OOC:

This is going to be an...interesting char development thread/take over/just all around fun thread. Losses will be sustained, and planets will be taken over, but this is not a fleet thread so please do not assume it as such.

Hapan System

Planet: Maires
Type: Habitable, Little Oceans
Population: Very High
Capital: Martek'Lview
Political Affiliation: Hapan Rebellion

A weapon in any other factor is a tool until wielded as such which will cause damage to one. Such is with a fist, such is with power. None are deadly, unless wielded by one with deadly intentions.

There is no defiance until there is corruption, in either the defiant one or the one being defied. Defiance was wrought onto the Hapan Star Cluster in response to the welcoming of an outsider as the Queen Mother, this was an outrage.

Outrageousness leads to political uproar and unnecessary strife. This strife and political uproar is then passed down to those of aggression, who then take up arms in response. It was this that started a civil war in the Sepan System, as it starts it now in the Hapan Star Cluster.

Chisaii Kyufou, the new and yet former Queen Mother of the Hapan Consortium, had enveloped the cluster, and that had shot a spining outrage throughout the consortium. Charubah was the first planet to succumb to revolution, and in turn was embraced by Emperor Fearsons' Rogue Empire.

After a vicious skirmish in the midst of the Charubah-Coornit System, the Rogue Imperial Frigate Courage and Honor was forced to take refuge in a Charubahn Battle Station.

Thanks to the efforts of Jaina Solo-Darklighter and the captain of the Courage and Honor, the hyperdrive and sublight drive was restored on the craft, and with thus, managed to tinker away to safety until Rogue Imperial technicians made it out to repair it completely.

However, the Hapan Consortium was planning something...something crude, and something that would throw off the Hapan Rebels quickly and in the end subdue the rebellion. But a single Star Destroyer that lie between the Ortnat and Hapan System had dashed out all plans of such.

A single hand stroked the clean, grey control console of the Victory-Class Star Destroyer Black Dragon, within the communications relay center. The hand belonged to Commodore Mighktat, and for hours upon hours he had stood in this room, listening in on the conversational chatter of those around him.

Every now and again a call would come through the static filled uplinks that were aboard the Star Destroyer. In his crisp, clean uniform with the Rogue Imperial Seal emblazoned on the left shoulder, Commodore Mighktat had been assigned the simple task of defending the Hapan Star Cluster from a space tearing war.

The emperor had personally ordered a complete mediation of the conflict between the Hapes Consortium and the Hapan Rebellion until such a time that a clear threat had been calculated. Mighktat, in a sense, had to admire his leader’s decision in attempting to put down the “two bullies” of the Hapan Star Cluster.

But was it really in vein? Look at what the Hapan had done to the Courage and Honor, they had struck without even a second thought. And in full force…the puny Black Dragon was nothing compared to the full might of their navy.

His sudden chain of thought was swiftly cut off like oxygen in a space vacuum from the sudden crackling and static of the comms relay.

“Hundreds of them…..every….we’re all……it’s….one.”

Another fateful battle the Victory Star Destroyer was too slow to reach.

Over the intercom was sent a shuddering echo of the politician’s voice as he cried out what course of action he felt needed to be taken, while most of the royals and other politicians merely shrugged him off. It had taken N’mar N’milno weeks to get this hearing up to date, and not one person bothered to listen to the rebel sympathizer.

“To force our sovereignty into a civil war for no other purpose than to attain political bearing over a populace that does not even support us is absolute philaciousness and I personally will not stand for it, and I can point out at least three or four military commanders that believe the same!” he cried out in a demanding voice.

“N’mar N’milno, are you suggesting a coup de etapt?” one of the political figures, Lordess Marta Vemere of Kultat inquired, rising from her seat in the crowd of Hapan.

“No I am not suggesting that Lordess Marta Vemere of Kultat,” N’mar N’milno insisted, slamming his fist against the podium in frustration. “I am suggesting that our military commanders are not willing to fight a group of people just wanting a fair say in their democracy and some mother loving food on their plates! Why are we insistent on starving out innocent civilians on these planets that have taken up arms? All they want is a fair say in what will be ruling them in terms of outer personas. This is not a crime, and to fire on them for such is flat out wrong! Why can you not see this?”

