<span style="font-family:georgia ms; color:black;font-size:small;">OPERATION: Gree Survivors
PHASE: One
CODE NAME: Immortality</span>
The planet was on the furthest edges of their space, inside the Unknown Regions but very near the Outer Rim. It had been discovered by a relatively small scouting fleet on a return route from Ord mantell.
Three Weeks Previous
Th'twirirl; commander of the first Lhwekk Scout fleet and consecrator of Frwen, was heading back to base to resupply his fleet and take a much needed shore leave in the great city of Lhwekk. His hatchlings hadnt seen their vater from birth, he had hoped they would grow beyond their class restrictions into something more, though he know that couldnt be and such thoughts were treason...
"Commander, Ive got something very large moving ahead of us"
"What species?"
"Unknown commander, its hull does not conform to any known readings"
"Transfer sensor scans to my station"
As he watched his screen quickly transfered into a sensor readout on the new vessel and he immediatly understood the scanners reaction to the sweep. The vessel was large enough to swallow every ship in the scouting fleet and have room for more. Oddly enough he couldnt detect any operating weapons systems.
"Any government capable of building such a vessel must have resources that could be invaluable to the Imperium. Helm, change course to follow their own. Comm, inform the crew of our actions and shore leave is now postponed"
He felt a slight shudder ripple the deck under him, before he could speak his question was answered for him
"Commander, the ship has reverted back to realspace"
"Continue on this course for two more clicks then revert ourselves. We dont want to make our prescence known if they havent already detected us."
"Im reading a planet on passive scanners, many cities. Not reading a large general populace.."
"Comm, prepare a message beacon and pack it into a hyperspace pod. Include this planets coordinates and all sensor readings thus far, send it to Lhwekk. Continue scaning the planet in the meantime, keep me apprised of the ships actions..."
