Jian instantly turned to his Tactical Officer.

"Pull up everything on the Outer-Rim Federation. I want all the information in front of me, right now"

The Yevethan nodded and quickly turned back to his console and began working quickly.

"Admiral Griff is it? What is this proposition you have for me?" Jian asked just as his Tactical officer sliped a datapad into his hands.

Jian read it over.

Outer-Rim Federation

Small organazation that was formally located on Epsilon in the Minos Cluster. They were a small trading organazation that dictated trade rules and agreements. They became active just after the Ssi-ruuk invasion of the planet of Bakura. Imperial Intell reported that several shipyards and new vessels were being constructed ona small planetoid orbiting Epsilon. Minerals were extracted from its serface and transported to facilities on the planetoid, codenamed "Chiron". Imperial Intell reported its findings to Imperial Black Sword Command based in the Koornatch Cluster and Black Sword Command sent several vessels, including a Super Star Destroyer, to destroy the Federation's fleet and the shipyards. The mission was reported successful.

Jian was so involved in his readings that he didn't hear Griff's response at first.

Griff asked a second time, and this time the Yevethan finally looked up.

"Oh yes..Admiral. I was just reading up about your organization. I must admit we have quite a few things in common. I will allow you one hour"

The transmission was then cut.

And Griff laughed. He would have to do the same thing to his superiors. Apparently, the rumors of the Yevetha got quite out of hand.

A little while later Griff was standing next to the brightly colored Yevethan, watching the stars and the Strike-class Cruisers that waited 20,000 kilometers off the starboard bow. The Yevetha and the Federation forces had entered into an uneasy and tense truce. It was like at any moment something could erupt and they would be at war again.

"Somtimes I do not understand you humans" The droid said.

Griff turned and regarded the silver-colored machine. It was the translator he had brought with him. 3D-04, or ThreeDee for short, just looked back at him.

"Is there somthing wrong sir?"

"No" Griff said, turning back to Jian.

"Why do you not understand us Viceroy?" He asked.

The Yevethan turned to him slightly and then to the droid. The Yevethan spoke to the droid and ThreeDee translated.

"I have not had much contact with them. Except under the Imperial occupation"

Griff nodded.

"Same here. We were atacked by the Empire and driven from our homeworld"

"Yes. Epsilon was it?"

"Yes"

"Well, then I have heard your proposal. I need time to confer with the Council. ANd I must get the Duskhan League back"

Griff nodded.

"We will help you. I have full authority to assist you in any way" Griff said.

Jian nodded.

"Good. It appears we are now allies"

"Yes. Lets hope it stays that way"

Jian didn;t say anything. He simply escorted Griff out the door. ANd back to his shuttle, Griff himself came away with a feeling of accompluishment and victory. As soon as they got the Duskhan League under Jian's control, they could head for their destiny.

"Entering the N'zoth system" The navigator said.

Griff smiled to himself. He could finally go back and claim a victory. Something the Federation hadn't had in a long time.

"The Pride of Yevetha is ready. They are feeding Sensor telemetry to us. We have a visual"

"Put it up"

The flatscreen showed a huge visual of the N'zoth Shipyards and the planet itself.

"Oh...no..."

And docked inside one of the shipyards, was a brand new Menace-Class Star Destroyer. Another, presumably the Valiant swung around from an opposite shipyard and headed for them, while the one dicked started t come out, looking deadly.

"They are both powering weapons. The Valiant will be in range in two minutes. And the other...regestering as the Obsidian will be ghere in four minutes"

"Understood. All ships, target the Valiant and fire"

The small Strike-class Cruisers suddenly broke out from their hiding place under the Pride of Yevetha and came at the STar Destroyer, all guns blazing.

Then the Pride of Yevetha came in, its guns firing as well. The the ESD released its fighters, Dauntless-class Dive Bombers swooped in and began making Bombing runs on the Menace. With the Strikes shooting relentlessly at it and the bombers... the Valiant eventually eased its fire and powered down all of its engines.

A few minutes later and the Obsidian was also under control. The batle was short and sweet. A good victory.

6 Months later

"Unfortunately, our good Viceroy, Jian Paret will be stepping down. And this is the end of an era.

But... it is also the beginning of a new journey!...It is time to officialy announce that the Duskhan League, and our brothers in the Outer-Rim Federation, will be joining together! we will be strong! we will be powerful! For the glory of the Yevetha!!"

Jian looked from the holoprojector to the shadow man at the door.

"I hope you know what you are getting into" He said.

Groff nodded.

"I will not let you down"

But Jian didn't hear him, He was already alseep.

Griff stood there for a moment, and sighed to himself. As soon as the burden of power had passed from Jians shoulders, he had fallen asleep. Then Griff laughed silently to himself and left the room and headed foir the door, out of the Paret Estate. This was not over.

No, it certainly wasn't over. Spa'ar had been away when Admiral Griff and his forces had appeared, personally leading the forces hunting down those that had run from loyalist forces. Tetengo didn't often lead naval units, but when he did it was with a passion. Each and every one of the traitorous ships had been tracked down and captured with a minimum of damage. Thier traitorous commanders had been dispatched swiftly. Since then it had been one assignment after another.

The majority of the time since then has been spent investigating this Outer-Rim Federation, and the Yevethan wasn't sure he liked what he found. Like all non-Yevethans, these would have to prove themselves before earning respect from the Intelligence Agent, and he'd yet to see something of value that they offered. He'd advised the Viceroy to be wary of them, but as the nephew of Nil Spaar, he was sometimes questioned even by the Viceroy, a good friend of his dispite the dishonor of his family name.

On this evening, Spa'ar was trailing the Admiral. He didn't trust him, it would be some time until that could come about. He certainly didn't understand why Jian had been so drawn to the human and his organization. It was a mystery he would investigate, and ponder. If Griff and the Federation had any ill intentions for the Duskhan League, Spa'ar would be there to exspose them.
