Dellat, midnight.
In the middle of the night, Tec woke to darkness and pain all over his body. As his eyes adjusted, he found out that he was on the floor with shards of glass and splinters of wood in his arms and leg, but his right leg was in the most pain. Picking out the pieces he could see, he shut off the rest of the pain and concentrated with the Force. He stood and limped over to the door, where the light switch was, and found that it was working. Darn! Why isn't the light working? he thought to himself. When he turned away from the door, he froze as a memory almost eleven years old went through his mind.
He was washing off tables and cleaning off the bar at his family's bar well past his bedtime, so when he finished the table he was on, he headed to the kitchen where his parents would be so he could ask them if he could dry off and go to bed. As he opened the door lightly, he saw his dad backed up to a sink by a tall, light haired man with a stocky build and a blaster in his hand. When he looked farther off to the left, he saw his mother sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Slowly, he opened the door enough to squeeze through and once through, he closed the door just as slowly and tiptoed forward. When he came to a complete stop, the man suddenly turned his head and said out loud, "Well, now that the reunion is started, I guess I should go ahead and kill the two of you, in front of him, so that he will know you sinned and he won't have to pay your debts." The man laughed half madly and like he was already half dead. When he turned back, though, Tec only had a second to notice what was happening; his dad had swung his right arm forward and caught the man in the ribs so hard that anyone standing in the bar part could have heard five of the man's ribs crack, while his mother jumped off the bottom stair and landed on the man's head, both going to the ground with a loud thud. For a man with broken ribs and a most likely broken nose, he moved quickly. Jerking his arm back, he pulled Tec's mom's hair and yanked her off of his body at the same time Tec's dad started pulling out his own blaster. The man still had his blaster in hand and shot her twice, and when he turned to shoot Tec's dad, he shot for the head at the same time Tec's dad pulled the trigger of the blaster aimed at the tall man's heart, but the aim was off and it hit the tall man's arm. As his dad fell to the floor, already dead, his mother dying, the man ran as fast as he could towards the door, blood gushing down onto the floor. Tec then ran over to his parents, both on the floor not two feet apart, and Tec pulled them as close as he could and set both of their heads on his lap. The last words he heard out of his mother were , [b]"You have..made us proud...Tec. We love..you much....His name..is...Moritan." and then he saw her eyes close for the last time. Tec cried for hours before calling the guard, but by the time they arrived, Tec was already gone, leaving a note and almost none of his own possessions or his parent's.
When the memory stopped, Tec realized he was once again on the floor, weeping just as hard as he had then, and yelling out in emotional agony. A minute later, after he had calmed down slightly, he muttered, "I shall find him and bring him to justice!"
At this point, he was calmed down enough to hear footsteps in the hall, but he still wept and went back to a yell just above normal talking level.
