Leia frowned in thought.

"These burdens you speak of... the Republic could probably find a way to easily dispense of without having a disaster on our hands.

Overall, I believe the Republic would be happy to facilitate such a merge. The groups, once combined, could accomplish more than enough to allow us to dismiss the downsides of picking up a few extra military hassles."

She paused, as if consulting something offscreen.

"A complete merger deal could be formed and completed within this same conversation span very easily. To finalize such a join you would be required to travel here to Corellia in person to sign the papers under witness in an official meeting, to make the merge official and final.

Looking into the matters of integrating the TNA fleet, assets, and the people who serve to maintain those assets into the Republic's Command structure.... exactly what are your preferences in reguards to going about that?"

"I have no preferences,really.Our fleets have withdrawn to the planet Onyx and are currently regrouping.We will turn everything over to the New Republic as soon as we sign the merger papers.My flagship,the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Archammer<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->,is en route to Corellia as we speak.We should be there soon.So,I will see you when I get to Corellia?"

Leia nodded.

"You shall. The Republic will be looking for you to arrive. It has been a pleasure speaking with you, I look forward to your impending visit."

She smiled at the image of the New Alliance leader before her, and then it dissapeared as the transmission was cut.

She leaned back in her chair, thoughtful.

Tarkin took the datapad from Logan and looked at it.He read everything off like a list.

"A command ship.
Munitions
Ration Supplies.
Weapons.
Tibinna Gas.

Fighters.........all you requests are granted.I will have a Star Destroyer shipped here at once.Will that suffice as a command ship?"

"Will will suffice quite nicely.Thank you"

"Remember,the Empire does not just give out Star Destroyers on a whim.We are trusting that you will use it to start a military.If you do not prove effective in starting one...we will find someone else."

"Yes sir"

"Good.All your other need shall be met by the suppliers who will come here with the Star Destroyer"

"Understood"

"It has been a pleasure,Admiral Logan"

"Same here sir"

"Good bye,and Good luck"

Logan thanked the Grand Moff and watched as he left.Somehow this would not be easy,running this new Alliance"<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

"We have downloaded the entire library into the computer banks of the-"

"Quiet!...this is a top secret matter.Do not talk about the location of the copies."

Logan turned to look out the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Archammer<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->'s veiwports and stared at the swirling mass of hyperspace.They would be approaching Correlia soon.They were probably in the outlier systems already.

"Sir we are being ordered out of hyperspace"

"By whom"?

"The New Republic Corellia Sector Division"

"A fleet?"

"Yes sir"

"Well please exit hyperspace and inform them we were invited by Cheif of State Leia Organa Solo"

"I have sir.They responded with somthing about being nervous when it comes to an <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Eclipse<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-class Super Star Destroyer."

"Ah,I see.Well put their commander on screen"

"Aye"

The holoprojector flared to life in front of Logan and the commander's image replaced that of a holo of the Galaxy.

"Regent Logan"

"Yes I am Regent Logan.Why were we ordered from hyperspace"?

"We just need to do some security checks with your ship and it's escorts"

"Certainly"

"It will only take a minute or so"

"Well,please infoirm me when you are finished"

"I will sir.Thank you for your cooperation"

"Yes of course"

Logan turned to Captain Neychev.

"Have our escorts arrived from Selonia"?

"Yes sir.And the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Keerow<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> has also arrived from Obroa-skai."

"Good.I look forward to steping on the bridge of my old ship again."

"As do I sir"

Logan turned to the veiwport agian and watched as several Selonian Star Cruisers and Correlian Gunships appeared out of hyperspace,along with one <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Imperial<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-class Star Destroyer.
The <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Keerow<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> had been Logan's first ship,provided by Grand Mof Tarkin himself as a command ship.And now Logan wanted it by his side when he handed everything over to the New Republic.

Soon the Corellian Sector Division announcd that they were finished and the <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Archammer<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> and it's escorts reentered hyperspace.When they arrived at Corellia Logan and his entourage took a <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Lambada<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->-class Shuttle down to the surface to talk with Organa Solo.

He smiled as he and Mahk entered her office.

