I'm making a choice to be out of touch
Leave me be he said

And so it would come to pass that after Kamon met up with Victoria on Ossus the two would leave the planet without pause. They had nothing to keep them there; no will to stay. Kamon was still being hunted after escaping from Kessel thanks to an old friend. The only problem was, they didn't know where they should go. Most of the worlds he had known before being imprisoned are either owned by the Empire or the Black Dragons. Neither of which he really liked. He absolutely hated the Black Dragons though. Despite their claims of being something other than an Empire, Kamon knew that that was what they were. They would always be an empire.

Their first stop was a planet dangerously close to Black Dragon space but which no governmental faction held sway over. Kashyyyk was still a fre world. It had always been a goal of Kamon's to come to Kashyyyk at some point. The only problem had been that he had never had time to actually get there. Someone was either always attacking him or he was always attacking someone else. Things had been bad at the end of his reign of Tholatin. In fact, he wondered what his people had done after the Dragons had escorted him off-world to be imprisoned. Had they fought back? Probably not. They would have known better than to have done that. Too many people would have died.

Kashyyyk was relatively unbusy ship wise and the pilot was able to land the ship relatively quickly to let the passengers out. Kamon and Victoria were travelling under the guise of businessmen off to do some work. They had rented suits before they left Ossus. Neither of them had used any ID when they rented them and neither of them had any plans to return the suits. If they could help it they would never go back to Ossus. There were other things that needed to be done. First off they had to look around on Kashyyyk to see if any of Kamon's personnel had survived the invasion and gotten here. If memory served him correctly there were a handful of covert ops stationed somewhere on this planet anyways.

They passed through customs relatively quickly and headed out to walk along the platforms. By customs of people from most other planets, Kashyyyk was primitive in every aspect of the word. Their homes were in the trees out of necessity, but their homes were made of natural materials instead of something like Durasteel or some other common material used for buildings. It wasn't that big a deal to Kamon, he liked the little huts. They were of an interesting design and appealed to his aesthetic senses. Besides, they didn't plan on living here for the rest of their lives anyways. Kamon just wanted to see if he could find any Tholatinians.

"Remind me again why we're here," Victoria said as they walked along one of the platforms.

"Business."

"No. I mean the real reason why we're here. I know our cover story is that we're here on business from our "employer" seeking to obtain hunting abilities on this planet, but i know that's not why we're here."

"We'll discuss it in private. I have no wish for everyone on this planet to know what our purpose is for being here. That would defeat the point. Just trust me a little bit. I know what I'm doing and it isn't that difficult. Just be patient."

"Fine, then."

The wind picked up a little bit and the breeze felt relatively good. A few tree branches swayed in the wind and Kamon smiled. How long had it been since he had seen real trees? He had enjoyed climbing trees as a kid but that had been such a long time ago. Radon and him had always gone climbing in the trees as kids. Of course, that was before Kamon's parents had been killed by his older brother. Zerxes was cunning and evil. He knew that if he led his brother to see him kill their parents it would scar Kamon for life. That was why he had done it. No other reason.

"Well, here's the place."

Kamon looked at the building Victoria was pointing too and nodded. It was something similar to a hotel that you would find on a farming world. They walked into the building and were greeted by a droid. At first, the language it spoke was incoherent to them. After a few moments the droid changed over to Basic and Kamon proceeded to procure a suite with two bedrooms for them. The droid, after taking payment, led them down the hall to their room and let them in. He then handed each of them a key before leaving.

"I'll take the room on the left."

"Fine with me."

The room on the left bright. It's windows opened up to clear sky. The bed was hand carved with the design of a tree in mind. Otherwise the room waswell designed to keep anyone interested with a revolving galaxy map on the ceiling. Setting his bag down on the floor to the left of the door, he walked over and looked out the window. There was the strange feeling of someone watching him, but he couldn't place it because there wasn't anyone out there.

"Kamon you want dinner?" Victoria had stuck her head in the room and was looking at him.

"No thanks. I think I'll just hit the sack a little bit early. I'm really tired."

"Alright. Tomorrow morning we'll talk."

