Seriously though, I hate writing the R&D intro RPs, I always just incorporate them into my actual threads, rather than create a separate thread altogether.
I don't think it's needed, and I do find it annoying. That being said, on a practical level, I see where Omnae is coming from, it gives people a way of seeing how they work, BEFORE they are used in a more competitive context, which can sometimes stop a potential argument in it's tracks before the actual RPing actually starts (though, this is still no guarantee , heh)
At this point, I don't think it's needed, provided the person who creates the RD understands that if they are using their techs in a competitive environment, and they try to pull something fishy off using their R&Ds, they may well find themselves castrated pretty quickly.
Same as the rest of the rules IMO, R&Ds are all well and great but if things are not RP'd fairly, and if someone's actions don't make sense, then it's subject to the same common sense rules.
R&Ds are not a licence to God mode.
I believe most peeps here now are VETs , you all understand this, but it still needs to be in black and white for any new members we may (hopefully) attract in the future.
