Judgement of a path: Observer's reckoning
  • Posted On: Apr 5 2003 5:41am
Vonta stands at the ready. She was ready to die protecting the innocents in her care from death. The Two Sith were over whelming her in shere force that she could barely counter. Had Just only countered with consequences.

Her armor was being torn to tatters. And her abilities were waning No matter how she talked she was using her abilities to their utmost limitations. As the two came for a final attack She saw her life flash before her eyes. An act of the force?

Perhaps. They seemed as it they were moving in a slow motion holo-picture scene. The Evil foes as they are about to cut the hero down with a fatal blow. Then she became aware of a shimmering around her and a energy of sorts that flowed through her every molicule. She felt some thing like it when she phase shifted through solid matter. Passing her molicules through it by shifting slightly into another dimension of space and time.

But this was different she was not the one controling this it was coming from some where 'else' infusing her with energys that she did not reconize. Or ever encounter in her journeys.

The feeling increased. The evergy was pouring over her like a rain in spring. The shimmering appeared to manifest itself in her hands. As she glanced at them. She was becoming immaterial. Somehow, someone was trying to end her life. She could not allow it. The energy's that were trying to claim her were just that energy. She begain to absorb it taking it in to her being. She flickered for a moment. returning to her present state but the flow of energy did not stop it was endless as the force.

All at once she begain to fade in a shimmering light even faster then before. Vonta was losing the fight againest the unknown opponent but she was not willing to go when she knew innocents would die in her stead.

As she shimmered into nothing all that the sith could hear was the last echo of her seemingly last word.

"No!!!" As it echoed through otaa Gunga until it was only a memory.

-----------------

Darkness envelopes the Observer Jedi, there is no conscious thought now. Only the black nothingness of oblivion. The battered jedi Vonta Horn is hurt. The last fight with Chikama and his allie left her drained and near the breaking point of her strength.

Did Chikama finnally do me in? She thinks to herself.

Am I dead? It was the one thought that concerned her at that moment. The last thing that she remembered was...
what was it. She trys to remember but there is a cloud over her mind.

Did a light saber or stray disupter bolt end her life?

That would indeed explain it. Analyzing the situation in her own way. Decyphering the answer with a likely hypothesis in her mind.

A disrupter bolt would vaporize all matter in it's path. Desintegrating it down to the molecular level. Now if it caught me it could have vaporized the entirity of my body. The force energies would be set free from her body and she would be one with the force. She concluded.

She continues her inner dialague; But this cannot be the force the force is filled with life. All my experiences tell me this. With every use of the force she could feel the life of all things around her that made up the force. This...this...place, if it was truely a place in the sense that she knew in a matter anti matter universe, was a void. With nothing at all within it. It could not be the force then what.......

Her thought dwindled as she recalled the foreign energy that she felt in the underwater Gungan city. The glimmer of her body as she felt her self being absorbed or, taken by some unknown factor. She was taken by some unidentified foe.

Why? Why would any one do such a thing Then it dawns on her with a single thought. Krath

The dark force beings that were gathering a cult of force users to work their evil through. The Krath live in the force (Vonta theorized that they are the sentient manifestations of the force used for evil means.) recently they had started acampaign to destroy key targets. They were also culling force users to use as pawns in thier sick game. With their particular powers they could make a force weilder one of their deciples. They had almost succeeded in taking vonta but she barely managed to make it through that trial with her light intacted. She almost fell to the darkness.

Krath cannot, they will not have me! She screamed out loud.

At least she tried to speak. She found that she could not make a sound. She tried again.

No sound escaped her lips. Infact she could not tell if she was moving her lips at all. She tried her arms and then the rest of her body.

She could not move at all! Not one centimeter!

What is happening! What manner of force power is this?!! She screams in her mind.

This oblivion held her body in stasis yet let her mind roam free. Where-ever she was going she was going to have to ride this particular trap to its end.

It seemed like an eternity that Vonta floated in the dark void that was her shapeless, lightless, prison.

She could not move one muscle in this...other place. Purhaps it was some other dimension. Like that of her abliity to force shift through solid matter by phasing her bodys moleculer energy bonds slightly into another dimension of space. Purhaps this was a consequence of using such a power. It was as likely an answer as any that she had thought of.

