The countdown chronometer ticked off the last seconds, coming to rest at 000.000. It stayed there long enough to be recognized, and a sound projector gave off a small beep, indicating the alloted time had elapsed. The pair of eyes watching the clock noted this change, coordinated with the ears as they heard the chime. There was no other reaction, just acknowledgement within the man's mind. His eyes watched, and the chronometer began to change again. A new number popped up on the chronometer, and began ticking away. The silence around the chronometer was sufficent so that the tiny mechanical sound of its old fashioned gears clicking the seconds away could be heard. The number on the timepiece was not long. In just a short while, it would once again reach its final point, beep, and then repeat. It would continue in it cycle, 4 time after that, then it would come to rest. The man felt a surge of satisfaction as he thought of what each cycle would mean, but made sure not to allow his body to change in such away that such elation would be apparent. Nothing could interfere with its mechanical percision; it was pre-set to complete six cycles. It would do such, no matter the situation, no matter the enviroment. It would continue in the prescence of others or alone. In a way, the chronometer was symbolic of the acts it was tracking- methodical, unstoppable, pre-planned. They, like the clock, had a clearly defined mission, and had been set in motion by the hand of one man, who now sat there, watching the small timekeeper doing his bidding. Yes, the chronometer's progess was parallel to the acts it was tracking.

And the time was ticking away.

Galactic Empire: Empire Proper
Carida

The electronic card swiped easily down into its intended slot, and the door slid open. He had never doubted that would work, but apprhension had alway crept up in the back of his mind, ever since he had been approached, and asked to perfrom the task he was about to do. He had been vary, but his own feelings and the money involved had swayed his cautious mind. He hated everything about where he was- the discipline, the physical training, his peers- all of it! He wasn;t cut out for this line of work. Becoming a soldier was not his mindset. Sure he had thought it would have been great or he wouldn't have volunteered, but he had been dead wrong. Still, with the money he was getting to do this one small act, he could quit, slip back home to Ralltiir and no one would be the wiser.

He acknowledged the man who walked out as he stepped inside the doorway. He didn't speak however- formality was very tight, especially here, the explosives armory. With class rooms, and a large cafeteria nearby, often on the other side of partially armored walls, foolishness could be deadly. Besides- he didn;t want anyone to remember he had been here.

Getting guard duty had been easy- he had been assigned
it and had switched with a fellow classmate for the necessary time. He would be with another, always have at least two guards, but even in this zone, things would normally be very lax; the Imperial Academy was the heart of Imperial loyalists. Now all he had to do was carry out his plan.

It was so easy, as he put his rudimentary plan into action. He went in for an armory inspection, then sounding confused called for the other guard. Surprised, the other guy had entered, and been bashed in the face by a small box of thermal detantors. Out cold, he did what he had to do... cutting the guys throat with a standard issue vibr knife. It was lucky, that even in the armory, guard weren't required to wear full armor, not here on Carida. No- you weren't a trooper or officer yet- you wore fatigues. He thanked for the first time, Imperial beuracrcy. He went behind a pile of boxes and placed the small detanite charge. Then opened several boxes of thermal detantors and other explosives, primed several of the larger charges, then hit a small button starting the timer. Praying no one came in for an explosive requisition he locked the armory door, and then began making his way to the docking bay. He need to steal that TIE Avenger being serviced by new technican recruits and high tail it out of here.

Minutes later as he reached the docking bay, he felt the base rock as the explosion went off with a muffled roar...

Outer-Rim Sovereignty: Expansion Province
Honoghr

The transport was a stock model, bearing an ORS insigna and IFF transponder code. It declared it's cargo as food stuffs to be delivered to a wharehouse in Honoghr's capital city, a part of the well recieved ORS renewal package which had restored the homeworld of the noghri to its rightful state of beauty. The sentiment of gratitude to the ORS was high, and such continual aide seemed to be a great pennance for sins commited by the former governments who had dabbled in the affairs of the minute noghri.

