The Endor system had first been plotted as a possible first strike fleet launch zone to be used against the Outer Rim Soviergnty, that is until it was discovered that the system was already under the control of by said government. It still retained value though to the upper echelons of the dragon, not becuase of its location anymore, but due to the, what they thought were, hidden transmissions. A vessel had been assigned to ascertain the nature of these communications and remained on post for a short duration before the porpouses were discovered. A fleet was sent to take the base of operations in the system and whatever information it may hold.
The dangers of entering the system were not so much in the physical aspects of wreckage, but the gravity shadows cuased by those physical dangers themselves. While the system was relatively clear of hazard to even the most green pilot, the hyperspace view of things was a disruptive tangle of shadow and unpassable entry. It was with technology that this could be bypassed. The Dameun Hyperdrive was a breakthrough, while it couldnt pass through the actual gravity mass of the object itself, it was able to pass through the surrounding shadow cuased by the object. This method of travel reduced an excrutiatingly long travel of multiple jumps and entry corridors into a clear cut path of direct travel.
It was such that they had gotten this far, orbiting the Gas Giant known as Endor itself, opposite of the small forest moon bearing the same name. They were not keeping a synchronous orbit to the planet, though, they held steady and allowed the moons abnormaly quick orbit to take it to them. They were a full ready combat initiative, shields raised, weapons powered, Interdictors ready, all secondary systems ready.
Five of the Ghosts stood out against the backdrop of space, above and below them were two by two layers of Ghouls. A Reaper, Liege and Banshee lone sat behind this wall, as onlookers in a game of chess. There were other ships in the system, but they were cleverly hiding in range, masking themselves in the natural terrain.
Fleet Manifest:
11 Ghoul
10 Ghost
4 Reaper
3 Liege
3 Phage Missle
2 Banshee
