Rethian nodded thankful he might keep his identity to himself for the present. He seemed overwhelmed with the bustle of the spaceport, head constantly darting back and forth like a frightened, but inquisitive child as they walked.
He noted the ship as they approached grateful at the chance to be rid of these crowds once and for all. A few whispered voices and glances made his stomach turn, he was sure people were staring but then he was used to their scorn.
Rethian smiled but withheld comment on his real appraisal of their transport, though it did look as though it might have a caring owner and that at least was a good sign.
“Yes it seems in fine condition.” He ventured quickly boarding in all haste.
Rethian noted the manner of his travelling companion, he seemed watchful and reserved much as he was, odd an offworlder with some reminiscence of home. Shaking it off the Shifter boarded and looked for a suitable seat.
His arm spasmed slightly, though he quickly controlled it. Already, he cursed to himself, it had only just taken him. Rethian tried to calm himself. It must have been the concentration and exertion yes that was it, but deep down he knew the real truth. The affliction was getting worse, the flowing feeling that kept pulling inward. Still again he felt calm here, very odd in such close presence to a stranger. Besides they would soon reach Naboo, he could, he must stay focused till then. There he was sure he would find the aid he needed.
Most likely unheard by those on board, a pair of small shuffling sounds seemed to tap against the ship, hardly noticeable to the average person as nothing was visible but something definitely seemed off.
Some shouting from below quickly followed and a heated argument erupted. It was then Rethian seemed to duck in his seat, though he had no idea why. Suddenly a loud bang went off nearby to the hanger wall. Smoke gushed everywhere and small canisters were thrown about, debris landing scattered across half of the hanger. The ship surely collected some, but was quite likely undamaged.
Anyone astute enough to be paying attention would of noticed a few words regarding ‘payment’ and ‘dislike of competition’….