The freighter followed its intended flight plan, and made an uneventful landing at a landing pad not far from the wharehouse. Unlike earlier such deliveries it was not met by a throng of happy noghri shouting praise (although that had been rare evn back in the beginning of the renewal process) instead a group of noghri and ORS soldiers were on hand to oversee the transfer of ORS property to the noghri people. No one expected anything, certainly no one could have anticipated what happened when the freighter's landing ramp let down, yet no crew exited. Unsure, several of the ORS soldiers and noghri moved forward, though distance from the vessel would have hardly mattered. In an instant, a tremendous explosion the landing pad was consumed by flames....

Aargau

The huge complex was bustling with people as it always was, both employee's and customers. Bussiness in the Bank or Aargau never stopped, constantly recieving transactions from across the galaxy, and often handling millions of in person customers a day, many who traveled lightyears to meet with financial advisers or start an account because they didn't have the technical acumen to do so virtually. Security of course was high, as always, even more so as a previous attack by the Jutraalian Empire had allowed the Aargauun Government to boost funding for defense measures during the wartime scare. Still, the bank was a nightmare to watch, so many people, milling about, going of to various departments to deal in specialized bussiness- many of them foriegn dignitaries who stopping or delaying could cause intergalactic incidents, and other representatives of huge megacorporations whose lost time could mean millions of lost credits.

Thus, when a single man walked into the bank carrying accompanied by an astromech droid, no one took notice. The astromech was obviously modifed, with a large access screen that was currently displaying stock market reports from the Bonadon Exchange, as well as perfecly accurate clock. No one noticed that the man tapped a small button on the screen, then got in line in a main teller area. He waited several minutes, peering at the screen often, and grimace or smiling as he watched his own holdings sway back and forth- it was a hard trading day. Suddenly, a look of panic came over his face, and after giving explicit instructions for the droid to save his place in line, he made his way quickly out of the bank.

4 minutes later the baridium packed droid exploded in a firestorm of death and destruction.

Galactic Empire: Bastion Conclave
N'Zoth

He hated them. Hated every last one of them. They were the oppressors. The traitors. Most looked up to them, thought they were the best, the true example of the perfect warrior. He merley despised them, and everything they were. He would kill them he would. Crush them, many of them, even though he would die in the process. It mattered little to him. He would die anyway. If he tried to escape, and they found out he had perpetrated the act, he would wish he was dead. He didn't want to live in this slavery anymore. Working for those infediels- what would Nil Spaar say?

He had been approached, very clandestinly, and had finally saw a way to go out with honor, to cleanse his body and soul. They had provided him with the means, and now it was his turn to carry out the act.

It would be on the bridge, the new one over the chasam. A large bridge, but just getting started. They would be supervising. They didn't need to- the workers were completly loyal, like the rest of the population. Still, they had orders. Years ago the legoinnares or the stormtrooper would have been needed on a project like this, to ensure it was completed. Today it was different- they were only there because regulations told them to be. It would be their undoing.

As he approached the site, his work position, he counted. A dozen human stormtroopers, and a spattering of legionnaires.

Plus all those traitorus workers.

He got into his welding harness, and with deft perscision, made his way over to the crital support beam. With no back- ups in place because of the earlier stage of construction, everything would fall. He manuevered himself under then beam, then pulled out the small yet extremly powerful permacrete detanator. He pressed the primer, then the detantor, and the world exploded into a sheer ball white, followed by nothing...

Tholatin Republic
Genosis

The huge stadium on Genosis was a draw to hundreds, even thousands of those bloodthristy creatures. Simulated battles, death duels, animal fights, whatever it didn't matter. The event that was taking place during the act mattered little- knowing the Geonosians, even after becoming part of the Tholatin Republic, it would not be a moral or ethical one.

It hadn't been hard to find a Geonosian to do the work. No, they were greedy, bloodthirsty aliens, and finding one to wedge the 5 heavy detanite charges with cobbled together timers on them had been simple. Since no one could possibly check under all the support sections, and because no one would ever want to, they had sat there, hidden in perfect locations for just the right time. When the appointed time came, the 5 explded in a special sequence, causing technically designed damage to a specific part of one of the many sections of the stadium. The damage was disasterous . A huge peice of the stadium collapsed in upon itself, and a avalance os stone and steal spilled out onto the occupants of the stadium floor, crushing and consuming all in its path. Hundreds of Geonosians took flight amid the confusion, but the deed had been done. A later look at the stadium plan would reveal the section contained a private section for TTR soldiers and officals, all of them perishing or liein trapped under the huge pile of rubble. This time, a visit to the collesium had truly been a quest for blood.

