Setting: Six Months before the TGC Attack on Corellia.
As the Imperial Fleet gathered and passed in review in front of the viewport, a tall man in an Admiral's uniform gazed out of the ships, watching them with a silent interest. His eyes beaming, telling anyone who was watching him, that he was full of pride of his first command. The Imperial Warship Warspite , followed by the smaller warships Barham, Malaya, and Valiant finished their manuevers, and formed up on the mighty New Order Battleship in which the admiral flew his flag. Kraken was his name, Park Kraken, of Corellia, who had once served in the well known Corellian Security Forces as a Line Capitan. As the fleet passed in review, a movement off to the side caught his attention. It was one of his aides, a fine young chap, coming in with some news.
"Admiral, Colonel Tchort is here to see you," said the Private.
"Very well, Marc, show him to the war room, where I will be joining him shortly." said Kraken.
Taking one last gaze of the fleet, Kraken walked out of the room, and headed down the corridor to a room bustling with activity. He walked to a door marked "Officers only", and entered it. In the center of the room was a lone man wearing a Colonel's rank ingsignia. Walking up to him, he offered him his hand,
"Colonel Jarek Tchort, let me introduce myself. I am Vice-Admiral Park Kraken, commander of this fleet and the attack on Selonia." said Kraken.

As Park offered his hand to the Colonel, the door slid open as a man in a black uniform with a Commodore's rank insignia walked quietly into the room, his gloved hand clasped behind his back. The main thing that anyone ever first noticed about the insidious Commodore Trachta, even undoubtably during this first meeting, were his prosthetics. Where his eyes should have been were red photocepters like those of a droid and where his mouth and nose should have been was a metallic respirator unit with a vocabulator grate which permitted the man to talk and breath. A faint, mechanical breathing sound could be heard as the pale skinned man stood there, his body more machine than organic ever since an incident before he had joined the Galactic Empire.
"Greetings gentlemen, I am Commodore Trachta. I will be the Imperial Security Bureau's liason during this operation," Trachta said in his grating metallic voice. He looked at both Vice Admiral Kraken and Colonel Tchort, recognizing them from the profiles the ISB had already complied ever since they had first enlisted in the Empire.

Colonel Tchort took the outstretched hand and shook it, a firm shake too, Tchort believed a man's strength of character could be judged by his handshake.
Tchort wore the drab olive green of the Imperial Army, his rank bar nestled above his well toned chest. He was well built - years of manual labor as a teen had achieved that - and he looked every inch the Imperial Army officer.
Cold blue eyes looked out from beneath his brow and swathe of tawny hair. His eyes seemed to be devoid of warmth, just two bright orbs, filled with a cool light, like that of a winters morning.
Tchort was about to return the Admiral's introduction when the door slid open. The Colonel turned to look at the newcomer. The man was certainly a sight to behold. His brilliant red eyes seemed to contrast sublimely with Jarek's own ice cold eyes. His respirator grated dully in the recycled air of the Destroyers briefing room.
Colonel Tchort stood stiffly to attention as the imposing figure introduced himself. Tchort clasped his black gloved hands behind the small of his back and waited for Park's response.

"Welcome, Commodore Trachta. Nice to have you join us. Colonel, in case I forgot to mention, Trachta is a late addition to our force. He will help to oversee and coordinate our operations." said Admiral Kraken, "Now, gentlemen, if introductions are over, it is time to move onto buisness. I have decided to launch this invasion for the primary reason of securing yet another planet for the empire, as well as making the Corellian system more secure, and to increase it's shipbuilding capacity."
Kraken moved over to the holotable, and pressed a series of buttons at it's base before removing a small remote controller. With a audible humm the Holo table flashed to life, displaying a large continent on the planet. Kraken pressed a small button, and a series of lights pin pointed a small place on the map.
"This will be our landing point. Colonel Tchort, you will lead the ground forces in this assault, and will be accompanied by Commodore Trachta, as he will be calling in Starfighter support, and bombardements if necessary. We will have a pre-invasion bombardement as usual to soften up our beachead. The initial assault will be lead by eight AT-ATs, double that the number of AT-STs, and one thousand Stormtroopers. Questions, or comments?" Said Kraken.

Trachta looked over the map quietly and noted that they would be attacking the largest island on Selonia. He found the whole situation a bit of a problem since simply seizing the largest land mass probably wouldn't crush the Selonian's due to their very odd and factionalized culture. After this assuredly crushing blow to the Selonians, a more subtle campaign of terror would have to be carried out by Trachta and other members of the ISB to bring the planet under full Imperial subjudgation.
"I hope both of you are aware that we will probably be facing a great amount of more subtle resistence tactics after this initial invasion. We must crush the military forces of the Overden which rules Selonia, but we must also be ready to implement more... unorthodox methods to get this world under our full control. Perhaps appoint one of the other Dens as Overden to make them our willing governmental puppets? Its much easier to rule another species if they think they are the ones calling the shots."

Tchort listened to the Commodore illustrate the methods needed to bring Selonia under Imperial rule with interest. Primitives would always be plactated by a strategy like that, their simple minds did'nt appreciate the subtleties of much at all, save eating, sex and death.
The forces Park had given him would be adequate for the task, the vermin would be swept away in a matter of days from the main island. The overden forces would be crushed easily.
"What sort of resistance will we be facing from the Selonians?"

