OOC: Sapuni, a made up planet, will be taken by NGC in this thread. The asteroid belt surrounding it may be taken as well, if I have enough words.
IC:
The past, two months after Farquak and Farquak Junior were surrendered to TNO.
J’apol sat in his office, looking at reports of Imperial troop strengths on Farquak and Farquak Junior. He had been the leader of the Farquak Empire after Crinium had been captured. While he had failed to regain the system, he know felt that he had a chance to win. He quickly turned to his aide, an old supporter of the Farquak Empire, unhappy with the Empire’s control over the planet.
“The Empire has grown lax in its control of this system. They forgot that the citizens do not want to be part of the Empire, and that they want to be independent. The Farquak Empire will grow once more. The time to act is upon is. Activate the teams. The rebellion will start again!”
The Farquak Empire had a lot of experience fighting using guerrilla warfare tactics, and causing lots of damage to an enemy, using as little force as possible. After peace had been made with the Cren Alliance, crack teams of Farquak Empire troops had been placed around the world, with safe houses, and lots of munitions. Hidden bases were spread across the planet and Farquak Junior, full of Rapier Fighters, Saber Assault Bombers and ground vehicles. Spread in hidden underwater bases on Farquak were numerous subs, some with missiles capable of hitting targets over the horizon, on-land. The majority of the land bases were in the countries of Can'd'any and Dern'lya, the most militaristic countries, and major supporters of the Farquak Empire. The valleys of the continent Dor also had numerous bases. The underwater bases were spread across the world. The Cren had been waiting for the chance to rebel once more for a long time, and with J’apol’s activation order, that time was upon them.
<O:p
At the hidden base 521, on Can’d’any, the activation order came in.<O:p></O:p>
“General, we have orders. J’apol feels that it is time to rise up, and restart the fire of rebellion. We are to destroy the Imperial garrison, number 21, by any means possible.”
“I need all my staff in the command room immediately. We need a plan.”
Within five minutes the staff had met, and ideas were flying.
“We can use the Saber Assault Bombers and just bomb it to hell.”
“Too likely that this base will be located when the bombers are launched.”
“We could call in a base with some subs, and they could use long-range missiles to destroy it.”
“No, too likely that the subs would be found and destroyed, plus J’apol was quite clear that lots of other bases are getting orders to, so we should proceed with only the means that we have available to us.”
“I have an idea.”
“What is it?”
“I know an airspeeder and landspeeder repair shop. We have numerous tow speeders at our disposal. All we have to do is load up an airspeeder, on of the ones we have here at the base, with explosives, set it up so the forward drive will cut out, and then call in my repair shop. We use a tow speeder to pull it back to my shop, but the connection is severed, do to mechanical problems, and the airspeeder plummets straight into the base, exploding, and causing severe damage. We can try to aim it at the hangar. Then some other landspeeders or airspeeders loaded with explosives, set on autopilot can go in and finish of the rest of the base.”
“That could work. Lets get it set up. We are to attack at precisely 1800, two days from now.”
Numerous landspeeders and airspeeders were set up for the mission. Also, some gravtrucks were going to be used.
At Base 395, a similar message had come in.
“Men, here is the mission. We are to destroy five different sensor stations along the coast of Par. I want Missile Subs 1 through 5 to take them out. One missile each should be enough. Does everyone understand?”
“Yes sir.”
“Good. The mission goes off at 1800, Can'd'any time, two days from now.”
Inside Base 476, in Dern’lya, a message came in.
“We have been designated with the mission of destroying a ring of 5 sensor stations. The maps in front of you show their positions, our position, and positions of various military gear around them. What do you think we should do?”
“Three of the sites are within range of this missile turret right here. If we get into it, three shots would be all that was needed to take down those three. When we leave we can destroy the turret on our way out, for a bit more damage. At the other two there is a common route for landspeeders not far away. We drop off two teams of 4 men, armed with chip missile launchers, and the sites are gone.”
“Excellent plan. The mission will go off two days from now, at 1800 Can'd'any time.”
The meeting was finished, and crews went off to prepare for the mission.
Inside Base 048, located on Dor the final team was being briefed about its mission.
Colonel Saunders stood in front of a holographic map, and addressed his men.
“We are going after a supply convoy two days from now. It is supposed to pass through this valley at approximately 1800 Can'd'any time. We will have troops positioned along both sides, hidden, with chip missile launchers, as well as others with light repeating blasters. We take down the convoy, and then retreat.”
“Wouldn’t it be better to create a roadblock and attempt to capture the convoy?”
“Yes it would, but because we aren’t sure exactly when the convoy will pass, we wouldn’t want to stop civilians, which would then turn around and alert the authorities. That would get the convoy to change its course, and we wouldn’t even be able to destroy it.”
“I understand.”
“You will be positioned there at 1700 Can'd'any time, just after a patrol is supposed to go through the sector. Destroy the convoy, and retreat as soon as possible. If they have air protection, try to take it out before getting the convoy, but if the convoy is to heavily defended, let it pass and get out of there. We don’t expect it to be heavily defended; they have numerous other convoys spread across the world at the same time.”
The troops went off to prepare for the assault.
J’apol smiled as he received confirmation from his subordinates.
Excellent. The Empire has 2 more days of peace. Then havoc will be unleashed. The time to act is now, and act we will. The fire of rebellion has finally been rekindled. The Farquak Empire will rise up once more!
Two days later, at 1700 Can'd'any time, the troops were moving out.
At Base 521, the commander of the base was getting the first reports of the mission starting.
“General, the airspeeder has reported its accident. The tow speeder is on the way.”
“Excellent. 10 minutes for it to get there, 10 minutes to get the tow set up, and then 40 minutes of travel. That will get the airspeeder right where we want it. The base commanders won’t know what hit them.”
At 395 reports were coming in from the subs.
“Sir the subs are almost in position. They are going through a very circular route to get to the target, so that the location of the base won’t be found. They expect to be within firing range in about 50 minutes.”
“Make sure they know not to fire until 1800 Can'd'any time.”
“Yes sir.”
At Base 476, in Dern’lya, the reports were coming in from the strike teams, all of them good.
“Sir, the strike time assigned to take-over the missile turret is almost in position, they are hiking in as we speak. They will commence their attack 15 minutes before 1800. By 1800 Can’d’any time they will have taken the turret and will be firing at the sensor dishes.”
