From the cieling several more panels opened up. And from the ceiling a panel droped. The Panel was a rack with every conceavable Melee weapon that you could think of. Blas-swords, Vibro-blades of all kinds, vibro lances like you only find in the Royal guards, and every kind of practice sword.

Vonta selected two Kendo blades, and two bo-staffs.

"Sorry to dissappoint you my freind. But this is also a use ful skill. And the first that you must learn if you ever wanted to take the path of the Aiki."

Kenshin nodded as he watched her select a few weapons off the rack that had appeared from the ceiling.

"It's okay...I understand."

He waited for her to give instructions.

"Take the bo staff in hand. The Tool is one that is not unusual until you make it so." She Took the staff and placed it in his hands.

"The force is a thing that exists all around you. But this is a technique that requires a focus of force energys into a single source." She closed her eyes.

"Now imagine that their is a well of force energy in side of you. Right now it is a steady stream but focus your energy pool it up into your very center."

Kenshin took the bo-staff in his hand. He was familiar with its use and the touch of one brought back memories. He pushed these thoughts to the back of his mind and concentrated on what Vonta said. Kenshin nodded at what she told him and closed his eyes. He slowly began gathering all of his Force energy to his center.

"Now tell me how this feels to channel the force. Is it a flow? Is it difficult to maintain a steady flow of energy?" She asked the progress of the move. The padawan must feel out his movments.

"The Energy here well need to be able to flow from you in mass. So tell me how does it feel?"

"The gathered energy is a big pulsing ball."

Kenshin answered softly, his mind still exploring the possiblities of this gathered energy.

"Good focus the power through your hands and into the weapon. The focus must be on the molecular level. The energy that you have stored must be strethed through every aspent of the staff you are trying to empower." Vonta begain the process her self.

As she spoke the staff in her hand begain to glow in a iredecent blue. Signifiying a focus of the energy.

"In a way you are making the object a part of your self. A extension of your will that manifests itself with the force."

With his eyes closed, Kenshin took a small strand of energy and weaved it through his arm to the staff. He then strengthened the Force flow into a cable and the Force slowly but steadily gathered in the staff.

the staff glows faintly. "There good maintain the strength of your will. Make the staff a part of your self. Like an extension of your arm."

Vonta Feels him struggling. "Remember there is no try to this. Believe that you can do this and it well be so."

'To treat it as an extension of your arm.' That phrase sounds familiar somehow...

Kenshin suddenly gets a quick flashback:

A young Kenshin, probably about 12 years of age, stands in the middle of a forest clearing. A man, about 30 or so, had an asian sword in his hand and was moving around in swift, fluid motions. He suddenly stops and hands the ancient blade to Kenshin.

Kenshin took a moment to dwell on the memory. He mumbled to himself.

"It should be the same concept."

He held the staff in front of himself once more. But this time instead of a steady cable of energy, he envisioned it as a huge gust of wind or a giant wave. The staff suddenly became bright being fully charged, but faded to a low glow when the huge wave receded.
