A crusade. Yeah that was it. No wait. Going to Adumar in the hopes of adding it to the Republic isn't a crusade, is it? Nah, it's not a crusade. More of a Diplomatic consort. Yeah, that's it.
"..and the probability of having a military encounter is very high. The people of Adumar are known for..."
He was in a senate meeting and the Chancellor was droning on and on about how Adumar would be added. He seemed dead set on some sort of military action taking place. Kamon was set on the opposite. Destroying them wouldn't make a good impression.
You couldn't go to a planet and just attack it. You had to have a diplomatic talk at least. It was common knowledge that they loved to fight and especially enjoyed fighter combat. Live fire actions. Kamon shivered at the thought.
He was a pretty good pilot without the Force but with it he was almost unstoppable. He'd wipe any Adumarian pilots off the face of the planet. The poor fools wouldn't stand a chance against him or even the Republic Elite Squadron.
"... and they seem to enjoy live fire..."
"Exercizes. Yeah we know. Enough of the babble about the planet. We all read the info file. Let's vote."
"Yes, yes. I was getting to that. All in favor of adding the planet Adumar to the Republic say aye."
A chorus of Ayes filled the room and a secreatary counted them.
"All against say Nay."
No one said Nay and Kamon nodded.
"It is decided then. Adumar will eb the next planet allowed into the Republic."

Donovin sat within the quiet and comfy confines of his office within Tholatin territory doing minor research on the planet of Adumar. The Jedi's time as of late had become rather demanding, giving the man hardly any free time to himself. He didn't mind giving up his time though, as long as it was being spent doing something productive.
Scan of Adumar...
.. home to the Adumari, a group of humans, which are known to have an intricate social society…. the main manufacturing of Adumar was once based on production of war material, accomplished in the make of proton torpedoes....
Cole continued to read on for a little while longer, stopping about five minutes later after he came up short on the type of information he was looking for.
".. Pretty much built on the past," he mumbled to himself.
Pushing his datapad aside the Jedi's hands then fell to his face, a strenuous look crossing his face at the same time.
He did not have time for this.
Moving his hands to rub at his chin for a moment, he contemplated on leaving or staying to try and do another search, though more thorough. It would take more time, but he'd probably come up with a more extensive response.
He just did not want to bother; the reading was boring.
I've got to get going... Kamon will be expecting me soon...
Any excuse he could think of not to finish his research.
Cleaning his desk up so that it looked at least half way presentable, he then headed on down the hall, on route to see Kamon.

Oh the insanity of leading a Republic. Who'd have ever thought it would be this hard to get things done?
Kamon had grown accustomed to his office and that was not a good thing. Being a military men meant he needed to be out and about doing stuff. Paperwork was just not his thing and he hated doing it. He'd rather spend time at home with his wife and kids than sitting in a boring office on the sixth level of the castle.
He leaned back in his chair and twisted a coin around in his hand. He had become somewhat of a coin handler the past couple of weeks while sitting around in the office. He could pass it around his knuckles with relative ease. He'd even gotten to the point where he could do some of the diappearing tricks with the coin. And that was without using the Force.
Adumar occupied his mind now. He was finally going to get to go out and do something other thatn sitting in a boring office all day. Malaya was on leave for a few days so that she could get accustomed to the planet. Being new to Tholatin she did not know much of anything abou it. He had hired a guide for her and the guide would take her just about everywhere. Including to the site of the old castle. He was brought back from his reverie by a knock at the door.
"Come in."
The door cracked open and his friend and Master, Cole Donovin, stepped into the room. Cole was the head of TTR's Intelligence Division. A Secret that only he and Cole knew. No one else knew that he was the DRI. It was something Kamon liked knowing.
"Master Cole. Please take a seat. What can you tell me?"