“What about the other teams?”
“They are currently hiking into their targets now.”
“Excellent.”
Inside the final base, Base 048, located on Dor, the reports were good.
“The troops are at their specified locations, on either side of the valley, and are ready for the convoy.”
“What about the convoy?”
“Scouts have reported that it seems to be on schedule and following it’s planned route.”
“Good. Notify me immediately in anything comes up.”
It was 15 minutes to 1800 Can’d’any time, and the attack began on Dern’lya.
The squad of 20 troops had the missile turret surrounded, and were hidden in the bushes. The troops quickly set up com and sensor jammers, which would self-destruct after 20 minutes, by which time they expected to be out of the immediate vicinity. Then, blasters set to kill, power packs fully charged, replacement packs ready, and demolitions ready, along with quite a few stun and concussion grenades ready, the attack began. Two snipers quickly aimed their guns at the 2 guards standing outside the door of the base, and shot them in the head. Then the troops charged towards the door. It was locked when they got there, but that wouldn’t stop them. A shaped charge was placed on the door, and detonated. The lock was destroyed, and the troops moved into the missile turret.
On Can’d’any the tow speeder and airspeeder were approaching the garrison on their way back to the repair shop. They would suffer their ‘malfunction’ soon.
On Dor the convoy was almost within range, and the troops loaded their chip missile launchers. The convoy would be wiped out momentarily.
Finally, off the coast of Par the subs were almost within range of their targets, 5 sensor stations…

Imperial Occupation Headquarters
Stationed twenty miles outside Farquak Capital City.
Major Bassk turned towards the sound of steps running towards him. His aide, an excitable fellow was trying to navigate the greenhouse Bassk reflected in. He did not care for the plantlife within the greenhouse but had servants to the work. Still, the area offered an excellent environment to think.
Think about how he hated the Sector Commodore in assigning him dominion over this hind-end of the galaxy.
Even his petition to change the name from Farquak to Bassk's World had failed. He hated Farquak and Farquak Jr. and for the the thousandth time wished Grand Moff Tarkin and his deathstar were still around.
"Major!"
"Easy Sem, you disturb the.."
"There is trouble on the mainland!" he gasped out and the Major turned, more irritated at the interruption than the news.
"There is always trouble on the mainland. We do not have garrisons in every city as you well know. Most of the legion is here and we maintain control through orbital satellites.
You know this."
"The prison facility may be in danger..."
"The prison facility is rigged to explode. All I need to do is send the signal and "boom!", no more freeloading mouths to feed."
Major Bassk returned to his thoughts. "No, there is nothing but the usual riffraff and our soldiers are more than a match for anyone trying to extend their anarchy our way."
The aide's eyes widened but he said nothing.

On Dern'lya the troops rushed through the missile turret. Working in five groups of four people they spread throughout the missile turret. They would reunite again outside of the control room. Using infared goggles and thermal scanners they looked through walls around corners, locating enemy troops before they could shoot them. They would then quickly move around the corner and shoot them, or toss a stun grenade around the corner to take them out of the picture. The guards and workers were quickly taken out, and the troops met up outside the control room. They did not need to speak aloud their plan, they had already discussed it numerous times in briefings and planning sessions. Five Cren moved to the doors on the far side of the control room, and then opened fire with their blasters on the door and the wall around it. While this would eventually make a hole in the wall, it was not meant to succeed, only act a a distraction for the enemy troops and make a lot of noise. On the other side of the control room, where the vast majority of the troops were, the main assault was set in motion. One Cren moved forward, and took out a shaped charge. Another took out a sound dampener, the best money could buy, and turned it up to maximum. The Cren blew the charges, and a small hole was opened up in the wall. The vast majority of the sound was removed by the sound dampener, and the rest was not heard do to the sound of the blasters firing. The Cren who had planted the charge backed away, and another moved forward. He quickly placed 3 stun grenades on the far side of the wall, in the control room, and rolled them towards the troops who were hidding behind blasterproof desks, which they had obviously moved there, to provide some cover when the Cren broke into the room through the wall they were firing on. These grenades quickly went of, stunning the troops inside the control room. At the sound of the explosions, the troops stopped firing, and the Cren used vibro-blades to widen the hole they had made, getting into the control room. It was precisely 1755.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

<o:p></o:p>
The troops moved off and set up charges around the base before moving out. The slicer came out of the building at exactly 1759. 1 minute after that, the program that he had put into the computer went into effect. The missile turret oriented itself to fire at the first sensor station. Once the firsty missile was launched, it turned to the next sensor station and fired a missile out of its second tub, and then turned to the third sensor station and fired out of its third tube. The troops, seeing their job was done, quickly retreated out of the area to the highway where their pickup was.<o:p></o:p>

The missiles were were quickly fired from their tubes and quickly flew to the sensor stations, hitting them, exploding and destroying them. Then the subs went back below the surface, and seperated, each captain running at full speed until he was far away from the continent, and then to try and find a thermal layer for them to hid from the sonars that might follow them...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
On Can'd'any it was 1759, and the towspeeder had just suffered its 'malfunction'. The speeder quickly dropped down towards the Imperial garrison, and hit the main hangar at precisely 1800. This destroyed the roof. Then numerous more airspeeders and landspeeders full of explosives, set on auto-pilot, came over the ridges and hills around the garrison, and flew into the walls, and main complex. Once carefully aimed airspeeder crashed down into the hangar, hitting a TIE fighter, and exploding. Then the TIE fighters exploded down the line, one after another, after another. Finally a bit of flaming shrapnel punctured a gas container, and an enormous explosion shook the garrison, and destroyed the hangar. More airspeeders came in and soon there garrison was a twisted mass of metal, duracrete and wrecked speeders.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
At 1755 the convoy drew within range of the first chip missile launchers, but the troops did not fire. At the front and rear of the convoy were a pair of Chariot Light Assault Vehicles, and spread along the sides were 008 Heavy Landspeeders. In the center were the transports themselves. Once the convoy had moved along so that every missile launcher could fire at a target, the troops started the attack. Missiles flew from launchers spread all around the valley. The first volley did not hit any transports, instead each Chariot LAV and 008 Heavy Landspeeder was hit by numerous chip missiles. The transports, realizing they were trapped, and deprived of their heavy cover, did not stop. They sped up, trying to get closer to their destination, an Imperial garrison, where they hoped the commander would be scrambling TIEs to come and help them. Four transports stopped, and stormtroopers burst out of them, moving forward, climbing up the sides of the valley. The chip missile troops ignored these stormtroopers, and fired another volley of missiles, this time at the lead transports, the transports that had released stormtroopers and other transports that were slowing down. The purpose of hitting the lead transports was to block off the road with broken transports. This worked perfectly. The transports which were slowing down probably contained troops, which were going to be dropped off, and the transports which had released troops might contain some more. Snipers situated in the top of the hills were the first to fire at the stormtroopers, taking out lots of them. Then the troops with light repeating blasters, which could fire farther, more accurately than blaster rifles, started firing on the enemy troops, scattering them. Other troops armed with blaster rifles waited for the troops to get closer to fire. The chip missile troops were purposely situated above the troops with light repeating blasters and blaster rifles, so they would have more defence. A third volley went out, destroying the last of the transports. Then the chip missile troops began to retreat up to the snipers. Across the valley Farquak Empire troops retreated slowly, but still firing. They planted mines, pressure activated grenades, and then light fires in the woods as they retreated, all which stopped the stormtroopers from effectively following them. They reached their transports and then flew away.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