All at once there was a familiar tingling sensation in her body again. She felt the energy that pulled her from the middle of Otta Gunga flowing through her again. Slowely she felt it fill every molicule of her body, like a vase slowely filling with water. She gained more conciousness of her body the more energy her body recieved. Synapses in her mind recconect with the connections to first her bones, followed by her nervous system, the internally organs, muscle fibers, and finally her outer epidermous layer.

The Energys were nearing the full point. When her body could hold no more. The moment she felt the fullness of that energy she felt an atmosphere forming around her form. All at once she materialize in mid-air. She fell to the ground cruppling under the wieght of her own body and landing ungracfully with a painful thud that resounded as an echo in the air.

At once her injurys became apparent as she used the force to bring her senses into focus. Her trenchlike coat was in tatters, one shoulder was missing and it was covered with slash marks left over from light saber and dagger cuts. Of which lacerated her skin.

Pushing her self up from a face down position she crawled to her feet. Each step echoed in her new accomadations. She was in some kind of cavernous room that much she surmised from the echo. The area around her was dimmly lit. All that she could see was the ground around her and that was colored a brick red.

From around her she heard a soft rustleing. Movment. from all sides.

"Who is there?" She manages to say although quite weakly.

No answer came. Only unfamiliar sounds. She felt danger from behind. Instantly she drew her Teepo blaster set to stun. She was too weak to manage anyother defense. She pointed it in the general direction of the threat. She was about to pull the trigger when she felt the blaster becoming incorporeal, suddenly, the blaster sparkled briefly and then vanished from her hand.

She stood there in the tattered and battle worn clothing. Standing with her hand holding empty air. She held a look of bewilderment in her eyes. She saw that she was at a tatical disadvantage. Her new keepers were able to teleport matter, or desintegrate it with a precision that she had never seen before, She thought that the latter was imposible her hand would have been lost with the weapon. She slowely moved and removed her light saber slowely. Makeing sure that she was not being threatening. Holding it with only two fingers she laid it on the ground closely followed by her Aiki Akendo wooden sword.

She came up from kneeling and her weapons disappeared yet again. From all around her she heard the echoing of clicks and clacks, licks and other variable high pictched noises.

"I have no querel with who ever you are." She holds her hands up and continues,"I am a jedi, sworn to protect the universe. To harm another with out provacation is not in my code of conduct."

She had no idea if they understood her but she had to say something.

You are a jedi? A voice spoke out in basic.

She looked curiously at the group. No she still only heard the curious noises all about her and there was no echo in the voice she heard. They were using telepathy. A force power to be sure but there are races that can use telepathy as well. She was not sure if these people were of the force. She felt nothing from the living beings around her to indicate a force sensitive.

"Yes I am a trained Jedi." She answers matter of factly.

The voice continues. But are you not also a member of the Jensaarai and of the endangered Aiki tradition?

She could not lie. She turns to face the speaker.

Or where she felt the speakers voice coming from.

"I am a member of those orders as well." Answering truthfully.

There was a louder chitter around her that was silenced by a louder one after a moment.

You claim to be of many orders and yet you answer to jedi? This is not possible to be all and yet one. Came the retorical remark.

Vonta was tired of this questioning game and let her captures know it. "Yes I study the old ways and make them my own. That is my way and my mission as a jedi...uhhh..." She trails off as her enjurys catch up to her making her feel dizzy.

Regaining her composer, "I...I am a seeker of the old ways as it is demanded of me by the force. Now I well not answer any more of your questions until you tell me why you have brought me here!"

There was silence for a moment. Vonta stood in the dim light that surrounded her and prevented her from seeing anything out side of the 10 meter boundery set by the light. All at once the light was restored to normal settings used by most sentients. And for a moment she was blinded. She blinked at the light as see as her pupils dialated to adjust.

What came to focus was a strange sight. In her journys and travels she had never seen such creatures as those that sat in seats before her.

These beings looked more akin to animals that sentients. They looked as if they were built to be quadrapedal. Though they sat up right in their seats. Their heads and bodys were generously covered in bone-like plates that seemed to be natural. Their eyes were large, easily the size of her fist.
Large eyes mean keen sight. No wonder they did not mind the darkness. She saw that each had a third limb flaping about in some fashion, as bone as the rest of the body. A tail purhaps? Several toungue like appendages seemed to be making the noise that she heard.

