Awdin for the fourth or fifth time that day looked around the bridge of the freighter ship he had been given for this particular outing, and sighed shaking his head ever so slightly. He wondered why the confederation command couldn’t have given him a better ship especially something with more guns. He just didn’t feel right without a little more weaponry for protection, and not to mention maybe something a bit better maintained. At this thought he absently kicked the side of his command chair and watched as a piece of rust fell off. It was however the only thing he could find on such short notice and that fit the descriptions of what they wanted. So this was the ship he was stuck with at the moment. On an up note, even though it didn’t look it, was an incredibly fast ship for something of its class, and that along with the 3 quad cannons the ship did have should be enough to get them out of most situations where things went wrong.

Even though he was a bit irritated at the ship arrangements, he could understand though why it was needed to use this thing, and for the cover story and such of suppliers of Stellar’s.

He absently looked at his clothes and that of the Confederation military personnel on the ship, which consisted of pretty normal clothing that would pass for traders or whatever they needed to be. But unlike those traders almost all of the 20 crew here, aside from 8 techs and crewmen, and 4 scientists, the rest were Kashan shock troopers and all of them carried newly purchased E-11 blaster rifles, and he himself had a blaster hidden in his jacket. But thinking of the mission he doubted that they would really need the guns, but it never hurt to have them.

One of the crewmen next to him called out, “Sir we will be dropping out of hyperspace shortly.” The tech never even looked up at him, nor stopped what he was doing on the counsel.

Awdin nodded, “Inform me when we are about to revert.” The tech nodded this time looking up only shortly and then returning to his counsel, tapping a small ear bud and informing the pilot.

Awdin took a deep breath as he thought of the assignment he had been given, and it oddly surprised him that he had been selected for it but he didn’t dwell on it much, and instead turned his thoughts to the mission.
He looked over at the case that contained a folder and data pad that he had carried with him since he had left Confederation space and had not let it out of his sight not once. On the outside it looked like nothing special just a plain black case with a lock in the middle that had a small area for a thumbprint and access code that would open it, but inside were two plasma emitters that if the case was forced open, or the access code and thumb print wrong just once, would fry everything inside. A little much but inside was pretty much the culmination of all the research the Kashan’s had done in the field of nanotech and its relevant subsidies, and many of the ideas that the Kashan Scientists had proposed and thought up. Along with that were the relevant orders and documents that gave Awdin the full use of any and all facilities on a factory moon in the Cularin System.

Before he had left he had gone over almost all of the documents and found it extremely interesting and had even thought of a few ideas of his own but doubted that they would be very relevant or worth mentioning. He had however understood that most of the stuff in that case was extremely important and could give the Kashan military, and Stellar’s forces and advantage in a lot of military situations and in time could even be very useful for everyday use by a lot of the general population but all of them were most likely very far away as they still had much research and testing to do, which is where Stellar would probably be able to help. He had already released a few techs that used nanotech, such as his newest air cleaning, and pollution cleaning robots.

“Reverting to normal space… Now.” Awdin watched as indeed the blues and whites of hyperspace turned into the blackness of normal space. The main viewscreen however was dominated by the planet of Belgorath, one of Stellar Enterprises worlds and the place this meeting could finally take place on.
“Ok take us in, and send a subspace message to the fleet to tell them to stay on alert just incase.” Once again he thought maybe a little much but as another precaution he had stationed his fleet a few lights years away hidden in an asteroid field and it would take them only minutes to reach the planet in an emergency. He had as a prevention also set up a picket of Deathsabers, that would alert the main fleet of anything approaching the fleet, and they were far enough out that the fleet would have a few minutes before the incoming ships would actually be able to pick them up, and that coupled with the asteroids interesting ability to somewhat impede detection of other vessels would give them enough time to either intercept

“Yes sir. Message sent and taking us in.” Awdin looked out the main view port as the ship dived to port and started on a course toward the facility on Belgorath’s surface. As they started on the new course Awdin finally saw the SpaceDocks above the planet. Of moderate size he realized that they were probably pretty new but they looked like they already fully operational. In fact he watched as a freighter ship exited one of the docks bays. He wondered what Stellar was going to produce with that thing, but at this point it didn’t really matter. He felt a small jerk as they entered the atmosphere at last, and the StarDocks slid out of sight only to be replaced by the upcoming image of Belgoraths surface. “Well time to do this thing. Please inform the control that we are on approach and request landing information. Troopers, you’re with me.” With that he walked to the door which slid open as he approached and began to journey to the exit ramp.
As he left he just heared the tech, “Belgorath control, this is freighter 334 requesting clearance to land and landing information and instructions.” He left before he could hear a response. He smiled slightly; it was time to see Stellar.

(Woo Hoo i'm in austria and i can't udnerstand a word anyone says, I edited out a few mistakes i made while writing this.)

The landing vector given to the freighter was one of a handful that were used by cargo ships landing on Belgaroth at the large Belgara Spaceport. There they would all land and load up their holds before taking off on opposite vectors, so as not to interfere with landing operations. This was not a normal occasion, however, and after the Kashan freighter passed an invisible line in the air, a series of ground based tractor beam projectors locked onto it.

