- Drall - (TNR Takeover)
  • Posted On: Feb 19 2003 6:05am
Serrus Freelock, Vice-Admiral of the New Republic fleet and rather new to most of them. He and a team of other officers were assigned to Drall. An MC90 and a team of New Republic fighters flew into the Corellian system next to the planet Drall. The planet was beautiful from above. It was green with forests and very prosperous.

Freelock readied his men and they left down to the surface in a transport and a squadron of fighters. They hailed the planet with a message.

"Fellow Selonians and Humans. It's time you recive the protection you deserve."

Freelock hailed that planet with the seriousness of a Selonian. The long and tall Selonian species were visible among the greenery. THey were brown, slender, and covered in short brown fur. Visc-Admiral Freelock was infactuated with the species, looking like animals, but very intelligent.

Freelock landed on the planet to talk with the leader of the planet back at the corellian base. He spoke privately with him, and diplomatically as he was ordered to do by his very own leader. He spoke with General Hiend, a human living amongst the other Selonians that live on the planet. Serrus had never met this man, nor seen him before as he walked into the confrence room.

<span style="color:maroon;">"Hiend, I am Serrus Freelock... Vice-Admiral of the New Republic as you probably know."</span>

<span style="color:navy;">"Yes."</span> The man replied.

Ade-Ay reached out his hand to shake that of Hiend's. Hiend also reached out as they shook hands.

<span style="color:navy;">"I am General Hiend, as you also already know."</span>

<span style="color:maroon;">"Yes I do. The New Republic has decided that I talk with you about a new government."</span>

<span style="color:navy;">"No, I will not confer. I AM the government."</span>

<span style="color:maroon;">"We can change it for the better. More money for the governement for one. Two, you get protection. Three, we will support your world with food, supplies, technology. The posssibilities are endless."</span>

<span style="color:navy;">"You must convince the people then..."</span>

<span style="color:maroon;">"Why must I convince them, you're the government remember?"</span>

<span style="color:navy;">"The selonians, I am the leader, but you must convince the selonians which are not easily swayed. I will not talk to you now. I have business to attend to. Come back later, during the confrence in exactly two standard hours."</span>

The man walked out. Serrus had no Idea why the man wouldn't listen to him, or pay attention. Freelock walked back to the transport outside the base to talk with the other officers. He past a few Selonians leaving, as he did entering. Serrus talked to his men.

<span style="color:maroon;">"General Hiend, their leader as they said blew us off. We'll need to convince the Selonians tonight.

I don't totally believe he is the leader though. They used him to distract us and keep us away from knowing about the government. Something is going on. We're going to find out, and find the real leader. I am going out to talk to the Selonians. I want to know what's going on or if they know anything about this.

Everyone keep a blaster handy. You six..."</span> He pointed out six men sitting near each other.

<span style="color:maroon;">"... will protect the transport outisde. You six..."</span> He points out six more men.

<span style="color:maroon;">"... will protect the inside. I am just making sure nothing happens. My two assistants will come with me to the confrence tonight."</span>

Serrus Freelock left along with two assigned assistants that were folowing him immediately left the transport after the twelve men moved to their assigned positions. Serrus ordered the two to split up and find some information from the Selonians in the area.

The Selonians, often referred to as serious-minded and refined, the Selonians are well-muscled and covered with short, sleek fur, giving them a seal-like appearance. They are excellent swimmers and taller, and more slender, than the humans. Most selonians live in burrows, or "dens" which Serrus had to find research on before he landed on Drall.

The Admiral split from his assistants in search of more information from the Selonians. He passed a few brutal-looking ones until he ran across a nicer-looking Selonian and stopped it in it's tracks, though it may be hard to communicate with them since he was wearing New Republic unfiorm.

<span style="color:maroon;">"Hello there..."</span>

"Hi."

The Selonian woman, it sounde like, talked in a rhaspy voice as if she had a bad cold or something.

