“Yet have I expected a work like this from such a.....”

“Falleen?”

“What I meant was, if this mission is a success, you will be anointed into the heart of the Black Dragon Empire. No longer will you have to live with your wrongdoings as a terrorist.”, the admiral uttered.

The two sat in a semi-large conference room aboard one of Gien’s fleet MC-90's. They seated behind a large, metallic table mounted with data pads and maps. Sipping from a glass of the galaxy’s finest wine, commander Schi waited patiently as the admiral finished looking over the last few details.

“This is quite the fleet we have loaned you for this. Don’t prove us wrong and claim us what is rightfully ours.”

Gien stood up from out of his chair and approached the mass of data pads. With a few glances, he knew what had to be done.

“Sir, negotiations would not work. This is the only way to handle the situation. If Farfalen wants this planet under its rule, I will obey orders and do their bidding.”, he paused for a moment to press a small green button on the wall, “Admiral, if there is one thing I can not stand, its incompetence. As long as my troops are truly as stealthy, lethal, and swift as I hear they are, there is nothing to worry about.”

“There is no issues revolving around the soldiers. You are granted your fleet officially now, but I must ask one thing: Are these maps accurate in relation to these base complexes?”

“Yes....they are....What you see before you is a map of the main military complex. Several outposts, various bunkers, two communication stations, and two main military bases located next to each other makes up our target.”, shuffling through the maps, he searched continued to explain his tactics orally to the admiral, “And if you look here, you notice there is a city closely nearby. A few miles away, but it holds some of the planets most influential beings. Personally, I suspect there may be a exceedingly large amount of fugitives and scum there. We get our hands on them, possibly unharmed, and we turn them in for quite a bounty.”

Gien pulled away from the table as a fleet officer entered the room. He wore a standard BDE armor but weald no visible weapon. Carrying in his hand was yet another datapad. Approaching the commander, he extended his arm and stated, “Commander, the last of the pickets have arrived and three Thoalition class star destroyers came as an assist from the Tion Cluster. Should I give the go ahead?”

Turning back to the officer, Gien stroked the hilt of his vibroblade on his belt. The admiral too stood up and looked at the officer.

“Now Ill show the galaxy who the Count of the black dragon empire truely is.....There is no need for that. There is much to be looked over. I want you to go and alert the Cpt. Renzo to begin the loading of the drop ships. Now go and be quick.”, the commander commanded with a stern look in his eyes.

Once the officer made way to find the captain, the two doors automatically shut behind him and once again, the admiral and commander were left to discuss plans for Liinade III.. Gien was abrupt to grab a nearby pen and sketched down a few symbols that resembled the two major bases, the outposts, the city, and where the dropships are to be set down. Adding into this picture, he also added in a narrow river which stretched down the back ends of the bases and shaded in areas where dense coverage from the forest were located.

He added, “There is word of small naval defenses set up along this river, thought there is limited defenses set up in the dense forest. We will have the dropships deployed in areas marked with a star.”

“This sounds about right. Now, if you excuse me commander, I have to report to my accommodation for a assembly that calls for my presence. Good luck, Commander Schi.”

Gien bowed his head and watched the admiral disembark for his lambda shuttle. After the mission’s tactics had been approved by the admiral, he had them clarified with the leaders of each individual leader in charge of a squadron, legion, or group of armed forces.

Meanwhile, back in the bridge, Commander Schi gave the order to make way for the planet of Liinade III. It wouldn’t be long before arrival, and all teams were ready. More than 50,000 infantry lined up along the insides of the massive dropships. There was one way to make sure all was ready for the attack. Gien had to see them for himself.

He stepped into the cargo bay hanger and let out a brief jest. Soldiers dressed in black clad armor lined the hanger floor. Among the crafts about 60,000 infantry troops were on hand and ready to be deployed onto the battlefield. They were trained killers, and would die for the Empire. Gien approached a line of soldiers and fronted the sergeant. The sergeant welded a TC-7 ,but a vibroblade could easily be seen by his side.

“The men are ready. Death commandos and the infantry are all ready to represent the BDE under your command.”, the sergeant declared.

“We’ll see all in good time. And by the way sergeant, have my personal death commandos await for my arrival on the surface. In the meantime, have them secure a perimeter with 2,000 infantry.”, spoke the BDE commander, “And if you spot any fighter unable to fulfill his duties without reasonable effort or wont fight on Liinade, kill him, or I will deal with that person and you personally.”

