Tales of the Empire

A New Hope

Grand Admiral Azrael Zell had all but disappeared from the Galactic spotlight. In fact even the most highly decorated Imperial Officers didn't even know where he'd run off to. But perhaps an even more grim prospect was, would he return?

The answer to that it seemed could only be revealed in time. For all of the Imperial Intelligence and even the Grand Admiral's closest friends had no clue to his whereabouts. The Empire's most prominent military figure was somehow M.I.A.

"WHERE THE HELL IS HE?" The Admiral Daemon Hyfe shouted through the comm channel.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW?!?" The Admiral slammed a gloved hand into the tabletop which he was standing in front of.

"MIA?" His facial expression showed that of shock at the very thought. "How does the commander of the largest fleet in the Empire suddenly become missing in action?!?" Daemon said as he somewhat calmed his nerves.

"Find him! Don't rest until you do!" Daemon said as he swiftly cut the comm channel.

Galactic relations were going sour, but what was to be expected in a time like this? Zell's personal journey had come to an end and now it was time to return to his post.

<font color=#00FF00>The Present</font>

Grand Admiral Zell sat there, clothed in his pristine white Imperial Officer's uniform. His heart beat just a little faster than normal and his nerves buzzed with excitement. He was going home. Although he didn't even know what that prospect meant. He was a new man now... he'd found out things on his journey that would change him forever.

He sat back in his large chair in the small shuttle which he'd left in several months ago. The pilot seemingly one of only a handful of people who'd known Zell's whereabouts during his prolonged hiatus. He stared out through the viewport reminiscing on his past accomplishments. This last trip back to the Empire would add several more memories to Zell's overflowing reservoirs.

"Long live the Empire". Zell breathed to himself as he saw his destination just over the horizon.
