Joren Arden Captured

Cornered alone in a cramped hole near one of his military bases, a weary, disheveled Joren Arden was seized by Imperial stormtroopers. He was only recently displayed on holonet frequencies within the Empire, a humiliating fate for one of history's most warmongering leaders.
The man who instigated and is waging a war of brutality along Imperial borders was unarmed when captured in a Styrofoam-covered underground hide-out, and did not resist, the Imperial military said. In the broadcast images, he resembled a desperate fugitive, not an all-powerful president who had ordered his army to fight to the death.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we got him,'' commented an attache to Regent Daemon Hyfe. "The tyrant is a prisoner.''
"He was just caught like a rat,'' said Captain Raine, whose ground forces staged the search and subsequent raid. "When you're in the bottom of a hole you can't fight back.''
Whether Arden's capture will curtail the Coalition's viscious attacks upon peaceful Imperial worlds, however, is unclear. Regent Hyfe cautioned that more anti-Imperial attacks were expected.
During the arrest of Arden, Imperial soldiers discovered "descriptive written material of significant value,'' another Imperial commander said, speaking on condition of anonymity. He declined to say whether the material related to the anti-Imperial actions of the Coalition or not.
Arden, who could face trial before the Imperial Ministry of Justice for war crimes, was defiant when top Imperial officials visited him in captivity hours later - people at the meeting said he refused to admit to human rights abuses.

The former President was taken to an undisclosed location where his identity has confirmed. Arden will now "face the justice he denied to millions,'' said Regent Hyfe, whose troops and intelligence agents have been searching for a quick and
decisive end to these brutal and vicious attacks upon the Empire by Coalition forces and allies.