J'apol smiled as the reports came in. Four attacks had been carried out against the Imperials, on four different continents, at the same time. Propaganda would be spread around the planet, and people would become swayed by the idea. Most people, even those who did not support the ideas of the Farquak Empire, did not like the Imperials ruling over them. The governor ignored them, and had even tried to change the name of the planet, numerous times. People would flock to the rebellion, and strike out against the Imperials. Perhaps other bands of rebels would be formed, and not all the strikes would have to be carried out by his troops. That was a day that he looked forward to. Until then, he would just have to continue to attack the Imperials...

Three months before present time, the attacks had been continued, and had increased in frequency. However, Saber Assault Bombers and Rapier fighters had not yet been used. While attacks on Farquak had been frequent, no attacks had happened on Farquak Junior yet. Also, J'apol knew that they would never achieve their goals unless they could begin to produce more ships and weapons. Also, they would need ships larger than starfighters to defeat the Imperial orbital installations. While he had been rebelling against the so-called Cren Alliance, his scouts had found another planet, named Sapuni, with an asteroid belt, Sapuni Asteroid Belt, both inhabited by Cren. The Cren on Sapuni were called the Sapuni Alliance, governed by the Planetary Council, made up of 10 people, elected by the people of Sapuni. The two groups had allied together, and the scouts had given them numerous designs, although mostly older ones, such as Marauder Corvettes, Dreadnaughts and Victory Star Destroyers. Also, they were given the plans to the Battle Horn Transports, modified to be able to carry fighters. For fighters they were given the plans for Z-95 Headhunters. J'apol had wanted to make sure that if they chose to betray him they wouldn't have the latest technology. Unfortunately the alliance hadn't been made early enough, and the Sapuni Cren hadn't had time to produce a fleet large enough to help the Farquak Empire. However, by now they would probably have a huge fleet. All he needed to do was to go there, and then he would have control of a fleet able to squash the small Imperial presence in the system. But first, he was waiting for the latest news about the current attacks. This one would change the trend of not using fighters as air support, and not attacking Farquak Junior.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
On Dor another convoy was moving through the valley. Security had been beefed up with twice as many escorts, and troops had found out form experience there were more troop transports, but still it wasn't a very difficult challenge to destroy the convoys. But the goal was not to destroy the convoy. The goal was to capture it. When the lead and rear Chariot LAVs were within range, the troops launched a chip missile at each of them, blocking off most of the road going forward and back. Chip missiles were also launched at the 008 Heavy Landspeeders. Then on either side of the valley an avalanche of rocks, dirt and logs were pushed down in front and behind the convoy, trapping them. The stormtroopers burst from their transports, and race up to attack the troops, as they always did. However, this time the Farquak Empire troops were made up of more troops with light repeating blasters and blaster rifles then before, and less with chip missile launchers. Also, the troops had planted numerous anti-personal mines and grenades, to prevent the stormtroopers from getting to them. As they charge, the grenades and personal mines went off, wiping out whole companies. Chip missiles were blind-fired into the mass of troops, and in front of them, in the forest. With a wall of flaming preventing the stormtroopers from going straight forward to get to the troops, the majority of the Farquak Empire troops carrying light repeating blasters and blaster rifles moved to the front and back of the convoy. Snipers, chip missile troops, and a few troops with light repeating blasters continued to fire on the stormtroopers. The Farquak Empire troops had just reached the path where the avalanches had gone through, where there wasn't any fire, when a surprise for both sides came. A very large bulk freighter above the troops exploded. Rapier Fighters and Saber Assault Bombers came pouring out of the bulk freighter. This was a special surprise ochastrated by J'apol. The Rapier Fighters held back, and the Saber Assault Bombers dived down, using their ion cannosn to disable the transports. Then they quickly flew a terrain-following path through the valley, and numerous other valleys, to the Imperial garrison that the convoy was destined for. The Rapier fighters followed them, but used a different path. There they would destroy it. The Farquak Empire troops rushed down the path made by the avalanche, and quickly spread out behind the avalanche, shooting at the stormtroopers that were now coming to assault them. A fierce firefight started. Stormtroopers could protect themselves against the snipers, or against the troops hiding behind the avalanche debris, but not both. They quickly moved forward, going from one transport to the next, all the while being hit by the Farquak Empire troops. The troops at the avalanche behind the convoy also moved forward, securing disabled transports. Once the stormtroopers charged the front avalanche, the troops there threw grenades into the mass of troops, and fired madly. Troops equipped with chip missile launchers on the hill fired into the center of the formation, killing numerous troops with each missile. Snipers on each side of the valley continued to fire at the stormtroopers, killing many of them Then the troops that had been securing transports moved in and started shooting the stormtroopers. They had them in a four-way cross fire. Soon they would all be wiped out...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Meanwhile, a second bulk freighter was coming out of hyperspace. This one was the same size as the one that had exploded over the valley. However this one was only half full. It quickly deployed its numerous Rapier Fighters, while Saber Assault Bombers came out of hyperspace. This ships flew down at Farquak Junior, and moved in against two Imperial garrisons. The Rapiers kept the TIE Fighters launched from the first garrison busy, while the Saber Assault Bombers destroyed the garrison. Then they all moved onto the second garrison, where the plan was the same... <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
A third bulk freighter lifted off from the spaceport on Can'd'any and began its voyage to the site of the convoy ambush...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
A fourth bulk freighter also lifted off, this time from the spaceport on Dern. Its desitnation was also the site of the convoy ambush...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Meanwhile on Dor the Saber Assault Bombers had reached the Imperial Garrison. They ignored the fighters swarming around them, and just did a bombing run on the garrison, in an effort to destroy the hangar, where more fighters were scrambling, and to destroy the turbolaser firing up at them. The bombing run succeed in doing that, but did not completely destroy the garrison. As the Saber Assault Bombers were began turning, the Rapier Fighters came up from behind hills and in other valleys. They swarmed the TIE Fighters, destroying them. Then the Saber Assault Bombers completed their next run over the garrison, finishing it off. The fighers then headed back for the convoy...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The stormtroopers were wiped out, and Farquak Empire troopers quickly secured the transports. Then the 2 incoming transports, Battle Horns, landed and the Imperial transports were quickly reactivated and put on the Battle Horns. When the Saber Assault Bombers and Rapier Fighters reached the convoy, the Battle Horns were ready to lift off. Then they moved forward, heading for space where the second bulk freighter was waiting...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
By the time the Rapier Fighters, Saber Assault Bombers and Battle Horn Transports from the planet had reached the bulk freighter, the other starfighters had returned from their attack on the moon. The Saber Assault Bombers formed up around the transports, and the Rapier Fighters were loaded onto the second transport. Then they jumped into hyperspace, out of the system...