Kamon nodded and she left, closing the door behind her. Removing his outer clothing, Kamon lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. There was one place in particular that Kamon's eyes remained and slowly a smile donned his face. He knew where Victoria and him would end up going. As he fell asleep, the smile never left his face. That place he had seen would be the perfect spot for them to hole up until the moment to strike presented itself. Kamon still harbored a grudge of the Black Dragons that would never go away. He just needed time.

The world is a drought when out of love
Please come back to us
You're all of the above

Kamon's dreams were plagued with visions of the past. First came his life on Ossus as a padawan to Xylon Hexyra. Master Hexyra had been the nicest Master Kamon had ever had except for Master Cole. Cole had become one of Kamon's closest friends even though Kamon had left the Jedi Order for the Rogues. Master Cole had come to the Tholatin Republic and worked right alongside Kamon for much of the governments existance in this galaxy. When Master Hexyra died, it had been Corran Horn that Kamon was travelling with at the time. They had been on a mission to Hapes to speak with the Hapan Prince when Kamon felt his ties to his Master severed. Then everything had fallen on Gash.

The decline of the Rogue Jedi Order had already started before Kamon's first Rogue Master had died. The Order was barely gaining any new padawans and the one's they had gotten, like Kamon, were not worth having. Why they had let Kamon train was a mystery even to himself. Back on track, after Kamon's Master died, Searthen "Gash" Jiren had taken over as Kamon's Master until he was given the rank of Knight which he currently still holds. It had been up to Kamon after that to go about training himself some more which he had done overtime. He believed his untested lightsaber dueling skills were quite good. But that meant nothing with the trials he had had ahead of him.

First there were his mistakes with Arai Heishi, Whisper, Syren, and finally with Katie Toran. Yes, he had married Katie and produced twin children, but she had divorced him and left the kids to him. Andraes had run off at the age of 12 never to be seen again and Amarie had gone missing after Tholatin fell from what Kamon had gathered. Despite strong alliances to major factions throughout the galaxy, The Tholatin Republic had crumbled under the onslaught of factions like the Black Dragon Empire, Farfalen, and the Empire. All of the work he had put into place around that government had gone to waste right in front of him. That was why he had allowed himself to be captured on Tholatin. There was nothing left for him and he had no will to sacrafice the lives of his people anymore.

His imprisonment on Kessel could not have come at a better time. Being a thirty-five year old man with two missing sixteen year old kids, no home, and people beating the shit out of him to get him to talk had changed him in many ways. His emotional state was more under his control now. His fighting style had changed since his release at the hands of Dolash. No longer would he be taken advantage of. No longer would he watch people die because of his misjudgements. No longer would the Black Dragon Empire get away the crimes they commit. They might not pay for them anytime soon, but the crimes they committed would be avenged.

He was in the middle of a dream about the events surrounding the attack on Ossus by Grand Admiral Thrawn when the Force suddenly drew him out of his sleep and alerted him to a presence at the window. Drawing on the Force, he felt the being without giving himself away. He was lucky. It was a man, familiar even, and he was no Force user so he hadn't felt the scan Kamon had given him. The window creaked open and the black clad man gently fell into the room.

"You could have knocked, Atrus."

The man was caught off guard by Kamon's comments and Kamon pulled his pants on underneath the covers before clamboring out of the bed.

"I am sorry, my Prince."

"No longer call me by that title. I am no Prince. Tholatin is gone from the Republic, likely for good. I am simply a Rogue Jedi Knight with a mission of death."

"As you wish."

"How many of us made it here before the planet fell?"

"Not many. The enemy's blockade was a thorough one. When ships got through they quickly moved to bottle up that opening. Many of our people got trapped and were forced back onto Tholatin or died trying to escape. The few that did make it are mostly civilians looking for a place to start anew. A few soldiers intermixed with them, though."

Kamon nodded.

"How many of your squad still remain?"

"All of us. We are loyal to you. Never would we give ourselves up or desert because of outside pressures. Our forces may have been criticezed by other governments, due to unfounded ideas, but we are the most loyal fighting force in the entire galaxy. We're good at what we do and loyal to the death."

A grin donned his face as he looked at Kamon.

"I wasn't sure it was you at first. I saw you in the window not long ago. Every time a new ship comes in with lots of people on it we check it out. Never know when some straggling Tholatinians might arrive. A few have come through here from the rim having not known that Tholatin had fallen. They stopped here, but we sent them on to a Coalition world. Everyone remaining here is a soldier of some sort."

