Lightsaber Duel (open to any Sith Apprentice)

WT stands in the middle of a large grassy feild, surrounded by a small forest. Five large pine trees stand in various parts of the feild, perfect for hiding in if one saw it neccessary. A few birds flew from the trees, sensing a dark presence.

OOC: Like I said, open to any Sith <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Apprentice<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

A hand was held out, palms out as the bird attempted to flee. Faster it's wings beat as the invisible forces around it lay claim dragging it ever close to Perrin's palm.

Faster... as it's instinctive fear reached new levels as it hovered just over his palm.

The flapping wings touched Perrin's hand and his body settled into it trembling.

The invisible forces were suddenly releaed setting the creature free but it would not stir.

The creature had died in Perrin's palm, its fear claiming the bird's life.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> I am sure a Jedi would have something moralistic to say about this<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, he thought as he dropped the dead animal.

How Perrin came to be where he was seemed to elude the young man, yet here he was... simply walking.

He was dressed in a rather bright white shirt and khaki cotton pants, a lightsaber swinging gently with his walking motion.

The path through the first he found himself in was coming to a clearing. Well, a partial clearing as he noted five rather large pine trees, perfect for...well.. growing pines.

Perrin felt a presence.....light, like the breeze that had suddenly found its way around the wall of trees that had blocked it minutes before. Perrin paid the presence no mind right now.

The breeze felt good.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Too good.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

He stepped into the clearing.

WT looked up and opened his eyes. He scanned the clearing, carefully picking out every detail. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Someone's around...and whoever they are, they're not normal.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> His hand drifted down toward his lightsaber, but he quickly changed his mind.

"Whose out there?" He scanned the clearing again, then spotted the new presence. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> ...he's got a lightsaber...<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

Perrin stopped at the sound of the voice that intruded into his enjoyment of his surroundings.

"Whose out there?"

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Never fails. The pious rarely can keep themselves quiet for very long.<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

He noted a slight shift in the force. One of recognition and he turned to identify it's source.

The only thing he noted was an animal (though rather large) staring at him from a distance.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Did it?

No..
<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

But even as his eyes dismissed the ridiculous thought, he knew deep down that it was indeed the creature before him that spoke.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Fear?

Curiousity?
<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"Me." he responded to the rather inane question, focussing on the creature.

"And you are?" he inquired, an eyebrow raising at the shiny object that glared against the sun.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> A lightsaber?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

"A Hopper, Jedi...and you?" WT cocks his head to one side, looking the stranger up and down slowly. He certainly didn't look like a threat, except that he carried a lightsaber. This made him uneasy. "Nice lightsaber."

OOC: Sorry WT, I was on vacation. Don't worry, I will finish this thread with you.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> "A Hopper.."<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, Perrin did not doubt this for he had never heard of the species.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> "A Jedi.."<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->, drew a laugh from Perrin.

"They must be hurting for members indeed." he mumbled to himself.

Perrin saw the creature shift uncomfortably and draw attention to the saber at his side.

"You have a name nervous one?" he asked, ignoring the other's open staring at his weapon.

Perrin glanced around at the trees, noting some nearby. <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Close enough to jump too?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

This was an interesting mental exercise.

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> How far can a Hopper hop?<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->

As he waited for the name, another thought entered his mind and he grinned.

"On a small planet at the edge of the Corporate Sector, there is a creature like you that is eaten as appetizers of sorts. It is hunted seasonally.

I wonder, if the creature had speech, what would change between the hunters and the hunted?"

Perrin's grin grew wider.

"And if they gave it a lightsaber, would that make it a Jedi?"

The smile faltered.

"Your name little one."