<o:p>J'apol was pleased as he received news from the raids. The plan had worked perfectly, and now an Imperial Convoy was in his hands, and 3 Imperial Garrisons were destroyed. While some people would question why he hadn't destroyed the missile production factories adjacent to the garrison, he had a very good reason for it. Not only had he helped set up those factories, but the workers were loyal to the Farquak Empire, and had helped him when he was rebellion against the Cren Alliance. Why should he turn them against him, when they could be turned into an army, an army poised to retake the moon? If he turned them against him he would need to recruit an army from Farquak, but he needed all the troops he could get to help liberate Farquak, so he couldn't spare any to help liberate Farquak Junior. Fortunately he had enough weapons to spare for the army that would be needed to retake the moon. But that would not happen right now. Now he needed to board a freighter and head to Sapuni. There he would plan out the assault with the leaders of the Sapuni Alliance's fleet, and then he would return to Farquak. But he to go he need to disappeared for a few days. After a few moments he had planned out how he was going to do it, and things were set up for him...</o:p>

A few days later he was flying his airspeeder over a wooded area on Can'd'any. Suddenly he began losing altitude.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"This is J'apol. I need help, my airspeeder is going down!" He purposely put a touch of fear in his voice.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Then he ploughed into the trees and he stopped the airspeeder. He got out of the airspeeder and through a thermal detonator in it to simulate the explosion of the fuel tank. He quickly walked off in the direction of the mountains, and towards where a speeder bike was waiting. 30 seconds after he had thrown the detonator into the airspeeder it exploded magnificently. He quickly hurried to the speeder bike, knowing that the explosion would draw more people to the area. He hopped on the speeder bike and gunned the throttle. His destination was a cave in the mountains. Once there he quickly got into a modified YT-2400 transport and blasted off, following the terrain away from that mountain, and to the far side of Can'd'any. Once there he continued out until he was well over the water and then blasted straight up for space. He quickly cleared Farquak's gravity well and using the co-ordinates already laid in for a close by un-inhabited system he activated the hyperdrive. The ship came out of hyperspace a few minutes later, and after a quick course change re-oriented itself to aim for Sapuni, and then launched back into hyperspace.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Around an hour later J'apol reached Sapuni. He was very impressed by what he saw. Five gigantic shipyards orbited the world, closer then the asteroid belt. It looked like there was a Victory Star Destroyer nearing construction in each of them, as well as some smaller vessels. Sensors indicated that there was numerous planetary ion cannons on the planet, and the glow of a planetary shield could be seen. Two Victory Star Destroyers were seen near the shipyards, and another one was near the asteroid belt. A Battle Horn Transport was positioned near the shipyards as well. 2 Dreadnaughts floated near each of the Victory Star Destroyers, as well as 4 Marauder Corvettes. J'apol assumed there was probably another Victory Star Destroyer group on the other side of the planet. Almost immediately two Marauder Corvettes sped towards him and hailed him. A squadron of Z-95 Headhunters launched from each of the Marauder Corvettes as they moved towards him. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Sapuni Alliance Marauder Corvette Sea Hawk to YT-2400 Transport, identify yourself immediately."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"This is J'apol, leader of the Farquak Empire, who you allied with a long time ago. I come here seeking your help."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Hold position and shut down your engines while we confirm this."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"All right."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
A few minutes later the commander of the Sea Hawk came back.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"You have been cleared for landing at Sapuni Spaceport, Docking bay 52. We are transmitting the co-ordinates and your flight plan now. Deviate from the flight plan and we will be forced to view you as a threat and will deal with you accordingly. You ship will be met at the Spaceport for transportation to the Planetary Council Chamber."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Ok, thank you."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
J'apol flew down into the atmosphere, and landed in the docking bay. There two guards and an aide of the head of the council met him, and took him to the Planetary Council Chamber. He was quickly ushered in and after waiting a few minutes, he was allowed to speak.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Esteemed Council members, your fellow Cren of Farquak need your help. The last time we were here we made an alliance, but you could not help us at that point against our enemies, the Cren Alliance, supported by the Mon Calamari Republic, which had rebelled against us. Now another off-planet government has taken control of Farquak, and we need your help. The New Order, a decidedly anti-alien government has taken us over. We have successfully planned and executed missions on both Farquak and Farquak Junior against them for numerous months, ever since they took over. We are prepared to fully rebel against them, and we need your help in defeating them. They have powerful stations orbiting our world, too powerful for our fighters to handle without great loss. What we need is a fleet like yours to come in and destroy the stations, while we rebel on Farquak Junior and Farquak, destroying their garrisons, and freeing our people. Will you answer our call, the call of one Cren to another?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Before any decisions are made, I need to know a few things. You have another moon, Gernon, but you haven't mentioned it. Why do you not rebel there too?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"We would, if it was controlled by the Imperials. The Mon Calamari Republic took it over, and after the Imperials forced them to flee from Farquak and Farquak Junior they went there, along with the Cren Alliance and lots of their supporters. However they are no longer called the Mon Calamari Republic, they have become the New Galactic Coalition. We plan to eventually take them on as well, but right now we chose to just fight one enemy at a time, instead of two."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"That sounds reasonable. Does anybody else have any questions?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
No one did, so a vote was quickly called.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"In a unanimous decision, we the Sapuni Alliance, promise to help you, the Farquak Empire, rebel against the New Order, and will provide you with a fleet to do it. When do you want it to go into action?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"How long until your ships currently under construction are done?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Three months."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Then I suggest we wait until then. The power of an extra 5 Victory Star Destroyers would be a good addition to any fleet. What forces will you be bringing to Farquak?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"6 Victory Star Destroyers, 4 Dreadnaughts, and 8 Marauder Corvettes, with full fighter compliment. Our remaining ships will stay here."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"That sounds very good. It will take an hour for that fleet to go directly to Farquak, so we will send the message to you confirming the attack 50 minutes before we begin our attack. We will be able to have fighters destroying the garrisons on Farquak Junior by that time just about the time that you revert to hyperspace, preventing them from launching their TIES there, and various forces will be able to destroy the garrisons on the ground at that point."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"That sounds good."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
