"Say, is there anything you need me to do, friend?" Han said, looking at Rsuty form within the crows of people, kinda shrinking out of sight.

Rusty smiled to his old Master
"I need you to help Malloy run things here in my absence. Think you can handle it, ol' fella?"

Even though Cario had walked to the door departing to go to the hangar, she had stopped short and listened to Rusty...she espically listened to all that about his late girlfriend.
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> All that emotion? After two years?.....I don't stand a chance.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
She sighed sadly and walked out to the hangar bays to begin working on Rusty's ship.
<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Who am I kidding? He probably just thinks of me as his mechanic and a RJO Admiral. Defiantly not how he thought of her.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->
Cairo slide into a pair of form-fitting, grey coverall's and got to work of Metropolis' ship. Rewireing the sensory took her no-time at all...but like true Solo, the hyperdrive was giveing her fits. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> This could take longer than expected...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Tec had noticed Cairo standing near the door and the sad look on her face, and he wondered why she was sad. Telling Rusty he would catch up with him later. Walking towards the hangar, which was the most likely place Cairo would be, he thought about the trip ahead, and how politically boring it would most likely be.
When he entered tha hangar moments later, he looked around for Cairo and heard her working on Rusty's ship, so he moved over towards it. He walked up the ramp and then moved towards where he heard loud thumps inside. As he walked up behind her, he put a foot up on one of the walls and leaned back. "So, uh, Cairo, what did Rusty say that has you so blue?"
From the loud thud that came a second later, he guessed what it might be, remembering how she eyed him every now and then. "Oh, I get it; you've got a crush on him and think he won't like you because he still remembers her so much. Am I right?"

Even though her face was smudged by hyperdrive oil, Tec could still see how red she was as she stood up in the compartment.
She fumbled her words, totally giveing herself away, "Well....I....he....um....Well, no....no...not really."
She hoisted herself up and sat on the floor panels, propping her feet up on the top of the faulty hyperdrive, and sighed heavily. She brushed her unruly hair out of her eyes and only smudged her face further.

Rusty smiled to Malloy and Han
"Only a few years, but still older. Anyway, I've got some things to attend to. I'm sure you two can handle things here. Take care you guys."
Rusty exited the conference building, heading toward the hangar himself. He was worried about whether or not his ship would be ready in time for his journey. He walked up to The Defender but saw no one outside. He heard voices, and felt Tec's presence however, and walked aboard the ship's ramp, which was down. He heard Cairo's stuttering, but remained hidden just out of view until all became quiet. He thought to himself: "She's not talking about me...Cairo? Nah...she doesn't like me that way. I'm just her boss..." He stepped into view of Tec and Cairo
"So, Cairo...what's the verdict...can you salvage this ol' girl?"

Cairo paled when Rusty came into view, which made the oil smudges stand out. "Well, sure, Rusty. Um...lets see....i already got the sensory rewired....now, i'm just working on the hyperdrive."
She smirked a shruged casually, but she was really worried sick that he'd heard her and tec's conversation.

Tec coughed and looked at Rusty as he asked Rusty to step out for just a second. Rusty nodded and stepped out, and Tec grinned and looked at Cairo. "Look, he's still getting over his loss, that takes a while, I know. You have more of a chance to get him to like you if you just let him know how you feel about him. The way you talk to him, he probably think you just think of him as your boss, not as somebody that might like him. Help him out a bit, and work with him. Who knows, he might even like you already, but he doesn't want to admit it to himself. You see where I'm heading with this?" From the look on her face, he guessed that she might still need help, though not much. "Let me put it to you this way. Let him know how you feel, and see if you can work something out, get to know him better. Now, if you ever need any help, just let me know, I'll always be there for you if you need someone to get advice from or to trust with stuff you wouldn't tell anyone else." He grinned at her and then before she could say anything else, told Rusty to come in.