With that said, the stern faced commander turned his back to the line and continued down the bay. He passed multiple dropships, some even loading scorpion assault droids. At last, before his eyes were pilots all readying their ships for last minute prepping. The fighters ranged from large Tie Advanced fighters, to X wings, to A wings. Being a faction associated with skilled pilots from all over the galaxy, Gien had a great deal of confidence in them, as being a former star pilot. Black paint distinguished the crafts from enemy crafts so it would be easier to recognize an ally from an enemy. With multiple officers wishing to speak to the commander behind him, he just approached a Tie Advanced and touched its wing. It brought back memories of fighting in his own craft, just not for the Black Dragon Empire.

“Sir, the pickets and kessels assault ships have arrived to further our expansion with this fleet!”, a officer boasted out.

Slowly, the commander turned back towards the officer and locked his eyes with the officer’s.

“I have told you already...I have told all of you....do not bother me until I am done with my inspection..now go before I have you fed to Grand Mauls....”

The officer quivered and made haste getting back to the bridge. Gien noticed a Tie Advanced pilot boarding into his ship and approached him. Just about to place on his helmet, the pilot stepped back off the boarding ladder at the site of the commander. He saluted Gien and Gien saluted back.

“Must feel great to pilot one of these...how far would you go for the empire?”

“Commander, I would give my life for it....Its funny though how I never seen you as a fleet officer before.....are you new?”

It was a immediate surprise to Gien’s ears to here a petty pilot ask so many questions, and to someone of his rank. Either way, he wasn’t going to let a opportunity to learn a few things from a BDE pilot slip away.

“I am...to this empire. Tell me what you know about this mission.”

The pilot set his helmet down by his side and cracked his knuckles. Surely this once was a rouge at some time to Gien’s definition.

“All’s I know is that there’s a chance I could die out there. I even reckon we could all die out there. Im in it for the love of killing a few space dogs here and there and for the love of my empire. Heh, even you I bet wouldn’t mind being out there in the front line.”

“You don’t know the half of it. What’s your name, pilot?”

“The name’s Eric Reign.”

And with intriguement in his eyes, Gien suddenly noticed yellow lights flashing about the hanger.

“Well Eric, it seems we are about to launch for Liinade..good luck to you..”, Gien spoke as he preceded off from the hanger, “You’ll probably need it.”, he snickered under his breathe.

Back at the bridge, the fleet commander gave the final word for the jump to hyperspace. Over 40 ships had made the jump and two MC-90s. Like a ship drifting off to sea, this ship was armed and ready for the ultimate showdown on Liinade.

“I shall achieve what Krennel could never.”, he thought to himself. It was as if the entire universe had froze around him, for that moment made him feel like he was the best at what he did.

Leaving Hyperspace

The time had come.

“All troops please report to your designated areas at this time.” It was the phrase which would repeatedly come over the intercom all throughout the capitol ships. All ships at last departed from hyperspace and came out in the vicinity of Liinade III.. Two MC-90s, 1 Shoto class battle cruiser, 40 cutter class pocket ships, 25 Kessel class picket ships, 1 Mobilizer 450, 3 Warlord class dropships (not counting dropships inside MC-90's and Shoto class battle cruiser), three Thoalition star destroyers, one defender class star destroyer. and multiple squadrons of starfighters consisted of Gien’s perfect fleet for this mission.

The officers standing around all gazed out at the planet soon to become a fierce battleground. Commander Schi stayed abroad the MC-90 Poseidon checking off everything that had to be accomplished afore bombardment.

“Commander, it wont be long before we are detected.”, said one officer.

“Im aware of that. Lets keep the casualties to a minimum and not cause more damage than we already have to. What than would be good about a planet with no inhabitants and is blasted to pieces? Ok, first scatter the Cutter assault ships around the planet and form a barricade.”

“And of the other ships, commander?”

“....and of the Immobilizer 450, have it move into position with these military bases with these coordinates,” he handed the officer a list of coordinates, “and have it lay a planetary bombardment. And make sure to take time and target to launch those ion cannons. The Defender SD can travel to the dark side of the planet and deploy troops from there. Have them occupy as many possible cities as possible. The Thoalition Sds can do the same but shall group near our two MC-90s and use their turbolasers on the planet.”

“Ok, commander, coordinates sent.”

“Have the Shoto battlecruiser do the same but on the opposite side of the planet. Its got quite a mass of turbolasers to put to use so send commands to also lay siege. Finally, deploy our fighter squadrons and have them protect the MC-90s. Our Kessel picket ships should be able to make it through the atmosphere, so we will send...say about 15 Kessel ships down and 30,000 soldiers to the ground in the dropships. Have the dropships land in the region located outside the main military facility. There will be many outposts so the Kessels should aid with air coverage while the soldiers make way into the bases and secure a stronghold.”

“Word was General Grevious made his fleet of assualt shuttles make it through the atmosphere of a planet, and to top it off, this atmosphere should allow the Kessels to pass without much trouble.”, another officer spoke of.