There were ten of them, total. One in-particular stood up from his seat the the rest reguarded him with quiet respect. Beside him sat her saber and other weapons that were teleported away.

We are the Aing-Tii guardians of the Kathol rift and defenders of the force. We have been watching you Ms. Horn from the first time that you felt your calling to seek out the old ways. Seeking them out and finding them with, shall we say, far too much success. He looks at her weapons again before continuing.

Some secrets from the past are best left barried. With that in mind we brought you here to learn if you are worthy of wielding the secrets you may find in the coming days.

The Aing-Tii?!!! She thought with great surprise. She had heard whisperings about them in her studies but she never expected to find any. But why bring me here.......

She wanted to ask them but she felt the last of her force strength waver and she fell forward into unconscousness.

Days, hours, minutes it was all the same to Vonta as she woke from a dreamless sleep. She immediately sat up right.

Glancing from side to side she found that she was in a place other then that cavernous hall that she was in originally. It appeared to be a smallroom. A flourescent type of off white light illuminated the room from a singular source on the cieling. It was circular, with a diameter of roughly 15 meters. She was laid out in a bed and was covered only in a blanket. Infront of her was a doorway shaped like an arch.

The layout of the room struct her as curious. More orgainic then technological. But the analysis of the new architectual style would have to wait. She gathered her blankets and make a make shift robe. She turns and rises from the bed as queitly as posible.

The ease in which she rises surprises her. Last thing she remembered was passing out from injurys so dire that even the reinforcement of the force was not enough to keep her counscious.

Escape is not a reccomended course of action Ms. Horn.

Turning on her left foot she faces the unexpected presence that speaks to her. Holding her blanket/robe with one hand she strikes a defensive stance. On the other side of the bed sits one of the mysterious animal-like Aing-tii. The voice in Vonta's head is female. She saw several of them before but she could not identify as of yet any sex differences.

Fighting me is not reccomended either. Consider this, if you managed to get past me what would you do? Find an escape pod to get a message to allies? Fight off every last one of us until you gain control of this vessel? She puases for effect letting the silence hang in the air.

How do you expect to run from a capture that kiddnaped you from thousands of light years away?

Vonta had no words to answer that this sentients argument was sound. There was no place to run from a race of teleporters. She drops her defensive posture. her body relaxing and her free hand falling beside her thigh.

"I would at least like to know why I am naked and where my clothes are." She states in resignation of her current situation.

I knew that you would be a smart one. Came the lilting female voice that spoke in Vonta's mind.

You were injured when you arrived and we had to heal you. It was neccessary to remove your clothing.

The female raised her hand gesturing at the bed. An area shimmered for a moment and then solidified into a small bundle of cloth.

Your clothing is mended as well as we could manage.

Vonta went to the bundle finding her shirt, pants shoes, trench coat, and even her cortosis body armor. Upon closer examination she saw that it all looked brand new as if it had never seen the combat that had left if in tatters.

She glances at her capture indicating that she wanted to dress without a pair of pry eyes.

Ah yes of course. The female Aing-tii looked away as vonta dressed her self.

That done she continues on.

"Now, Aing-tii," She experiments with the word still perplexed that the famed force teleporters would seek her out, "I would like to know what bussiness do you have with me that would justify kiddnapping?"

Your mission of course. She answers matter of factly.

"My mission?" The human answers.

There was a brief silence the, armor plated head and large eyes seemed to wonder off into thought for a moment before continuing. You seek out what was lost and what more you seek it out with the guidence of teh force. The force has many shades and has existed for as long as life has romed the galactica spanses. There were those that harnessed the force before any of the current orders begain. In these times the force was used and harnessed as a weapon in many cases. With unbridled destructive potential. Other darker sects have powers that are so horible that they are best left lost. You seek to find all that is lost so far you hae found that which is connected to the light. But we must be sure that you are ready for the trials that you well face in the future.

The human jedi took in every word digesting each consequence and meaning. "And should I prove unworthy?"

The female looked away. We well cross that path if it comes to that.

Come the council has summoned you. The arch-way door slides open. And Vonta exits her quarters with an ominous feeling in her gut.

