Kahn looked up at Amalia, smiling.

"He certainly is, Master. Where did you find him?"

While waiting for Amalia to answer, he spoke through the Force of Zeus again.

You can live with me, in my home on Naboo, if you wish.

A look of sadness crossed Amalia's face as she began to speak again.

"He was injured when I found him. He had been badly beaten. it took quite a few days to heal him. I found him somewhere near by here. I still don't know who would do such a thing to such a wonderful creature. He appeared not to have anywhere to go. I took care of him. He needed a place to go, somewhere to belong. I know you'd be the perferct companion for him."

She smiled and looked down at the wolf.

Ah, I have been there many a number of times. Full of forested lands and gungans too! Though I don't particularly like Gungans. however, I shall manage.

Kahn bowed slightly to the wolf as he would to an equal. His expression was unreadable after hearing Amalia speak of the animal's past, his tone unchanged when he spoke, both through the Force to Zeus and with words to his Master.

We have a transport to take you to my home. If you have no objections, we can leave now.

"I thank you, Master. It's been awhile since I've had a friend like him..."

He let the sentence trail off, thinking of both Ares and another friend who had decided to make Kahn an enemy. However, he did not let his thoughts of the past keep him from being happy with the good fortune that had been given to him.

Amalia caught Kahn's unfinished thought.

He's still you're friend you know, he remembers, and that's something he'll never let go, no matter how much the darkside consumes him. His pride doesn't allow him to let you know the truth. I know it is there though, because I know him, just as I know you.

She smiled slightly and then looked at Zeus, observing him.

Zeus moved his head up and down slightly, in recognition of the bow.

I will miss it here, this had been my home for so long. I don't know of anything else. There is nothing left for me here anymore. I will gladly go and build new memories now, I Thank You.

Kahn wasn't so sure that Malice still held any fleeting emotions of friendship, but he wasn't going to argue with Amalia. If she said the Sith still had emotions other than hate and anger, then it was true.

"If you say so, Master."

He nodded to Zeus, this time openly projecting the Force message to Amalia as well as the wolf.

Let's head back to the ship then.

Amalia caught Kahn's doubt, but it didn't disturb her as in normally would. She didn't think that Malice ever showed that side of himself to Kahn, and she didn't know if Kahn was likely to feel it.

The wolf slowly got on all fours, his eyes never falling astray from Kahn.

Kahn, if you wouldn't mind...I must change. There are...many looking for my presence and I do not wish to be found.

Zeus' eyes flash from blue and then to gold, but in that time the wolf had changed. He had changed his presence into that of a beautiful butterfly.

Amalia was startled by the wolf's sudden change in appearance.

"Oh my, well, I didn't know he was able to do such a thing. He seems to be full of surprises."

She smiled and gestured toward the exit of the building.

"Shall we depart now?"

The Knight was surprised as well, and was at a loss for how to explain how a wolf could transform into a butterfly -even a Force sensative wolf. However, seeing as Zeus didn't seem to think it strange, and if it would keep him safe, then it was fine with the Jedi. Kahn nodded, and together they started out of the building, the 2 Jedi walking, with a butterfly fluttering next to them. Via the Force, so as not to draw unwanted attention, Kahn sought to satisfy his curiosity about the shape-shift.

How did you change your form? And who's after you?

It is a form of magic and has nothing to do with my force abilities for the most part. The magic, it is anchient and I can't reveal it's name, it was taught to me in my younger years. I have wielded it for many years. I can do many things with my magic, the unthinkable. Whichever form I posses, it changes me, but there is one thing about me that remains always the same...my eyes.

Zeus said no more as he quietly fluttered about behind the two Jedi.

The Knight was silent as they neared the shuttle. He did not reveal his thoughts, instead keeping his face blank, as he found himself doing more often. Then, he responded after a time to Zeus.

Some things we cannot change about ourselves, physical or otherwise, whether we wish to or not.