While the officers finished putting in the last few commands for the fleet and its objectives, one last thought came to mind.

“...the MC-90s sir?”

“Have the three, including ours form a strike formation and launch a bombardment from this location. Until all dropships and fighters are deployed, we will not move to new locations around the planet. We wont force a invasion on this planet but instead force a surrender. If they don’t, so be it.”

“Confirmed, commander. Sending transmissions now.....”

Watching from the bridge, the flurries of Cutter pocket ships began to launch into separate directions around the planet. More than 40 separate war machines now were ready, each equipped with multiple turbo lasers. Overkill for Liinade III.

“Awaiting order to fire”

With a final lasting sigh of relief, Gien gave the order that would effect Farfalen for decades to come.

“Commence.....”

Large, booming red blasts of energy shot from the ships weaponry. The sounds echoed through the corridors of the cruisers and into Gien’s ears.

“Whenever they are ready, have the Cutters begin their bombardment.”

Over a series of minutes, the starfighters had departed from the hangers and started their run around the cruisers. Dropships had too launched from the cruisers and assualt ships, while kessels began to deploy themselves into the atmosphere. Thrusters were released slowly so entering wouldn’t burn up the hull in a matter of seconds for the kessels.

Within those few minutes of starting, a voice came over the intercom.

“Commander Schi, I am extremely surprised in the number of crafts that have shown up. But you know what they say: Quality over Quantity. My name is Taron Reagon, a bounty hunter from the outter core planets. Your invading my turf. More than half my money comes from the scum of this planet. “Leave and let live”, mainly my bounties Im in search of. Course, if you pay me enough you- ”

The hunter was cut off by none other than a furious commander.

“Now you listen. You cant just show up and demand such things...wait, that’ right, you wont even show yourself. You wont get a dime out of us. End transmission.”

A series of beeps were than picked up on radar and was reported.

“Commander, unknown fighter heading into the atmosphere of Liinade III. It appears to be a Headhunter model of some sort. Shall we send fighters to persue?”

“No, I want this one found and alive. He will make for a worthy trophy. Make sure the dropships have their coordinates right and when I land, I will lead a task force to occupy the capitol city. Let us continue our bombardment and see if these humans are as smart as to surrender to the Black Dragon Empire.”

End Phase One

It had been approximately an hour since the assault began on Liinade III. Led by Gien Schi, the fleet owned by the Black Dragon Empire would be put to its test in the most incomparable of ways. Kessel ships swarmed the sky with a barrage of constant air-to-ground attacks, with specific ships taking out enemy starfighter squadrons. Dropships had already landed and formed a perimeter around the crafts. If the attacks weren’t coming from the kessels or the infantry, they were coming from space. The planetary bombardment still continued, filling Liinade’s atmosphere with black clouds of dust and debree. Entire cities were already occupied by the death commandoes and striped of its resistance forces.

Space surrounding Liinade III

“Hey Eric, save some for me. Let there be enough to go around.”

“Yeah, right. Lets make it interesting and keep a count. Whoever can get rid of more starfighters and cruisers by the time this is over, wins half of the others paycheck for this battle....starting now.”

“Your on. Oh, and capitol ships don’t count.”

In the space surrounding Liinade III, the Black Dragon Empire starpilots were having a pretty easy time ridding themselves of enemy starfighters. There had been so many Cutters scattered all around Liinade, that starfighters stood even less of a chance with cruisers as large as MC-90s and Defender Star Destroyers. Eric Reign and his good friend, Zach Bruin served as pilots to the empire: Eric piloted a Tie Advance while Zach had his X Wing.

Eric whipped around the side of their own Shoto class battle cruiser to behold a Bulk Cruiser being drawn out of hyperspace. Surrounding the two pilots were only about 20 other pilots from BDE, and a heep load of cruisers and capitol ships. From the cruiser launched two squadrons of older model B Wings.

“Looks like this cruiser was on a route with Liinade III and got caught up at the wrong time, Zach.”

“I doubt it was meant for combat. Seems like it’s a carrier rather than a attack cruiser.”

“You know I hear there used to be a top secret research facility on this planet.”

“Wouldn’t doubt it. This planet doesn’t exactly catch tourist eyes so anything’s possible with it.”

“Ok, less talking more, more fighting.”

The X wing pilot, Zach, went into a dizzy roll past one squadron and took out two ships already on one run. Green lasers shot past Zach’s view of sight and knew he was being persued. He struggled to break free and took the fighters up and around the Defender Star Destroyer. In that pass, three were knocked off from his tail but three more still persued.

“I gotcha’.”, Eric echoed into his comlink.

