The Tholatin Empire had been on the retreat. They had given up at every spot along the way, showing how weak they truly were. Kyric Zen, not wanting to ever allow such cowardice like that of Kamon Vondiranach to rebuild. The easiest way to accomplish this feat was of course, scorched earth policy. On all of Kamon's former worlds.

"First up, is the world of Aquaris." Said one of Zen's commanders.

"Excellent. A nice water planet. It will boil nicely."

"Indeed it will Sir."

"When shall we be arriving?"

"Shortly sir."

"Great. Power up shields, fifty-percent and have the rest to weapons. I expect nothing that can hurt us to be present."

"Reversion in ten... nine... eight..." The countdown finished, then the ship, the Zen reverted into realspace. On either side of the flanked several Shoto battle cruisers, and flanking them as well as forming the skirmish line was an assortment of Cutter class gunships and Kessel class picket ships. Below them all rotated the blue world of Aquaris.

It would be over in an hour, two tops. The fleet arranged in a single form, divided the planet into several hundred grids.
Then, the entire fleet would take aim at the grid, and fire away all weapons. The waters boiled and shook, the sands beneath errupted into pocket explosions. Accelerated particles from the energy discharges began to produce hydrogen gas.

With the formation of the hydrogen gas and the burning of the oxygen as the bombardment of the world passed, the color of the oceans turned brown and dried up, boiled away. The hydrogen gas that was building in the the atmosphere would occasionally ignite from a laser bolt or the afterburners of a missile. The silicon in the dirt, was slowly turning gaseous from the now constant bombardment of energy and from the steadily rising temperature.

There would soon be no more life left on Aquaris, those of Farfalen would surely make sure of this. Of course, this attack on Aquaris would only be the beginning of the cleansing. Cowardice must not exist in the galaxy, No more, thought Zen.
