Z'trop

Here he was on one of the most tropical places known across the galaxy and he couldn’t even venture to take in some sightseeing. It was raining; it had been raining for over almost two days since Bruce’s arrival. Not one drop of sunlight.

As if the environment was not enough to rile the man’s nerves, he’d also had very little choice but to stay cooped up inside his rather small yet private condominium… alone.

There was also that wicked migraine that surfaced and then disappeared again every three to four hours, non-stop. He’d taken the usual dosage his doctor had prescribed for him, but the medication seemed to have little to no affect lately.

Along with the migraines usually came the visual problems. For Bruce, the muddled vision usually was not much of a problem, until lately. As of late, he’d been having a lot of trouble walking around, bumping into things that he would otherwise be able to see.

So it was not much of a surprise to Bruce when he stood to answer his comm unit as it went off, bumping into the antique chair at his desk before answering the channel.

“Great galaxies.. Hello?!” He answered, frustration mixed with perturbation in his voice.

“Hello.. Is.. Is something the matter? Are you okay???”

The hologram came up; Bruce shook his head at the worried looking woman that greeted him.

“.. No.. Having one of those migraine/vision spells again… But I’ll be okay, not to worry; I just took my medication. Was there something you needed to speak to me about?”

Bruce grimaced in pain as he looked to the woman with a focused gaze.

“.. Hmm.. Okay then. I know you said to reach you if it was of grave importance, and although unexpected, it is.. A childhood friend of mine has recently fallen into imperial hands. I’m looking to you for permission to free him.”

Bruce arched an eyebrow.

“I take it you’re going alone?”

The woman remained quiet for a moment, as if she were harboring something she did not want him to know, but then changed her mind.

“.. Yes.”

He shook his head from side to side, somewhat vigorously.
“No.. Absolutely not.”

The brown haired woman’s brow narrowed in response.

“That is not the issue,” she said, speaking as if she already knew what his no was being addressed toward.

“.. It most certainly is. You know very well w…”

“.. Do I have your permission or not?”

“… Yes but I think you should at least take…”

“.. I won’t go alone if that’s what you‘re worried about..”

Bruce’s face softened, as if he’d been scolded. He could tell his words had hit her in a not so pleasant way by the look upon her face.

“I’m only trying to look out for your own well being.. I know you can handle yourself quite well on your own. It’s just a precautionary measure.. Please.. I..”

A more considerate gaze swept across the woman’s gaze.

“I understand.. I’ll be careful. I must leave now; I’m not sure what sort of state my friend is in. I’ll notify you as soon as I have word that he is safe..”

The hologram image cut off, Bruce cursed.

“Well that went rather nicely.. Maybe I’ll have a better time of things with Vanis..”

Turning to look out his window, Bruce could see a patch of sunlight trying to burst down onto the beach. It had finally stopped raining.

“Finally,” he said as he headed outside to find Vanis.

Z'trop

She had just stepped outside into the downpour when suddenly, it had stopped. She may have been soaked to the skin, but she didn't care. She had been cooped up in her quarters on this planet for almost two days, and raining or not, needed some freedom and space.

Vanis Grey, known ex-Sith Lordess, but still Sith, walked down the wet streets of Z'trop, looking for someone or something.

Perhaps Bruce could find something to do.

Taking out a comb, Vanis begins to comb her wet hair back into a long ponytail. Her long hair was troublesome at times, and only behaved when it was either wet, or in a ponytail.

She rounds a corner and slams into someone, sending her sprawling.

"Hey! What's the big idea?"