Eric came up the opposite end of the star destroyer and blasted off one single fighter, which would than fall downward to knock the remaining two into the side of the star destroyer.

“Thats three for me. You can thank me later.”, Eric briefly laughed.
“Yeah, Yeah.”

“Lets go get the rest.”

The two came out from fleet coverage and spotted the remaining six of that squadron. Meanwhile their Bulk cruiser was under heavy fire by multiple cruisers and a Thoalition star destroyer, taking direct shots from ion cannons and proton torpedo octets. Back with the Zach and Eric, Eric took a hit to his Novaldex shields, but had little damage results on his hull. Eventually, during the battle, each fighter caught, out of the corner of their eyes, the Bulk cruiser begin to break out with small explosions, than suddenly, tearing apart itself from the inside out. And so the two continued their job as pilots for BDE, protecting the capitol ships but also straying off every now and than to persue fighters.

The Surface of Liinade III

“Captain, the soldiers are pulling back to the bunkers.”

“Press forward, take four squads with you into the south bunker. Bring three Scorpion assault droids with you. Ill take a few squads and too press on.”

“Ay sir.”, the officer looked out toward the masses of troops, “Ok, you there. Come with me and bring those three droids.”

The situation was extremely hostile. It was about a half a mile to the main military facility and the best way there would be through the underground corridors, which happened to start with the bunkers. Above them soared Kessel assault ships laying siege while bolts of red and green laser shot across the forest floor. They exchanged fire, even after only about 1,000 of them pressed onward into the bunkers. Captain Ladeski led was one of the many leaders in charge of the infantry offensive maneuvers. Inside the bunker, Ladeski made a squadron of death commandos and small group of scorpion attack droids lead the way.

“Be ready for anything.”

Loud, ground-shaking booms rattled the ground around them. Not too much resistance posed a major threat throughout these tunnels, for the most part. The captain, being a veteran serving as some sort of military officer, knew what he was doing and was one of Schi’s most valuable assets to this mission. Armed to the teeth with the latest BDE weaponry and utilities, they continued onward.

Two minutes of traveling through the corridors led the squads to a fairly large room. Barrels and boxes all were scattered throughout the room with a large, reinforced titanium door located in the rear. About four squadrons of enemy soldiers protected the door like it was a prize treasure of the galaxy, too armed with heavy armor and decent weaponry.

“Down, now, down!”, the captain boasted strafing to the side for cover.

The droids continued on though, providing themselves as fodder. Meanwhile, after strafing off to cover, a nearby officer to Ladeski pointed to a bag full of proton grenades and flash grenades. Proton grenades would not be best to use right now, so the captain reached for two flash grenades. With one in each hand, he waited for ten seconds before throwing each one over his shoulder. The grenades both detonated about the same time and multiple enemy soldiers dropped to the ground, momentarily paralyzed. The commandos rushed past the remaining scorpion droids and secured the room.
“Stay on the ground! Drop your weapons! Don’t move or you will be shot!”, the officers shouted as the enemy was just barely recovering from the two grenades. With weapons on the ground, they were being escorted to out in pairs to the dropships by armed personnel. Once the room was cleared out, Ladeski called for the bag of grenades. He examined the door and called for a opinion of an officer.

“What do you think? Can we open it?”

“Well, unless we know the exact codes to break the lock, we will be here for a while.”

“These should do the trick. Have the men stick these proton grenades to the hinges and down the middle of the door.”

It took only a few, brief seconds to blow the doors open. And when the doors were blasted open, everyone was surprised at what they were looking at, even Captain Ladeski himself. Behind the doors was a long walkway, with flights of stairs on both sides. The room seemed to contain a laboratory of some sort, or even perhaps a military reconnaissance lab. Before moving on, Ladeski had two squads of men spread out and search the room for any data readouts or prototype plans of some sort.

“Contact the commander, he might want to take a look at this.”, spoke the captain in complete amazement, with a fairly large data pad in his left hand.

Communication Bridge Established By BDE

The bridge rested within a occupied military complex, just outside the dropship’s location. Computers and data were all reconfigured to fit BDE standards and meant as a mean to communicate the ground forces to the forces above Liinade III’s atmosphere. It just so happened things were getting heated while two rookie communication analysists were on duty.

“B-1 to all infantry and kessel ships. B-1 to all infantry and kessel ships. In a matter of minutes, warheads will be launched from Tie Advances above. Take the necessary precautions to ensure yourself safety in the following cities: Farrunner....”, and as the officer continued to alert the soldiers of the warheads, his partner on duty, Parker, was intercepting new information being sent down. Finally, when they finished with their tasks, they started to ponder how long it would take to actually take control of the planet.