With the plan decided J'apol returned to his YT-2400 transport and flew back to Farquak. He flew back to the mountainside cave the same way he had left it, and then hopped on the speeder bike. Flying it back to the area of the crash zone he sent it on a collision course into a mountain and then ran around that area. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Meanwhile, the search party saw the explosion of the speeder bike.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"What was that?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Don't know, but it might have been another accident. Wa'tique and I will go check it out."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Sounds good. Report back once you get there."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The two Cren hopped onto an airspeeder and flew to the scene of the crash. Setting down on the mountainside the looked over the wreckage to see if there was any signs of a passenger. Not finding anything they turned back to their airspeeder and saw J'apol coming towards them.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Wa'tique quickly ran towards him while the other Cren called back to the base.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Am I glad to see you guys."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Where have you been? We've been searching for you since you crashed!"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"I ejected when I started going down and was looking for you guys. Then I saw the explosion and came over here, knowing that whoever was searching for me would see it and come and check it out."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"All right we'll get you home and cleaned up."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
J'apol was soon escorted home, and after the search and rescue guys left he quickly walked down into his basement where he had a radionics communication device set up. He quickly called his aide and second in command of the Farquak Empire.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"What has happened while I was gone?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"We staged a strike on some more sensor stations, nothing too major, we also took down 2 missile turrets at the same time. Another group, currently unknown at this time staged a few attacks on one garrison, took down the patrols sent out by the base, even had a couple traps that they managed to lure an AT-AT and an AT-ST into, destroyed both of them. The one that got the AT-At was an avalanche and the AT-ST was taken down by a pitfall, and then grenades did the rest."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Do we have any ideas on who they are?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"No. They thought their assault through quite well but didn't have any heavy weapons. If we could contact them and set up an alliance we could use them in our plans as more light infantry, they already have weapons, and seem to know tactics."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Well do what you can to contact them. Three months from now is the big day. I want everything to be ready."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Yes sir."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
J'apol turned off the radionics gear and left it there.<o:p></o:p>

Three months later, present day, everything was set up. J'apol quickly sent the message to the Sapuni Alliance.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"The mission is a go. See you soon."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Then he went to make sure everyone was ready on his end.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"The citizens are ready on Farquak Junior? Fully armed and prepared to revolt once the garrisons are destroyed?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Yes."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"And the transports?"<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"On their way here now. The submarines have launched, and the Saber Assault Bombers and Rapier fighters are being prepped. Troops have been briefed and are loaded onto their transports."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"What about the Dor Freedom Fighters?" asked J'apol, naming the group that had attacked an Imperial garrison while he was on Sapuni.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"They have allied with us, and have been briefed. I am confident they will perform well."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Excellent. 50 minutes from now the plan begins, and we will retake our world from these Imperials."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
50 minutes later, it began. Battle Horn Transports came out of hyperspace around Farquak Junior, and immediately launched Saber Assault Bombers and Rapier Fighters. They dived down at the planet, making for the various garrisons, intent on destroying them, and the TIE based there.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
On the planet submarines surfaced across the worlds, and began firing missiles at various garrisons, sensor stations and ground emplacements. Saber Assault Bombers and Rapier Fighters, launched a little while ago, assaulted garrisons across the planet. Troops moved in on sensor stations and ground emplacements. The goal was the wipe out all Imperial presence on Farquak and Farquak Junior.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
And then at the major prison complex on Can'd'any, the main target for the Farquak Empire, fighters roared in and shot at the guns defending it, and the guns on the garrison beside it before circling around as air cover. Troops transports crested the hills and troops came swarming forward. Snipers on top of the hills shot at the enemy troops patrolling the walls of the garrison. Heavy weapons troops armed with chip missile launchers fired rockets into the outer walls of the prison and garrison, blowing holes in them for the troops to rush into. Once inside the troops quickly spread through the prison, releasing their targets as they got to them. All the ones released were Farquak Empire loyalists, and were immediately given blaster rifles. Once they had secured the outer edges of the prison, the moved forward into the more defended areas, with the more dangerous criminals, including the former Farquak Empire leader, Crinium. He was their main target. They had to release him at all costs. Explosives quickly blew doors apart, and all Imperial forces were killed. All Cren guards where given the option of joining the Farquak Empire, and if they refused were killed. The mission had to be completed quickly, as the Imperials had this placed rigged to blow. Explosive experts tried to disable most of the bombs, and succeeded on some, but there was a high chance that the Imperials would destroy the place. The Cren just wanted to get Crinium out before then.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"We have him. All troops in the prison retreat."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The Farquak Empire troops quickly began retreating out of the garrison.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Meanwhile next door the heavy weapons troops had ran down the hill and helped out the light infantry in taking down the garrison, and destroying the tanks inside. This mission was also supposed to be a quick in an out mission, it was unknown whether the bombs in the prison would destroy this garrison at the same time. While it might have been safer to strafe the garrison with fighters, that left a high possibility for missiles to overshoot and hit the prison.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
