Lavality's Tale
Uniting the Divided (Kashyyyk System)

Near an Asteroid Field located some distance from Trandosha

Lavality listened in on the comm. traffic, this was boring to her but it had to be done. Her crew and fellow officers where calm and collected, most didn't seem startled by the fact that there organization was falling apart.

Over the course of the past few hours since she had returned to her flagship - the Delphious - she had been getting numerious reports of ships suddenly vanishing from operational duty, only to turn up attacking there own installations. However that wasn't the most disturbing peice of information - body's of crewmen had been found floating in space, apperently they had been discarded, reasons where unknown

"This is sickening..." Lavality simply said as she got up and grabbed the sword that was perched up againts the chair. She tied the ends to her belt and walked off the bridge, the crew looking at her in fear.

One of the enlisted sighed. "Man... she may be a teenager, but shit she's scary." The young man said as slightly released his grip on the papers he was holding

"You think?" Another enlisted spoke up. "She's realizing that the organization her father spent the past six years creating is falling apart." The girl said and got up and walked over to another console to check on something. "All us here on the Delphious know what she feels, because we all felt the same thing occur sometime in our life." she said

Part of that was false though, the enlisted youth who had said that was only twenty years old and had just been assigned to the ship on a temporary basis, at least until his training was complete. Although he had heard that everyone on this ship was experienced.

He wiped his hand from his forehead and decided it was best not to discuss anything else and get back to work. A few minutes later the Admiral came back in and took a seat.

"Something the matter ma'am?" The young female enlisted asked. Lavality looked at her with a cold stare, "Nothing.... absolutely... nothing.." she said and looked right back at the screen. Although the bridge was located deep in the ship they didn't have much to worry about in terms of seeing what was outside thanks to the sensors they used which displayed the image's that they needed in order to move the ship or target an enemy.

After a few more minutes Lavality sighed again and got up and flipped her cloak around and left once again, but before leaving she said. "Rear Admiral Shariean, you have the bridge. Keep the chair warm for me." she said

"Where are you going Admiral?" Shariean asked and Lavality smiled slightly. "Some.. unfinished bussiness to attend to before I can fully devote my time to restoring the Serendivus." with that she left the bridge, leaving Shairean to take care of her ship and the rest of the fleet.

She made her way to the hanger bay where a new shuttle was waiting. The old one was worn and didn't have much left in terms of armor, she had discovered that her old shuttle, the one that crashed on Hoth, had been recovered by the pirates there. Although she knew they wouldn't be able to access any of the data on the computers, partly because she wiped the database shortly before they crashed.

"Ma'am, your shuttle is ready." A mechanic said as she lead her to the new shuttle. Lavality let out a whisle, "Nice...." she said and looked over the sleek craft, it looked nothing like the Lamba shuttles that she was used to. "When did this get put into service?"

"A few days ago, it's armed with four Taim and Bak IX4 Laser Cannons." The mechanic said as she ran the towel over her hands and smiled. "There's more but lets just say - it's tougher than the Lamba shuttles and more menuverable."

Lavality could believe that just by looking at it. She walked around to find the hatch to the shuttle and walked on board, the mechanic gave her a brief run down of the ship, while it's design and weapons where very diffirent from the normal lamba shuttle; It's control systems where identical.

She thanked the mechanic and closed the hatch. She looked the panel over before starting the shuttle up and moving it toward the launch ramp, unlike other ships, the Delphious had a launch ramp instead of a normal hanger bay for launching ships.

While normally used by fighters for quick entry into battle. She wanted to see how it felt so she ran her hand over the accelerator and hovered over to the ramp and connected the shuttle to the guide rails. She waited until she was given a green light then feed fuel into the engines, a roar could be heard despite her ears being covered by a headset. She back was pressed into the seat as the shuttle fired out of the large heavy combat cruiser and toward Trandosha.

She looked around for a cloaking computer but found none where installed. "Hmmm... will have to change that.." she said and flew into the atmosphere, she immedently contacted the Clan Grounds and was given clearance. Of course the moment she got the landing pad she noticed another ship taking up the space. "Damn you Angella...." She said and landed on the out skirts of the clan grounds.

Grabbing her sword, she tied it to her belt and put her cloak on. She wore a black combat suit but her cloak was a blue color that came down below her knees, her sword was pretty much hidden since the cloak could come around and connect in the middle; covering her entire body.

