From Shadows, to Darkness

Raven was eating up all the attention the children were giving her, and she smirked. She never had THIS much attention!

Was attention seeking similar to the lust for power?

"Are you sure?" Raven asked, nonchalantly picking up the lightsaber, twirling it about in her fingers like a baton.

The children eagerly nodded.

"I wouldn't suggest this to anyone but to the bravest. Are you brave? The route I'm thinking of is very, very dangerous. Some of you may die trying to get home to mommy and daddy." Raven added, still twirling the lightsaber.

One child towards the back informed her that he was very brave, and others all chimmed in after him, like a chorus of birds chirping.

"Very well." Raven smirked, and imediately leaped to her feeti, hearing the children cheering. A hero had come to save them at last!

Raven was not a hero, not even close. She hit the activation switch, the red bladed humming to life. Why was she not surprised by the color choice, considering who the maker of the blade was?

She held it high over her head, and the children cheered once again.

Raven then lowered the blade, and laughed, pulling a child over to her. The little girl didn't even have a chance to scream as her head rolled onto the floor.

Pandamonium broke loose, the children scattering in all directions. What was the point of running?

"My secret is yours now." Raven told them.

She then moved about,no longer caring about finnesse or style whatsoever. It was purely bisiness, after all.

Children can be so naive.

Zerxes laughed maliciously as the little girls head rolled to the floor in one spot and her body fell to the floor somewhere else. He was enjoying himself watching this new Sith kill these little children with not thought as to how. She had chosen to drop technique and just have a bit of evil fun. Zerxes smirked.

"Kill them all, then we shall spar."

Zerxes leaned against the wall and crossed his arms. FOr all he knew the Triumverate may not let her in. IF that was the case, he would kepp her here and train her in the dark arts himself. Although she may noit need a lot of training as these things come. The darkside was easier to use than the lightside.

"Don't run!" Raven shouted, laughing as she chased the remaining children around the room.

A boy managed to tumble to the floor, and Raven smirked and knelt down next to him.

"But, but... you'd said.." the boy managed to stammer, sobbing incessantly.

Crying is just as annoying as being peed on, Raven thought, bringing the tip of the blade under the boy's chin.

Raven chuckled once again, shaking her head as she lowered her blade even further. He wasn't crying any more.

She sensed there was more in store for her, and smirked once again as he told her what was next.

Ah, so he wants to play?

Raven simply kept going, knowing that he was next, her mind running a countdown of sorts.

After the boy, that would make it three.

Zerxes rolled his eyes. She was taking her own sweet time. He knew she was the type for that but did she always have to do that? He smirked as one of the little Jedi twerps ran by him. He grabbed her and held her up by the hair.

"Work faster my dear. They are getting tired."

He snapped the girls neck and dropped her lame body to the floor. He smirked as Raven stared at him, but did not move from his position. There were only two more Jedi for her to kill then they would fight and Zerxes would make a point of catching her off guard.

The last pair were working as a team to annoy Raven. They never were in the same place at all.

Yeah, sure, work faster. Try telling that to a pair of kids who think it's fun to toy with Raven.

From all appearances, they must have been siblings. They both had similar hair laughs, everything. Right down to the eyes.

Suddenly, a flash of anger hit her, as if something prodded her and gave her a spurt of energy. The reason for this, she chose not to reveal. It was one of those sudden thoughts that could be used against her if the sith found out what it was.

She wrestled the little girl down on the ground first, cutting off her head, then went after the boy.

The boy was the spitting image of yet someone else she knew, and Raven cursed under her breathe. Why did coincidense have to have such a heavy play in all this? First, it was the little girl from last night, that the sith had killed in front of her.... and now, this boy.

Oh, to hell with it. He's just a boy, and it's very unlikely that he'd be even remotely related.

Finally, Raven had the boy cornered, and grabbed him by the neck, lifting up off the ground, and slamming him against the wall. The boy had this scared look in his eye, showing yet again, how much he looked like .....

"How can I get close to him if he keeps pushing me away? Hmmm? Argggg, you're no help to me!" Raven told the boy in a whisper, her fingers slowly crushing his windpipe.

Her eyebrow rose in amusement, a smirk creasing her lips as she watched the boy squirm under her grasp. The more he squirmed, the harder she squeezed. Eventually, he stopped squirming and hung limply, and loosened her fingers, letting the body drop on the floor.

When she looked around the room she would be sure to notice that he could not longer be seen. The reason for this being that he was in fact right behind her after she let the body fall. Smiling he watched from the shadows as she searched for his hidden presence.

Having let it go long enough, he called his lightsaber to his hand and activated the blades. Two red lances shot out of the device and he stepped forward to slash down at her shoulder with one of the blades. He knew she was aware of him because she would have heard the snap-hiss of the activation of his lightsaber.

"COme my dear. Play time is over."

Raven glanced about her, noting, that the sith was not in sight, and she frowned. Perhaps being given a cold treatment was her just reward for taking too long with the children.

No, that can't be it. Something wasn't quite right.

Within what seemed a split-second, she heard too familiar sound of an igniting lightsaber, turning her head only slightly to see the all-too familiar hand holding that same blade.

After he announced that playtime was over, Raven didn't hesitate. She grabbed the hand with her fingers and dug in her teeth.

She countered his attack by grabbing his hand and biting it. He cursed loudly and hit her with a massive Force push that sent her flying across the room. He stared down at his bleeding hand and cursed again. She would get it for that.

"For that, you get injured."

He ran at her and stabbed forward with his blade while slamming his other hand at her other shoulder. The one he had not injured the day before. She would learn never to bite him.

Raven had hit the opposit wall, the impact making her grunt. She licked her lips in responce to him looking down at his hand, tasting a trace of the blood on them.

Of course, that would be nothing in comparison to re-opening the previous evening's wound, her opposing shoulder throbbing just as painfully in sympathy as he slammed the opposing shoulder with his free hand, making her scream.

The shock of the pain assaulting her, she lashed out, kicking him away from her, letting her pain and anger fuel the force at which she shoved him away.

Zerxes was thrown across the room by her enhanced kick. Landing on a pile of bodies, he stood up and looked across the room at her. She was holding her toher shoulder now, this one also sporting a nice wound. He licked her blood off of his hand.

"Never anger a full fledge Sith."

He began to walk at her with his lightsabers ignited and ready. He would cut her to ribbons of she tried something like that again. He didn't care if he loved her or not. SHe would pay.
