Spa'ar fumed from his seat as the ship shot through hyperspace, the pockets on his face that turned red to signify anger were blood red. In an odd turn of events, the nephew of the infamous Nil Spar was now commanding the Yevethan Fleet. His normal duty was that of a Special Ops officer, though his skills lay in many areas. When he'd heard of this operation several weeks before, the Yevethan knew he'd have to take direct action in it. With the current strife inside the Duskhan League, a loyalist would have to lead this force, or who knows what would happen.

It had been fairly easy with his assets to step in and impersonate the Fleet Commander, a traitor by the name of Agarth. As a traitor, he'd been dispatched after all useful knowledge had been withdrawn from him, and Tetengo had been in his place since then. Kissing Greth's bootheels had threatened to give him ulcers, but from his position there it was all the easier to "arrange" for the traitorous lapdog of Yanth to find himself gravely ill as the date approached for the fleet to leave. Yanth himself was indesposed with the council, yet another distraction provided by the Intelligence operative and others loyal to the true Viceroy.

They'd left a week and a half ago, and Tetengo's displeasure with the task grew each hour. They were assisting the Mon Calamari in thier assault against the murderous Yuzzuh Vong. While he fully acknowledged and approved of striking out at the scarred fanatics, like all Yevethans the operative was fiercely xenophobic. He detested all non-Yevethans, though he would at least allow them the chance to prove themselves. That was the anchor that held his sanity. This mission would prove the Mon Cals to Spa'ar, one way or the other. Thier track record of late however was bothersome. They'd suffered many defeats, including thier homeworld, and now suffered under the peace treaty that had ended that war.

So now he found himself on the bridge of the Yevethan flagship, the Eclipse-class Star Destroyer "Pride of Yevetha", gazing at the swirling colors of hyperspace in the front viewport as his temper simmered. Two hours remained until they would arrive at thier target, the capital of the once great Tion Hegemony, Jaminere. Silently the Yevethan composed himself and keyed the ships intercom. Before speaking he nodded to the communications officer, an order to relay his message over the HoloCom to the rest of the fleet.

"Attention all crew. We are a mere two hours from striking the enemy. As of now I want everyone to report to thier stations. The next two hours are to be used to run diagnostics on your equipment and combat drills. We must be ready to face a difficult and tenacious foe. Set all weapons and instruments to prepare for combat against the Yuzzah Vong. We will be victorious this day."

He killed the transmission and watched as those around him lept to action. The tests and simulations run in the remaining time went well. Simulations based off of the best intelligence that could be provided showed that it would be a difficult and most likely lengthy battle. As everyone prepared for re-entry to realspace, Spa'ar watched the last seconds tick off the timer. They ran out and the swirling colors gave way to streaks, then stars. They were just outside the system. "Run all scans and have all ships take thier positions. Launch the first wave of fighters. They'll jump on thier own. Charge the superlaser as well. We move again as soon as those are completed," the officer ordered.

Long range scans reached into the system but could not provide unquestionable results. In a few minutes the ships of the Duskhan League reformed and jumped once more, a mere three minute jump to the edges of the Jaminere system. Scans were fired off again as the shields on all ships were raised and the second wave of fighters began to leave the hanger even as the first took action. Finally, the hyperspace pulsemass generators of the Blessings-class ships fired up while the gravity wells began warming up in case they were needed.

I won't envoke the 72 hour rule, I'd actually like to have a real battle for once. However if something hasn't come up by tommorow afternoon/evening, I will continue on, and trust you to react accordingly. Thank you.

Surprisingly enough as the forces pulled in, there were no Yuuzhan Vong ships to be seen in outer space.
