No, Jan. You can't.

First off, the rules require you to take two posts to retreat. You didn't - your ships were still there for my last post.

And the ISDs were in no condition to fight - that was made clear. They essentially had no ability to shoot, no power, no targetting, etc.

You have two days.

All from my second last post(Note the word retreat):

"Crap. Place them behind us, covering us from the planet. Then get them to program a course that keeps them between us and the planet on a course out of system. All ships, retreat to the edge of the system. Bilbringi is too heavily defended. They probably have reinforcements on the way."

Both the fleets retreated at flank speed, the damaged Defender Gunships covered the two damaged Imperial Star Destroyers.

"Order them to lay down covering fire. Stay out of the gravity well. All forces are to retreat to the reinforcements. All ships that don't have your missiles tubes loaded, do that now."

As I mentioned,a ll from my second last post. My intent was quite obviously to retreat, so then my last post was my retreating post.

Fine to the damage about the ISD. The VSD remains destroyed, since the undamaged Defender Gunships got the final blow in.

Your reinforcement ISDs were still in no shape to make the jump to hyperspace. Reread the damages they sustained: especcially the parts about engine failure and power grids being blown out.

Your undamaged Defender Gunships (the ones in range, mind you) have a grand total of 10 missiles. They fired at the bow of the VSD, trying to strike the reactor.

*shrug*

I don't mind, but it's highly unrealistic that any would have penetrated.

You never specifically said no hyperdrive. You just said damage to engines. Meaning that it would be slower, but still able to jump to hyperspace. Of course, since you now want to press this, I'm going to be an ass and press my one advantage. I didn't want to press this before, since I was aware of my mistake, and felt that it was my fault. But now I'm going to press it.

Lastly, I think the groping for "Oh, he didn't raise his shields!" has gone too far. It's quite obvious that when an enemy war fleet enters a system, and there's a fully staffed battleship there to counter, someone would hit red alert. Allowing your opponent slack on having to dictate that every system is on in a certain sequential order is quintessential to having a healthy community like ours.

Meaning, my shields were up, so we have minimal damage to hull(max).

Jan, have you ever heard the idea of do unto others as you would have done unto you?

As far I'm concerned, since your "side" has been using this shield BS, we will to. And, as far as I'm concerned, it shall continue until the end of this "war".

Cry me a river.

GC itself has never used the shield BS(except at Mon Calamari, but it didn't matter, since Ion cannons pass through shields). We were even so kind as to say that we wouldn't use it against Chau at Farquak, despite it being used against us at Corellia. What ORS does is up to them. Oh, and you can't just ignore what Kas(a staff member) said, since it is official.

Ion cannons pass through shields, now? Excellent. Since my ISDs and FCLFs all carry ion cannons, you can consider your ISDs fully disabelled!

@#%$ it.

Final Tally of Losses