She opened the hatch and got off the shuttle. She smiled slightly and looked at the Trandoshan who apperently was dumb struck at what he saw. "What? Never seen a shuttle like this before?" she grinned

It felt good to use her claws again.

Asri struck the training droid again, sparks from the metal on metal contact flying. The couple of months she had been without them had dulled her ability to use them and Rissonik gave her permission to utilize the private training room in the manor to hone her skills. When she wasn’t practicing her skills with the K’Zur she was either spending some alone time with Trazu or helping Trazu with the kids. She did get in some dancing when she could, but it was hard to find a place where she could dance in comfort and not be seen by the whole Clan. Trazu may have been fond of her new found talent, but she doubted many of the rest of the Clan would.

“Looks like the rumors were true…unfortunately.” A familiar voice said from the doorway. Asri turned to see Varcanna there, a scowl on her face. “You managed to make your way back here.”

“You almost sound…concerned Varcanna.” Asri said with a faint growl. “Worried I wouldn’t make it back?”

The scowl on Varcanna’s face deepened. “I’d miss you about as much I would miss a stomachache.” She hissed. “And I don’t know what spell you put on my brother, but I demand you give him his heart back.”

“So I’m a witch as well as an Akisi now? Gee I’m a girl of many talents and didn’t even know it.”

Varcanna growled and stepped closer to her. “I would like to know how by Scorekeepers clutch you had a daughter when you are as barren as I.”

Asri’s dark blue eyes narrowed with confusion. “I don’t have a daughter…you must be mistaken.” She said.

“Explain Lavality then.”

Now Asri looked even more confused. “She’s a human…she can’t be my daughter.”

“Not according to some medical files Uncle Riss, mother and myself were allowed to view recently.” Varcanna said, still snarling. “Lavality’s actually half T’Doshok and that T’Doshok is you.”

Now Asri’s eyes widened in total shock. She recalled when she was back on Naboo how Maskis mentioned that Lavality had Trandoshan DNA in her and more recently on Nar Shadda when Miknak himself referred to her as a ‘second donor’. My gods…that…explains....a lot of the oddities with her. It explained her fast healing rate, her low tolerance to the cold, and when she briefly had amnesia it gave reason as to why she thought Asri was her mother. It also explains why she feels so comfortable around me. She thought, closing her eyes.

“Why they would use your unworthy DNA is beyond me.” She heard Varcanna hiss.

Her eyes snapped open, her blue eyes full of fury. Quicker then Varcanna could blink Asri grabbed her by the vest, her claws piercing the leather material like paper and lightly scratching the flesh underneath. “I suggest you watch who you think is ‘unworthy’.” Asri growled in Varcanna’s face. “I am the daughter of Besk and I have bested him, white scaled and all. As much as I hated that T’Doshok I am thankful for the strength and intelligence his DNA gave me, for my mother might as well have been a tame, brainless nerf that did everything he asked. It was because I am Besk’s daughter that is the reason they used my DNA and no doubt they hoped my mother’s DNA would be a bit more prevalent so they could control Lavality better.” She grinned. “Well they were wrong.” She released her. “Barren we may both be…but now I have a future.” Her grin became more savage. “Thank you for the info…”
Not waiting for Varcanna to retort, which was doubtful with the dumbfounded expression that was now on the crimson female’s face, Asri strutted out of the training room. It was only after she was well out of Varcanna’s sight did she lean up against the wall and sigh, the full seriousness of the revelation sinking in. She had meant every word she said to Varcanna, but she had no idea how to act upon the information she had given her. Does even Lavality know? She thought. If not…it will be a shock to her.

“Lavality.” Rissonik said as he greeted the young Admiral on the grounds. “It’s good to see you again. For what reason is your visit?”

Lavality bowed to Rissonik. "Greeting, sorry if I'm intruding." she said and undid her cloak, it was getting rather hot underneath. "I don't mean to sound rude, however before we came here Lady Asri and Master Trazu and I where out trying to discover the location of the one who was constantly attacking your space."

She sighed. "Saddly he eluded us both times, but I have recently learned of a possible location. The thing is, I have no intention of going in there alone, and my marines wouldn't stand a hair of a chance there." with that she smiled. She was about to ask teh question when she heard Colonal Angella's voice.