"That might be for the best. When I leavve Kashyyyk, I want all of you to come with us. The war with BDE will not be over so long as I draw breath."

"We will follow you to the end," Atrus said as he placed his closed fist over his heart in salute.

"Wear are you holed up?"

"We live in the trees out there. It is dangerous, but we all know how to use a weapon well enough to sruvive."

"When the time comes I will come for you."

Atrus simply nodded.

"Go back and alert your men to the plan. It'll be a day at least before we leave. I feel something is going to happen here. My first test since my escape. You must be ready to move quickly."

The man nodded again and moved back to the window.

"Oh, and Atrus?"

"Yes?"

"May the Force be with you."

"Same to you, my Prince."

He slipped from view below the windowsill and Kamon walked over to close the window. It was cold, dark and smelled of fear. Something, or someone, was coming for him. Word had spread quickly. Already they hunted him with lethal force. Tomorrow would bring for him ill tidings. Tomorrow, the day on which he would have to complete his masquerade on the planet. Sitting down beneath the window, he crossed his legs into a meditation form and closed his eyes. His breathing slowed, his heart slowed, and Kamon entered the most highly relaxed state a Jedi could achieve. How well this rested him would determine the outcome of the next day, and tough it would be.

Nobody knew her name, and that was the way that she prefered it. Not that it really mattered really, considering how chance brought her to this place.

If she could remember it, that is.

The young woman seemed to have a regal grace to her, as if she were trained from an early age to be something that she never became anyways. Or perhaps she was some lost senator's child, or maybe dancer.

Too many questions presented itself, and the one in question wasn't one to talk much, if at all. It was as if she was afraid to do so. She also seemed almost hermit-like in nature, as if afraid of too much contact with others. The only times she seemed to appear was to have something to eat once every few days, then dissapear again.

In a word, she was a ghost, and to herself, she felt as though she were dead already. It was only a matter of time before that would ever happen, or if there was gonna be something to happen to her to bring her back to life again.

No, you're not the first to fall apart
But always the first one to complain
You better get careful or you'll compromise everything you are

The day had gone smoothly as far as going about setting up hunting rights for a non-existant business. The Wookies would never know anything about it, but it provided an out in case Kamon and anyone else needed to hide out on Kashyyyk at some point. He hoped that it would never come to that, though. If things went right they would never have to hide out anywhere except for their next destination. Hopefully they wouldn't have to hide out there for very long either. Knowing that they would only made him realize that it was going to be a long rest of his life. When he wasn't hiding he would have to find ways to hurt the Dragons. They deserved anything that he could do to them.

"That was quick and painless."

"Indeed it was. I thought they would put up more resistance to our request than that."

"Well, you did use the old mind trick on them to get them to finally agree to it after you threw one of them through a window."

Kamon smiled. "Yeah, well, he was getting a little bit too friendly."

"Hey I never said..."

Kamon's head whipped around to look right at the hotel where they were staying. His ears picked up the sounds of screaming. Not just screaming because of being amused or anything of that nature. The screams were screams of terror and pain. He looked over to see Victoria doubled over in pain and no immediately that something tragically bad was going on back at that hotel. She was more sensitive to death than he was. His ears were better at hearing things than hers were. Put two and two together and you've got a major problem ahead. Kamon ran to the door.

What he saw almost made him sick right then and there. There were a multitude of dead bodies laying all over the floor. Heads were laying in some places, arms in others. Some people were missing the lower half of their bodies. Others were hacked to shreads. It was the work of a lightsaber, no mistake of that. Nothing else would make such an easy mess so quickly. Whoever had done this was either a Force user or had a saber from somewhere. He looked down to find his favorite lightsaber gripped tightly in his hand. It was the same one Master Jiren had given him when Kamon had first married. At the flick of a button, the white blade hummed to life and Kamon stepped forward to walk down the hall.

Every room held more bodies. When he came to the last room, the suite he and Victoria occupied, the door was standing open and there were a single pair of bloody footprints leading into the room. Stepping square with the door, he had his lightsaber up in case he needed to block a blaster bolt. He knew he wouldn't, but there was still that chance. There, seated facing the door, he got his first view of a very, very dangerous Bounty Hunter. The man has a lightsaber laying in his lap and he was looking right at Kamon with a smirk on his face of arrogance. Well-founded arrogance, however.