Galactic Empire: Yaga Minor Protectorate
Eriadu

The final peice of the puzzle fell into place, preciscly 1 time unit, Coruscant standard time after the first. The final letter of the message was spelled out in no special way, just what happened to work, although of all the events it might seem like the most spectacular.

The small ships had popped out of hyperspace close to Eriadu, a pair of skipray blastboats and two large bulk freighters, marked as a shipping company making a scheduled ore delivery to fuel the industrial fires of Eriadu. Not acknowledging the hails from the Imperial ground control, a Victory Star Destroyer and some scrambled TIEs, were sent to intercept the possibly dangerous skiprays, and their odd fellows, 2 container ships. Hailing the vessels failed, and the victory was forced to open fire. Turbolaser shots slammed against the container vessel, busting through the weak sheilds, and opening huge holes in the thin hull of the ships. The TIE's came swooping in, and got into a life and death struggle with the skiprays, which tenaciously guarded their transports.

The VSD's fire suddenly sent one bulk freighter up in a shower of sparks and flame, and huge peices of wreckage littered the space over Eradiu. However, the other transport continued flying, veering only slightly, pulling up as if trying to escape the deadly shots of light eminating from the VSD. The next barrage sent up another explosion, but as the shockwave died another vessel had appeared in the place of the large transport- a robot ramship. The VSD's captain fought back a sudden blast of anxiety and ordered evasive manuevers, as well as diverting engine power to weapons, a set of contradictory orders that would prove disasterous. It locomotion suddenly lessened, the VSD let losse a torrent of fire, which struck the bulbous head of the ramship, but had little visible effect- solid durasteel melted away to reveal more durasteel.

Suddenly the ramship fired it's booster engines, and coming in from a high angle collided with the VSD, with it's first contact point being just below the triangular bridge. A catastrophic explosion resulted, as the tons of ramship collided at high speed with the armor and structure of the warship. It was no contest.

The skiprays turned, and made a beeline for the hyperlanes, TIE chasing intently afterwards....

Undiscolsed location

The chronometer clicked its final seconds off, beeped twice then lay still. The man nodded, and got up from his seat, where he had sat watching the chronometer. He pulled out a small control and turned on a holonet broadcast.

I wonder how long it will take them....to figure out the message?

Geonosis- Stadium

"What happened?"

"Explosives knocked out the support structure. Everything collapsed."

"Terrorists?"

"We believe so."

Commander Dorja stroked her chin. There hadn't been many soldiers at the stadium that day because they were out scowering the old droid facilities for information. The stadium had been full of Geonosians more than TTR soldiers. It had been a lucky thing or a lot more wives wouldn't be seiing their husbands again.

"Well, continue the excavation."

"Yes, ma'am."

Past

"... hereby accept a formal promotion from the Commonwealth Ministry of State, Consular Operations Division, this day..."

...Flash..

Present

The blast caused a hail of glass to be thrown in his general direction. It was only the fact that he and his girlfriend turned to glance at a passing man who bumped into the man as he rushed past.

"Excuse you.." mumbled the Caprician man but the rudeness of the other did not alter his generally happy mood.

Having been released by the doctor's finally after his fight with a Yuuzhan Vong aboard the Blaze of Glory, he was finally glad to be on vacation with the woman he loved and out in the sun.

The shockwave threw them both off their feet as the glass overtook them...

Past

The man turned wincing as he maneuvered an arm in a sling around the ceremony attendees.

"Join!" came a shout and he turned to the familiar voice of the once leader of the dissolved Clan Scipio.

"Arien.." he greeted, a smile breaking his typical stoic attitude.

"Leave it to the Yuuzhan Vong to loosen you up.." she joked.

"Where's your mechanical man of mystery?" he asked looking around.

"Just left for Bonadan." She answered grinning.

"And you're still here? I'd have thought that you would already have picked out your apartment near Vinda's office.."

She patted his injured shoulder and he winced, accepting the silent rebuke.

"Now that your a full member of Con Ops, you going to see the galaxy.."