"Freighter 334, this is Stellar Enterprises Ground Control. We will take you to your destination now. Please cut all power to engines, weapons and shields. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Ground Control out."

As the person on the other else cut out, freighter 334 shook slightly as it was taken hold by four large tractor beams. Those projectors slowly altered the freighter's decent and vectored it away from the mainland, towards a large island a few hundred kilometers to the west. Within the center stood an oval shaped compound, towards which they now flew.

In only a few moments they were over the massive building structure and made to descend into once of many large docking bays that lined the outside this oval. For seconds it seemed that they would be set down on the roof, but it swirled open below them and let them settle softly onto the durasteel deck.

Once settled, a set of clamps locked onto the landing struts and the whole floor smoothly moved down just after the roof closed up again. On the freighter's trip down it was slowly and thoroughly scanned for everything that would be dangerous to the facility they descended into. It was quickly noted that the crew of the ship far exceeded that of what was needed to run a ship of its type. The locations of these person were also recorded.

Rob Stellar, as well as guard detail of 6 CD-1 combat droids and 2 CD-2 combat droids, awaited the ship as it cleared the scanners and settled on the lower level. As usual these days, he wore his black tunic, manufactured from nanofibers and created for comfort as well as protection. Through his ear implant, Rob had quickly been updated on the status of the ship and wondered by his friends, the Kashan, had sent so many people for this little visit. He also wondered why they had parted a good sized fleet right at the edge of his system.

Belgaroth, as a Stellar Enterprises center in this part of the galaxy, was heavily patrolled and scanned. It was one of many deep space Spectrometer satellites that had picked up the fleet coming out of hyperspace. With the increase in pirate activate do the increased traffic around Belgaroth, the planet and the space around it was greatly monitored.

The opening of the ship refocused Rob's thinking and he watched the formation of heavily armored droids advance towards the ship as a man emerged, followed by what seemed to be a dozen over men and women. It was not difficult to see that these were military personal.

The droids paused just in front of the group and one stepped forward, speaking a perfect human voice. "Welcome to Belgaroth Science Facility. This is a weapons free zone and weapons will not be allowed past this point. If you could, please instruct your men to leave all weapons on the ship."

"I'm sorry for that, they can be very protective." Rob Stellar interjected and walked up to squeeze in between two of the middle droids.

He looked upon the leader and smiled. "Greetings, I am Rob Stellar. If you wish your men to come with you, they will, as CeeDee stated, have to leave their weapons here. After that they will be allowed full access to the facility. If they wish to keep their weapons, though, they can stay here."

He paused and looked over the group that had come with the other and finally turned back to Awdin, studying him. "I'm afraid that goes for you as well. If you are carrying a weapons, please, in the interested of our friendship leave it aboard the ship."

Awdin looked at the man that pushed passed the 8 ominous combat droids that had awaited him and his personnel as he left. He looked the man up and down for a moment before he spoke,

"Greetings, I am Rob Stellar. If you wish your men to come with you, they will, as CeeDee stated, have to leave their weapons here. After that they will be allowed full access to the facility. If they wish to keep their weapons, though, they can stay here." He paused for a moment looking at Awdin directly, “I'm afraid that goes for you as well. If you are carrying a weapons, please, in the interested of our friendship leave it aboard the ship.” Awdin watched as the man looked him up and down, and then did the same before facing the man.

Awdin smiled slightly but noticed the man’s notice had drifted behind him to the Kashan troops and scientists that had exited the ship. He sighed as he saw the soldiers’ military posture and alert, he gestured to them lightly, he spoke lightly into an intercom, “Relax, you don’t need to worry right now.” He watched as the soldiers relaxed a little and assumed a more casual posture lowering their weapons a bit.

He then turned his attention back to Stellar who still stood there, then nodding reached into the vest he wore, removing a blaster he had put there. Handing to one of the shock troopers, “Michael, Sholl come with me everyone else stay on the ship.” He once again spoke this lightly into the intercom. The same soldier who now carried Awdin’s blaster took the two soldiers guns and then filed back into the ship along with the other 5 men.

“Ok now I have unarmed my men and me you can search use all you like but we have no more weapons, and just because your curious I can see as to the number of troops and weapons I will explain.” He paused slightly then continued, “The reason for this is because no one in the confederation wanted this,” he taped the case that he still carried, “To be in any danger, we wanted to make sure that everything was safe and that if need be we could protect it and these scientists to make sure none of it got into the wrong hands.”

“I know that this isn’t really much but it is the best our scientists have been able to come up with to the point and I thought it would be helpful to bring it along, it also contains most of our plans and projections. That and the small fleet you have no doubt already detected at the edge of the system were both for security purposes only until we got here; it was not meant as a threat or anything of the sort.” He smiled slightly, “I wouldn’t really want to ruin this after only 5 minutes.”