"Ahh, Kamon. How nice of you to join me. I admit, I was surprised you chose to land on Kashyyyk. Would you mind explaining that one to me?"

Kamon just stared at the man.

"Ok. I see how it is. No talking until the end, eh? Well, I suppose you can answer me right before I kill you then."

The next thing Kamon knew, the man was flying right at him, a blue saber swinging down towards Kamon's head. The man was fast, but Kamon was faster. His white blade intercepted the blue blade with lightning speed and Kamon spun away back down the hall. It was too crowded in here for a fight. They needed bigger spaces. Kamon needed bigger spaces. The man continued to press his attacks onto Kamon and Kamon continued to parry. They made it into the foyer with all of the bodies, but Kamon kept backing until he was outside of the building and then he back-flipped down to the platform.

"You killed all of those people in cold-blood, only because you wanted me."

"Absolutely," the man said as he slowly walked down the steps towards Kamon. "I enjoyed every second of their screams."

The man jumped down towards Kamon, faked an ovherhead, and sliced in on Kamon's left. Kamon, unfooled and deeply in tune with the Force, parried and kicked the man in the stomach sending him tumbling backwards. The man stood up and started to laugh.

"Not bad. Better than the last of your kind that I killed." He saw Kamon's face and continued. "Oh yes. How do you think I got this lightsaber? The last one died quickly."

The man charged right at Kamon and Kamon flipped directly over the man and swung backwards. The Hunter's lightsaber was parallel to his spine and blacked Kamon's attack. He's good. Kamon rolled to his right, dipped down and brought his saber straight in, the blue blade blocked his white blade and Kamon rolled back to his left in time to save himself from being cleaved in half. He rbought his lightsaber up so the point was above his head and both of his hands grasped it firmly. The Bounty Hunter staid back and just watched Kamon for a little bit.

"It ends now, Bounty Hunter. I will not go with you, I will not allow you to kill again."

Kamon's hand flashed forward off of his saber and a bolt of energy lanced out and struck the man in the shoulder. While he was distracted, Kamon used the force to imbue him with extra speed and flashed forward while swinging his saber from high and to the right, to low and to the left. The white blade cleaved the man in half from the shoulder to the hip and Kamon used the Force to push the body off the edge of the platform. His saber disengaged and Kamon fell to all fours panting. He hadn't realized he was so out of shape. Kessel had really taken a toll on him. He must not have been over it yet. I really have to avoid these confrontations.

It was on one of those treks for food when she felt a terrible, shrieking pain. It was one of those that came without warning, and always seemed to pop up whenever trouble was so close to her.

She didn't like this pain, for it would not stop till she found the source of the trouble and did something about it. Why did she have this? What did do to deserve it?

A normal person could've blamed her pain due to her habbit of only eating when absolutely necessary, but this pain was too swift, too sudden. If she stood still for a moment, she could almost swear that she could hear screams within her skull as well.

The only thing was she wasn't standing still, running till another sharp pain forced her to a sudden stop. Her eyes, when not squinting with the pain within her own head, was the only thing searching and questing forward.

What she saw, and what she heard with her own ears was shocking, the screams now real. She wanted to move forward to do something, anything, but something told her to wait.

But, the question was, for what? What was she waiting in the shadows of one of the trees for?

The next sounds that greeted her made her own breathe catch in her throat. Humming and clashing...something about the sounds that those weapons made as they made contact with each other made her head spin.

She had one of those herself, yet, she couldn't recall how she acquired it. Did she construct it? Did she steal it from somebody else? It was one of the many things that the young woman either couldn't or wouldn't recall.

As the combat came to a dramatic close, with the survivor simply calapsing to catch his breathe, she was finally free to go to the man. Was this why she waited? Even the young woman wasn't for sure.

Bending down next to him, her hand shook as it moved in a kind of calming, reasuring gesture. Even she wasn't quite sure what to say to him.

"Now that the real villian is gone, the blame for all this will inevitably shift to you. Perhaps....to move elsewhere....is recommended?"