“You ever hear of a Commander Schi before this mission, Redin?”

“Nope, not ever...makes you feel really confident about this..”, Redin spoke with the upmost sarcasm in his voice, flipping through the pages to a gun magazine.

“Well, you know we’ve been on the job for what now?..A few weeks. Im not so sure that I want to do this anymore. After watching all these pilots and soldiers out on the front line, it kinda makes me wish that I was out there with them.”

“Are you kidding me?! This jobs great. We’re not nearly running as high of a chance as getting killed as the rest of them are. Plus the pay is great, so stop complaining.”

“That’s one opinion...”

A voice came over the transmitter and began to speak:

“Commander Schi is sending 20 cutter class assault ships into the atmosphere. I repeat, Commander Schi is sending 20 cutter class assault ships into the atmosphere. As for an additional announcement, Commander Schi is also scheduled to dock the planet along with possibly 15,000 more infantry. Over.”

The two officers looked at each other and smirked. Parked pulled his chair up to the desk and sent out the information to the designated ships and officers.

“This should be interesting. Mr Schi himself is coming down.”

“Yeah, I personally would like to meet this guy.”
“We’ll all most likely - Woah, look at the size of those things!”, Redin shouted, pointing and gawing at the warheads dropping way in the distance, probably on a nearby city. They had been launched by Tie Advances just outside the atmosphere.

“Something else BDE engineers are becoming.”

“Something else is right.”

Out of the blue, a quick shots of some kind of lasers bounced through the ears of the two officers.

“This could be bad.”

The door was kicked in and a mid sized, well armored and armed figure rushed through. Blasters were attached to both sides of his waist and wrist blades of some kind attached to his left arm. His helmet reassembled that of an old Mandalorian helmet. In addition, two tentacles wrapped over his shoulders. Unarmed, the two BDE officers could only sit their and wait to die. The figure aimed his pistol at both the officers and slowly slipped off his helmet with the opposite hand.

“When is Schi coming down to Liinade III?”, he asked in a cold deep voice.

Redin shivered with fear but managed to work up enough courage to answer his assailant.

“He’s...coming down....within the next few hours.”

At last, the two were able to look the figure in the face. The figure was none other than a Twi’lek, a fierce one of that.

“Where?...”

“We don’t know where!”, Parker exclaimed enthusiastically.

“I think your lying to me.”

“We’re not. My partner and I only now received word of his coming.”

“Fine...you two are worthless to me. Just tell him Taron Reagon awaits him with open arms.”

With that said, the Twi’lek bounty hunter snapped his helmet back on and took off down the opposite flight of stairs.

“Is that action enough for you?”, Redin snickered towards Parker, looking like a deer caught in headlights.

Abroad MC-90 Poseidon (bridge)

“Sir, word from Captain Ledeski. He says there’s a list down on the planet containing lists of Bothan spies and their current locations throughout the galaxy. He also noted that they are continuing their raid on the main military facility and digging up anything that may be of use.”

The refined commander was gathering information together to make his next series of maneuvers before setting foot on Liinade III. He stood, arms folded over one another, determining the possibilities for such a discovery.

“Good, but we should focus more so on the battle at hand rather than discovering newly renowned items of importance. Unless it can determine the outcome of this takeover, I don’t want to hear it....”

“Another city occupied, commander. A city by the name of Iset.”, another officer informed.

“Ok, now our window is open. Tell those Tie Advances to begin their warhead bombardments with the coordinates that were sent to their internal database.”

“Aye sir.”

“Meanwhile, send down 10 of the 40 cutter class ships to the air space surrounding the capitol city. I will be docking in that vicinity along with 15,000 more infantry soldiers. I doubt we will need that many but just to be safe.”

“Will you be traveling down in a dropship?”

“Yes, if I travel any other way, my ship may be targeted in a split second by that scum of a bounty hunter. Don’t underestimate space scum like that.”

“Than I will send two gunships down for an escort?”

“Very well. Ill demonstrate my authority both from my ship and in the line of duty. Dress me in my armor now and give me a weapon to work with down there.”

“Aye sir.”

Commander Schi Data upload....loading....

Born into wealthy family of his home world, Falleen. Influenced drastically by his uncle, Prince Xisor, he thrived for wealth and power. He knew from as young as thirteen years old, he wanted to become a fleet commander, and work his way up, creating a reputation for himself. A few years later, his father was assassinated during a mission to liberate close friends from captives. Taking up a new interest, Gien would create his own crime syndicate. Lasting only a few years, he was beginning to loose funds slowly. Eventually, the nephew to Xisor would join the terrorist organization, known as The Union in hope of raising a reputation, and to become feared by the people of Falleen. Like his former crime syndicate, his time in Black Sun (The Union) came to an end, realizing he wanted more for himself, thus leading to the joining of the Black Dragon Empire.