The study percussive thump bump of combat boots was all that vonta the Observer Jedi could hear on her way to this court of the Aing-Tii that was about to judge her. The female Aing-tii that accompanied her moved soundlessly as if she were not even there. The shear size of this creature seemed to belie it's grace. She was a rather large creature. Vonta extimated her to wiegh in at around 300 to 600 pounds.

Her garmets felf slightly heavier. That told her that the gravity here was more then the galactic average. She shakes her head. Observations about her captors biology can wait for another time, now she must focus on her current situation.

She was being judges for the crime of being a seeker of the old ways. No, not really judged in the sense that she commited a crime. She was being judged at her worthiness to
use that knowledge that she finds wisely.

Taking up a postition directly behind her escort she stared at the sentient burning a figurative hole in her head. This one that she followed, when asked about the consiquences of failing to meet the standerds of the Aing-tii avoided directly answering the question of what her fate would be if she proved unworthy.

That could mean any number of things. From death, to exile, to merely being watched and forced into complying in the future. None of those options suited her well.

They had been walking for 10 minutes when they came to another arched door way not unlike that of her quarters.

She entered and immediately she noticed the echo of her foot steps as she took her first steps inside. The harmonics of this room were amazing to the Observer. Her light click-clacking boots were magnified so that it resounded with brillant clarity through out the room.

Even the barest whisper was brought out into the open. That applied to all present. There was also the steady clicking and high pitched noises that she had heard upon her arrival and assumed made up the Aing-tii language.

The lights brightened and she found herself in the center of a circle of seated Aing-Tii. This was a the very spot that she first arrived. Injured and barely counscious.

The female Escort spoke telepathically, Vonta assumes that it is for her benifit.

Good members of the council She waved her hand in a circle to include all ten of the seated beings. I come before you today to defend the accused, Observer Jedi Vonta Horn on the count of seeking out the ancient and lost ways of the force.

The largest of the ten seated near the center of the council from vonta's perspective answers. Very well advocate we the Council of elders reconize this observers right to a defense. Please begin.

Vonta was perplexed? This female was her council? But she did not say much any thing about her stance since the started talking just minutes ago. How was she to defend herself if she did not know what the count is as stated by the council?

She grimaced this was going to be a very interesting proceeding.

The large animal like female that was Vonta'a unexpected concil for the defense paraded in from of the seated Aing-tii Counsil of Ten that, it would seem would act as both Judge and Jury in these proceedings.

-Judge, jury and...purhaps executioner?- The thought made the Observer Jedi all the more uncomfortable. She did her best not to let anyone see how discomforted all this made her. Inside she was confused and perplexed outside she maintained a stolid, quite, grace in posture and in face.

Good members of the Ruling Ten. The defender looked around the ring of seated beings.

Observer Vonta Horn today stands before you accused of crimes that she has yet to commit. As all of us can feel she is a member of the forces of the light. Through all of her trials she has been maintained always within th... A flurry of clicks and chirps of a distinctly different pattern and pitch then the Observer had heard previously.

This Female Jedi has yet to prove that she is worthy enough to not be tempt by the Darkness. 3 seats over from the long bearded leader the telepathic bass of a male's deep voice interrupts the female counsil. Enough with speculation. That should be saved for the deliberations.

There was a rumble of noise as other members of the ten spoke out as well. The noise was almost unbearable but Vonta draws slightly on the force to bear the assualt of high pitched noise on her ears.

The hand of the Bearded Aing-tii in the center raises his hand. At once there was silence.

Out breaks like this well not be tolerated. I well not allow the Ten nor the accused to do so. He looks around at his compatriots and then at the female Aing-tii. But they are correct. Stick to the opening statments and save your arguments for the defense period.

She Nods. Yes my ledge.

The lone human took note of this leader of the Aing-tii. She was astounded at what she felt. He was a tremendous power in his own right. When he spoke to quel the dispute she felt him express his shear force strength. It was more that she had ever felt from any of the previous master level jedi that she had seen.

The defense statments continue. I well contend that the accused is able to deal with the challenges that she may well face in the future

The old one spoke. Miss Horn we bring you here before the counsil of Ten to determine if you are worthy of the path that you seem to have chosen in the force. It may well be the will of the force that you have been chosen to ressurect the old ways but none-the-less. The Aing-tii must be sure that you are worthy of your paths that have yet to come to pass.

