Knowledge Before Glory(Lupercus)

As the doors into the temple slammed shut before him the Zabrak did not flinch an inch. Instead he simply stood there looking as lifeless as could be, not a muscle of his form moved.

He did not leave the temple, for six days he waited. He never took a moment to sit, sleep nor eat within those six days.

For six days he placed his concentration on Lupercus, and for six days, he was pleased.

And on that sixth day, when the doors of the temple were slowly made to open, Zeta knew who slept.

Entering the temple, the Zabrak did not say a word as he moved toward Lupercus sleeping form.

From his belt he retracted food rations. He tossed the rations beside Lupercus' form and he waited as the other man slept.

Lupercus' journey was still not yet complete....

The smell of the dry rations brought the Sith to, eventually, his eyes bloodshot and his skin sallow and discoloured from the 6 days of near perpetual darkness. During that time he had tapped more than his share of power, the darkness of the many Sith of TNSO being drawn and absorbed by the temple.

And as the temple pulsated with power, so did Lupercus and thus, so did now the amulet.

He rolled, his eyes immediately falling to the forged weapons, before back to the food. He did not eat, merely sitting up to look at Zeta, who had returned.

"It is done..."

No movement occurred from Zeta. He remained the lifeless statue, looking down upon Lupercus, failing to acknowledge the others hard work.

He kept his gaze that way for the longest time; finally he let go of his reluctance. He'd made the Hapan wait long enough.

"So it is, Lord Lupercus."

Lupercus pulled himself onto his knees as he picked up the sword and amulet. Bowing his head, he offered up the sword to Lord Zeta. It lay on his palms, allowing the Sith to look upon the weapon. He turned it over slowly, offering the handle to the Zabrak.

"For the Order, Lord Zeta."

He took the weapon within his hands, turning it from side to side for a brief moment as he did so.

So it was that Zeta could have taken the well-crafted sword to be his own. However, that would have been perhaps too predictable.

The Zabrak did not pride himself on greed, perhaps power, but only the kind of power that the darkside had to offer him.

"For the Order," he said as he placed the sword back into the other's hands.

"Keep it, along with everything else you've earned upon this journey for it will all serve you well on your travels."

Lupercus nodded, accepting the sword and reaching around to pick up the mask and the amulet. Rising to his feet, he stood face to face with the Sith Lord, its tatoos seeming alive with power.

"Of course.

But what now?"

The question was a stupid one, but his brain lacked the energy to identify that fact. Smiling bovinely, he awaited an answer.

"What now?"

A quizzical gaze swept over Zeta, yet he seemed to size the other Siith up at the same time.

"You continue as you have, I suppose though now with a new found power. New gates have opened for you, enter them and learn. You still have much to show this galaxy, Lupercus. The future is yours, just as much as The Naboo Sith Order is."

Lupercus nodded, momentarily missing the last sentance. As his brain caught up with his ears, he beamed inwardly.

"Thank you Lord Zeta."

He bowed his head again.

"But perhaps we should return to the Temple. These artifacts will be ensonced in the Councils chambers that we may always have access to them."

He slung the blade over his shoulder, strapping it to his back, then placed the mask over the top of it. Finally he placed the amulet around his neck and as the chain touched his neck, he felt the cold pulsation power of the talisman. Immediately rejuvinated, he smiled a Zeta.

"Shall we?

The future awaits..."

"Let's..."

Rather then moving to walk ahead or behind, the Zabrak instead walked along side the other. Lupercus had earned his place beside the rest of the Lords within the galaxy.

Lupercus had completed his trials for Lordship with ease, but there was still much more work to be done. The Naboo Sith Order still needed much molding, with Lupercus rise in power; Zeta knew that it would not be long before The Naboo Sith Order brought true power across the galaxy once again.
