Luke chuckled, donning a lop-sided half grin that he'd adopted from Han, as he watched Artoo twittle around the mess hall of the Theed Jedi Base. Obviously taking in every scrap of information with that innate curiosity of his, Artoo was spinning his top-dome and location-scanning dish around wildly.
Standing up and rubbing the stubble forming on his chin, the Jedi Master stretched his aching muscles. The ride to Naboo in his T-65 X-Wing, despite being accelerated by Artoo's counterpart status with the ship, was a reminder of that the X-wing was not built for general use. Why Luke couldn't just get a shuttle, like everyone else, was explained only by the aging man's deep-seeded 'farm boy' nature...
Smiling again, he reached down, grabbing the mug of hot chocolate he'd prepared hastily and taking a sip.
EDIT: B-b-bump!

What looked like an asteroid hurdeled through space. To a passer by this looked like anything normal. It was brown with flecks of green on the surface. This asteroid was quicly moving towards the planet Naboo, as if it were somehow attached by a mystical force. However, this appearence was very decieving. The occupant inside was a dangerous foe. A foe which was yet to make himself a key figure in this universe. He was a Vong, but what made him dangerous was not that he was Vong, but the fact that he didn't believe in any Vong teachings. He was not the normal cocky Vong warrior, but a very cautious bounty hunter.
Recently, though, he had had very few assignments. He figured that he might as well see what was out there. He had heard of this planet Naboo, with it's rich vegetation and vast amount of wild creatures. He was also interested in what he had heard about the major political figures of this planet. He didn't care that they were known, but that they were political. Politicians always held grudges, and grudges were good for business. Even though under contract with an independant, he was free to roam. He figured this would give him something to do. The asteroid continued to hurdle through space.

Luke glanced idly at Han. His younger cousin... recently a Jedi Knight. Always nice to have more in the family...
"I'm well enough, Han. X-wing was a bit cramped- but Artoo seems happy enough. How are you?"
The question was obviously meant in a broad sense, as Han and Luke had really only met in passing, in the past...

Luke chuckled slightly, and glanced at Artoo as the little dome-headed droid bumped into a table repeatedly. The R2-unit was become increasingly quirking...
"Training Padawans isn't always that great, Han. Nor does it always provide satisfaction... look at Kyp Durron. Jedi Master or not, that boy is my worst failure..."
He turned his head, grinning wryly at his young cousin.
"...And that's saying something. I've had a lot of them."

*Han smiled a half smile*
"You've had many triummphsas well, though, cousin. Also, ya know, i've been wondering, did you let Solo tamper with Artoo's voice patterns? i swear its more vulgar then it used to be."

Luke smiled slowly, shaking his head.
"That's only because you didn't know him way back when me and Han met... he would curse up a storm as we made strafing runs on the Death Star."
He looked at the little droid, muttering something to himself.
"You seem like you have something on your mind, Han."
