Geosyncronis Orbit around Krinovkov, Neutral Planet under Serendivus protection
Fire rained down onto the helpless citizens of the Planet Krinokov, currently neutral and not taking sides in any conflicts. The citizens were dumbfounded at first when the sky started becoming darker from various ships entering orbit around the planet. However, as days went by, they started to become aware of what was really going on.
In the capital of the planet; Vice President Jucozan had been contemplating how to deal with this situation. Just a day ago the president had gone up by shuttle to talk to the commander of what appeared to be a Serendivus fleet, but several hour's after the shuttle left he received a flash message that was garbled and spoke of only a few words.
'They aren't who they appear to be...' was the only words in the message before the sound of a blaster being fired cut it off.
He let out a sigh; looking down at his daughter who was barely five years old. "Daddy, why are they doing this?" she asked her father with a worried tone.
"I don't know," he said to her. In the back of his mind, he didn't really know the reason. Krinokov was an isolated planet, off the trade lanes, and was no where near any important strategic location. The only thing the planet 'did' have an abundent supply of water. Roughly eighty five percent of the planet was entirely water, the remaining being land.
A muffled crack rang in the distance; grabbing Jucozan's attention. He watched as several of the planetary defense cannons they had opened fire with angry green and red laser blasts. Beyond the clouds he saw mini-explosions from the blasts hitting ships, but those unharmed turned their attention to the planetary defense batteries and opened up with a lethal barrage that reduced the cannons to molten slag.
Another message piped into the room; the man sounded out of breath and in pain.
"Defense Gun ten is out of commission, they are firing on twelve... it's gone.. god... what the hell ha----" the man said before the message was rudely cut off. In the distance, another explosion appeared just beyond the mountains.
Jucozan lowered his head and let out a depressive sigh. "There goes space defense headquarters," he said softly.
His daughter just stared up at him with worry in her eyes; her tiny hands gripping her fathers robe that he wore. "Daddy...." she said worriedly.
He smiled at her and placed a hand on her head. "How about you go find your mother, I'm sure she's just as worried," he instructed her. She nodded and took off out of the room.
With one last look up at the sky he made a phone call; seconds later the sky lite up as the planetary bombardment started on his capital - protected only by a multi-number of shield generators located around the city. Down in the city he watched as his citizens rushed to the emergency shelters, women and children only, the men were heading for the military bases to arm themselves except for those who couldn't fight - such as older men or those who had medical issues that pervented them from taking part.
He didn't needed someone to tell him that once the ground battle started; it would be a bloody and costly fight. "It'll result in our world being drenched in blood...." he said and turned away from the window. His hands in his pockets, he started to make his way out of the room.

He watched from his bridge as his opened fire on the planet. "Burn everything around the cities, then open up on the capital," he had instructed his crew and those ships that he had with him.
General Cresnex took a sip from his cup of coffee and watched the specticle. All around his ship were older model destroyers, cruisers, frigates and carriers - most of which had been mothballed by their respective organizations but the organization he had once been apart of had a lot of these ships in storage or were being used as 'picket boats' for trade lane duty.
"Bitch will regret removing me from position," he scowled and took another sip before throwing the cup onto the ground. The cup shattered upon impact, spewing shards in every direction and onto the face of a women who had her hands on the ground in a begging posture.
The general looked at her and spat on the ground. "Clean it up; then get your ass back to your room..." he ordered and she nodded. He walked away and toward the front of the bridge. Dull thumps reverberated throughout the hull as his ship opened up on the planet.
"Wish I had the more specialized ships my disposal but that fucking child had those ships under lock and key..." he said and tapped his lower chin. "How the hell did we get tricked into thinking she was stupid and niave," he pondered.
"Because, we fucked up royally while on the council - who would've thought that she would become a Jedi and that our agent would betray us..." said an older man behind her. "Hell, the only reason you and I are still alive is because we weren't on the base when the others were killed," the man added.
The General nodded and sighed. "Yea.... the girl had used her Trandoshan pet most likely, but we have no evidence except that which we can create - but hell even then it doesn't help!" he shouted and turned around. "Continue to burn this planet... and we'll draw her and her forces out... I have a nice surprise waiting for them," he grinned broadly.
He stole a glance over his shoulder and out the window; in the distance, green and red flares descended onto the planets surface. However, not far from his floatilla, a lone, blackened ship floated lazily in space.