“If they are our sovereignty they in all reality do not have a choice in the matter of a monarchy,” someone from the crowd cried out.

“But this is not a monarchy in that which we speak of, this is another person coming from another star system entirely coming to claim supremecy over our way of life. Who in turn after the outbreak of the civil war swiftly disappeared from the galaxy, most likely gone into hiding, how is this considered monarchism?” N’mar N’milno cried out, his frustration growing like a Tatooine sandstorm in his body.

His knuckles went wide and blood began to ooze from his palms from the pressure he’d placed on them in his balled fist.

“I believe,” said Mardom Kreitag of Hapes said, rising from his own seat in the front row. “that this hearing is over, Supreme Advisor N’mar N’milno, as is your career in the political division.”

N’mar’s eyes went wide suddenly at the revealing proclamation of Mardom Kreitag, and he gritted his teeth dangerously. “Silence me and you only put a muffle over justice! One cannot remove position and responsibility simply because of a matter of opinion and-,”

“And when your position matters on your opinion’s values and where they will lead this consortium, you can be stricken of it if it endangers the millennia old elapsation of our kind,” one person cried out, and N’mar thought he could feel tears forming in his eyes.

“When war rains down from above,” he said, gripping both sides of his podium with sheer rage. “you know who to thank…yourselves.”

Casting a gaze over the fleet of Battle Dragons placed outside of the planet of Hapes itself aboard the Golan Arms Station EX109, Admiral Hart felt a warming sensation of predetermined victory wash over his body, sending tingles up his spine.

The fleet had been massing rhetorically for days upon days by now, preparing for the destruction of the Hapan Rebellion, the spinning spheres of doom as some had called them were all fully readied and honed for battle.

Turning his gaze then on Commodore Silvek, Admiral Hart truly felt then what was going to be an onslaught of a battle. “Commodore, ready my shuttle, I’ll be joining the fleet momentarily.”

As the Starstreaks reverted to normal space, Dakkon was at peace. He was aboard the Shadow Hunter, the Flagship of the Shadow Fleet. The planet Maires came into view as did the Black Dragon.

"Ensign? Hail the Black Dragon. Notify them that we are here to help."

Dakkon smiled as the exchange took place. He had a vested interest in this revolution.

He sat back and waited. He was not used to doing nothing but waiting... Who knows, he might learn something...

"Hangar Bay, launch our fighters, secure the perimetre."

Nobody knew that she wasn't too keen on being on a Star Destroyer, a Mark 2, no less.

And yet, here she was, on the same one as the Admiral she like too well, not too long ago.

Being a pilot in the Rogue Squadron, and being a Shaddow Jedi made things rather tricky.

As for Daren, he didn't like it all. It took her several minutes to tell him that she would be okay, considering what the Rogue Empire was tagging along for the ride.

And, he hated being left behind.

Raven didn't have the heart to tell him that the admiral in charge didn't like the fighters that the squadron favored.

She had only been gone for a few hours, but, she was already missing his presence. Maybe she could've let him come along.

Maybe...

Stepping onto the bridge, she gave a dark frown to the admiral who stood there.

"Admiral? What's the current status?" Raven asked.

She knew it annoyed him to no end that a mere lower-rank pilot was basically in charge of the situation.

Yeah, it was a pit being a princess of some outer-rim planet known as Naboo, but the admiral couldn't care less.

But, it did force him to acknowledge her by her royal title, and that was the part that amused her.

Any other day seeing a My'til Fighter would be known as a glorious occasion, seeing such a spectacular fighter of the Hapes Consortium, whizzing through the atmosphere of Maires at speeds faster than sound could attune, the fantastic fighter was now an ominous angel of death to those on the ground, and within the rebel base.

A stronghold on Maires had set itself up and apparently, according to the Hapes Royal Council, was beginning weapons manufacturing, which would give these "outlaws" quite an upper hand in the ground war aspect of it all. The Hapan were slowly losing support due to the constant preachings by several political sympathizers for the rebellion.