One target that hadn't been hit yet was the Imperial Occupation Headquarters. That was going to be left operational, at least for now. After all, Crinium would need someone to surrender the world to him.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Up in space, just after the Saber Assault Bombers had destroyed the garrisons on Farquak Junior and the Rapiers had cleared the skies of any fighters, the Sapuni fleet came out of hyperspace, and immediately powered up weapons. Fighters were launched, and then shields came up as well. All missile tubes were loaded and the fleet began moving in on the first Imperial orbital installation, accompanied by the Saber Assault Bombers and Rapier fighters that had completed their job on the moon.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
On Farquak Junior the workers began revolting, finishing off the last Imperial troops on Farquak Junior.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Meanwhile on Gernon, the operators at the Cren Alliance base were stunned.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Call Governor Sawara and Admiral Dawara immediately. We have a crisis erupting. Alert all troops to be ready, and get all ships, bases and equipment ready."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Yes sir."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
When Dawara and Sawara were contacted, the controller immediately filled them in.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"We have a major problem. A fleet of 6 Victory Star Destroyers, 4 Dreadnaughts, and 8 Marauder Corvettes, with full fighter compliments, Z-95 Headhunters, just arrived in system. Their transponders identify them as some government called the Sapuni Alliance. Life signs onboard their ships are consistent with those of Cren. They, along with numerous wings of Saber Assault Bombers and Rapier fighters that seem to have destroyed the Imperial garrisons on Farquak Junior, are moving after the first Imperial orbital installation. On the planet we have a massed uprising. Troops, Rapier Fighters and Saber Assault Bombers and submarines are taking down garrisons, sensor stations and ground emplacements across the planet. They don't seem to have attacked the Imperial Occupation Headquarters yet. Wait, we just received new information. They have attacked the prison that Crinium is being held in, and appear to be winning. Once they have him freed, well, we will be in trouble. I can almost guarantee once the Imperials are out of the way they will come for us."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Can we beat them?" asked Sawara.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"With the forces we have here, no probably not. It would be a very close fight, since we have fewer ships, but our capital ships are newer, and we have the Planetary Ion Cannons. As well our fighters are newer, and they have the mini-concussion missile launchers, which we are positive will prove to be very effective against the Rapiers. But we definitely don't have the troops to hold Farquak Junior and Farquak." Answered Dawara.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"What if we help the Imperials?" That particular idea was from the controller.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"I will never help the Imperials." Said Sawara.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"It might be our only choice." Replied Dawara. "If we don't they will crush us, but if we have the Imperials on our side, we will win the space battle. The ground battle is another question entirely. I still don't think we would have enough troops to hold Farquak. However the Farquak Empire has in the past lied to get their way, numerous times. If we can convince this Sapuni Alliance to help us, we stand a better chance at winning."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"All right, I give you permission to contact the Imperials and offer our help in dealing with the Farquak Empire and their allies."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Thank you."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Admiral Dawara immediately made the call.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
"Major Bassk, this is Admiral Dawara of the Cren Alliance. I offer my help to you in dealing with the threat presented by the rebels. They are old enemies of mine, and we wish to help you in seeing that they are squashed."<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Now they just had to wait for the Imperial reply. Since they assumed the Major would allow them to help, Cren Alliance forces were mobilizing across the moon. Even if the Major didn't want their help they would have to deal with the Farquak Empire forces soon.<o:p></o:p>

Major Bassk stared at the holographic projection of the Admiral. The reports were coming in continuously of the advance of the Farquak Empire Forces... he snorted to himself but realized that his grip on this forsaken planet was slipping.
It started with the loss of garrison transports which made his reserves begin to dwindle.
The fighting was everywhere and if reports were to be believed, many of the population were acting thus evaporating that unseen line that separates combatants from non-combatants.
He still had many options with which to act. His Headquarters was shielded and if they were to be attacked, the enemy would need to cross the open ground that stretched for miles in every direction.
"Admiral. Your military assistance would be useful." He was not stupid enough to hit away a helping hand. Especially if that hand offered military assitance.
"It appears that our response will be directly proportionate to what we've suffered. It appears that the population has decided to make themselves targets.
Hit them where it hurts, Admiral! If you can punch a whole through their forces, I shall follow it up with reinforcments.
If we can crush them here on Farquak, then 'Jr.' will fall soon enough."
"We will hold our ground!"
The Major's aide gasped at the implications. How the Major intended to 'hold the ground' was impossible for him to guess but he knew whatever the Major planned would bode ill for this Farquak Empire.

Admiral Dawara smiled when he heard the Imperial’s response, but inside he had his doubts.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
How could they hold their own on the ground? From what we can tell they have no major strongholds left other than the base that Major Bassk is in. Their only strongholds are their space stations, but to effectively stop the rebels they’d have to fire at all the places where the rebels are in strength, and with half the population revolting, and lots of them in the streets of the towns, they’d kill off tons on innocent civilians at the same time. But they need help, and we will provide it for them, but at the same time I have to find a way to keep those civilians alive.
<o:p></o:p>
“I’m pleased that you’re willing to work together with us to defeat a common enemy. We’ll deal with the fleet in orbit, and then start sending in ground troops and some support.”
Admiral Dawara flicked his upper right hand at the communication’s officer, and he cut the communications off.
<o:p></o:p>
“Are the Planetary Ion Cannons charged?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes, and the shields have been activated. Fighters are scrambling now, and the capital ships are preparing for combat as we speak.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Good. Get all ships in orbit, close to the Sapuni Alliance fleet, but not in firing range. Load all missiles tubes. Get the Planetary Ion Cannons aimed at the three leading Victory Star Destroyers, but do not fire them.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“When will the Sapuni Alliance fleet be in range of the closest Imperial Space Station to them?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Fifteen minutes sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Then we have that long to convince them to break off, and preferably join us.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Sir?”