“Now if your droids would allow it how about we get this thing started and begin what we came here to do, I think you’ll find the ideas these guys have come up,” he motioned to the scientists, “very interesting, at least I thought so.” Awdin watched as Stellar replied.

Awdin looked back to the freighter at the open hatch where only 2 armed Kashan guards now stood still once again for security reasons but he doubted they would really need it, at least he hoped they wouldn't. He wasn't sure if they could get of this if they did.

Rob gave a smile and a small nod. "I understand. There is no need to worry. The Confederation and Stellar Enterprises have been good friends for some time now, I do hope that never changes."

He turned and pointed towards the series of doors at the other end of the hanger, past the droids. "Please come this way. I'm sure everything the Confederation has come up with will be very interesting. You have some of the best scientists around, it would be a pleasure to have ours work with them."

That said Rob moved towards the exit, while the line of droids parted slightly. As they passed through them, one of the droid's closely followed Rob.

"Ced, please look after our friends. Make sure they get whatever they want and allow them access to our recreation center." Rob told the droid and motioned towards the men inside the freighter.

Ced, while looking like the rest of the CD-1 droids in the hanger, was an enhanced model. He was the security leader and as such, under the new plans, been installed with the newest droid brain available. Each brain was able to learn and make judgments on its own, as long as though complied with regulations set inside the droid. The brains also allowed each droid who possessed them to live through experiences and therefor develop unique personalities.

Not only that, the leader droids had advanced sensor and communication units, allowing them to talk with and transmit data from recon drone or other intel units in a given area. They had the ability to use this information and quickly organize teams of droids to meet any treat. Their computing power allowed them to keep track of and manage up to a thousand droids.

To make all SE droids more compatible with people, all the ones that have to talk with beings were being fitted with vocal recreation hardware, allowing them to sound like any living being and giving them the ability to speak most of the common languages in the galaxy.

Rob watched Ced nod as only a droid could and turn back towards the ship. He looked back at the Confederation delegations and moved ahead of them. With a smile he placed his palm on a section of the wall, letting the sensor read his veins and fingerprints before the exit sign turned from red to green. AS it did the doors automatically parted.

"Shall we? We have a train to catch." He grinning and moved through the door, followed by the rest.

While passing through the doorways, powerful full body scanners passed along each person, making sure they were not hiding anything dangerous. After the last one was scanned and nothing was found, a hover train pulled up in front of them all. Once all were on board it accelerated towards the research center that existed some kilometers away, deep under the surface of Belgaroth.

As soon as they were underway, Rob turned towards Awdin. "Please come with me. We can start this meeting. It will be a few minutes before we reach the complex."

He stood up and move towards the rear of the train, were a large conference room awaited them.

Awdin looked at Stellar as he gestured and spoke to the security droid he referred to as CED. Awdin guessed to himself that the droid was some kind of commander unit or at least one made to lead others. He looked back to his men when Stellar had finished, and the droid had nodded, “Relax, go to the recreation center, work out do something just relax guys.” He could tell that most of them were tense and decided he might as well tell them to relax.

He followed stellar with the scientists and the remaining droids trailing, the scientists looking awkward as ever, except for two who looked like they owned the place, and convinced they were above everyone else there. Then the droids with their strait postures, their metallic skin shining in the light along the passage.

They stopped for a moment as Stellar activated the scanners, he really couldn’t imagine what would happen if he had been carrying something or any of the scientists had. But eventually the continued onto a hover train that would take them farther into the Belgorath Facility, but for now he motioned them to the back were a large conference room awaited them, chairs sat around the table, their cushions looked inviting after the hard command seat of the freighter that he had sat in most of the trip there.

With a sigh he sat down the scientists taking seats next to him, placing their black cases on the table in front of them, each containing their research or a fraction of it that they had brought with them on the trip. The most important research and information, Awdin had brought with him. As he thought about it he brought the case up onto the table and opened it disengaging the security locks and such with a soft click.

Opening the case he brought out the datapad and sheets that the case contained, along with a small control panel along with a small block of material, setting them out in front of him before placing the case on the floor.

Closing the case he looked up at Mr. Stellar who had taken his own seat on the other side of the table his battle droids standing behind him their heads taking in the room searching for anything amiss. Outside the window he could see the lights and tunnel speeding by appearing only as streaks of light to him and those in the room.

He directed his gaze back to Stellar, taking a small breath before beginning, “Ok Mr. Stellar, as I said earlier today, and in my communication with you, we have come here to discuss a joint project, between Stellar Corporations, and its subsidies, and the Confederation. I am here to discuss a project involving the development of various Nanotechnologies, including those medical, military, and civilian.

“Over the past month or so we have been exploring various uses in nanotechnology, and have made some progress and been able to come up with some very interesting ideas as to what we may be able to do or would like to do in the future.”

He gestured to the sheets and datapad he had and the cases beside him, ‘This is almost everything we have collected over the last month in the way of research, and it isn’t much but it’s something, and seeing as your corporation has done some research into that area, we figured that if you’d be interested it would be beneficial and time saving to to collaborate on this project. Interested?” He waited for Stellar’s answer.