End transmission...

The Next Day in Gien’s quarters in Capitol City of Lakdon

The seize of Lakdon had taking now, almost nearly a day. The last few pockets of the city were being combed for any resistance and Commander Schi was almost entirely confident with this take over. The planet bombardment was called off to specific locations around the planet, and damage was limited. Even now, the air made it hard for anyone to breathe , blocking out most of the suns’ light. During this current time, Gien felt great fatigue without much rest the last few days, both mentally and physically. Most of his time awake, he would map out his next move or lead his legions in the line of duty.

Still dressed in his military uniform, the commander rested in his quarters, awaiting news from his captains. It wasn’t long before Captain Rondarius stepped through, followed by four BDE officers.

“What’s this?”,Gien asked pointing at the items the officers carried in.

“This, commander, is our victory. We discovered the military resistance is forming a final revolt, in the north end portion of the city.”

“And have we set up battalions there?”

“Aye, sir.”

“...Come, we shall too join this fray, general.”

“If your absolutely positive, we’ll be on our way.”, exiting the quarters followed by Gien, “You there, have a squadron of commandos report to the capitol building in the north end of the city.”

The captain seemed very much like a young Gien. Always quick to take orders without taking it into personal considerations, and very loyal to his superiors.

The main streets were clear for some time now, making it a semi safe environment for travel. As the two walked by, they noticed that more than a quarter of the buildings they passed, were in ruins, some no taller than two stories. Who would’ve guessed that in the distance of Gien and Rondarius heard the blasting of weapons in the distance.

“Lets move it boys, move, move, move!”, shouted the captain.

They picked up the pace and broke into a sprint for the front. The sound wasn’t of a few blasters, but of the sounds of tens and twenties of them; probably more.

“What the-“, boasted an officer glaring into the dim lit sky. An enemy A Wing was spiraling in a roll, smoking from its engines, more so than usual. What startled the officer was the ship came spiraling down towards them. Surely the pilot had lost control of the ship, possibly shot down by one of the BDE cutters or kessels.

“Watch yourselves!”

The squads all had evaded the ship, narrowly, but looked back to notice Gien’s quarters was a newly pile of smoking metal and debree. All in all, the squads reached the front and entered a bunker establishment of the BDE. Taking his gun up into his arms, Gien tried to figure out just how many enemy soldiers were coming over the horizon. No land crafts appeared visible to his eyes, but nothing could be certain. Already, the last stand began for the natives.

“Commander Schi,”, a officer saluted, “we have reports of enemy troops coming from all sides of the city.”

Nothing could’ve been worse news to the commander’s ears.

“Damn...alright, this is what we do. Have our assault ships take out any enemy crafts or squads they notice making their way towards the city. Inform our squadrons in the northeastern and southwestern bunkers to make their way here, ASAP. There’s no doubt that we have the advantage in numbers and in quality of our soldiers, but the natives have more at stake here than we do. Never forget. Now, lets get out there.”

BDE’s Prisoner Dropship

About a quarter mile from Lakdon, natives to Liinade were taken prisoners and docked and were currently being docked onto a dropship. Over 50 prisoners were being loaded on, with just as many armed death commandos instructing them on. Of the prisoners, two had known of the last resistance force on route with Lakdon. In order to draw soldiers away from a fairly large legion of natives, the two soldiers drew the commandos attentions away from rustling in the distance, consequently becoming prisoners themselves. Their names were Marco and Sid.

“Come on, move along. No sudden movements”, each officer repeated at least ten times boarding the prisoners.

“They treat us like s***. Its not like we fired back at them.”, moaned Marco.

“Well what do you expect. Their an invading force, and we’re the resistance. Course their going to treat us like s***.”

Their talking got them no where as a soldier came up from behind Sid and knocked him in the back of the neck with the hilt of his gun.

Ten minutes later, waking up and feeling a sharp pain in his neck, Sid looked around for his accomplice. The room was dark, making it difficult to see, and knew he had to be quite if there were any soldiers nearby. Apparently, knocking elbows with Sid was Marco, fine as can be, for a prisoner.

“Sid, that you?”, he whispered.

“Yeah, what just happen there?”

“You were knocked out. You’ve been out for ten minutes now. We’re on our way to the capitol ships Im guessing.”

The men around the two just couldn’t care less between Sid and Marco’s conversation. Nor did the commandos anymore. Now that they got this batch onboard, they could talk as much as they want.

“I hope the task forces succeed in taking back Lakdon.”
“...they cant. Its impossible. There’s just too many of them. Our leader is probably dead by now.”