"Not this month.. I'm on vacation!"

"Where are you off too?"

"Aargau."

"Doesn't sound like the vacation capital of the universe.." she said, frowning at the name.

"Well, it's not Oseon but then I am not a rich man either, I work for the government remember. Besides Karren wants to plan for the future.."

"So you're going to see a broker?!!" Scipio asked incredulously. "On your vacation?!"

"Well, we received this offer for several free nights on this lakeside resort if we go and hear them out." he offered a bit sheepishly.

...Flash..

Present

Mass panic as screams invaded Join's ears amid sirens. He was shaking his head numbly rolling onto his knees as he felt a slickness over his hands.

He went to wipe his forehead and felt more slick wetness and vision slowly returned. Colors and shapes sharpened and a scene of horrible destruction littered his eyes.

He turned and found his girlfriend lying on her side and started scrambling towards her.

"Karren!"

He rolled her over and found similiar cuts and gashes and blood. A stranger grabbed his shoulder and he looked up into the eyes of a medic, his own pleading with the man as he gazed back down to her.

"Let me check her.." and Join moved (more like stumbled) out of the way.

He stood and turned his sight to the origins of the smoke travelling across the Aargau sky.

He stared at the gaping hole as entire levels of the building were exposed, several floors collapsing onto one another.

"Wha.. what happened?"

Sparks from severed computer conduits and electrical circuits popped here and there.

The building's damage though paled in comparision to the outer perimeter of destruction that surrounded ground zero. Bodies and remains were scattered in and around the debris field which made the once prestine area look like the aftermath of an invader battle.

If he had been any closer he would not have been among the breathing.

Suddenly, Karren started coughing which immediately drew his attention.. the shock beginning to ebb slowly.

His brain seemed to be thinking fifty times slower than what he was watching as emergency crews, civilian response teams and law enforcement all converged.

Medics with a stretcher came up to them and they gently placed Karren on it. Join followed slowly, another medic patching up the wounds he ignored.

Climbing into a nearby shuttle, he watched as other victims in various stages of injury (though not classified as critical) also entered.

As the craft lifted, he felt someone's hand gently squeeze his and he looked down into Karren's open eyes. The oxygen filtration mask on her prevented her from speaking but her eyes told volumes.

I am going to get the bastards that did this..

Brutus Nogoth looked over the datapad, his eyes going up and down the proposed plan. After a few minutes he looked up, into the face Hilter Afdol, one of the founder members of the GLF. The man who provided Brutus with a boost of strategic insight and ingenius planning. A man who Brutus trusted, and more importantly, one of the few men Brutus respected. Hilter met his eyes, waiting for Brutus to comment.

"Can it be done, Hilter?"

The thin features of his advisor took on an expression Brutus recognized as the one Afdol used when he was about to explain the pros and cons of the a situation or objective.

"Brutus, as I am constantly reminding you, with proper planning and connections, anything is possible. As far as we have come I would have to assume you would no that by now."

Brutus nodded slightly. Only a short time ago, he would have never imagined that his brainchild would ever have the power with which it now controlled, the ability to do the things which he had so recently done. It's getting there had been a combination of Brutus's dedication, charisma- and a stroke of luck that was greatly influenced by Hilter Afdol's persistance. Brutus reminded himself every day how lucky he was to have Afdol at his side.

"You know, Hilter, that I am a man who believes only in that which is defined. I will leave you to decisions on matters which your descretion is necessary."

Hilter sighed. Brutus knew why. They had discussed why many times. He was prepared to do so again, but thankfuly, his advisor simply went back to the matter at hand.

"Using what they already have established will make things much easier. The money is not an issue."

Brutus knew that was the case. Despite the progress the GLF had made, the connections they now had, they were not everywhere. The galaxy was a tremendously large. Brutus often used an exact number which was the generally excepted estimate by most galactic scientists when discussing the size of the galaxy. He refrained however- he was certain Hilter had heard him say it enough times. As for the statment about money, well, Brutus knew that for except for extremly rare ocassions he had to worry very little about money.

"Easier, Hilter, but not necessaily safer. The Sovereignty is already aware of the Liberty Sects precsence- they'll be expecting something."