"Who are you?"

<span style="color:maroon;">"My name is Serrus. Who is your leader of this world?"</span>

"I don't know. The only leader around here is General Hiend."

<span style="color:maroon;">"What's wrong?"</span>

"Me my friends are searching for food. Hiend has left us dry of jobs, food, water, and money. Everything is blocked off by his stupid military, we don't have any rights. We live like his slaves here."

<span style="color:maroon;">"Military?"</span>

"Most humans you see are wearing that black suit are from the military."

<span style="color:maroon;">"Wow, there seems to be few of them."</span>

"Yes."

<span style="color:maroon;">"How would you like it for them to be gone?"</span>

"I would love that very much."

The Selonian ran off without another word said.

<span style="color:maroon;">"Then gather all of the local Selonians in a secluded place. Come back to that transport when you have. We'll overthrow the government."</span>

Serrus pulled off the comm from his belt.

<span style="color:maroon;">"Guys, back to the transport. I have a plan."</span>

He turned off the link and ran back to the transport. They had an hour left for the finishing touches of the Admiral's plan. Serrus gathered the men inside, and out of the transport in the middle. The two assistants arrive shortly after Freelock.

The Selonian went to every close den and spread the news, and told them to keep quiet. She had them all gather in the largest underground den that they had to discuss their overthrow of the Drallian government.

<hr>

Serrus opened a comm link with the MC90.

<span style="color:maroon;">"We need a few more men and a squadron of defensive fighters for distraction. The Selonians will overthrow the Government, as it is small, weak, and useless."</span>

<span style="color:green;">"Yes Admiral."</span>

Just after the men had finished their plans. The female Selonian that Freelock had talked with earlier arrive ten minutes before the confrence. They were running out of time.

"We're ready..." She said out of breath.

<span style="color:maroon;">"Okay. All you guys need to do is all charge into the government building. It will distract the guards. We will sneak in behind and force them to sign a 'diplomatic' treaty. Inform the other Selonians."</span>

Just then the team of fighters descended from the sky and shot a few harmless blasts at the government building. Seconds later there were humans outside running to the turrets. They shot at the agile fighters, only to hit air. They continued shooting as the Selonians barged into the building.

The Selonians were very numerous and made their way into the building. There was nothing the guards could do. There seemed like endless amounts of them. You could see the tails behind them as the lat of them finally made it into the building.

Freelock and his team made their way inside, shooting the guards as they shot at them. So far there were no casualties, and the men were making it into the building, up and up and up. They made it to the final floor. They couldn't get into the room. it was blocked off my metal doors. They were stuck.

Freelock got another idea. He knew he should have thought of a way to figure this out before they entered.

<span style="color:maroon;">"Hiend, you're stuck. The Selonians are overthrowing you. There's nothing you can do now. Just give up."</span> The Admiral yelled.

The Admiral knew it wasn't going to work. But to his surprise the doors opened and shots came from the inside. That one selonian had managed to get inside with a few others. They had the gun to Hiends head. They took Hiend and put him in shackles. They forced him to sign their so called 'diplomatic' treaty.

The Selonians yelled out in Joy. Though the rest of the world had no Idea what was going on. In Hiend's command room, the men logged into the Holonet to send a mesage to the rest of the world.

<span style="color:maroon;">"All Selonians and Humans. You Government has been overthrown. You are now under New Republic control now. You will recive food, water, and protection from invasion.

I am Admiral Freelock from the New Republic. I am here to let you know you're free from the harsh government of Hiend. You will all soon be informed of the New Republic laws. They will not be harsh, but for your own good. They will keep you from criminals, or burglaries.