“Don’t say that. Than it will never get liberated. Bet they don’t expect a surprise-“

Quickly stepping on Sid’s boot, he whispered to keep quiet.

“Shut up. They don’t care if we talk, but if they hear anything useful for this takeover, they wont be afraid to beat more out of us.”, Marco whispered in a threatening voice.

Not one more word came from his lips. The ship began to rumble under their feet and the soldiers started to rustle about the room.

“May all BDE be damned for their actions.”

The Lakdon Front

It has now been three hours into the last Liinade resistance movement. Gien Schi has lead his men to near victory, with minimal casualties to the Black Dragon Empire. The security level of Lakdon has also decreased as dropships docked closer to the front. With a little more than 10,000 unused troopers up in the capitol ships, Commander Schi has proved the empire well with no recent reports of his mysterious bounty hunter...

“Hurry up with that, soldier.”

“Yes, commander.”

Spending three hours in a hostile battle zone too caused injuries to Gien. Minor injuries such as multiple bruises and a cut that had to be stitched up across his left arm.

“Ok sir, that should heal within one to two weeks.”

Making his way to the back of the establishment, Gien searched through various sizes for a new, right fitting armor. Alas, finding what he was looking for, he strapped on the armor and stepped out of the trenches, leading up to the city’s north entrance. Bodies littered the Liinade soil, with rivers of blood flowing down the city’s streets. The last sweep of the battlefield was currently being carried out by a few hundred more death commandos. Stepping over bodies from both sides of the battle, the commander proceeded over to Captain Rondarius.

“Ok, give me your report...”

“Well, we have word that our men blockading the cities held up after all,. Prisoners are being escorted to our dropships, and we’re finishing up here. “

“Have our men scavenge what they can of their weapons and tell them, that if any natives give them a problem, shoot them on the spot. Good job, Captain.”

“Thank you sir. Ill get right on it...but there was one last issue you should take a look at.”

“And what’s that?”

“If you follow me over here, Ill show you.”

In his mind, victory had already been achieved. Nothing could ruin his mood.

“He said he wanted to talk to you personally, and that ‘you’ apparently hired him to assist us in the take over. He also told our men that he had some very important news to report to you, but would not tell us a thing.”

“..that’s...strange. Besides our own troops, no one else was hired...”

They both entered through the doorway, for Gien to realize a dire mistake. The room contained three guards, and a unfamiliar figure standing between them. He dressed in Mandalorian armor and was well armed. The figure stood, hand over hand with one another, awaiting the commander’s arrival.

“I told you, Commander Schi, if you touched this planet, their would be consequences...”, a cold voice spoke from underneath its helmet.

“Idiots, seize him! It’s that damned bounty hunter.”

Taron Reagon was his name, a one of the few bounty hunters with actual bounties on his head, by the Huttese. Contacting Gien at the dawn of the takeover, he threatened the commander if he would continue with the mission. Undyingly, he was true to his word and appeared before his eyes.

As the guards reached for the Twi’lek bounty hunter, Taron took an arm from both of them and pulled them to him. Just as quickly, General Rondarius reached for his blaster and tried vigorously to get a clear shot at the bounty hunter. Gien backed up, towards the entrance of the tent, unbelieving the site before him.

“See, commander, don’t you remember the saying: an eye for an eye?”, kicking the two guards into the general”, “In this case, lives for a life. You took millions of dollars from me in few mere hours, now I want something in return, preferably your life.”

Gien’s eyes wandered frantically, searching for a weapon. Taron took out one of his two dual pistols, as if he were a gunslinger, and blasted each officer in the head, including the general. Now it was just Gien and his assassin.

“That’ll cost you.”, the commander stated welding a vibro blade in his right hand.

The Twi’lek bounty hunter just continued his slow approach. As he came into striking distance, Gien whipped his arm around in an attempt to slice Taron. He caught Gien’s wrist coming around and grabbed for his opposite wrist. Unable to do much, the commander squirmed like a worm on hook to brake free.

“It wouldn’t take much to brake your arms, like you broke my hopes for this planet.”, Taron wispered putting more strain on the commander’s green arms.

At last, he kicked Gien away, causing a scene when he came diving out of the tent’s entrance, back first. All nearby soldiers were coming to inspect the commotion. Seeing their commander, crawling to get back on his feet, sparked every soldier’s curiosity. All but 1/3 of the nearby troopers approached the tent, while the other third went to check on their commander.

“Kill him...(cough)...that damned bounty hunters in there!”, he cried, “Don’t let-“

His orders were interrupted by an alarming explosion. Looking back to his tent were soldiers flung into the air. The military tent went up, no doubt due to Taron Reagon. The soldiers cautiously stepped through the debree for any signs of the bounty hunter. Catching Gien’s attention was a some kind of movement upward out of the fire.