"Admiral! Ma'am!" Angella said and saluted her. Lavality just smiled, Angella noticed something slightly different. "What's wrong?" she asked and Lavality just shook her head. "I'm glad to see you've been keeping things under control, I'm glad I choose you to be a liason." She said and turned back to Rissonik. "Is there anyway I may speak to Lady Asri and Master Trazu?" He asked her.

Outside the base, near the shuttle, a small droid wined across the surface and attached itself to the ramp and wormed it's way into the shuttle.

“Hmmm.” Rissonik rubbed his chin. “Lady Asri is brushing up on her fighting skills in the manor.” He said. “And my son is having a go at giving the kids a bath….I wonder if he’s wetter then the kids right now….” The elder Trandoshan chuckled.

~~~
Asri slowly made her way up to the bathroom where she knew Trazu had been planning on giving the kids a bath. She had offered to help him, knowing already how resistant one of them, Trissan, was to taking a bath, but Trazu was determined to do it on his own. He wants so badly to make up for time lost. She thought, carefully tugging off her K’Zur and setting them on a table. The white scaled Trandoshan couldn’t imagine the guilt he must have felt when he realized he missed out on so much with his kids. A hole that will be difficult to fill… She thought as she started to ascend the stairs.
The thought of kids brought up the revelation Varcanna just laid on her moments ago. How was she going to break this news to Trazu? How the heck will the kids take having a teenage half sister that looked human? Ziss…I’m not completely recovered from the shock. She thought.
She had just reached the top of the stairs when a small yellow ochre form burst out of the bathroom, zipped past her and charge down the stairs. Ut oh…trouble. She thought with a giggle as Trazu half-slipped, have ran out of the bathroom: he was drenched with soapy water.
“Trissan!” He called, looking not very amused at all. “Get back here!”
“Looks like he’s fixing to go streaking across the courtyard hun.” Asri said, observing the front door opening and closing.
“Oh great….” Trazu said with a sigh as he snatched up a towel. “Can you finish off the girls while I go round up a naughty boy?”
“Certainly love.” Asri said, then added with a mischievous grin. “You know…the wet shirt thing looks good on you…”
Trazu blushed faintly then jumped down to the ground floor to chase down his son.
Lavality smiled slightly. "Well, I'm sure he'll be fine." she said to Rissonik before hearing something, she turned around to see something running across the courtyard.
"Umm..... do.... errr...." she blinked a few times, then rubbed them to make sure she wasn't dreaming. "Is this normal?" she asked Rissonik as the small kid ran toward her
Rissonik turned around to see what Lavality was seeing and chuckled. "Well now...first time he managed to actually pull that stunt." He said as he prepared to catch the streaking Trissan.
It was then he spotted Trazu coming out of the manor. He watched as Trazu spotted Trissan and took off running at Force assisted speed. Still Trissan had such a lead on him that the youth was five feet away from Lavality before Trazu was able to tackle him.
"Have you no dignity son?" Trazu grumbled as he wrapped the boy up in the towel. Trissan struggled, growling and shouting 'no bath', the whole time.
"Of course not son." Rissonik said with a grin. "Kids that age don't understand the concept of dignity. I should have warned you that bathing Trissan is a two person job...."
"Asri never needed help..." Trazu grumbled, holding the now fully wrapped Trissan in his arms firmly.
To that Rissonik shrugged. "Well, she's a first then. Oh, when you are done getting soaked trying to finish his bath, Lavality here wanted to talk to you and Asri."
Trazu blinked and noticed Lavality for the first time. "I'm sorry..." He said slightly embarrassed. "I didn't notice you there before. I can guess what you are here for." He paused a moment, thinking. "If you don't mind waiting a few minutes in the manor while I finish Trissan's bath...."
"No bath." Trissan growled.
"Hush..." Trazu chidded him before continuing. "Both Asri and I will be available to talk."
Lavality agreed and Trazu made his way back to the manor, where Asri had finished bathing the girls and the girls were now playing in their play room. "Hun, can you help me finish this boy off?" Trazu asked her after entering the manor.
"Sure hun, I was half way expecting you to ask." Asri said with a smile. That smile dissappeared quickly when she saw Lavality enter the manor behind him. "Lavality." She said. "Good to see you again. Give us a few minutes and we'll be with you."
"What's wrong hun?" Trazu asked her in a whisper as they ascended the stairs. He had noticed immedately that something was on her mind concerning Lavality.