Cole entered the room, his gaze immediately falling onto Kamon as he entered.
"Sorry I'm late," he said as he took a seat across from where Kamon sat at his desk. The Jedi immediately went into giving Kamon the details on what he knew about Adumar.
"Well all the information I found is a bit hard to decipher as most of the details pertain to past history of the planet. I only managed to find one small detail on the planet's government, and even now, I'm not sure if it even exists. The Adumari Union is or perhaps was the government used to instate the planet's laws and policies. Adumar is the last planet in the Gus Treta system..."
Cole found himself pausing, trying to recite everything that he could about the planet by memory. The information he was giving Kamon was clearly not in any particular order, though he very much would have liked to present to Kamon everything about the planet in chronological, he just didn't have the time.
"The planet seems to have its own form of lingo, not really all that hard to understand, I can pass along the lingo notes to you later on. Cartann was said to be one of the largest and strongest land area within Adumar... Cartann City.. is Cantann's capital city. Cartann City a rather large city, I found quite a bit of extensive history, but due to our time restriction, I guess I'll have to give you all that info later. Referring back to Cartann, it has two fighter bases, Cartann Bladedrome, not really sure of the other base. Credcoin is the form of money used by the Adumari, the primitive human species of Adumar. The Blastsword was at one time the traditional Adumari weapon, not sure what it is today. Though probably not all that important, I'm going to make you aware of it anyway... Farumme... You'll probably see these reptilian beasts on Adumar; they're about seven to ten meters in length, and their coloration ranges from brown to green. Their scales hold a natural armor which covers their neck and sides and er.. you can use them for means of transportation about the planet. Turumme are another form of reptile that you'll find to reside on the planet as well."
Donovin continued on, the words flowed effortlessly from him.
"Halbegardia is one of the larger land areas located on Adumar. Umm... let's see, there was a great number of people that made quite an impact upon the planet, including the great Wedge Antilles. I'm pretty sure that the planet is heavily guarded, as the planet is big on war material. Tetanna is another landmass that exists on Adumar, as well as Thozzelling and Yedagon. Yedagon City is the capital Yedagon. Yedagonian Confederacy was the governmental body that controlled Yedagon..."
Donovin cleared his throat nervously as he prepared to tell Kamon he was finished, hoping that he hadn't taken up too much of the man's time.
"... And that's pretty much it, besides the gaps that I said I would fill in later..."
An inquisitive gaze fell about the Jedi's face.
"Is there anything else that you might wish to know?"

Kamon sat back in his chair and glanced over his friend and mentor. Cole was dressed in his traditional garb, and Kamon was too. Neither of them really liked their other uniforms even though both had them. They always seemed tight and uncomfortable. Not to mention they looked kinda bad unless you were at a party.
"At the moment there is nothing else I need to know. I know the basics myself from working for the New Republic a while back. They had rather extensive archives on the planet. I believe I read them over fully at one point as I was quite interested in the planet."
It was true, he had been very interested in the planet back when he was a Vice Admiral for the New Republic. Not as interested as he was now, but still interested. The planet was built around a militaristic religion. The pilots of their vessels loved to fight and he had heard from Wedge that they were pretty good.
"I've talked to Wedge in the past about their fighter and the pilots. He admitted to me that they were really good. At the time he was there, though, Rogue Squadron was still flying the old model X-wing. They weren't flying the XJ series. The XJ series, I believe would outgun them heavily."
In his past experience with fighters he was more aken to flying an A-wing than an X-wing. He had always enjoyed the speed better than the performance. Speed was his greatest ability to fly with. Hence why he had designed the Rapyir. It was a fast fighter designed for performance and speed. It had turned out real well, even though it had only limited use in battle.
"I believe the Rapyir-class Star Fighters will be able to handle their fighters pretty easily. Even the Tie Vanguards should be able to. These new fighters should outclass their traditional ones. Our pilots are pretty good too. We'll make sure to take Omega and Spirit Squadrons along for the trip."
He sat forward in his chair again and eyed Cole from across the desk. From Kamon's perspective, this mission would not be that hard. Of course Kamon's perspective almost always turned out to be wrong. Soemthing always seemed to happen and the mission would go of course.
"Well, we'll leave in six hours. I'd like to get over there quick so we'll be taking a Tholatin-class Star Destroyer. They're the fastest of the bigger ships. It shouldn't take us long to get there."