"Commodore Trachta, while an excellent suggestion, I do not think you know the scale of what we will do to these, rodents. Yes, I will take your advice into consideration, and implement it, but understand this: There will be not a single free Selonian left on the planet after the invasion is over. Every single Selonian will be rounded up, and either shipped offworld, or pressed into labor camps. Lictor Dungeon ships supplied to me by the local Proctectorate Commander will be used in this effort. But, I will still use your idea, just in a much more limited fashion. Each Labor Camp will have an overden boss that will be manipulated by Imperial Sergeants to make the Selonians think that they are getting it easy, when in actuallaity, they aren't getting it at all. This will encourage them to work harder while at the same time recieving no more than what we would have provided them with anyways. Now then, with that issue settled, I have one more issue to deal with before we conclude the breifing, and move onto the operation itself." said Admiral Kraken.
"I expect resistance to be minimal, Colonel Tchort. As you know, Selonians are basically rats. They can carry some weapons, but are more suited to combat in their tunnels then out in the open. Which is why, after the initial landing forces have secured the surface area, I'll equip your forces with some units modified for fighting in the darkness, and dangerous underground tunnels." said Admiral Kraken.
As he said this, an armoured figure emerged from the doorway behind him. At first it appeared to be an unusually large stomtrooper, but as he neared it was increasingly apparent that this was indeed not a normal Stormtrooper. His eyes glowed a crimson red, his armour appeared to be thicker than the normal troopers, and the large flamethrower he carried appeared to be much too heavy for the average stormtrooper to carry.
Kraken turned, and waved a hand at the imposing figure,
"Gentlemen, I give you, the Dark Trooper," said Admiral Kraken with an evil smile on his face.

Trachta resisted the urge to snort at the appearance of one of the Empire's grandest projects in the field of battle droids. He knew all too well about Darktroopers and the destruction of the original project and its head, General Moch. However, there was one problem that the Empire needed to face in the Selonian situation.
"The Selonians may be rats, but they are rats that can swim. I don't believe we have an amphibious model of the Darktrooper," Trachta said calmly as he looked at it.
"The reason I speak of resistance is because we are dealing with a species that can move through water very quickly. Sabotage and escape will be a major problem at the work camps. Of course, just shipping the whole population off-world could fix that situation. The Mechis Cluster is always in need of workers," Trachta said with a malevolent tone to his metallic voice. He was always willing to take on slaves at one of his worlds as long as they were useful for something.

Kraken allowed a smile to crease his face, then turned to Trachta, "Now I remember why I brought you along on this operation Commodore, to pick up on anything I may of missed. Yes, I did in fact forget about the Selonians ability to swim very quickly underwater. Fine then, let's go with your suggestion. We will ship all of the Selonians offword, and will instead plant a plethora of human colonies for work in our yards, and inhabitants in general. As for the possibility of them getting in the water, let us use Aqua Troopers armed with Harpoon Pikes for any such trouble as that. I'll have to call in the special equipment, and it will be here soon. Okay, so if that handles everything, let's move onto the operation itself. Commodore Trachta, you will take the shuttle Emancipator down to the surface, followed by the Liberator, Freedom, and Force. You will be taking 160 Darktrooper regulars down with you to the surface. Colonel Tchort, you will depart to your AT-AT pod. And I will bring the fleet up to full combat readiness, and together we will make the short hyperspace journey to the alien slime's homeplanet. Gloria Imperium!" said Admiral Kraken.

There was an adult Selonian, a male by the name of Drachor. He was the ruling overden leader of the city of Sell, the largest city on the face of Selonia. Although most Selonians preferred to live underground, he was content to live on the surface, and rule his portion of the planet's surface. He was gazing out at the market, live with free traders, and Selonian merchants, when an aide of his scrambled to his side. The Selonian looked to the assitant, who looked both determined and worried at the same time.
"Gertude, what is it? You looked worried." asked Drachor.
"As well I should be, Great Overden Leader Drachor. Trade ships have picked up the appearence of an Imperial Fleet. It appears to be headed this way." said Gertude.
Kraken watched from the bridge of the Torpedo Sphere Warspite as the ship moved insystem, followed by the Fire class Light Frigates Barham, Valiant, and Malaya. The ships formed into diamond formation, with the Light Frigates taking the lead as the Warspite followed from behind. TIE Devils deployed from the Light Frigates to intercept any local shipping, of which there seemed to be a fair number of ships. Then, a resonating singal came from the sensor stations, announcing the appproach of a number of captial warships, and starfighters. Kraken took note for their approach, and turned to his aide to find out their identification, and purpose. In minutes most turned up to be former Warships of the Triad, buried beneath the surface of Selonia in artifical hangars, waiting for such a moment as this to make an apperance, and attack. The Warships of the Selonians consisted of a trio of ancient, but still formidable Kruk Battlewagons, supported by about twenty Corsairs, and thirty Jompers pursuit ships, as well as half a wing of Z-95 Headhunters. An outdated force, but one perfectly good for handling the average crisis. Too bad the warships they were facing were much more formidable than they suspected. Kraken sighed, then ordered his fleet to move forward and charge weapons and shields, intent on making short work of the enemy fleet.
