Darth Nihilius has been reawaken from his suspension chamber on Malachor V, former Darth Revan stronghold. He starts to regain his balance from his long sleep and sees his two altered HK-series droids. HK-90 and HK-82 welcome back their master from his long waited rest. The two droids speak to Nihilius as one voice, "It's time to reclaim your quest of destroying those Jedi meatbags, master." Nihilius replied back, "Yes, yes my loyal droids. It's been too long since I was awake from my rebirth. So tell me, what is the current date so I know where I stand in the galaxy to control with my peers?" HK-90 goes to computer console inside former Darth Revan fortness and brings up the data he requested and HK-90 was finished his loyal droid gave the news to Nihilius. "What?!?! This is far too long. Approxiately four thousand years into the future since where I was defeated on the Ravanger. This is impossible and I made sure I would come back from my chamber would bring me out in three thousand years not four." HK-82 answered to his master, "There was a power surge in the main chamber control so it activated a backup system kicked it and saved you on a isolated power supply. Despite what his droid said and now he must regain his dark side abilities back but how would he get those back where it should be.

Darth Nihilius gets a feeling that he should go a planet named Balmorra, tho he doesn't know about that planet. He decides to get into his ship on Malachor V with his droids and Nihilius stares at the stars through his viewpoint of his modified Sentinel Assault Shuttle that his assassin droids got it from a black market merchant. The merchant had unfortunate accident when he was hit with force lightning from Nihilius's droids.