Hilter just looked at Brutus.

"Trust me, it will work. I have followed the conflict on Anoat. I know how hard the Sect fought the Soveringty. They will do anything do strike back."

Brutus looked back intently at his advisor. He too had been watching the conflict on Anoat carefully. The Liberty Sect had fought the Sovereignty tooth and nail, trench to trench, to the very walls of Anoat city. The Sect's stronghold had fallen, but the Sect itself lived on.

Brutus nodded.

"Put it into motion."

Hilter smiled, and got up to leave. Brutus signaled him to sit.

"What of the other target?"

Hilter nodded.

"Our operation for Sullust is already in motion."

Brutus looked stern.

"It must not happen before, you know that Hilter."

"I know Brutus."

"Good. You may leave."

Hilter Afdol got up, smiled at Brutus then left. Brutus watched him leave then stared at the chronometer, watching it sit in the silence of the room. Watching, and thinking....

Bonadan

VC-HQ

By the time word got back to Bonadan and Vinda about the attack upon Aargau , Security forces of all planets and designations were already reacting to the unforeseen threat.

Surrounded by a throng of security, press, and financial advisors Vinda’s mood was dark…

“…in the name of Vader!… I can’t listen to all of you at once!, one at a time!..”He barked out aloud, trying hard to keep his cool, and a sudden hush descended upon his office..

“…thank you, gentleman…right, you first” His eyes settled upon , the rather solid form of the Head of BAS (bank of Aargau security) , Commander Tungstan, who stepped forward to speak…

“…the attack was swift but brutal, and very effective, but our security teams acted just as swiftly, they are sweeping the entire area as we speak…all air traffic is suspended until we can ascertain the situation more clearly…the planet is effectively on lockdown..no craft has been allowed to leave…” He reported calmly…

“..we are confident this is a one off attack , rest assured BAS is doing all we can…but” His eyes glanced to the side of the room where the silent figure of Kaneda Soom sat, in fact he had been silent the whole time. The Commander did not know who he was, and his calm but stern gaze slightly unnerved him…

“…we could do with more help…”

Vinda grunted in approval and spoke clearly, the subtle traces of anger clearly evident within his voice…

“..then you shall get it Commander…Mr Katta shall see to any financial concerns you may have…as to added security, Reserve staff, medical , and construction teams are en route as we speak…Admiral Viglianco is overseeing the naval contingent...in case this attacks turns out to be something ...more”

As his words left his mouth Vinda could see his head financial advisor, a rather nervy looking Twi’lek by the name of Losan , barely managing to keep himself quiet, and his gaze fell to him…

“…what is it Losan?…” Asked Vinda, with an air of annoyance..

The Twi’lek glanced around the room nervously at the others before he spoke…

“…with all due respect sir, I understand the Commander is only doing his job, but I have to object to the lockdown of Aargau…with the shutdown of the bank, and the stock exchange…well..the financial costs will be huge!…we’ve already lost a day’s trading…we can’t take such an action lightly…”

Vinda raised his hand , as if to calm the advisor down…

“…the people come first Losan, we can temporarily re-route most trading through to both Kir or Etti-IV, both have Bank of Aargau subsidiaries , they have up to date records on all trading and accounts…the Bank of Bonadan can help alleviate some of the burden too, As a sector we are economically strong, we can weather it…but it’s the rest of the Galaxy I am concerned about…”

Another advisor stepped forward as Vinda finished speaking, Commisar Torell, the head of Bonadan’s security police force…

“…Mr Vinda , I am sure you are aware that if an attack can be achieved upon Aargau, then we need to accept the fact that Bonadan may well be next , until we know more about these…terrorists, we can only second-guess their motives…as such customs and excise have been increasing their patrols …we have also started a random stop and search policy…”

Vinda sighed and nodded, and he scowled further…

“…that could be expensive , and a waste of time…”

Glancing up in surprise, Vinda joined the rest of the throng as they turned to face the direction of the voice.

Kaneda Soom.