Screeching over head, the My'til fighter continued to scout out the area for the persons below, yet neither the sensors or visual scanners could pick up anything.

The pilot, Commander Y'tpal, cursed between clenched teeth at the rebels down below, if he could not find them, there would be no attack, if there was no attack he was certainly going to receive the sharp end of the razor that was discipline.

"Gamma base," he said, finishing his route and pulling back above one of the tree patches. "this is Commander Y'tpal, I don't see anything, I'm heading back. We should try a carpet bomb in my opinion."

"Roger Commander, head on home," replied the base station, and with thus, the pilot flipped over to main comms and kicked in his boosters.

Deciding to take one more pass, he adjusted his speed to four hundred klicks per hour, and took a quick glance down at the mountain once again. Still there was nothing.

If there were rebels down there like they suspected, they were quite good at camoflauge.

"Sit down Viceroy Wemant," Ambassador Retat demanded, smashing his fist onto the conclave table, sending shudders throughout the drinking glasses amongst the table and roughling some papers. "We need our council members to remain calm if you expect us to get through this civil crisis intact."

"How can you expect me to remain calm when you are out massacreing stations that harbor civilian refugees?" Viceroy Wemant of Maires protested, hunched over the table and staring each of the political heads dead in the eye. Some of which could not make it to the council meeting, seeing as it was an emergancy call so therefore a holographic image of them sufficed.

"We are slaughtering no one as you say we are," Ambassador Retat of Charubah, recently presented to the Rogue Empire, protested. "We have destroyed a total of two stations, both of which were confirmed military targets, holding both weapons and rebel leaders. To bring them down-,"

"Is assassination!" Wemant cried out desperately. It seemed like everyone was doing something like this, and yet it had gotten them nowhere, but in all reality he knew with every cry, with every shout, he was getting more and more support for the outnumbered and outgunned rebels.

"It is not assassination it is execution, and this is war. They are traitors, and with such they will be treated like them," argued one of the other political figures at the conclave table, spinning his voice around the room with the same arguements so many others had used before.

"It is not a war yet, the Hapes Consortium is making it a war!"

It was then that the Hapes Prince, Prince Isolder, finally rose from his own seat, yelling out at the top of his lungs for silence. He threw his half cloak over his right shoulder and bent a scowl on every one of those around him.

"You are all so busy bickering about this and that 'Who killed who', and quite frankly, this will stop now. It does not matter who hit what, what matters is the unity and the sanction of the Hapan Star Clusters. For over ten milennia we have lived here under the rule of our queen mothers, and we are not going to be torn by pathetic revolutions. These war crimes will stop immediately by both sides. Viceroy Wemant, your populace is not as innocent as you claim, I have seen with my own eyes the testings of weapons they've done on Maires, so do not try to start a pity party with me, it won't work. I think it was probably best that the rebels got away and summoned the Rogue Empire for assistance, because the two of you must be stopped before a true catastrophe breaks out.

"Hapes has been fine for nearly ten thousand years, and you are destroying it now with your 'I don't want a new Queen Mother', and in all honesty, neither do I! But I will not condone unnecessary bloodshed for the sake of your political ideals. And therefore because of your pathetic military-political disputes, Hapes declares this today:

"From this day forth and until the conflict has boiled over, Hapes is now sealing its borders. You are no longer part of the Hapes Consortium, and rather are now your own neutral faction, name yourselves whatever the frell you want, but now, you do not have the Prince's or the main council's support in your pathetic actions."

The room grew silent...never before had Hapes sealed its borders from its own planets, much less demanded they fight amongst themselves without royal support.

"Does this mean that the prince dare align with a rebel faction?" one of the councilors asked, rising from his own seat. Isolder recognized the man immediately, it was M'pat of Coornit, power hungry and greedy, wanting nothing more than House M'pat to gain sovereignty of the Hapes Consortium.

"It means nothing M'pat, now I suggest you sit before I force your house onto its knees before House Ta'Chume. Everyone know this now, if you choose to lift up arms, you are not a part of the Hapes Consortium, and are taking up arms against it and House Ta'Chume, this strike you have chosen to do against the rebels will not occur."