We apologize for taking you againest your will but it was necessary to bring you before us. We have healed your wounds as well to make sure that you are well enough for you to properely defend yourself. His words seemed kind and he meant what he said. Vonta felt it in the force. But she still did not like her options. We shall begin then

There was that same bass voice speaking psycicly in her head began. You, The Self styled Observer Jedi, have been searching out the old sects of the force. Correct?

The human looked at her consil. The Aing-tii next to her nodded that she had permission to speak. "That is correct."

And you have sought out how many sects so far? He continues. There is an arragance to his voice that alerts Vonta that this one had an almost personel grudge in this case.

"I have found 4 so far. The Teepo Palidins, the last remanant of the Aiki order, and the non-force users the Teras Kasi, and lastly the Jensaarai." She waits for a reply.

Those would all be Sects of the light. What about of the Dark?

"Months ago I had my first encounter with a Dark force group Known as the Krath." She finished.

So you have met five not four new sects.

"I have learn from four sects. But I have only come to personelly study four." She did not like how this made her look.

Mmm, yes. I have no more questions my ledge. Ending his line of questioning.

The female at vonta's side begain to speak in Vonta's defense.

So it is true that you encountered this Dark force sect. Did you learn from them at all? She stood looking straight at her.

"I had an altercation with the Krath." Vonta puases she wants to be carefull of how she phrases this, "The Krath are a predatory sect of force users that convert force users by means that I have yet to understand to their cuase."

So you had first hand experience with them The female askes.

"I have, I was held prisoner by the Krath for a time and almost converted into becomeing one of them." She stops; The silence is broken by soft chirps and clicks.

PLease continue He defense encouraged.

"Came to a planet in the Unknown regions following a vision from the force showing me that I would find allys there. Once there I recieved a distress signal from the planet. I went alone in a fighter craft. Once there I shot done a Krath energy weapon that was firing on light siders who I later found out were the Teepo Palidin force sect. I organized a defense plan with them a small group would go to the Krath's main fortress and destroy their base with charges. We succeeded in destroying one of their attack ships. Delaying a further attack but I and several other teepos were captured.

The most disturbing part of it was that the other Palidins reconized their compatriots among the Krath that we encountered and engaged. I was captured and was set againest within the force. Something in the force tried to turn me to the dark side." Vonta begain to grimace she did not like to ponder this subject the experience was painful.

And how did you deal with it Observer? She said in her mind.

The telepathic raport was starting to give her a head ache. She was a very powerful telepath Jedi. What could all this mind talk be.......

The train of thought went off. And all at once the room of the Aing-tii faded She was in black again. "What? What happened? Someone answer me!"

No one answers. All at once she finds her self strapped down to a table. In a room of stone a man with Dark robe and a green medallion began chanting above her. All at once the darkness begain assualting her again.

"No. NOT Again! Not Again!" She cries out struggling againest her bonds.
  • Posted On: May 20 2003 3:07am
Shackles rattle as Vonta pulls at the entanglments. Thrashing about like her life was at stake. Above her a man in a black robe chanted softly while he held a Green medalion over her head. With each and every word a dark power that resonated from the metal disk reverberated in the force. Gathering it's strength for some dark deed that Vonta knew quite well.

Her lith body writhed and spasmed against the table that held her and the bonds that held her wrist and ankles.

"No! Not again! I well not let it happen again!" She spit the words out at her capture. He continues unrelenting in his chanting with an unbroken rythm that speaks of the danger to come.

Upon the Meddalion was the image of a dragon. A dragon of the force, of the darkness. Her two black pupils focus upon that creature. The darkside was gathering it's strength. Hoping to take her as it's deciple against her will.

"Enslavers!" She yells out vehemitly, "You tried to take me once! And you lost to me then as you well now!"

The dragon eyes glow neon green. As if it was itself reanimating and coming to life. Green light that exuded dark energies.

For a moment Vonta held it's steely gaze as if dragon and woman were testing one another.

Looking at it the dragon seemed to leap from the metal prison that held it. Traveling on the green light to Vonta and her very soul. The last thing that she sees one of those green eyes entering her's.