Vinda introduced the Section agent…

“…gentleman, this is Mr Soom, one of our top Security advisors…”

As the others looked upon him with a kind of confused gaze, Kaneda rose from the chair, and straightened his suit, his cane firmly grasped within his left hand…

“…Gentleman…The attack upon Aargau is not a one off…”As the gaggle of advisors began to chatter and look amongst themselves nervously, Kaneda waited for his words to sink in before he continued…

“…there have been five other attacks…simulatanouesly…all on major galactic governments, whoever is behind these attacks is attacking the galaxy as a whole , not Vinda-Corp , persae…the attacks have occurred upon the Empire, The Outer Rim Soverignty, and the Tholitan Republic ,amongst others. Furthermore we have learned that all these attacks were set to occur at the exact same time as each other...which leads us to believe that whoever is behind this, is meticulous , highly motivated , sophisticated, and patient..”

Commander Tungstan, who up until this moment had remained silent, voiced his thoughts..

“..and how in the hell do you know about all of this?…”He blurted out..

Kaneda smiled faintly.

“…we have our sources…only a couple of these governments have made these attacks public knowledge…but we have our ways…” He explained , ominously…

He turned to face Vinda…

“…we already have operatives combing the area for any clues, we shall need to look over BAS’s security footage filmed by the Bank’s security monitoring systems…we shall also need access to the banks accounts…we wish to track and trace all transactions that occurred around the time of the explosion…there maybe a link…”

Commander Tungstan looked at Kaneda with incredulity ….

“…Operatives!?…what bloody Operatives!?…what the hell is he talking about!?…you can’t be serious!…you expect us to simply allow you to nose around both our security systems and records!…you’re out of your mind…just what is it you do , Mr Soom?…”

“…I am a …Civil Servant…of sorts” The Section agent replied calmly.

“...Hah!… you’re a bloody spook!…” He shouted out triumphantly , both in surprise and mild amusement…

Tungstan turned to face Vinda…

“…the Bank will not agree to this…you know as well as I do…”The Commander’s words were cut-off as the Vinda-Corp figuredhead interjected…

“…the Bank already has, Mr Tungstan…”

The Commander stood there with his jaw gaping, dumbfounded…and Vinda continued…

“…Commander, you know as well as I this is both beyond your control and your resources , even you yourself admitted that a moment ago…”

“…wha?…this…this is unheard off?…” Tungstan managed to stammer back…

“…and so are these attacks, Commander..” Replied Kaneda, leaning forward upon his cane…

Vinda murmured in agreement and turned his attention back to the Operative…

“…what would you advise, Mr Soom?…”

“…a security review, Section and BAS shall work together on making sure this kind of attack does not happen again…however for the moment, we shall be contacting the various forms of Governments affected by these acts…

I recommend we go public, its about damage control now…theres no way we would be able to cover the attack up anyway, besides, having an observant public might just help us …we have already drawn up a list of security protocols that I suggest we put in place immediately .. “

Kaneda's eyes gauged the others in the room as he finished speaking.

He would be going to Aargau himself, to oversee the measures were implemented , personally.

Vinda nodded and scowled as he leant back into his chair, causing the leather to creak slightly. The gravity of the situation dawned upon him slowly…

The Empire attacked too?…

Pausing a moment to find the right words Vinda addressed everyone…

“…listen up people, we need to work together on this one…cowards have attacked us on our own terrority, right in front of our eyes….

…this will not stand.

Make no mistake Gentleman, whoever did this...

will pay.

Scene of the crime shortly after the bombing.

The Red colored Zed model law unit walked into a scene of carnage. The living had been removed but that was about the extent of the disturbance of the crime scene.

Six humans and two more traditional Zed law droid units stood guard at the parimeter. An area of 100 meters from the front of the building had been sectioned off with holo-lines. If anyone passed the line the guards would be alerted and the trespasser would be arrested.

Zed wore several things that were uncharecteristic for a droid. The first obvious things were the trenchcoat that he had on as a second layer of armor as well as an indication of his rank. Zed was a free droid and one the left side of the coat he wore a symbol of his status. The badge was an indication that he was a member of the Vinda corp Civil Law Force (CLF). When something of this magnitude happened his people were the ones that handled the on had work. He managed system patrols and the like.

His dog like quadrapedal counter part, K7-9, was ahead of him sniffing for clues. The area was being scanned for the holo-record. Making sure that the scene was recorded as is.

