"Your petty desires are not the matter here," Velil stated angrily, silencing the petty figure, "you are on trial for your blasphemy!"
"But what blasphemy my lord?!" Taren cried, dropping to his knees on the cold, hard marble floor. "What have I done beside simply practice the Dark Side of the Force?"
Velil's glowing red eyes narrowed dangerously at the prospect. Could anyone truly be this ignorant? Could they truly believe themselves innocent even in the face of all these facts?
"You are far from innocent! The Dark Side of the Force is not to be trampled with or toyed with in any of the childish games of which you seemed to so jovily induce it. It is the foundation of our ways, used only with the approval of the triumverate. How dare you propose that you are allowed to use these arts without the explicit approval of myself or the others!"
The man stared down, feeling his fate coming onto him. He knew the tribunal had judged him before ever hearing him out. There was no innocents in the Court of the Triumverate. There were only the guilty.
"My lord...I was aware of no such law...I..." he tried to find words that would bring him some kind of mercy, but there were none.
"Silence! If you so desired to know such a law you would have searched harder! Gahgrin holds vast libraries of which you could easily have studied here to find out such laws," Velil countered. It was not exactly a fair arguement, but the Sith did not particularly care.
Taren was going to be an example of Velil's unwillingess to stand for even the slightest blasphemy. After the Dark Circle's first collapse he had found himself at a great loss. He had personally rebuilt it with his own two hands, he would allow no dissent in his ranks.
"Sire perhaps if you'd-,"
"I will not take advice from a heretic!" Velil exclaimed. "Are you ready for your sentence?"