------------------

All was dark when vonta awoke next.

--What happened.-- She looked about her noticing that she was still on the dungeon slab but her shackles were no longer there to hold her.

With a deft spring she was on her feet. She was on the table but...

Looking around her she noticed for the first time that a thick fog permiated the air. One so thick that she could see no more then a couple of yards in any direction. She moved through the fog away from the table.

--This is wrong.-- She move with the sound of each foot step marking her movment with an echo that rings out into the mist.

For two minutes she moves forward expecting to find a wall for her to follow to the door way. Finding nothing she reaches out to the force to gain a feel for the size of the room. Inside she grasps at her connection to the force to lend her it's power.

But she does not find the familiar safty of the light side greating her instead she finds a darkness clinging to her light!

Around her the mist takes on an errie green light. A sickly green like she noticed came right before a bad storm on most planets. It grew brighter by the minute. Rays of green light was begining to pierce the fog. She felt herself falling from the light.

The correlation was obvious to her.

--This light started when I reached out to the force! Have to pull...BACK!!--

She cut her connection to the force again, the light fades away until she can only see faint white light to guide her way.

Some aspect of the darkside that has taken hold of her connection to the force. She pulled back before she was consumed by it.

--Damn!-- She thinks as she falls to her knees panting in exhuastion, --I'm on the astral plane! And something is here with me.--

"Yes Jedi." A deep voice boomed from out in the fog, "very perceptive of you to relize that."

She turns towards the voice walking towards what sounded like the source.

"Yes, yes that's right follow my voice and learn of you fate." The voice continued almost mocking her to continue.

Ahead of her the light changed from white to a mix of white and green. Suddenly the fog parts and infront of vonta is a small tear like hole cut into the air it self. In that hole was a strange sight. A dragon of Dark green light was holding the tear open with it's two front paw's The Things snout just peaked out into the mist the two glowing emerald eyes glowed with a the life that Vonta had sensed in the eyes of the Medallions dragon.

"Welcome Slave, Welcome to your new eternity!" It hissed at her.
  • Posted On: Jun 25 2003 2:29am
There in front of her was the Emerald dragon that she faced when the Krath tried to take her over. It's body did not seem to be solid as it used it's claws to continue to pry the tear that appeared to come out of the very air ever further open. It was more like a being made of solid green flame that lapped and spit green embers as it stuggled to maintain it's hold in this reality.

"Krath." she spat the word more then spoke it. With as much disdain as an insult.

The Krath dragon cocks it's head to one side. "Yessss...Krath. Once we almost possessed you but we shall have you yet."

This thing was an evil Krath given form. The beings reside in the force itself. Living for the chance to try and gain a foot hold into normal reality.

"I left you behind once and I can do it again!" She cries out at the demon before her.

She feels every ounce of her body growing heavy the creature was trying to draw the force from her to gain power over her. With each passing moment the spatial rift grows larger.

"Really? You defeated us? He-he, did you really? Or did you simply escape before the process was finished!!" It mocked her.

She felt her left leg buckle beneath her.

"I-I did-I know-that I...That I did!" She cries out. She fights to remember how she managed to resist them before. But the memory eludes her.

The Portal opens enough that the Green flamed dragon fits one clawed foot through it, "No you never held us back you merely were snatched away before you were ours. Yessssss, but now you are ourssss. Yesssssss."

The Other leg gave out and vonta was forced to fall on to both knees.

"I...did." She said weakly, "I...Kkn-knnow...I did."

She clenchs her fists. Her face contorts with the strain of trying to remember something that she connot recall. The look on her face belies that of a person that must complete a task with death as the price of failure. The portal opens enough for the dragon to fit it's other foot through. Now it has half its body through. Those shining emerald eyes never leave the Observer's fallen form.

"Yessssss, That isss it! Give me all of your deliciousSSSS strength!" It hisses out.

Vonta is desperate she is covered in sweat and a tear falls down her cheek.

"I did." She says with a whisper.

Almost immediatly in the recesses of her mind a small light seems to shine for but a moment.

"I did," She says normally now. The Brief light blinks once and then shines brighter and brighter until it is as bright as a sun.

"I DID!!!!!!!" She yells with spirit.

