One Week Before TJE Attack on Tholatin
Estro Sabrino stood silently and solemnly as he watched the streaks of hyperspace pass by and fiddled with his sea green uniform's brass officer insignia. He sighed silently as he went over in his head what his orders were. Once they arrived at the remains of Alderaan they would need to pick up asteroids with large mass shadows to carry out their plans effectively. Eventually the streaks of light shrunk back to stars and a massive asteroid field became visible.
"The remains of Alderaan," Sabrino muttered to himself as he turned to Captain Torv. "Captain, issue orders to the Charlemagne and our escourts. Have scanners, weapons and shields at full power and prepare to forge towards the center of the field."
Captain Torv nodded and quickly turned to relay the orders. The three ships powered up their weapons, shields, and scanner and then moved forward. Sabrino listened the the low thrumming of asteroids that got to close being vaporised by turbolaser fire. Sabrino soon notined that the asteroids were taking more fire to vaporise them which meant they were getting closer to the center of the asteroid field where remains of the planet's core would be floating around. It was the perfect material as it produced large mass shadows due to its heavy metal composition. Sabrino's orders hadn't been clear on which to grab so he had decided to get the ones he thought would do the job the best.
"Sir, scanners are reporting that the asteroids around us are almost purely metal and generate very large mass shadows. Are these what we are looking for?"
"Yes, bring as many into the docking bay as possible."
"But sir, this just doesn't seem right. I feel like we're desecrating a graveyard," Torv said uneasily.
Sabrino now turned towards him, his cold hazzle eyes sending a chill down Torv's spine. "Are you questioning my orders?"
Torv now paled at what was just said and immediately muttered an apology and stepped away to issue orders. Sabrino turned back around and watched as the asteroids that best met the requirements were pulled in quickly as efficeintly and put in place in the dockng and cargo bays. Once the job was done the trio of starships moved out of the field and jumped into hyperspace.
Two Days Later at Trajectory Intercepting HDE Hyperspacing from Tholatin system to HDE systems
The streaks of hyperspace disappeared yet again before the Lord Admiral. He turned towards the Charlemagne's navigation officer.
"Are we in position?"
"Yes sir, when and if the HDE moves ships from Tholatin back to their territroy they'll pass directly through here."
"Perfect. Captain Torv, Have the Charlemagne and her two escourts deploy the asteroids in a ring around the exact point the ships will pass through hyperspace here," Sabrino said as he turned towards Torv.
Sabrino turned his attention back toward space and watched slowly as the trio of ships used their tractor beams to construct the ring around the hyperspace path, literally creating one of the most perfect natural inhibitor fields to be known. If the HDE tried to leave Tholatin for their systems now they would find themselves leaivng hyperspace a little too early and being met by three warships.
Day of TJE Attack on Tholatin
Sabrino stood on the bridge quietly watching as the chronometer ticked down carefully. The attack would begin soon and HDE ships would probably be moving through here soon also and even before the attack. Either way, Sabrino was ready for a brawl and so were his ships. It was all a matter of waiting until the first HDE ship was pulled out of hyperspace.