"Hello Chief Organa Solo"

Leia looked up from her work, and stood with a smile to greet her guests as the New Alliance representatives entered.

"Welcome to Corellia, the New Republic's base political center. It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person."

The three all were seated; Leia behind her desk, Logan and a man she did not recognize in plush chairs opposite of her in front of the massive (and quite messy) desk. Drinks and other refreshments were offered and served, and pleasantries commenced...

"I was informed not too long ago that the official papers would be ferried up soon, and the gathered New Republic witness party is wandering around somewhere out on this floor. So things should be ready shortly.

I must venture ask you, however, how do you really feel about signing over your entire Order like this?"

OOC: Never mind about that.It was a mistake on my part and I have edited.

Logan sighed and sipped his drink.

"I feel I have no choice.I also have a deep hate for the Rogue Empire.Do not get me wrong,there is nothing wrong with the citizens,
I just disagree with their tactics and I loathe the propaganda they put out."We are just trying to save the Galaxy"...and all that nonsense."

Logan smiled faintly.

"I am really sorry for having to put all this on your shoulders.But tge Republic is my only friend right now"

Leia shook her head.

"No, it is no problem at all. We are glad to be of service in any way we can. Besides, it's not like we won't reap any benefits from this deal anyways."

There was a tentative knock on the door, and it slid open to reveal a group of politicians. Leia noted Hex was not among them.

"Ah, my signing party. Now if only we had the damn papers..."

The group of picture perfect politicians shuffled into the office and clustered in a corner.

The thought made her smile, the origins of the smile mysterious to all others in the room.

"Ah yes, the Rogue Empire... I find it intriguing that a common enemy has dictated circumstances to the extent that they are our allies, and no longer our foes. I do wonder what will happen to that relationship in the near, and far future. Seeing as you will be serving Republic High Command as a fleet Commander, how will you feel working with your despised enemy, though it is quite true that we rarely have contact with them?"

Logan hated Politics.And he hated politicians even more.He frowned slightly as they entered the room but forced himself to ignore it.He wrenched his eyes from the politicians and forced himself to look at Leia.

"The Rogue Empire,in my opinion,is not the best choice for an ally.But that is my opinion...I'm sure the New Republic High Command has it's reasons for staying with them"

He winced as the camera crews began taking pictures of him and Organa Solo together.He surmised that this was some sort of historic event,and he knew that the New Reoublic media would want to cover the event.

He turned to Organa Solo.

"What benefits do you think the New Republic would receive out of this merger"?

"Well...."

Leia spread both of her hands out on her desk before her, in thought.

"There is the obvious answer of material of course. The Republic and the New Alliance are two of the most powerful groups on our side of the conflict. Combined, we can give the Empire a run for it's money more efficiently, and hopefully use our unity to spread our common goals."

She shrugged.

"And of course, it would all be in the name of the New Republic, which is good for... <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> politics<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->."

She nodded towards the corner of politicians. Leia knew herself to be a policitian as well, but not the stereotypical one. She knew the ways, she just didn't play them all. Heaven forbid, she had morals and aspirations for the better good and not just for herself.

A flash went off and she blinked, momentarily blinded.

She saw her aide step in, and she flagged her down.

"Get them out of here now, only the Republic's recording staff needs to be present."

The rowdy crowd of reporters was shooed out, leaving the corner of politicians and the Republic's media crew setting up their holocams in the opposite corner.

Leia smiled.

"Much more pleasant now..."

There was another knock at the door, and two heavily laden men walked in, each holding a huge stack of duraplast papers. One stack was set down in front of Leia, the other in front of Logan.

"Ah, good. We can begin... ready?"

Logan nodded.

"Let us get this over with"

Logan looked down at the stack of papers and frowned inwardly.This was the worse part of the merger.Logan had devoted years of life to building the New Alliance.He had literally created it with only one Star Destroyer and a few volunteers.He had worked so hard in creating it,now it seemed like he was signing all his hard work away,as if it didn't matter.He knew that this would help the New Republic inmeasurably.He sighed as he signed paper after paper.Even though he was going to be demoted in rank he still signed it

Regent Joren Logan.

He slunk into the signing,not letting anything bother him.