By now the Krath had pulled itself entirely through the rift. It's tail was the last thing to drag it's way through to vonta's side of the portal. The eriee green light that the dragon emmited lite vontas form.

"You are mine now." It states as it brings it's head to eye level with hers.

She does not look up to meet its gaze. She just smiles and says, "We shall see."

From behind her a new light appears. Deep crimson red.

"Eh?" the Krath feels this new prescence. With out warning From out of nowhere a Flaming feline jumps over Vonta's head and right onto the dragons head. The Krath reared back onto it's two hind legs it's wings flare out behind it. It shakes it's head trying to dislouge this new threat. With it's last violent shake it tosses the crimson red cat up only to have it fall back onto the dragons back.

A shreek came from the sky piercingly high pitched. An eagle fell from the sky upon the giant dragon. It was adorned in bright green flames that gave a feeling of rebirth rather then ominous death as were the flames of the dragon. Talons out stretched it slashed at the draconic wings.

The eagle was followed by a blue streak of light. The light blur moves around the great beast leaving cuts of blue flame on each and every pass that it made on the green dragon. It flew into the air puasing just long enough to take aim. This blur was infact a small falcon of blue flames. Flying with great speed and deadly accuracy.

Lastly there was the sound of huffs stomping accross this abyssmal plane. A stallion of yellow light speeds in to join the fight. Yellow flames are left in it's wake as it plummets into battle with it's compatriots. It comes to a dead stop in front of the krath whining loudly as if issuing a challenge. It rears onto it's hind legs and with its front hooves it delivers several dozen kicks to the krath's chest.

The dragon is thrown off balance from this unexpected onslaught and falls back wards.

The four creatures places them selves between the Krath dragon and Vonta.

"I did resist you Krath." She slowely rises to her feet the horse and lion both attempt to help her up the red lion nudging her from behind and the yellow stallion offers her his head to balance on, "With all of the shades of the force that I possess I resisted you. Blue teepo with it's speed and accuracy, Green Jensaarai representing my free spirit that always wants to fly, Red Aiki that is a fierce fighter and yet gentle as a burden beast, and noble yellow jedi the first of the force arts that I learned."

She pats the Horse that possesses the Yellow flames of the Jedi within her, "I possess all these flames within me."

The Krath shakes his head and slowly rises to his feet eyeing each and every new apparition, "I do not care how many guard you they are weak where as I am strong."

"The many are not dissonant. Not within me." The creatures move infront of her again. the birds hover above the two ground creatures. Each one begins to lose it's shape becoming nothing more then the flame that gave each of them form and substance.

They flow into each other, blending, changing. The colors unite until there is nothing left but a blinding white flame. This flame begins to take shape. The shape of another dragon.

"IN me the light of so many becomes my strength and the light of the force burns that much brighter for me." The White dragon looks at the dragon of green flames. Already hurt from the first attact it looks at this new foe and cowers. Sensing equal strength to his own.

"You may have gained your freedom today Observer! But there is ALWAYS TOMMARROW!" It screams at her over his shoulder as he retreats back through his portal. The dragon of white flame breaths fire upon the rift and as the flame dissipates the rip in the air is mended.

Vonta looks at her protecter. "Thank you."

That is the last thing she says as she is pulled back to reality.

Vonta awakens from her waking nightmare on her knees.

The Female Aing-ti acting as her defense was at her side.

Observer! OBSERVER! Ms. Horn are you all right?!! The high pitched femenine voice that she heard in her head sounded full of concern.

Her form had been unmoving for the last thirty minutes. Kneeling on the ground she was all but limp as a corpse. Only her position that she landed in kept her from crumpling to the floor. Slowely the lone human opens her eyelids, blinking once and then several more times to adjust to the presence of light after it's long absence while trapped behind flesh eyelids.

Vonta raises her head. Coherency swiftly returning.

"I-I am all right." she stammers out.

There is a warmth of relief that comes from her councilor. Vonta was somewhat surprised to realize that this one held such concern for her well being. The female nodds her mouth parts vibrate quickly and her body begins to tremble.