Even for a person of few words had something to say.

Leave me here in my stark raving sick sad little world

His breathing returned to normal, however slowly. That had been the toughest thing he had done since getting out of the prison on Kessel. The strength that had filled him during the battle was completely gone. It was going to take him a few minutes just to be able to stand himself up from the spot where he was on the ground. He heard footsteps approaching, and assumed they were Victoria's, but when he saw them he knew they weren't. The voice was female though, and sounded familiar. Certain octaves sounded like someone he knew. Looking up, he immediately recognized the face he saw and recoiled in fright and surprise. It can't be her! The girl knelt there looked exactly like his daughter, only she had the features of an 18 year old girl and carried herself like someone of importance.

"Amarie....?"

The word barely escaped his mouth, but he knew that even though she was almost five yards from him that she would hear it. He was almost a hundred percent positive that the girl he was looking at was indeed his daughter. She had only been 16 when Kamon had been taken prisoner on Tholatin. Where she had been at the time was a mystery to Kamon. When they rounded up all of the royalty she had not been one of the people that had been in attendance. Kamon could only hope that she had somehow escaped by stowing away on some ship. Otherwise she was in league with the enemy or something. Maybe she had been smart enough to leave when the enemy first showed up. Who knows.

It can't be her. I must be hallucinating. He could see Victoria moving towards them, but his eyes were focues squarely on the girl knelt before him. If it was indeed her she had turned out exactly like her mother. Shapely figure, gorgeous facial features, and that air of royalty. Kamon had never fit into those categories, but Kate had always fit into these categories with ease. That line of thinking was bringing back paifnul memories and he quickly shut it out of his mind. There was only one thing holding his attention right now.

"It can't be you..."

Upon hearing her speak, he had looked up at her, reacting as if he saw a ghost, his own mouth whispering a name as if it were a question.

It was just a name...a series of letters grouped together to form a specific sound, yet something in the way he had said it had struck a chord within her, as if something about it was familiar.

The issue of who she was, the young woman pushed away from her mind for so long, that the very utterance of a name strangely familiar was a shock to her senses. Yet, the man seemed familiar, so familiar that it was like a word trapped on the end of her tongue unable to escape.

His every feature, even his voice appeared to be from a stranger, but was he a stranger? Was he an old friend, long forgotten? Or...somebody closer?

There was just too many questions, and they were, by no certain terms in a place that wasn't exactly secure enough to figure out answers. They had to move, before they lost the opportunity the pause in time was lost.

"I wouldn't know. We need to move... to someplace safe. Then maybe... we can answer those questions."

The world is a joke when out of love
Please come back to us
You're all of the above

His eyes were locked onto hers with an intensity that he thought he had lost since being on Kessel. This had to be her. But how was it she didn't know who she was? Was it possible she had forgotten everything in two years of being in hiding from the Dragon's? She had to have pushed everything to the back of her mind or something. Kamon didn't understand it. Why would she want to forget who she was and that he was her father? Somewhere inside of her she still knew, Kamon could tell that just by reading her. She still had a strong touch on the Force too. She mentioned getting out of here and Kamon nodded. That was probably a good idea. He ran back inside real quick and grabbed his case which held his robes and other saber. Then he joined her outside.

"I hope you have an idea of where we should go. Oh wait, I do. Follow me."

Kamon led Victoria and Amarie towards the end of the platform. Looking around the make sure that no one was looking towards them yet, he imbued his legs with the Force and jumped. The air rushed by around him and he almost missed the next branch down. Landing though, he looked up and motioned for them to follow him before leading them down the branch where he jumped to another branch. They moved through the trees for a little bit before someone popped up in front of him.

"Identify yourself."

"At ease, soldier. I'm Kamon Vondiranach."

"Yeah and I'm the Emperor."

"It's really him, Archimedes," Atrus said as he stepped out of another bush. "I didn't know you would be coming this soon."

"Neither did I. There was an altercation in which I happened to kill someone. Need to lay low for a little bit."

"Well, join us around the circle."