This time silence was replaced by gasps and arrayed confusion massing throughout the conclave table. The strike against the rebel base had been planned and sought out for almost two months...to cancel it now was madness, not to mention a waste of funds.

The arguements continued until finally Isolder, followed by several other councilers, simply up and left.

M'pat exitted the opposite corridor of that of Isolder, followed by his advisors as well as supporters. To his right was General Mardeek, a well reknowned general with the fame of many battles against pirates as well as terrorists. To the left of M'pat was Baron Larx, whom was the temporary vice of Coornit.

"What will you do now Duke M'pat?" Larx asked as they walked through the beautifully decorated halls of the royal council hall.

"The attack must commence, that fleet has been massing for weeks, there is no way we'll just call it off now because Isolder does not like our words," he responded without taking his eyes off the narrow end of the passageway.

"And if their forces intervene?" the general cut off suddenly. M'pat then turned his head to the general.

"What Isolder does not know, will not hurt him."

Dakkon knew what she was thinking as she approached. They shared a common heritage to an extent.

"Relax! I was a pilot myself. I hold my fighters to be the ultimate of weapons. 10 well made fighters with good pilots is alot better than most capital ships. I also need a favour. Can you and your squadron begin making sweeps of the planet? Rules of engagement are as follows. Identify targets as TRE alligned or Hapan. If you encounter a Hapan alligned unit, wait until they make a hostile act, on either the planetary population or yourselves. Then you may fire...

Oh, and there will be some of my personal backup. 3 packs of TIE Shadows are to go down with you. Is that understood?"

"Of course. That I can manage." Raven nodded, leaving the bridge, to head down the hallway.

Raven had managed to contain her surprise from the admiral until she was out of site.

He was here?

There was only one way to find out, even in her half surprised, half-angered confused state of mind.

To head towards the hangar, and find him for herself.

She had quite a few words to say to him, not all of them pleasant, either.

And, with that decision made, Raven headed towards the hangar.

As Raven walked away, a message came up indicating that there were already angry riots and demostrations taking place in ANOTHER Hapan planet. Only difference being that this had a shipyard/r&d centre.

"Raven, wait! We have a situation that may need your skills. Take a look at this."

Pressing a button, the details of the planet and the populace came up, as well as the state of the rebellion. Red flares came up on the planets surface indicating trouble spots.

"Raven, take your squadron and scout out the region. If its deemed safe for our Capital ships, call for back up. If you want, you can take some Shadows with you. Also, try to lend support to the rebellion, and remember, safety is only a phone call away!"

Wait a sec - her squadron? But the rogues were not a part of the empire, and Raven was only there as a mediator - wasn't she?

"Which group is mine exactly?" Raven asked, raising an eyebrow at the admiral.

"I'm here only as a mediator, unless I missed something in the mission briefing. The Rogue Squadron is not a part of this empire. It's only a coincidence that I fly for them. So, which group is considered mine?"

Raven then gave her best glare, considering that she was not too pleased with the situation as it played out before her.

Dakkon raised an eyebrow, he was surprised that she had not been tasked.

"I had reason to believe that you were flying in my Magenta Squadron. If you believe that they are beneath you, i will understand, although take personal insult. If you insist on remaining a mediator, please let me know, and i will have you removed from flight duty."

"Nobody is beneathe me, as you so bluntly put it. I have a great respect for people, even pilots. I'd like to be there with them. I wonder, though, if , you ever just not shoot first, and ask questions later. I'd like to see both sides of the story, and go from there. As much as I'd hate to say it, I think I'll be more usefull here as that mediator. Unless, you haven't something against me saying that?" Raven asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course, people who are fighting will not want to listen to that voice of reason. I'd suggest to have the group just make sure that there are as few casualties as possible. We're here to stop brushfires, not make them into uncontrollable forestfires that tend to destroy everything."

Before hearing the admiral protest, Raven stormed out of the room. She so wanted to slap that admiral silly, but, thought it best to walk away.

It was so strange, Raven thought, strolling down the hallways, nodding at passing crew as she went. She sounded like her own mother.