What were you, the members of the TEN thinking?!! My client could have been lost to the darkside forever to satisfy your curiousity about her!! Her voice was different from before. Where as she had sounded like a prim a prober defense lawyer she no sounded openly defiant with a rightous rage. As if she would risk being disciplined to show her outrage at some action.

To satisfy this ruling you 4 of the Ten She reffered to the male that had spoken againest Vonta, You would have risked her fall to the darkness! We are here to see that she does not fall to the dark that would be best left un disturbed! Not try and see her fall to that which we fear.

The sound from her is fast paced decibles of clicks and whistles. Her mouch parts were dancing about with her empowered speech.

She is here to be tested of her worth. Our presence triggered some darkness within her and what better way to test ones worth againest the darkness then to see how they fair first hand. He was followed by a rucus of sound. Vonta could not hear it all. Bust she felt most of them had either agreed fully or at least reluctantly.

The defense stands firm, And so she has proven her worth. Pushing back one of the darknesses of old.

Push back but not utterly defeated! She could still yet fall pray to... That mental bass resounded in her head only to be interrupted by the Old one again. All fell to deafening silence.

She has indeed proven her worth to us now. 4 of ten I well not hear any more out burst from our ruling council. Now Ms. Horn, you showed a great resiliency today as we looked on. How did you manage to do such a feat? In her head his was the voice of her father. Calm and collected with all the power and presence to command the attention of legions of followers.

Vonta rises to one knee then the other slowely standing to her feet.

"I am Vonta Horn, the Observer Jedi, the force has called me to bring balance to the force by bringing its users together. I am a pratitioner of many different paths, of many different shades of the force. Those sepparate entities are different; yet they are still all of the force.

I simply learned to accept them all into my self. Taking the best of all to make a purer understanding of the force. Giving be the insight to bring those differences together in peace. The darkness from the dark side itself came after me, and as I did once before, I united all the shades with in me to bring about a greater whole to push back the darkness." She finished.

So the Observer proves her worth to us. She is capable of pushing back the Darkness. I move to ajorn these procedings on the basis that our thougts of her unwoth were unfounded and as such she should be promptly released from our custody The female councilor finishes.

The opposing Aing-ti, council member 4 of ten, raised his 'mind voice' in his defence. His telepathic voice blended together with the natural tones of the Aing-tii language of clicks and other noises.

She proved nothing excepted that she is as corruptable as any other being. That she has not the worth to... 4 of 10 is abruptly cut off by a third presence nothing more then a feeling in the force but it was as powerful as vonta suspected the old master yoda was when he was at his best.

Silence gripe the proceedings. The oldest of the council was the source. All turn to listen.

Enough he commanded more then he spoke, I well not allow any members of these proceedings to turn this in to a laughable farce.

I apologize for having put you through that ordeal but the council found it neccessary to assess your worth. He puases for but a moment. He feels vonta's growing urge to answer his apology, You may address the 10

Vonta looked at her female council. She nodded for her to speak up.

"I would then hope that I had proven my worth and the sincerity of my convictions. I swear that I well use the knowledge of old to bring balance to the one force. And, if I may ask what is your assessment of my so called 'worth'." She spoke the word 'worth' with a an additional bit of emphasis indicating that it is the reason for these procedings and they should get right to the point.

The council finds you... The elder held his mind talk for a few seconds all eyes looked on with the suspense of the moment hanging lithely in the air.

...Adaquete. He speaks at last. A mermer goes up in the room.

But be assured that we well be watching you to be sure that you continue to remain so worthy. the elder finishes.

4 of ten continues with reluctance, You are free to go Observer adjucater, see to her departure

Vonta turned to her ajucater, he lawer of the Aing-ti sort. Congradulations Observer Horn. Not many have face such proceedings with success.

The Aing-Ti waved a hand and All of vonta's weaponry appeared on her person. "Many thanks for your support Adjucater. I am glad to have met the Aing-ti of legend and lore. Although I wish it had been under better curcumstances."

As do I Jedi Horn As the female defense attorny finishes vonta feels a tingle of energy being manipulated within her. The same feeling that she felt just before arriveing in this place.

"Wait! Adjucater! I never even had your name!" She cried out as her body begins to shimmer.

My name...I shall save until our next meeting Farewell

Those were the last words that Vonta heard before she was completely engulfed in the shimmering light and sent yet again...elsewhere.
