The Origins of Sedriss Sadow: Heir to the Ancients

The galactic registry indicated that Sedriss was born on the planet of Balmorra, a technical world that was well reknowned for making weapons and droid ships. Since his early childhood, Sedriss had been plagued by dark visions, the ability to predict future events and the stirring sense that he was much more than what people assumed.

At the age of eleven, Sedriss befriended a young refugee named Malice Gthull, a young Byssian, whose family had fled the destructive war unleashed by the reborn Emperor. The two boys spent countless nights telling tales of the evil that rumored to exist in the palace, as well as the stories of hideous creations that lurked in the underground cloning lairs.

Like Sedriss, Malice was force sensitive, yet compared to his friend he was very small, wiry, but powerful in the mind. The two practiced their rudimentary force skills whenever they could, hiding in the seedy sections of Balmorra, so as not to draw attention from the prying eyes of the authorities.

At the age of thirteen, Sedriss and Gthull befriended a young boy named Son Pandit, a recently accepted padawan into the Jedi academy. The three were quick to become, learning basic force skills that Son had learned from his soon to be master. There friendship seemed unbreakable until a dreary and fateful morning.

Rebel forces stormed the capital city of Balmorra, desperate to attain the arms shipments which were due to leave for coruscant. Imperial walkers and shadow droids swarmed the capital, trying desperately to repel the invaders. Son Pandit, ever the hero, took refuge in Sedriss's home, using the good nature of his parents.

Using telekinesis to hurl objects at the marauding commandos, he drew attention to Sedriss's family home. A troup of grenadiers destroyed the home, killing all except Son Pandit, who escaped in shame, unable to break the news to his friend Sedriss.

Rage settled permanently into the heart of Sedriss, forging in him an eternal darkness. His friend Malice repeated the story of Son Pandit's treachery and cowardess, prompting the two to vow vengeance on him and the jedi. The two young boys spent the following two years training their minds and bodies, tempering their efforts with vengeance and hatred, yet they progressed little, lacking the true guidance of a teacher.

In the darkness of the cool Balmorran night, a hooded man approached them, revealing himself as Brakiss, explaining taht he was a sith lord looking for strong apprentices. Beckoning the two with dreams of power and conquest, the boys willingly joined the shadow academy. However, Master Brakiss never picked up that Sedriss had other agendas.

At the Shadow academy, Sedriss and Malice worked in tandem, exploring the very depths of the darkside, pushing each other to their limits. Day by day their powers increased, pleasing their instructors and striking fear into their fellow trainees; all except one, a young malocontent named Zekk.

A friendly rivalry grew between Zekk and Malice, while Sedriss used his cold heart to plan the day of conquest that was soon to come. Master Brakiss chose Zekk as the Darkest Knight of the Shadow academy, angering Gthull. There were no hard feelings opn Sedriss's part, because quite simply Zekk was the most powerful at this stage of their training but that would not last forever.

The following year, the Shadow academy attacked the Jedi students on Yavin, pitting dark against light, in a momentous battle. Tragically, Master Brakiss was killed in the battle and the one person who could potentially rally victory, Zekk, turned towards the Jedi, abandoning his loyalties and his friends.

Sedriss and Malice hid in the Yavin forests until the coast was clear for their escape, living off stintarils and beetles, doing anything to survive. Three long weeks later, in the cover of absolute darkness, the two friends bid each other a sad and sobering farewell. Their dreams had been dashed but not given up. They made a promise that they would find new masters who could complete their training, offering them the power to destroy Zekk and Son Pandit.

Five years later, Sedriss learned of the Dark Sith Order, where a grand sith council presided, orchestrating training and directing the current war against the Jedi knights. This was the opportunity they had hoped for. The young man was apprenticed to Master DarkestSith6, who began his tutelage in the dark arts. Yet the master was weak and old, unable to give Sedriss what he wanted, abandoning him in a duel with Malice Draclau.

DS6 sickened Sedriss, leaving a foul stench in his mouth, causing him to rethink who he was. He began to research his family history, prodded by a nagging feeling in his mind. The registry showed a long lost relative, some 5000 years ago, by the name of Nashira Sadow. He was puzzled at the name, realizing it belonged to a long dead ancient lord.

He consulted the holocron and found that Nashira was the sister to the Dark Lord of the Sith. Her fate was not known but it was believed she fled the jedi onslaught and raised her family in secret, away from the prying eys of the jedi. Shock flooded his senses, at the realization of what had been revealed.

So, I am the rightful heir to Naga Sadow. he thought, struggling with the idea and yet connected to the dead lord in a perverse way.
