" I caution you, Marshal Kaine, that you go too far. I am, like yourself, a soldier, officer, and warrior through and through. I have no love for the Jedi, the Sith, the Force, or any construance thereof. The galaxy should be ruled by men that can wield power of fleets of ships and mountains of materiale, not those who can feel his intentions.

" You believe this as well as I do. What the Emperor does with the Dark Jedi, Shadow Sith, or whatever they call themselves is his own concern. Mine is the security of the Jutraalian Empire, outside as well as within our borders. They do not run rampant in our Space, and they do not bend others to their demented will. I have made sure of that.

" I assure you that the Emperor has his Empire's best interests at heart. While the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, I have seen to it that he is not on it.

" I want to see us, arm in arm, trample the foes of our way of life.

" Simply put, we are more alike than I think you chose to admit.

" Again, I tell you, our ideaology is parallel. The existence of these Force wielders does not concern me as long as they are not in my way and intruding on the safe expansion and existence of this Empire.

" As for your Abolisher class Cruisers, whatever you need shall be transferred to you. The ships themselves shall remain under Jutraalian command, but operational charter is ceded to you. You may place on them whatever forces you choose."

The Supreme Inquisitor raised his glass in the parting sunlight.

" To the Empires."

One of the PeFauna assigned to the viscount's guard turned to the two and cocked an eyebrow behind that Imperial-resembling helm.

"I apologize for my intrusion," he stated, "but I have just gotten word to answer all questions based around the Shadow Jedi that our lord was unable to answer, and he apologizes for his silence, stating that he is not feeling well tonight and has been forced to retire to his quarters prematurely this night."

Nathaniel finally gave up on waiting for the General when a call came to him over the Force. It tugged at his very being and he was forced to respond. Departing swiftly, he reached his new Flagship. An allegiance class super star destroyer.

Once reaching the bridge, he ordered his men to depart at once.. and so it was. Clearing the cluttered area, the jump was made and the ship vanished into the vast emptiness if space.

Kaine looked at the Viscount in quiet surprise for the Jutraalian was a military officer. Self proclaimed, yes, but his persona did radiate a military bearing.

“Advanced Strategy, Viscount. Advanced Strategy.” He started. “I personally have contempt for force users, especially (with a few exceptions) given their performance in the galaxy. However, I do have a healthy respect for their power. Therefore I will not ignore them nor will I simply leave their influences to chance.

If you tell me that you keep your Jedi sentiments under heel in your empire, then I am satisfied. Personally, I would dislike seeing revolution come to the Jutraalians. Especially one led by Jedi.”

Kaine grimaced at the thought of such an occurance. “It would be.. inconvenient.”

He shook the Viscount’s hand. A firm handshake. Confident. Someone that could be respected. “I appreciate the use of your ships. Once they have signaled, we shall proceed. They will be traveling under communications blackout, but once they have reached their assigned designation, the ships will be free to contact your Fleet Command to inform them of their position.”

Turning to the newcomer, Kaine eyed him. “I needed to know that what you call the “Shadow Jedi” was free of any Jedi sentiments and influence. The last thing you or I need is to have Leia Organa Solo leading a revolution within TJE space supported by an Order led by your emperor. The Viscount has informed me of the impossibility of such a scenario. I expect and trust that his word will be honored by all in the Shadow Jedi organization.

My compliments to your Emperor for the dining experience. The Empire will soon reciprocate his grand hospitality.”


And with that, Simon Kaine, General of the Empire, walked out of the small office and into the room where he had been accosted by some hooded figure. His officers were the only people present.

“Where did our unpleasant Jutraalian go?” Kaine inquired to a female officer.

“He seemed to fidget and then left.” She answered shrugging. “The shuttle is ready for departure.”

Kaine nodded and the officers walked back to the Imperial Shuttle accompanied by Jutraalian soldiers or honorguards.

Depends on how you look at it.


The shuttle returned to the Galactus without incident.

“Prepare for departure. Once we have cleared Despayre’s gravity well, begin transmission to begin collecting the Jutraalian vessels assigned to our command. Once we have them, begin an exit vector from the system and set a course for Ralltiir.”


“Aye Sir.”
