Tyrant looked up at the nearby steet sign. Speaker and Holland? Exactly how long had be been wandering through the town? Ever since he'd been appointed a Jedi Knight, he hadn't been really sure what he was supposed to do. He hadn't left for a mission, or been asigned one either. When he was alone, he sometimes wondered if his small stature made the Masters overlook him, but when he did think this, he quickly pushed the thought to the back of his mind.

"I need a drink..." He looked around. "Tap Cafe...okay, here we go." The small Hopper opened the door slowly, and walked into the Cafe. He took a seat by one of the windows, and picked up the small menu lying on the table.

Kenshin stood at a street corner staring up at the buildings around him. All of them gigantic, shiny, and tall, they seemed to be closing in.

'Okay, it's true then. Life in a Jedi Temple can be a very sheltered life. But I'm from a Jedi Academy, a place that implies learning...'

The padawan looked at the people bustling around him.

'Oh I'm learning alright. Learning how it feels to be lost...'

He tapped into the Force hoping to find a familiar Force signature. In a moment he found a few nearby. The newly knighted Adrian Trench and World Tyrant. Adrian seemed to be moving so he sought out World Tyrant instead.

He really didn't know anything about these two people except for the fact that they came to the Academy shortly after he did. It inwardly frustrated him that they became knights before he did and he tried to quietly accept the fact that it wasn't his time. He knew that it was probably this frustration that the Masters foresaw and that if he didn't rid himself of it he wouldn't be knighted.

He followed the Force the a Tap Cafe and stepped in.

"I am familiar with it yes. I'll meet you there in one hour."

Turning, he took off at a dead sprint.

---------------------------------------------------

One hour later he was walking into the TapCaf on the corner of Holland and Speaker. Walking in, he looked around at the medium style building. He noticed Adrian and walked over to him.

"Ready to go?"

Adrian sat on his own in the Tap Cafe. In the early morning, even now over an hour after the sun had risen, there weren’t many people about. The general point of a Tap Cafe on Naboo was for somewhere to go after a hard day’s work, and thus they didn’t get much activity in the early morning. There were only three other people in the place with Adrian, and no one was talking. Outside the window next to his table Adrian could see his yellow speeder sitting at the aide of the street closest to him, a few metres away from the Tap Cafe’s entrance. Adrian couldn’t see anyone else around.

Silently, he turned back to his water and the menu. He’d been sitting there contemplating what, if anything, to order, for almost an hour now. The time had gone by painfully slowly, and he’d only managed to keep himself occupied by replaying the dream, over and over, trying to discover any possible detail that he’d missed. Although it was hazy, he could still make out the images in his head, but he couldn’t pick up anything new from what he already knew. Perhaps the dreams would change when he started out, and something new would be revealed to him? If that was the case, then there was nothing he could do now but wait for Kamon.

Kamon...

It had taken Adrian almost a quarter hour to pry himself from the reassuring seat of his speeder and come inside. And then he’d only convinced himself by parking the speeder close to the door, and making sure he had a view of it out of the window. After he’d actually started driving, the urge to go blindly into the wild had come much more under his control. It was only when he stopped outside the Tap Cafe that it had returned in full force, more powerful than it had been earlier. It was now even harder to stop himself from just leaping from his seat and running to the speeder, driving away aimlessly into the sunset, just like they did on the holo dramas.

Except that it’s still morning, and those things are just fiction, anyway. It’s always far more complicated than just disappearing beyond the horizon. Just because the camera doesn’t follow, doesn’t mean there isn’t something new and undiscovered. That’s what sequels are for.

Adrian turned back to his water, momentarily taking his eyes off the speeder and the street outside, and was therefore surprised when World Tyrant tentatively hopped through the door and seated himself on the other side of the Tap Cafe. He didn’t seem to notice Adrian, and Adrian hadn’t even seen him coming from his commanding view at the window. Adrian’s window looked out onto Speaker, along which his speeder was parked, while WT’s let him see along Holland. Nevertheless, the door was positioned in such a way that people entering and leaving could easily bee seen from Adrian’s window, but he hadn’t seen WT coming, even though he’d kept half an eye on the street outside. Probably because he’s so small.

Adrian was just about to get up and go over to see what WT was doing there, when the door opened again, and in stepped another Jedi. Adrian recognised him as Kenshin, a Padawan from the Academy.

He hardly had time to register this new arrival, however, for a second later the door opened again, and in came Kamon. Once again, Adrian hadn’t been paying the street much attention, and was now convinced that if he had been earlier, he would have seen WT coming, despite the Knight’s size.

Kamon seemed to be facing the same problem with observation that Adrian was, and either completely ignored or just didn’t notice WT and Kenshin. Immediately he came over to Adrian’s table and asked the question the Knight had been waiting what seemed like a lifetime to hear.

“Ready to go?”

Adrian was relieved, but the urge came back at him again instantly. Wasting no time, he motioned to the door, and got up from his seat, starting for it.

Kenshin sat down at a table in the corner of the room. There he absent-mindedly let his turbulent concious zone out as tapped into the Force. He found this type of meditation a way to calm himself. He also learned that in order to understand, you needed to drop your own thoughts and maintain an open mind.

The padawan sensed a foreboding, heavy aura emitting somewhere in the room. It wasn't anger so he didn't feel threatened, but the feeling was all to familiar. Confusion maybe, uncertainty. Kenshin probed deeper into the Force.

World Tyrant's here as well as another Knight. Rogue I think. Hmm...Adrian? I wonder what's bothering him.

He gathered his concious and looked about the room. Adrian was talking to who he thought was the Rogue Knight and wondered if he should step in and say 'hi'. Suddenly the pair got up and moved for the door. Curious, Kenshin quietly got up and followed. The padawan tapped the knight on the shoulder.

"Hey, what's up?"

It was a bit of an awkward greeting, but he meant it. He wanted to know what was up and needed the opprotunity to test the Force energy enveloping Adrian.

Kamon turned around and took in this new arrival. He was obviously a padawan by the way he carried himself. Kamon nodded to him and spoke.

"Hello, young one. I'm afraid i don't know your name. I am Prince Kamon Vondiranach, Prince of Tholatin and Rogue Jedi Knight. Adrian here was telling me about a most remarkable dream that he had, and we decided to see if we could figure out its significance. If you will follow us, we will fill you in because we really need to get going."

Kamon motioned him to follow, and the three of them stepped inside. Kamon turned to the Padawan and addressed him.

"Adrian will fill you in. But first, what is your name and who was the other Jedi in there? I don't believe i know his name."

Kamon stared at the building in puzzlement.

Now that the awkward greeting was over, Kenshin returned to his calm composed self, the kind that he was usually in. He bowed to the Knights, then spoke.

"I'm Kenshin Katarn, a Jedi Padawan of the Academy. The other is World Tyrant, a newly knighted like Adrian himself."

WT's large ears twitch and he turns his head toward Kenshin. "You sure are an observant person." He grins, his ears twitchihng, picking all the sounds around him. "I gather you know Adrian?"

Kenshin turned to World Tyrant and smiled as he bowed in greeting.

"Thank you. I don't know him very well I'm afraid..."

Kamon smiled.

"If you come with us, you will get to know us quite well. We are both very good at what we do. I suggest we get going. Adrian is getting quite antsy."

He walked over to the speeder he had picked up after his meeting. It was new and expensive but ran very well.