The dog like droid was designed with an extra sensitive sense of smell. This was quite the boone on the law droids cases.

With holo-graphic records the law droid has noted the location of each person as per before the blast. From the calculations of the distance that glass and other debris has traveled the droid estimated the amount of explosives that the bomber used.

Parts of the droid were located.

K7's nose told the droid the explosives molecular make up immediately.

The counter part could not talk but did bark in droid code.

"Baridium..." The droid said to himself.

The droid would be collected and analyzed. With knowledge of it's origin they may be able to find some clues to the killers in it's past.

Zednine left the scene well in hand with the furensics team.

There was a trail of several cameras in the immediate area that held a picture of the man walking away from the scene. Zed triangulated the mans exact path from 15 cameras. All that could be found before the perp dissappeared without a trace.

K7-9, metal nose to the ground, tooking all the molicules from this path. Separating the various scents until he had a match for the person following the exact path.

This was note the work of the Observer Orders Force terrorists that he had been investigating over the last several months. That much he was such of.

"We have a new player K-seven." Zednine said to his counter part.

Kseven answered with an affirmative Yip.

At the board room.

“…listen up people, we need to work together on this one…cowards have attacked us on our own terrority, right in front of our eyes….

…this will not stand.

Make no mistake Gentleman, whoever did this...

…will pay." Mr. Vinda finishes with flourish as is his usual style.

Quite dramatic and intense in a less then obvious way.

The door to the office opened just then.

"Yes, sir they well pay." K7-9 had been sitting in a corner waiting for his master. A tight beam transmission later and Zednine was caught up on the current discussion.

"Pardon the late entrance gentlemen but I was rushed on this particular case." The droid nodds to agent Soom.

"Furensics are coming in from the CLF now sir, we have Scent data on the perpetrator and the droid is being analysed for it's origins. We know the delivery device used baridium as the delivery agent." The droid looked around at the group.

"Given two days I well have narrowed the search considerably. What I can say is that this is not any of the currently known players in the terrorist circles. Not my force terrorists, not any of the known governments that use such tactics." The droid pauses to let the significance sink in.

"We have a new foe and speaking for the entire CLF. We well see to it that you have the information to make them pay for their crimes in full."

The apartment was nothing special, a small 1 room dive which he had quickly rented after he had been unable to find passage of the planet. The tension was eating away at his nerves- he was not supposed to be stuck on the godforsaken banking planet. He had enough credits (several hundred thousands) to leave the Tingel and live modestly without working, at least for a decade. He could dedicate his life to environmental concearns...... protecting the beauty of the galaxy that horrid corporations like Vinda Inc ruined everyday. He didn't care if the Bank of Aargau didn't directly deficate the environment- they still handled transactions of companies that did, probably proivding them with the capital they needed to smash poor, defenseless, natural wonders into natural resources.

He had spent a good deal of time fighting corporations like Vinda, out here on the rim, protesting and staging boycotts and other small time measures. However, when a shady man had pulled him aside at a Citizens for Cleanliness Rally, on Denon, and offered him a large sum of money if he would set an explosive in the Bank of Aargau, he had almost immediatly excepted. He'd been provided with the droid, and given an exact time to perform the task, and told where he could pick up the cash when he had done the deed. He hadn;t felt any danger, the mission had been simple really- although as he left the droid it had been genuine panic crossing his face as he realized exactly what he was doing. Still, when everything had gone on perfectly, his fear had subsided- it had been so easy! Of course, he hadn't expected to be stuck on the VC world, waiting for the lock-down to be rescinded.

The fear was back, and not even the pile of credit chips could soothe them away. He refused to answer the door, and spent most of his time reading an old environment datapad, and watching the holonews, hoping the lock down would be lifted soon....

Outer Rim Sovereignty: Ison Province
Ison

The cell was already established, along with two backups. The Liberty Sect had made the main staging area in a refugee camp which the ORS government had graciosuly set up for those fleeing conflicts with the Empire, Anthos, and the Kathol Protectorate. The irony of the Liberty Sect hiding among an ORS sponsored facility had struck the leader of the Liberty Sect quite nicely, and subsenquently, the cell had recieved excellent attention. Its main base was underground, acessed by a secret enterance in the camp, and was large enough to house several dozen people for 3 weeks, and store several tons of weapons and other supplies. Unfortunately, those stores had been emptied to support the Liberty Sect on Anoat, as the group had poured all of it's resources into that doomed fight. The cell had become almost empty, devoid of people and the necessary materials for the cell to operate should it be called upon.

