"I'm not old, Derren. I'm only as old as the Prince. I just chose not to continue my life in the Navy. It wasn't my idea of fun. I preferred spending my time mostly on the ground if you know what I mean."
"Of course I know what you mean. But do you have to get back into the military? You were doing so good as a Senator for Tholatin."
"Yes, well, I knew my days as a senator were numbered. besides it's a rather boring life. Why not create a deadly group of RPGC and lead them myself? They'll be the best in the galaxy."
"Hey, I don't mind as long as you don't get yourself killed."
"Oh I won't, Lieutenant. I have no intention of doing that. And you'll be doing more fo the fighting than I will. I'll mostly be behind a desk."
"True. well I guess I should go over the list of personnel for the RPGC. Need to pick out the best for our new division."
"Good idea."
Derren stood form his seat and saluted the senior officer before him before leaving the room. Radon looked down at the stack of papers in front of him that he would need to fill out in order to create this new division he was going to call the Demonite Knights. When they were actually deployed they would be the most feared fighting group in the galaxy. A group so deadly and dangerous no one would want to fight them.
"Ilene, call general Katarn for me will you? I need to speak with him."
"Yes, sir."

"You called sir...?"
The young man that now stood before Radon didn't look, or act, much like a General of Tholatin's Royal Phalanx Guard at all. His dark hair wasn't cropped short like most soldiers and he wore no uniform, only the simple earthen toned robes of the Jedi.
Instead of offering a salute in greeting, he gave a slight bow and instead of standing stiffly at attention before the commanding officer, his posture was relaxed. However as much as he did not look the part of the leader of the RPGC, it was obvious he was not to be underestimated.

"Kenshin you know better than to call me sir. I have the same rank as you do now and I'm not that old."
He looked down at the papers he was finishing work on. He'd had them almost complete by the time Kenshin had walked into the room and all he needed to do was sign them to make them official. After doing so, he looked up at the man in front fo him. THe man he would be working very closely with for quite some time.
"I'm not sure if you were informed or not about what I'm about to tell you, but that's alright. You'd find out soon enough."
He stood and walked over to a cabinet and pulled out a holo projector and the disk to go in it. Setting it on the table in front of Kenshin, he slid the disk in and turned the device on to display a symbol floating in mid air. It was a horned serpent twined around a sword with the TTR symbol on the hilt. Radon looked at Kenshin.
"The symbol you see before you is for the new division of the RPGC which is under construction. They're called the Demonite Knights and when finished will be one of the best fighting forces in the galaxy. I personally will be leading them. What they are are the best RPGC in your army that are being brought together to receive special training and to become vicious in all aspects of the word. They will see very minimal use because of this, but will be effective when used. If any of your people don't show up to work in the next few days then they are with me."

Kenshin nodded in understanding as Radon explained what was going to happen. And though he had complete trust in the man before him, he could not help feel uncomfortable at the thought of what these Demonic Knights would be like.
The information given to him stated that they would be a group of elite fighters who would get the job done efficiently and fast. However these troops were trained not to take prisoners but to kill. The RPGC instilled on every one of their soldiers a sense of honor and respect for their prisoners. These could be stripped from them if they were to be turned into killers.
"Alright..." He said somewhat quietly. "But if anyone of my boys come telling me that their humane side is being destroyed and not only surpressed, I'll be all for ending this program.
I'm all for an elite squad, but I don't know if a secret police for a Republic is a good thing..."

"The idea is to create a force for extreme situtautions. You know, times when it's necessary to kill everyone. Say we have a situaution with lower level people that are operating a terrorist cell in a storage building."
He sat down in his seat and propped his feet up on the desk to look at Kenshin over them. Nodding for Kenshin to take a seat, he gripped his glass of carafe and looked over at him before speaking again.
"And they're heavily armed and it's dangerous to send the regular RPGC in. We send in the Knights to take them down. No prisoners to be taken, just killing to be done. That's what they specialize in."
He sat forward in his seat and looked across at Kenshin. This was a touchy subject in all militaries but the good ones had a division for just this purpose. He smirked before taking a sip of his drink and then setting the glass on his desk.
"Besides, you don't have the authority to pull the plug. The only one that does is Prince Vondiranach or THE General. You know, Hector. He's the only four star around anyway. We're only Lieutenant Generals after all."

"Meh..." He said with a slightly weak chuckle. He didn't feel like much of a General at all. "Alright then. I don't like it but I suppose a thing like this can be needed..."
Kenshin gave a slight frown as he rubbed the back of his neck in thought. It was a good thing to be prepared for any situation and an elite wipe out squad might do the trick. Perhaps it was one of those situations where you had to think realistically and not idealistically.
"I'm assuming you will form this group by selecting the ones with the best statistics...But what if they don't want to be part of this group?"
Would this be a military order or would they be able to decide whether they wanted in or not? He doubted that the guys knew that they could be drafted for a thing such as this when they signed up for the RPGC.

Radon smiled.
"It's completely voluntary my friend. The people with the best statistics will be asked if they want to be a part of an elite squad to be used in the most extreme situations. Some will say no and some will say yes."
He took another sip of his drink and looked around the room. It seemed rather bland to him. But then underground bases weren't exactly the best furnished of buildings. In fact they seemed worse then some of the private homes he'd been too. And some of them weren't exactly the greatest.
If he had time he'd buy himself some furniture. Of course military personnel would have to move it. Non-military personnel were not allowed in the base. Of course no one outside of the military even knew there was a base there. Security reasons of course.
"That way we won't have any problems with insubordination. It helps us out and benifits you. Some of the ones that say no will stay with the RPGC and keep up your advanced persona while we get a lot of advanced people that we'll make more advanced. Seems a fair deal, doesn't it?"

Kenshin nodded. "Okay, that sounds alright with me. Anything else going on I should know about?"
Information usually got to him slowly unless it was directly sent to him. It was probably a bad habit that grew out of his dislike for gossip but a lot of it can be based on truth. So perhaps he should get himself into gear and keep a better look out at the galaxy around him. Which was probably like watch the news more or something.

Radon shook his head.
"No. But if anything comes up you'll know. I like to keep people informed about what's going on."
He looked down at his datapad to see that the inspection of statistics had been completed and a large list of the top RPGC members now sat on his desk. He sent it over to Kenshin's datapad really quickly then set the device back down on his desk. Looking up at Kenshin, he cocked his head to the side.
"I just sent you the list of people we will be contacting. The ones that accept the position will be marked in red by tomorrow evening. The one's that don't accept will stay with you."
His datapad beeped and he looked down to see that the process of interviewing had already begun. That was good and meant that progress towards a lethal anti-terror squad was being made. He sent a quick message acknowledging the fact and thanking the ensign in charge of the process before looking back at Kenshin.
"You have any further questions?"

"Nope..." He said shaking his head slightly. "That would be all for now. If I have any more later on, I'll bug you then. Hehe."
With a slight smile, the Jedi Knight turned and took his leave of the room for his other duties.
