OOC
Tell you what, you got your superlaser shot off, hit one of my ISDs, and did your microjump, hell you even have your gravity wells on.
you will suffer the consequences of such actions.
In a second everything had changed significantly. The Eclipse-Class Star Destroyer blasted off its mighty super laser, managing to pop off one of the Imperial-Class Star Destroyers in a blinding explosion. The persons on board were not even given the chance to escape...
The admiral's eyes were wide with rage rather than horror. He knew it would take more than one shot to take down the Disruptor-Class Star Destroyer, so he was not afraid, but they had just murdered thousands of innocent Jutraalians for no better reason than conquest...conquest.
He bit at his bottom lip and looked back at the Eclipse Star Destroyer.
This left no room for negotiations. He determined there and then that the Damorrians would not escape this...
"Relay these coordinates to the JADM on Yaga Minor," he said to his XO, who was equally shocked by the sudden and vicious course the corporation had just taken. They had come trying to free the planet as they claimed, yet they openly murdered anyone attempting to meet them..."Get in some more firepower, I want those @#%$ stopped."
"Yes sir, will that be all sir?" he asked with a bit of a tremble in his voice.
"No, open fire on those Imperial-Classes right there. Full Arakyds."
"Yes sir."
The orders were relayed to fire control, and fire control relayed them to the gunners. The entire bridge seemed to watch in perpetual silence, waiting, watching...until finally several flashes of pale white light shot out straight at the two enemy Star Destroyers.
The shots hit them and hit them hard. Electrical energy spewed out amongst them, there was no obvious physical damage, but the readings showed that the Arakyd Cannons had done just as they were designed to. Throughout the inside tiny explosions had begun over the craft, destroying circuitry and electrical chips on a grand scale.
The ships were still operational, but with so many cannons and shots focused on them their shields and systems were dropping rapidly. They were fortunate their main reactor did not implode on itself.
The distance began to close then, four kilometers turned into three, turned into two point five, and the Disruptor began to open up its shots on the enemy, scintillating green lasers pulverizing everything in their path. Shields began to drain more and more as the shots continued to pound and pound on the wedge shaped craft, hundreds of turbolaser shots.
The enemy attempted to return fire, but the blasts meant nothing against the superior shields of a Disruptor-Class.
Meanwhile on the far side of the planet, where the Eclipse Star Destroyer had managed to pull itself from its microjump, only to find it being shredded apart by the space stations and Carracks that waited for it.
Turbo and regular lasers pounded on its unshielded form, its hull beginning to diminish substantially. But not only from the Jutraalian gunfire, oh no. The super laser shot had sapped a great deal of its energy, the microjump had sapped even more, disentegrating most of its shields, and the gravity wells it turned on had destroyed what shields it had left.
The debris and what have you of the microjump caused serious hull damage, and several cavities had opened up along the Star Destroyer's frame.
Skiprays had already launched themselves from the space stations, and due to the massive size of their target they did not even require full target lock to launch their missiles. Heavy rockets cut through space directly at their enemy.
It was the TIE Defenders who focused on missile lock, directly on the enemy super laser. It was their turn to drop proton torpedos on the enemy before breaking off themselves.
The Victory Star Destroyers and the Nebulans had met in an all out brawl, broadside battles taking place all about as they had managed to arrange themselves. Two such Nebulans had pinned down one of the Victories, eating away at her shields.
However with a quick adjustment and a few launches of missiles, the bridge and most of the hulk of the Nebulan tore apart, exploding in a brilliant display of fireworks, so it could focus again on the one Neb.
Battles took place all over, the fighters were evenly matched and there was but one casualty on each side.
All in all three Nebulans had fallen, as one Victory Star Destroyer had, while one began to limp away from the battle, heavily damaged.
LOSSES:
TJE:
1 Victory Star Destroyer
1 Imperial Star Destroyer
1 VSD damaged
DMC
3 Nebulan B Frigates
Shields and Most Hull and Most Energy on ESD
Shields and Most Hull on ISDs
Conclusions:
TJE fleet en route, will arrive in four posts.