However, that was no longer the case.

Liberty Sect fanatics, along with GLF terrorists had been sent to the planet, just one drop of the thousands, the hundreds of thousands, who were pouring in to make use of the generosity being shown by the ORS. Outside of Bothan space, there was no where else those displaced by the Galactic War could go. ORS was benefiting from the influx of workers, many of whom helped in the terraforming of Ison, other volunteering to join the ORS military. Still, this openess allowed the terrorist to make it to the planet undiscovered.

Their supplies were brought in a similar fashion, an unmarked freighter bringing in foodstuffs, actually smuggling weapons and explosives for use in the upcoming operation.

Soon..... soon the next word in the message would be written.

Galactic Empire: Yaga Minor Protectorate
Sullust

The recent attack on Sullust by the alien untiy group known as the Diversity Alliance had greatly increased the native Sullustians awarness of their vunerability, even in the caves under the planets surface where they dwelled. Although the attack ahd been repelled, only some ingenious tactics on the part of an outnumbered Imperial garrison had prevented the planet from falling to the DA.

As a direct result, and increased demand for personal saftey equipment had been seen, and local providers had uickly succumbed to the mass demand. Sensing a bussiness oppurtunity, a certain Orga Industries, a weapons manufactuer had stepped up production, and built several large warehouses to store there goods on the volcanic world. In recent days, a huge number of deliveries had been made, as the company been stockpiling inventory for a populace griped with post invasion anxiety.

He had wanted to see it in person. Why? Why was a question he rarely asked himself these days. One foot went forward, stepping forward over some rubble, and onto a chunk of wall. This chunk appeared to be fairly stable, unlike the piece he had just left. His aid was rattling off various aspects of the investigation thus far, the kind of explosive, the quarantine of the planet, the extent of the search parameters, etc. Nothing he didn't either know already, or couldn't see with his own eyes.

The devastation was incredible. According to the eyewitnesses the building had trembled for a second, though no sound was heard. Then suddenly windows had imploded into the building. The implosion was followed a micro-second later by a deafening explosion of sound, which blew out the walls of building #2, and everything else surrounding this part of the complex. Trees had been flattened, people had been lifted off their feet, and windows from all the surrounding buildings had shattered.

The current condition of Building #2 for the Bank of Aagrau was one of complete devastation. Standing inside, Kas looked up at the ceiling, or where the ceiling had been.. The explosion had hollowed out an enormous circle, which in turn had been filled with the upper floors as they collapsed inward. "This was a baradium based bomb," said Kas' aid. Everything inside had been instantly vaporized, including the air. According to the ever-talkative aid, that was why the windows had imploded, rather than exploded. After the implosion, a combination of gasses leaking from now open pipes and the vapors left from the explosion had caused the second, much more devastating explosion.

"...according to this paper, the gasses from the heating system combined--"

"Survivors, how many?" interrupted Kas. He was done here. Turning, he began to walk back to the perimeter.

"Ah, not many from inside the building. Everyone in the center near the clerk counters died. A few dozen who were near the exits survived, and about a score from the upper floors, people who worked near the outer wall and weren't near the center when the floors began to fall in. Some who were in the rear of the building, out of the explosion radius."

"And bank surveillance?"

"Recordings stored offsite as per code," replied the aid, slightly annoyed. Hadn't he just gone over this? "Being analyzed now, we--"

Kas interrupted. "Right. Give them what they want.

His aid handed him a paper, and he glanced it over. An itemized listing of required objects was written in neat handwriting. With a quick scribble his signature appeared on the bottom, and the aid took it back.

As he stepped into his speeder, Kas glanced at the crowd of people still gathered around ground zero. A few were looking at him in curiosity, but most were staring at a few rescue workers as they lifted a body from the rubble. For a moment he thought he saw someone familiar, but closer inspection didn't conform the suspicion.

"Spaceport." He told the driver.
