Training was exhausting to Jedi Apprentice Kurt Night.

So exhausting, that he was lying in his chamber floor deep in sleep after countless hours of it.

His lightsabre lay on his bed as he was snoring loudly, probably disturbing others in the temple. He was dreaming of his father, he was dreaming of the day his father died.

In the dream, or nightmare, Kurt watched as his father battled with the two sith. But surprisingly, as his father Kirk slayed one, and the other swung at him just like it happened so many years ago, Kurt found himself diving into the battle and killing the sith before his father had died. He looked at his father who was suddenly in perfect condition, and had a glowing white robe on. Kurt squinted at the brightness, and fell back onto his bottom.

"Kurt, my son." the glowing Jedi said as the background, the sky, began to turn red, then pink, then blue, then black, and all over again.

"F...father?" Kurt said, confused more then he had ever been. Perhaps this was exhaustion catching up on him...or another mind trick of the Force.

"Kurt. You must..." Kurt's father spoke on, but no sound was heard. Kurt tried to hear, but wind began to pick up and change directions like the sky was shifting.

"Father!" Kurt screamed as his father's figure began to fade. "Must what? Must what?!"

His father's shape dissapeared, leaving Kurt a strange weariness, and an abnormal sky to look upon.

Just then the sky turned normal, a nice blue. Kurt smiled at the sight, but then jumped back, as a huge planet appeared in the sky with a sonic boom.

"...the hell...?" he said quietly to himself. The planet just above him in the sky was Tatooine, the desert planet.

"Go to Tatooine..." a voice echoed in the wind.

Kurt nodded as he felt himself being brought back to reality.

Soon, he found himself on the floor in his chambers. He groaned and moaned with a headache as he rose up, and retrieved his lightsabre from his bed.

"What was that dream...?" Kurt said to himself as he rubbed his metallic blue eyes. "Perhaps a sign..."

He secured his sabre on his belt and left the room in a mess. He suddenly had his mind set on going to Tatooine.

~Maybe I should tell Master Vodo...~ he thought, ~Hmm....well maybe not. I shouldn't trouble him at this time of day...whatever time it is...~

He proceeded through the temple to the exit, then left in a hurry to the landing docks. He found a landing pad, it was occupied by a regular old ship- it looked good enough to take him off of the planet.

~This will do just fine...~ he thought.

"I'm sorry, sir." an officer said as he approached Kurt with polite wave of his hand. "This ship belongs to Johnny McPoopoo, not you. I'm sorry but I'm going to ask you to leave."

Kurt smiled and waved his hand infront of the officer's face.

"You will let me pass. You will let me take this ship." Kurt said, persuading the officer with the Force. "I will pay more then enough credits when I return."

"I will let you pass. You may take the ship." he said stunned. "And I believe you. I will await your return."

"Thank you, sir." Kurt said as he nodded and hopped onto the ship to get it started.

There was Tatooine in his sights, as the ship approached at a somewhat acceptable speed. Kurt pondered still on the dream of the passing night. He hoped it happened for a reason, or he would be landing on Tatooine for nothing.

The ship floated down to the ground with a slight thump. Kurt jumped up from his seat, and approached a small red button and hit it. A door slid open to reveal a hot sand-filled landing pad. He stepped out, and another officer approached him.

"That'll be...hmmm about 99 credits." the officer said.

"Here." Kurt said as he handed him 100 credits. "Keep the change."

And with that, Kurt set off into the city of Anchorhead.