"You make it sound so easy, Kamon," he said, shaking his head slightly as he looked over at his friend. Donovin was not as confident as Kamon was, but he did believe that the mission itself was a risk worth taking.
"It seems we've both done quite a bit of extensive research, that'll help us in the long run. Be wary, Kamon. There is still much that could come about that can catch us all off guard."
Donovin always tended to be serious when it came to missions, always extremely focused, perhaps too focused.
"I still have some packing to do. I got so caught up in the research that I have not had time to pack yet. Wouldn't be too good if I forgot my equipment."
The Jedi neglected, though it was on his mind, to ask if anyone else from the Tholatin Republic would be joining them. He did not want to delude himself into letting his mind wander away from what was really important, the mission.
"See you in six hours then," he said, getting to his feet in a hurry, quickly making his way to the door.
"Remember what I said, Kamon, be wary," he said with a slight stern look as he turned to look at Kamon from the doorway. Without another word he left the man to sit at his desk, there was still much more work to be done to prepare for the trip ahead.

"Yes, master."
Kamon watched his Master and mentor leave the room and he sat back in the chair. Sighing, he wished he wasn't going on this mission, wished he wasn't in charge of a government, wished he was alone to do what he wanted to. None of these things would be granted to him, not now, not ever. For all he knew, this mission could be the death of him.
He stood and walke dover to the door. DImming the lights, he opened the door and walked out into the foyer and the secretary's office. She was already gone for the night as Kamon knew she would be. It was usual for him to leave the office last and usual for him to be there first. It wasn't unlike him to show up late though at some points.
For now he concentrated on silently slipping down the hall to the turbolift that would take him up to the floor he and his family occupied. It shuddered to life and he ascended the three floors before stopping. Stepping out, he walked over to the door and went inside. Walking quickly to the bedroom where his wife was already asleep, he slipped off his clothes and climbed into bed next to her. Wrapping an arm around her he soon fell asleep.

Sleep was not something Cole was able to afford as he prepared for the trip ahead. Like Kamon, he detested going to Adumar as well.
Nowadays the Jedi had to force himself to do most of his work, they only true thing that kept him moving was the fact that others depended on him, and to him, that mattered.
He would suffer for his lack of sleep, but he didn't care. There was too much on his mind and too much to get done.
Instead of sleeping he packed, putting together and filling his bags with a lot of the high-tech equipment that he knew he would need. If he were lucky, he'd catch a few winks on the way to Adumar, and if not, he'd make due.
As he continued to pack, a vibe like no other settled into his mind, but he straightforwardly pushed the feelings aside. The Jedi's senses' through the force were not always accurately correct. He trusted, deeply, that he was inaccurate.

When Kamon awoke the next morning he found that all his equipment had been packed along with sets of clothing. The maids had been busy during the night along with several of his aids and he knew to be thankful for that fact. Sighing he got up and slowly went to the fresher to clean up before the trip. It didn't take long before he was completely relaxed in the shower.
When he was finished he got dressed into a formal uniform instead of his standard Jedi garb. Clipping his lightsabers to his belt and adjusting his clasp that held his cloak up, he walked out the door and down the hall to the hangar where he boarded a Lambda shuttle and sat across from Cole.
"You look extremely tired, master cole. Did you not sleep last night?"

Donovin's green eyes where lightly shut as he sat aboard the Lambda shuttle, but his eyes were quick to flutter open as he felt a presence draw close to his own.
The Jedi Master gave off a slight droopy stare as he glanced to look at his comrade. He let his hands rub at his eyes for a moment before he answered Kamon.
"Not a wink, Kamon, but I'll be alright. I can go for quite a few days without any sleep, meditation is quite useful in that respect."
The tired gaze that Cole held removed itself for just a moment as he gave the Rogue a gruff smile.
"I'll be alright."
He looked to the bag that sat by him on the floor.
"I was getting all the necessary equipment that I thought we would need for the mission. It took longer than I had anticipated to put it together and get it all packed."
The Jedi felt himself almost nod off, but not enough to where Kamon could easily notice, he cleared his throat nervously, wondering if he'd truly be able to stay awake for the mission. He hadn't done much of the meditation routines the night before. He found only slight difficulty in concentrating.
"Will we uh... be meeting up with anyone once we arrive on Adumar? For diplomatic relations?"
The Jedi let his mind go into a relaxed state as he awaited Kamon's response.
