Radon nodded. If he had anything further to say on the topic he would of course inform his RPGC counterpart. They would end up having a very mutual relationship anyways. The Knights would work very closely with the RPGC. Especially with basic training and a few other things. And Radon was always one to keep others informed of the goings on around them. Besides, information was the key to success in their linof work. Otherwise they'd all be doomed. There was a knock at the door.
"General? May I come in?"
"Certainly, Captain. What can I do for you?"
"Permission to speak freely?"
"Go ahead."
"I was wondering about the Knights. When will they be operational and how big will our groups be?"
"Well, the operational part is up for grabs. We won't know for a while when they'll be fully capable to take on missions and the like. It could be days, weeks, or even months. It all depends. As for the size of groups that's relatively simple. Every group will be fifty strong."
"And how many groups per planet?"
"Three to four. Nothing more, nothing less. If we cut it down to anything smaller we'd be walking a fine line with group strength. You never know how large an enemy terrorist group may be."
"True I guess. Just one more question. Where will I be based?"
"Here on Tholatin. We always base the best on the capital. Want to keep the Republic's capital in safe hands don't we?"
"Yes, sir. That's all I have to ask."
"Alright. You're dismissed."
"Thank you, sir."

Radon rocked back and forth in his seat as he waited on the people doing the interviews to finish. Once they were done, Radon would know the people that wanted to join and they’d get them to Tholatin as soon as possible for training. It was extremely important that they not delay time wise. You never knew when a terrorist threat would come forth. Especially with the terrorist attacks they had had recently. It was obvious the enemy was resorting to drastic measures. Now was not the time to sit around and wait. Action needed to be made.
“Sir?”
Radon looked up at the man in front of him. He had entered without a sound and Radon had had no idea he was even there. Motioning for the man to take a seat, Radon sat forward in his chair and looked at him.
“Yes?”
“We’re finished with the interviews and have the numbers specified. All of the participants were willing to join.”
“How fast can we get them here?”
“How fast do you want them here?”
“As soon as possible.”
“Alright. Earliest is two days. May have a few stragglers.”
“That’s fine. Set the date for two days from now. It’s time to get the ball rolling.”

Two days after the interviews were finished, the selected individuals either arrived on Tholatin from the outlier planets of the Republic, or came from their homes on Tholatin. They were transported to a newly constructed base on a plain a long distance from any civilization and were formed into ranks in front of tower with a podium on it. Radon stood on the tower at the podium.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I am General Radon Mont, Commander in Chief of the Demonite Knights which you are so proudly members of. This division of the RPGC was formed for the most extreme of missions. Capturing hostile ships and taking out terrorist cells are included in these. In the next few weeks you will undergo extensive retraining.
"You will become the best fighting force in the galaxy through hard work and sacrafice. Remember, you volunteered for this position. You should want to be here and should act accordingly. Your training will begin tomorrow with physical training. In order to be a Knight you must be physically fit. We will not allow people to get away with themselves.
"You will report once a week to the physicians office for check-ups in order to keep your weight and physical fitness steady. Following your physical fitness training you will go into advanced weapons training. You already have the standard weapons training from being in the RPGC. What we will give you will make it so every weapon in the galaxy is at your disposal.
"Once you have finished weapons training to the satisfaction of myself and my staff you will begin the final phase of preperation. You will begin Scenario training. This will be the longest and most enduring of the phases but think about it this way: When you finish, you become the elite of the elite. You have two hours before curfew and the lounge and cantina are open. Dismissed."
As the soldiers walked away, Radon turned and walked down the stairs to the ground below. One of his aids stepped forward and looked at him with his head cocked to the side. The aid in question always was very curious. Now would not happen to be a break from that.
"Was the long speech really necessary?"
"Yes, Commander it was. Go supervise them from the security office."
"Yes, sir."
"And do a good job!"

Day one of orientation went through rather easily. There were very minimal occurences of fighting or any other act requiring discipline. The aid Radon had assigned to the task of watching them had done a good job and made Radon proud. Of course, Radon had other things on his mind. He had to contact Kenshin again.
"Sherry, get me General Katarn on comm please."
"Yes, sir."
Radon sat waiting for a few minutes, watching outside as the men went about ther extensive training for the day. It was all stuff he had done ages ago before switching to the navy. Nothing really new to him so he chose not to take part in it. His comm beeped and Radon pressed the button.
"Hell, General. This is General Mont. I was wondering if you have time to talk."

"Greetings to you too, General Mont." The voice of General Katarn traveled over the connection. "And sure. What do you want to talk about...?"
Kenshin stood a few paces away from where, moments before his comlink beeped, he had been recieving a small lesson on drilling from the seargent who was now running the battalion before him through their routines.
For a military officer, Kenshin knew very little about what it was like to go through training. However he was a fast learner and he was soon aware that it was just as much as a mental preparation as it was a physical preparation.
How he managed to lead such an elite group was beyond him. Perhaps it was because he showed every officer the same respect and willingness to learn from them.

"Alright."
Radon turned to face his desk so that if he needed any papers he could use them. Outside he could still hear the shots of blasters going off on the firing range. Those were officers for the most part. All of the regulars were in conditioning for the coming two weeks.
"We need some sort of fast method for communication. If something should come up, a terrorist attack on the planet or something like that, we need a way to get to each other quickly as well as get the Knights out.
"Most of the Knights will be spending their time in their respective RPGC units but a few will be based here. The problem before us is one that we need solved. How are we going to get the ones with you to where they are needed quickly?"
