(OOC This threads purpose is dealing with a raid situation on a transport ship. The thread is open to anyone wanting to be on either side or just for the heck of it.)

The Crytheal Mar – an old Koqus Starliner ship was just finishing its final movement pattern in the Naboo system preparing to hyperspace to Sullust, though as always the old ship took more than enough time just to compute the course correctly. The near ancient Koque ships were probably a site best left seen in museums and then only at a distance.

Sadly this budget space liner, held together by bits of string and good intentions, was all that some poor souls could afford. Its current passenger compliment of 40 and crew of 12, whom were likely at this moment making a last minute hasty check of the escape pods, were under the direct control of a Mr Roger Myers Hope, of Hope liners incorporated.

A few protective ships thankfully flanked the Crytheal Mar, though upon closer inspection those protective ships appeared almost as old as the liner itself. 4 T-wings circled the ship as they began to redock now they had shaken the dust from their wings.

Crytheal Mar - Passenger Quarters

Rethian Tmos sat on the passenger deck of this flying scrap heap, in what had been described as the ‘luxury section’, he sighed, the ‘giver’ knows what the ‘standard’ accommodation was like. Here it was almost ten to a room, and the rooms were more like boxes packed out with a few games and a screen or two to keep the occupants from going mad.

A voice cracked over a communicator unit somewhere in the vicinity.

“Greetings our esteemed and most honoured guests.” The communication unit screeched annoyingly. Though the pompous sounding voice of the speaker continued over the top of it oblivious.

“I Roger Myers Hope, of Hope space incorporated, wish you fortunate sentients a fantastic journey on our pride and joy the Crytheal Mar. I am sure you will enjoy wonders beyond yo….”

So the voice went on, as well as several loud screeching noises, though after a little more prattle it did indeed stop and with great haste.

Rethian’s skin shivered, something was up. It all ‘felt’.. it all felt… he wasn’t sure what it felt, as usual. Just that something else was niggling at him besides his usual aggravations.

The Bridge of the Crytheal Mar

Unbeknown to those inside, the Ship did indeed stop and stop sharply. It even began turning around.

“Sir we have multiple ships closing on us, they just came out of nowhere, sir.”

They hadn’t in fact come out of nowhere but this old buckets sensors were almost non existent.

Roger hope smiled, because that’s all he did. You could of shot off his right kneecap and he still would thanked you and offered you discount on the next trip. He was ever the optimist, nothing bad could happen, if you just smiled he’d always say.

“Right well find out what they want and er.. well pass on our warmest greetings.”
Mr Hope said without a thought.

“Sir I can make out several fighters are bearing down on us in an attack formation, I cannot tell if their weapons are armed but I would consider it likely their intent is hostile.”
Hinted his second in command, hurriedly attempting to highlight the point.

“Ah I see, well lets give them chance to explain their intentions. It wouldn’t do to go just jumping to conclusions now would it, you can’t just….”
His last comments were interrupted by the sounds of laser fire erupting against the shields of the Crytheal Mar.

“Launch all defensive craft now!” Shouted one of the crewman on the bridge as red lights started to sound alarms all throughout the ship. Mr Hope strangely enough had left the bridge, it appeared he had some business, mostly likely business far away from the ship..

The Pirates ships were almost as old as the liner itself. With a few Cr-37 Trackers a couple of R 22 Spearheads’s and a Cargo Empress super freighter. It was like a page out of history and anyone watching could have been forgiven for waltzing in, in any say half decent shuttle and putting everyone out of their misery.
