Ryan moved around the various obstacles in his path. They were only minutes away from the execution of his plan. He had stationed the men at various intervals along the forest border. Very soon now Sturm would begin his barrage of grenades. Korr picked a target from among the sentries and lay down among the foliage. He let it cover his body and hide him from view.
They would wait a full minute after the rain of fire began and then, they would move in. So now all that was left was to wait. As usual Ryan's thoughts went to where they usually did during any time of rest. They went to his strange abilities and then, to his heritage. What was this strange gift of fate that he had. He knew he could move faster, see clearer, and was just generally stronger than any human he had met in his entire life. There was also his uncanny ability to sense danger before it happened. It had saved his life many times. Korr had long ago found a holocron among the various articles that had been with him at birth. In it there was a detailed description of something called the Adept's School. Apparently it was a way of thinking with something called the force. There were several tests that it described. These tests could lead to more discovery about his powers. Ryan planned to do them at the earliest time possible.
Ryan was torn from his thoughts with a thunderous KRAKA-BOOM! Immediately, the Imperial encampment was a flood of activity. Men rushed towards the now smoking wall. Suddenly more explosions sound. KAGUZH-KAGUZH-KAGUZH! Korr grimaced as what had apparently been an armory burst into flames. Hopefully no Imperials were in there. Ryan's count to sixty was now at thirty. Almost all of the sentries were gone. Only five remained. Korr spoke into his helmet.
" Ariston one here, anyone have a clear shot at the security cam on the front door?"
" Roger that Ariston one, this is Ariston two. I have visual on the cam. Just give me the word sir."
" Take it out." There was a flash and then the security camera burst into flames. The startled sentries looked around, peering into the forest.
" Does everyone have visual on the targets?"
A chorus of " Yes, sir." came across the com.
" Alright, light 'em up." Ryan talked while aiming, staring into his sight at the storm trooper's helmeted head that now filled his focused vision. With the end of his sentence he depressed on the trigger. BWHOP! The storm trooper fell back with a smoking hole in his helmet. The other sentries went immediately on the alert. But they didn't stand a chance. The forest outside the encampment became lit with the red and blue bolts from blaster streaming towards the sentries. The guards fell dead before they had a chance to fire at their hidden enemies.
Ryan crept out of the forest. Only a black shadow. Other shadows joined him at the gate. They snuck through the smoking bodies and into the encampment. Now they would show the Imps the true dagger of the Rebellion.
