Dak frowned at the sight of treachery like this. The Genoharadan thought they were doing there treachery against the Smuggler Alliance in secret, apparently not.

"Dak, do you actually think we can take an asteroid's worth of Genoharadan down?" Jimmy looked over at Dak inquiringly, Dak was smart for his age, ever since his parents had died Dak had taken him in as his own adpotive son and smuggler.

"Well... err... maybe... yeah, I guess. We have done some pretty amazing things together, right? If we truly did take down that hangar on Corellia full of Bada Hutt's goons, then we can truly take out a few Genoharadan." Dak turned from the cockpit controls to Jimmy smiling encouragingly. "Yup, we have done it all."

"This is different than on Corellia, we can't just shoot down the girders holding the asteroid up! We have to go in there, spy on them and then eventually lay waste of 'em! We can't do that in a ship!" Jimmy frowned, he looked from the smile on Dak's face.

Another hissy fit! Dak thought in his mind, he secretly rolled his eyes, but the smile had faded and a face of content was now there. "Calm."

"Why? Why should I calm?! We are about to risk our lives!" Jimmy shouted his face slowly reddening, either from his blood pressure, embarassment of whining of something else.

"Risking our lives is our job. We are smugglers. And now we are doing a infiltration job for the Smuggler Alliance, something important! We can become important if we don't screw this up!" Dak smiled again, thinking of all the possibilities he would have after this. Maybe he could go on a vactio on a spa world, or enter a Pazaak tournament. The possibilities were endless!

Jimmy just smiled, it was fake, but he didn't want to argue any more.

"Go check on the guys in the back!" Dak ordered turning back to the controls in the cockpit, taking one more peek out of the corner of his eye towards Jimmy.

So the Genoharadan thought they'd mess with Smuggler Alliance interests, did they? They thought they could just go out and trample a few cargo vessels, steal over a hundred thousand credits worth of blasters, and all the Alliance would do was stand there and watch?

Ha. Hardly.

They had no idea what they'd unleashed. After only a few of the interceptions, Jesh had gone to his contact within the vast criminal syndacate of the Union, the Falleen Gorma (Jesh still refuses to use an honorary when addressing the lizard, because of his part in the the Asteroid 73c incident). Gorma had run his request for information through Black Sun's rebuilding intelligence network (still not quite up to it's level under Xizor), and in exchange for a "favor" (using a pair of Victory Star Destroyers to waste a mining complex near the Corellan Trade spine) he told Jesh everything he needed to know.

It was a rogue element of the Genoharadan who were doing it, and it was Jesh's self-imposed responsibility to wipe them out.

And that was what the Errant Venture was up to now, spending several days away from her normal duties guarding Smugglers Run to do the deed. Her huge hangar bay- modified to be even larger than standard to hold more Smuggling Vessels- was filled with Black Armored Smugger Alliance Assault troops who would storm the asteroid to recover the agents already inserted upon the asteroid, and then return so it could be wasted.

Brutally simple.

Or maybe not.

Dak, Jimmy, Vantourian Lef and Jecht looked out the ship cockpit, they had just recently boarded the asteroid hangar bay. The Genoharadan had thought that only one person had been aboard the miniscule shuttle, Vantourian Lef, except his name was Lef to the Genoharadan.

The others, Dak, Jimmy, and Jecht hid on the ship under a secret compartment under the control panel in the cockpit. Vantourian Lef had gotten the Genoharadan guards out of this shuttle and the others slowly filed out of the shuttle.

"Shhh." Dak whispered to Jecht and Jimmy behind him. "There are two guards left, one is patrolling the left side of the hangar and the other is guarding a door."

"And you are proposing what?" Jecht inquired sheepishly looking up at Dak.

"I am not sure. Maybe we could wait them out, but that might take a while. We could try to get out of here some way else, but..." Dak implied searching the hangar all over, looking for a possible exit. "I don't see any, but I am not sure about a agressive movement, they may alert an alarm, or they could have cameras like most hangars have."

"We can't just wait here though." Jimmy spoke for the first time in a while. "it may take a long time, by the the reinforcements will be here and we will leave the asteroid empty handed. Remember our mission? We need to try to find all we can and then have the alliance's forces capture the asteroid, or whatever they said they were doing..."

Dak didn't fully comprehend all of Jimmy's words, he was more into the door that was right in front of them the whole time. "Look. There is a door right in front of us, sort of to the right. Completely out of the guard's view if we time it correctly."

The three of them looked towards the door and to the guards and Jimmy looked at Dak and Jecht. "I will go first."

"Alright, be careful." Dak chimed in in a whisper.

"I will, I promise." Jimmy muttered shortly after making his way to the door. The door was a small door, and it was glass too. Strange for an asteroid hangar bay, but the Genoharadans were dumb enough to mess with us, I guess they would be dumb enough to waste money on glass doors juast in hangar bays.

Jimmy opened the door and turned back to us and made a thumbs up sign.

"Ready Jecht?"

"I am."
