"Reverting in 3...2...1..."

The Imperial Star Destroyer, and her escorts, on course from Zonama, reverted well outside of sensors range of the planet Dameo. So far in fact that it would take a hyperspace jump to reach the planet. THey in the middle of nowhere and the system they were invading was only a pinprick in the distance.

"Launch fighters in defense mod in case they have some really long range scouts. Shields up, weapons ready. Move to Defcon 5."

A red warning klaxon signified the change and Commander Arix watched out the viewport at the space beyond. It wa sunlikely there would be anything near them to bring up a threat yet. But in the future it would be possible. The system had been scouted months before and labeled as Target X.

"Anything from the probes we sent in?"

"Nothing. I believe they self-destructed before being detected. The ones at the other planets are working fine."

"I see. Activate the Graviton."

"Already did, sir. We believe the enemy to have cloaked war vessels."

"Right. I know. Ok. Hold this position. THe rest of the fleet should be here in a matter of hours."

Republic Star Destroyer HRS Taloven (Two hours later)

"Reversion in 3...2...1...."

The ship reverted to real space 2 miles aft of thelarger Imperial Star Destroyer and its escorts. They moved up near the craft and Kamon signaled an all stop. He contacted Commander Arix on the Outsider.

"Cloaked ship activity?"

"None yet, but they may be out there."

Kamon stroked his chin.

"I want to test the defenses of the planet. THe probes picked up test firing of some planetary missile system some time ago. Every ship is to devote two guns to taking out these missiles."

"Yes, sir," came the chorus of answers.

"Ok. Test defenses. Task Force Test is a go."

The ships of Task Force test moved forward and jumped to hyperspace.

"Defcon five please."

Red warning klaxons sounded to signify the change.

"Shields up, weapons charged. Fighters manned. Begin calculations of micro-jumps for phase two."

Task Force Test (Twenty Minutes later)

The seven ships of Task Force Test, using IFF codes identifying them as an unknown group, came out of hyperspace inside the planetary system, but still well away from the planet. Captain Nor was in charge and she looked at the forces ahead of them.

"Defcon 5. Shields up, weapons at full. Watch for those missiles. Move us forward slowly."

They began to move forward as the ships readied themselves for war.

The ship was slammed wiht missiles.

"Fire back and get us out of here! Alert the main force that this was a bad idea. THere' more of them than we thought!"

"Intercepting encoded transmission!"

The ship rocked as it began to turn. She rocked violently as the guns fired back, glancing off the enemy ships shields. They completed their turn and moved forward towards their exit vector towards their respective homes.

"It's a message to TNO! Requesting relief forces!"

"@#%$! Get us out of here, now!"

The ship moved forward and the hyperdrive engaged. They were leaving.

Main Fleet, RSD HRS Taloven

Kamon listened the to the transmissions as well as the vibes he got through the Force. It wasn't good. They had to go and now. Or they risked destruction. He let go of the Force and looked around.

"Get us out of here. Everyone back to their respective homes."

"Yes, sir."

The ships all split into smaller task forces bound for the planets they called home. They'd wasted time that day. Time that could have been used in building up their planets defenses or infrastructure. Now they would leave to do that. The fleet jumped leaving behind a foe that had no idea TTR had been there.