<o:p></o:p>
“If we wipe them out, we will never have them allied with us, and they will constantly attack us. We don’t know where Sapuni is, so we couldn’t strike back at them. And if we defeat them, we will have to go into Farquak’s atmosphere and wipe of the rebels, which would probably kill the vast majority of the population. If we convince the Sapuni Alliance to join us, rather than fight us, then it is possible that they will be able to convince J’apol and Crinium to break off their rebellion, and we can try to negotiate with the Imperials, and get them to allow Farquak and Farquak Junior to join the Cren Alliance, and then we will ensure that no more rebellions take place.”
<o:p></o:p>
“I see where you’re coming from. Do you want me to open a channel with the Sapuni fleet?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Channel open.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Sapuni Alliance fleet, this is Admiral Dawara of the Cren Alliance. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?
<o:p></o:p>
“This is Admiral Wer’tor of the Sapuni Alliance. What do you want?”
<o:p></o:p>
“What are your intentions in this system?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Nothing to do with you Admiral. We are simply helping our allies defeat these Imperial dogs.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Nothing to do with me yet, but it will soon involve me. Do you think that J’apol and Crinium just want to defeat the rebels? Yes that is all they want for now, but I can guarantee that they will attempt you to come after us next. They hate the Imperials because they took them over, but they hate us for a different reason. We revolted against Crinium because he is a power-crazed maniac, who made himself a dictator, and tried to enslave our people. Also he wants to control the galaxy. Do you really want to be allied with him, when he will just use you to gain what he wants, then betray you, and make you part of his Farquak Empire?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Why do you think he’d betray us?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Look at your ships. They are mostly out of date, and you only have a few designs. The only decent ship in the lot is the Victory Star Destroyer, but even then most modern ships could take it on easily. Your fighters are way out of date, Dreadnaughts are obsolete, and Marauder Corvettes are very rarely used in modern fleets. Plus you don’t have any ships over 1000m, and there are numerous designs like that these days, and I know that J’apol has access to those designs. Clearly he is setting you up with a fleet that is impressive compare to a pirate or mercenary fleet, and enough to beat the Imperial presence here, but little more than that. If you tried to engage attacked any planet in any major galactic government your fleet would be wiped out immediately. Your fleet definitely wouldn’t be able to defeat a sneak attack by Crinium or J’apol when you weren’t looking and they had modern ships, which they would build, provided they had shipyards to build them in. And they would get those modern shipyards right after they defeat the imperials and us.”
<o:p></o:p>
“So what would you have me do if you’re so smart?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Break of your attack, ally with the Cren Alliance, and we will try to pressure the Imperials into agreeing to a cease fire with the Farquak Empire. That way we can enter into negotiations with them, and see if they are willing to leave Farquak, and let us administer it ourselves, since otherwise they will have to deal with the revolts, and an enemy with an unknown base. And if they leave we can get the citizens to vote on what they want to do, join the Farquak Empire, join the Cren Alliance, join the Sapuni Alliance, join another government or stay neutral. As well, if the Sapuni Alliance ever wanted to become a member of the Cren Alliance, I am sure that you would be allowed to, and we would be happy to have you join us.”
<o:p></o:p>
“We will think about this offer of yours.”
<o:p></o:p>
“You don’t have long, unless you break off your attack.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Why not?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Once you come into range of the Imperial space station that you are heading for, we will be forced to attack you.”
<o:p></o:p>
“You’ll be forced to attack us, and help your enemies, the Imperials?”
<o:p></o:p>
“We don’t like them, that part is true, but they aren’t our enemies anymore. We have a peace treaty with them, and we offered our aid to them, because we know that if you stay allied with the Farquak Empire, they will force you to attack us. We would prefer to fight them when we have the Imperials on our side, to help us.”
<o:p></o:p>
“I see. I’ll debate the matter.”
<o:p></o:p>
The Sapuni Alliance commander broke of the link, and Admiral Dawara turned around, and looked to his sensor officer.
<o:p></o:p>
“They’re still maintaining their present course sir. If they don’t break off in the next minute, they will come into range of that Imperial space station.”
<o:p></o:p>
Admiral Dawara sighed.
<o:p></o:p>
“All right. Is our fleet ready?”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Then get them following the Sapuni fleet, staying between Gernon and them, but make sure the Planetary Ion Cannons have a clear shot at those Victory Star Destroyers.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“The Sapuni fleet will be in range in 20 seconds sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Prepare to fire the Ion Cannons.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Fifteen, fourteen, thirte – sir, they are firing their braking thrusters.”
<o:p></o:p>
“But is it soon enough?”
<o:p></o:p>
“They’re slowing down, projected ETA, unable to calculate. Wait, they have come to a complete stop, just outside of the firing range of the Imperial space station.”
<o:p></o:p>
“All ships, hold your fire, but keep your guns ready.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“It looks like their willing to think about our offer.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“But what will the Imperials think…”
<o:p></o:p>
“What do you mean?”
<o:p></o:p>
“We said we’d deal with the fleet in orbit, and no doubt they think that means that we’ll destroy them. But now they will see a potentially hostile fleet just outside of firing range of their space stations, and our fleet just outside of firing range of the hostile fleet, guns ready, but us not moving in.”
<o:p></o:p>
“I think I see where you’re coming from sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“What’s the situation on the ground?”
<o:p></o:p>
“The rebels have pretty much destroyed all of the Imperial garrisons on the planet, and have destroyed or taken over all of the sensor stations and gun emplacements on the planet. The rebels have succeeded in destroying all the tanks and personnel in the garrison next to the prison complex where Crinium was held, and have liberated Crinium and numerous other Farquak Empire loyalists from the prison. They have left the complex, and are moving away from the area, so even if the Imperials detonate the charges in the prison complex, they will only kill who ever is left in there, mainly criminals such as murdered, pedophiles and people like that. They appear to be regrouping for an attack against the occupational headquarters, but numerous troops, starfighters, and most likely subs, are still on the way.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Prepare all ground troops for action. And prepare to send all fighters into the atmosphere.”
<o:p></o:p>
“You don’t intend on attacking the rebels, do you? They easily outnumber our ground forces.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes they out number our ground forces, but we have more fighters then them, we have capital ships for support and we can easily convince most of their supporters, who are just made up of the average citizens and not Farquak Empire loyalists, to abandon the fight. As well, I know how we can get more fighters, more ground troops, and more capital ships, as well as give the rebels a very big setback at the same time.”