“There! In the smoke! Shoot him!”

It was too late. Rapid fire darted from the black cloud, taking out most, if not all the surrounding troopers. Gien looked around for a blaster that worked, but was unsuccessful, instead finding a vibroaxe, still in proper working condition. He took to his feet and glared into the sky, while Taron took to the ground, hand in hand with his pistols.

“Don’t shoot. You could hit the commander.”, the officers shouted at one another.

Gien Belasarius Schi made one last turn to his soldiers and told them to hold their fire. He wanted to personally take care of this menace, on his own.

Before he could react, the bounty hunter had already rushed Gien with a vibro blade in one hand, and a pistol in his other. The two clashed in a power struggle; Gien was very crafty with the axe, keeping the distance between them. Taron finally got in a perfect position to blast the commander in his side, until the unexpected happened. Gien twisted his body into a unnatural position and slashed down at his opponent’s weapon. The pistol’s barrel split in two and the battle became a brawl.

Both were becoming extremely exhausted and couldn’t go on much longer. Taron threw down his pistol and went after the commander with only a vibro blade. Drawing the blade closer and closer against the axe’s handle, the Twi’lek pinned Gien to blood stained ground. By now, a grand crowd gathered about the them, most roaring and boasting in favor of their commander: “Cut the Twi’leks legs off!”, “Rip his spine from his body!”, were only a few of the taunting gestures.

“Should have turned back when you had the chance, Schi...”

“And miss out on a chance to send you to hell? Never!”

He kicked Taron off and rushed back up to his feet. Unknowingly, Gien had not seen a few small actions of Taron’s on the ground. The bounty hunter began to circle him, with one closed fist and his vibro blade.

“What you....waiting for- worm?”, spoke Gien grinning, but yet, gasping for breathes of air.

He assailed Gien with remarkable speed. With a flick of his hand, a large wad of sand and dirt shot from the Twi’leks hand and into the eyes of the commander. Being temporarily blinded could mean the death of Schi as anyone there knew it, and they did know it. The soldiers enclosed on the two, feet by feet.

“...Damn it....you...piece of -“, the blind Schi scolded.

“Perfect.”, Taron interrupted. Everyone surrounding them watched as the red Mandalorian armor took flight. Gien began to trip over himself continuously, constantly scratching and rubbing his eyes to regain his vision. The hunter waited for the perfect timing and than soared down, on his jetpack, blade aimed towards the chest plate of Schi.

“Commander!”

A close-by officer tossed his blaster rifle to the feet of Gien and directed him to pick it up right away. Upon impact, the two clashed to the ground in a cloud of smoke. Upon his body laid that of Taron. The commandos ran to the two bodies and examined each. They feared one had killed the other and vice versa.

“Is our commander...”

Pushing the carcass of Taron Reagon over off his own body, Gien was aided up to his feet. The blade had gone almost completely through the Black Dragon armor, and was very lucky that he was alive. On the other hand, the soldiers looked down at the once notorious Taron Reagon. A wound had already closed around his heart region, still giving off small portions of smoke. Next to the body laid the BDE standard class blaster rifle.

Gien had survived with no serious injuries to his body, and was able enough to give a speech to the BDE representatives in the capitol building of Lakdon.

Capitol Building Conference Room (4th day of Takeover)

The room was split into multiple rows of chairs and tables. In front stood a large, black podium with a black dragon symbol on the front. The Falleen commander stood at the podium, proud and gallant. On both his sides stood a line of Gien’s remaining officers in command during the hostile takeover.

“I come before you today, as the commander who surpassed all obstacles of the past few days. I too stand before you as the person who proved my race has what it takes to prove a empire such as BDE as a galactic power force, not to be reckoned with... As the natives had, we have lost casualties also...dear officers of ours...Is it our duty to send soldiers to the death for the good of a nation? It is most definitely right. I will demonstrate the iron fist of the Black Dragon Empire through our fleet, in future missions...Let this be a example to those who dare challenge our will.”

The masses all acknowledge the state in which they rested with the empire.

“Now, if you would be so kind as to sign this...”, Gien turned a contract of some kind in the direction of the planet’s representative. The human had been bound by his ankles and was dressed in ragged, torn clothes, with bruises and scrapes scattered over his visible flesh. Taking the pen into his quivering hands, the representative signed the document and was escorted out of the room. The dreaded commander whispered over to his lieutenant for the representative to be shot as soon as he was transported out of the building.

“You all are now property of the Black Tion Cluster, subsector to the Black Dragon Empire and our emperor. Resist us and pay a dire consequence you “wont” live to regret.”