Motioning for the others to follow him, Kamon folled Atrus for a few meters where he found a bunch of soldiers seated around a small heater. They looked up and immediately crossed their arms across their chests at the sight of him. Kamon motioned for them to be at ease and then took a seat far away from the others so that he and Amarie could talk. Hopefully he could get her to remember who she was and then who he was. It was killing him that she had pushed him out of her mind so soon. She had to have known he would get out at some time. Though, he almost didn't.

The answer to his question hurt him, nearly hard to see in his eyes, but it was there just the same. It was as if he had this ability to have a part of him be able to retreat to a part of him where nobody could touch it. Out of all the people she had encountered, he was the only one who seemed to be able to do that...to keep what he felt hidden deep inside of him.

If he hadn't known her like he seemed to, would he have less of a reaction to her than he had? Again, she didn't know, and for once, she wished that she didn't have so many questions, so many unknowns rolling about in her mind. It was as if she cut herself off from things that she knew were there, but were hidden down deep.

It was as if in away, they were both prisoners of their own minds. It wasn't normal to not have so much to read off the surface. It was as if they were both either born with a special talent to hide so much, or their minds were wounded by a severe tramatic event.

Reguardless of what she thought about the matter, there was still the issue of finding a safe haven, a place where the pair of them wouldn't have to worry about anybody quick to pounce on them, to throw them into prison without a chance to try and explain what had truely happened. In such out of the way places like Kashyyyk, justice was rather hard to comeby, and Wookie anger was not something one really wished to see.

Finding herself at the edge of that platform with the man looking back up at her, motioning at her to jump, a part of her held some fear within her. It was a good distance down to that branch, yet, that hidden part of her told her she could make it. There was just something about him that told her that she could trust him, perhaps she always did. It was only a matter of time before she would find out why that was the case.

So, as she stepped of the ledge, it was a very real test of faith, of trust, letting what it was that whispered at her, what tugged her in his direction guide her to his branch, her eyes momentarily going wide as she nearly lost her footing, giving him a shaky smile as she joked that she was a little rusty. It didn't take long before that shakey control from lack of use permitted her to move a gradually growing certainty and grace.

The soldiers's reaction to him seemed strangely puzzling, as if he was once somebody of importance, a person whom once held a great deal of power and respect. Come to think of it, they seemed to stiffen at the sight of her as well, as if they too, had known her. For some reason, this didn't seem to alarm her at all, which also puzzled her.

"Those soldiers...they reacted the same way to both of us, as if we're connected...of equal importance. I'm not entirely sure why I'm not even alarmed by that." she murmured, looking past him to the group she had spoken of, a puzzled look clear to see on her face.

Just who was he, or, more importantly, who was she...and what was so special about her anyway?

No, you're not the first to fall apart
But always the first one to complain
You better get careful or you'll compromise everything you are

Kamon nodded.

"And well they should treat us the same. You are their princess, you are my daughter, I am their Prince. I don't know how you could have forgotten all of that already."

It just didn't make sense. Sure he had been on Kessel for almost two years, sure he had been out of touch with her for a very long time, sure she had been in hiding from the same people that Kamon desperately wanted to destroy, but why would she push him and her past out of her mind like this? It made no sense to him and he was having trouble trying to figure out her reasoning behind it. Perhaps she had felt neglected or something, he didn't know. Something had caused this 18 year old woman, who had only been 16 at the time, to decide that remembering her father was too painful and that the best thing to do would be to push him from her mind. Or maybe it was just a way of her keeping herself hidden.

"You were born 18 years ago a few months after your mother and I got married. A couple of months after you were born, your mother and I got divorced. You have a twin brother named Andraes who hasn't been seen for the past 5 years. You are the princess of the planet Tholatin. Is any of this ringing a bell?"

He had to jog her memory some how. It was the only way that he could get her to remember again who she really was and why she was that person. It was just a coincidence that he had run into her hear, but he did not want to lose her after finding her again. Despite appearances, not to mention the fact that he let himself be captured by enemy forces, he was a loving father and couldn't think of letting anything happen to his daughter. The two had been pretty well bonded before Kamon had been imprisoned on Kessel. It irked him that she would let that bond slip away into nothingness. There must have been something he had done to make her mad at him.

"Ok, if that doesn't help, you havea birthmark on your right upper arm in the shape of a crescent moon. Your brother had an identical one. Please... I know the Amarie that is my daughter is inside of you somewhere."