<o:p></o:p>
“How?”
<o:p></o:p>
“The Sapuni Alliance.”
<o:p></o:p>
“What?”
<o:p></o:p>
“If they ally with us, like I think they will, we can get all their ships and all their support for a move on the planet, and strip the rebels of their fleet at the same time. This will demoralize their troops, and hopefully get even more of them to lay down their arms and leave the battle.”
<o:p></o:p>
“I understand sir, but I think I can spot a problem in your plan.”
<o:p></o:p>
“What is that?”
<o:p></o:p>
“The Imperials. They probably won’t be willing to let the Sapuni Alliance on the planet, not after they just attacked the Imperials.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Did they really attack the Imperials? Did they fire so much as one shot against the Imperials? Did any of their ships come into firing range of the Imperials? Did even one fighter deviate from its path, or do a fly by on an Imperial asset? Did the Sapuni Alliance fleet fire one missile, or even release a piece of garbage in this system? No. They simply exercised their right to move freely across the galaxy. Plus, before we go down into the atmosphere we will explain the situation to Major Bassk as quickly as possible, and we will organize the Sapuni Alliance ships so that when we go past the Imperial Space Stations we will be covering them.”
<o:p></o:p>
“That should work.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Yes it should, but we will only find out for sure if the Sapuni Alliance commander responds as I think he will. And both our opinions may change depending on what the Imperial response is to our apparent inaction concerning the Sapuni Alliance fleet. If he tries to order us to kill them all, even though they have yet to fire on his space stations, we may not be able to convince him to let them help us.”
<o:p></o:p>
“I understand sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“Incoming message.”
<o:p></o:p>
“From who?”
<o:p></o:p>
“The Imperial’s Occupation Headquarters sir.”
<o:p></o:p>
“That would be Major Bassk. Put it on the main screen.”

<o:p></o:p>
“Yes sir.”

“Major Bassk, it’s a pleasure to speak to you again. Is there something you want?”

Major Bassk growled at the alien Admiral under his breath. They thought they knew everything.
The Farquak rebels (how he hated that name.. Farquak) were attempting to advance but they had not yet really consolidated nor organized themselves. They were a rabble and though a well armed rabble, the had yet to really pose a direct to danger to the Imperial Occupational Headquarters.
In all reality, there were still a number of options open but they were not that popular.
Mutual Assured Destruction was something he never really cared for.
But as he contemplated his move, the station in orbit relayed that Admiral Dawara's forces had yet to engage the approaching Sapuni forces that were advancing on it.
Then the Sapuni forces began to slow but still, the only thing noted by the Imperials were the transission emissions coming from the various warships.
"They are talking!" the Major spat out.
"Let me explain something to this rebellion," he hissed and turned to his comm officer, "Detonate it."
And within minutes, the prison facilty disappeared in a small mushroom cloud.
The Major's aide felt the color drain from his face. "Sir! Most of the rebels would have gotten away from the prison facility!"
"It's not the prison or who's in it that is important, Private." the Major responded, mesmerized by the monitors showing the explosion.
"Sir?"
"That prison lies directly along a faultline. See.." he pointed and sure enough, something was happening on the monitor to the ion cannon off in the distance.
For you see, an explosion of significant magnitude, when placed along a faultline, would shatter was little was holding the tetonic plates together. Suddenly they were pulling away causing massive cracks along the planetary crust in the area and the resulting earthquake began to destabilize the nearby ion cannon platform.
As the stresses became too great for the foundation of the platform, forces too great soon forced the generators of the powerful planetary defense weapon to come apart.
The resulting fracturing of an planetary ion cannon core set off an electromagnetic wave of unimaginable force that soon left everything within a four hundred mile radius without power.
Since the rebels were coming from that area, the fighters and ports they were looking to take over were suddenly reduced to simply hulks of metal as the computer equipment fused denying the rebels in the area access to the sky.
And while the Imperial Occupational Headquarters was several thousand miles away, their power still flickered and fluctuated at times.
"Get me the bastard Cren Dawara!" Bassk shouted.
And so, it came to pass, that as the Cren were talking, the Imperials were acting.
“Major Bassk, it’s a pleasure to speak to you again. Is there something you want?”
"Yes," Bassk retorted. "We've just scattered a significant number of rebel forces leaving them without operational equipment. I would appreciate it if you would rally your people and strike quickly and decisively on their locations, here and here (he was pointing). Their fighter base has been effectively taken out.
I would prefer that you start working to push the cause, lest attacks from other locations by the Rebels force us to use nukes. These weapons are deadly and very destructive to the planet as a whole.
However, before we launch such weapons as a last resort, I need to know from you that we are not there yet. I need to know what you intend to do Admiral Dawara...other than talk with Sapuni, I mean."
Major Bassk waited impatiently.

Crinium stared at J'apol as the ground began shaking and they ended up being knocked off their feet. As Crinium began to get up he saw the rest of troops around him also beinging to get up. In the distance towards the Imperial Occupational Headquarters, but not far enough away to be at the Headquarters, he saw plumes of smoke rising into the sky. Looking back he saw a mushroom cloud rising from the area of the prison.
"What happened?" he asked J'apol.
"I'm not sure sir, but I have an idea. I think the Imperials just detonated the munitions underneath the prison and the adjacent garrison."
"But that shouldn't have caused an earthquake!"
"I think the only logical explanation for it is that the prison was built on a faultline."
"A faultline? A faultline! Who the hell would build a prison on a faultline?!" he screamed at J'apol."
"Obviously the Imperials did sir. After they received this planet from the Galactic Coalition they began work on building the new prison. We didn't know why at the time, but this explains it. If they had just wanted a prison they could self-destruct they would have just planted munitions under the old prison. Instead they built a new prison on a faultline so that when they detonate the explosives they can devestate the entire surrounding area."
"Well then. Get status reports from the troops and begin moving towards the vehicle depot again."
"Yes sir."
The troops around them began moving forward while J'apol began calling various area commanders to see what had happened...
OOC: I'll try to get the rest up later today, sorry about the delay. Just wanted to post the first part to show you I hadn't forgotten.