"Later." Asri said, almost sharply. "It's...a big one."
Trazu nodded, understanding. Fortunately between the two of them, Trissan stood no chance at getting out of the bath this time. After he was dressed and put in the playroom the met up with Lavality in the living room.
"I am assuming you found more information on Miknak's location and wish for us to help you track him down." Trazu said after taking a set.
Lavality nodded. "A recon ship reported a large bulid up of rogue seren ships above Korribon." she said and placed a holo disk on the table. An image of the planet and of Korribon appeared, along with it where several ships that orbited the planet. "I thought we could sneak in unannouced but apperently this will be both a space and ground battle."
The image then changed to a top/down view of the plains taken from the recon ship. "Miknak is controlling every one of these people, as much as I want to sway away from blood shed, I realize that for the space battle that just won't be possible." she said and looked up at the two. "You two have already helped me enough as it is, I owe you a debt of gratitude for saving my life. However, Miknak is not someone I can take alone, after what I saw on Nar Shadda." she said and rubbed her arm. It still hurt even though it's been awhile now.
She looked at Trazu, then at Asri. Something in Asri's eye's made her nervous, she tugged on her coller before clearing her throat. "We have enough ships to perhaps break the blockade above the planet, however I can't help but wonder if Miknak has 'other' surprise's instore for us." she said
"So...he'll know we are coming no matter what we do." Trazu muttered, rubbing his head.
"He must be up to something big if he's massing all his forces there." Asri commented, studing the image. "Perhaps he's fixing to stage an assault on our system?"
"Since we are now a part of the Coalition I seriously doubt he would be stupid enough to draw their ire." Trazu replied, shaking his head. "No, this looks more like he did this on purpose, to draw us to him."
"I see. He knows we want him dead and he no doubt wants to wipe out as much of what's left of the loyal Seren forces as possible. Bastard is using himself as bait for a trap...."
"A very obvious trap." Trazu growled. "However who knows what he's cooking up to make it so we have no choice but to walk right into it? I'd rather we strike him first before he unleashes what ever he's got planned...and I rather do it with minimal losses."
"Not sure how we can avoid that hun..." Asri said gravely. "He no doubt has tech that would detect stealthed ships...and those would be pretty much the only thing we can use to get through the blockade without a fire fight."
"Unless..." The wheels were turning in Trazu's head. "We do attack them head on."
"Huh? But isn't that what he wants?"
"And expects. He's also likely expecting us to get to him via stealth ships, so why not do a mix of both?"
"I get it now. Use the ships we have to distract the ships in orbit and while they are focused on them, we sneak in during the fire fight."
"Correct." Trazu smiled, pleased with himself: maybe there is a leader in him after all. "But of course you, Lavality, know him best of all. Does this little plan have merit to you?"
Lavality sat down and thought about it. "Only one of those ships have the sensors needed to detect a cloaked vessel." she stated and pointed at the ship that was patroling a good distance from the planet. "It's purely a sensor 'boat' with enhanced shields to make it survive long enough for reinforcements to arrive."
She grinned after she said that. "Although... I wonder if my ship will be able ot break that ship in two so that our stealth craft can disable and get onto the planet." she rubbed her chin while thinking. "we'll need more people for this, just the two of us still won't be enough to break through that shell of his. Any idea's?"
"In my experience a small group has a better chance of getting into a base then a large one...if you aim to do so without being detected that is." Asri said. "Which in my opinion would be the best option, once we get on the planet that is."
"When it comes the space battle part...we are rather clueless." Trazu said with a sigh. "We are ground fighters...not ship captains."
"I wonder if Tiosk would be able to help?" Asri asked offhandedly.
"A mission like this he would jump at, the risk taker he is." Trazu replied with a chuckle. "Unfortunately last I heard he is still 'grounded' by order of Admiral Balik."
"Doesn't mean he still can't give us advice though, right?"
"True. Getting to him will be a problem right now though. He's...a bit undercover being the commander of that station, making sure it doesn't fall under Miknak's hands." He looked at Lavality. "Though I imagine you know a way to get there without folks getting suspicous eh?"