I want you all to gather in front of the once government building that Hiend had lived in. You will have two days to get there. All the transports there will be free. We will have a speech for you to listen to. Be there..."</span>

Freelock was very uncomfortable about what would happen in the future. All the men and women, and Selonians left the building cheering for happiness and peace. Ad the Admiral made it outside, the fighters ascended out of the atmosphere to the MC90. The admiral walked back to the transport when a man jumped in fron of him with a blaster, and a few men following him walked around from the other die of the transports with blasters in their hand also.

The Admiral didn't know what was going on.

"You have tried to takeover our Government I see. This won't work you know. Hiend was the coverup. Yuo don't know who the ruler. of this world really is."

Serrus Freelock was taken into captivity by the three men. The Selonians followed shortly behind, along with his team.

Serrus thought to himself... "How could I be so stupid? Why would I let myself get caught like this?. God, someone save me."

He didn't understand why he was under arrest. He
didn't understand why he would be so stupid to let himself get caught. But he was. He was not careful, and let himself open for capture. The government must have had to know something about the New Republic, otherwise they wouldn't have known to catch Serrus, and not anyone else.

Serrus was walked almost a mile when out of no where his own New Republic men surrounded him. He smiled as in return the three original men were tied up. Serrus was surprised to see the Selonians walk out of the trees and out of the nearby water to greet him once again. The Admiral and the rest of them found a into the nearby building to find more information of the government that they have no idea about.

Inside no one stopped them. No one was there.

[i]It was quiet and desolate. No sounds, no computers making noise. No machinery making noise. There were only lights. It seemed peculiar at first, as they made there way through. There were a few dead bodies every thirty feet or so as they walked through the cold, hard corridors. They finally realized that it was a barracks. It must have been taken over or destroyed by the locals. That was their guess. They slep there for the night.

The next morning they woke up at sunrise. There were only a couple windows, but enough to wake them up with the little light shining from the very edges of them. It was time they try what they came here for. It's time they get their planet back.

They needed to get into the base so they can tell the rest of the world what was going on. This way the Selonians would try an overthrow once again. This time they will be much more careful.

They walked through the building, trying to get a way in. Half the power circuits were either blown or turned off. If they were turned off, it must have been done from the inside. They finally made it to a pillar in the middle of the building. It had a door on it. They figured it must be an elevator to a lower floor, since the building was slightly shallow.

The group of men and the little amount of Selonians devised an idea to hack into the doors. They opened up the console with a few blaster shots. They shot them again and the circuit inside sparked. One of the selonians walked up to it and touched a few wires together.

Soon enough the doors opened, and they took the elevator down. They walked in to see a man sitting at a desk with his back to them laughing like a crazy maniac with no sense that they were there. There were computer screens, buttons, and everything sitting right in fron of the man.

"Hahaha, You thought you could overthrow me? I'm not that easily disposed of. You will soon learn that the new republic has made a mistake trying to take this planet over. There will soon be a team of military men at your transport. You won't be going home."

"And you won't live here long enough to go back to your own. Men?"

In seconds his men had blasters aimed at him. The man was surrounded at his computer. Again the man started laughing.

"I've won. You may kill me, but I haveve still won. You guys will be gone. The bombs will detonate and you'll be gone."

The man reached over for something. Immediately The Admiral pulled gun from his holster and yelled...

"NOW!!!"

The men shot at the man right before he pressed anything and sparks flew everywhere. It must have been some type of droid.

Everyone covered their faces with their arms from the red sparks. It was as if time stoof for a moment. Everything was still. Freelock motioned towards the droid. he figured someone muct have been speaking through it, and controlling it. Freelock pushed the droid off the seat.

"Alright. Cover my back in case anyone comes in. It's time we tell the truth to the Selonians. It's time they find out why they haven't gotten what they need."

He started typing, and hitting a few buttons like he new exactly what to do. He pressed a button under one of the screens. it showed a picture of himself.

"Good."

He continued presssing buttons and reached over at the very big one above him. It turned on, he could see the picture of already hundreds of humans and selonians waiting outside the tower.

"Men, Women, Selonians! It's time you find out why your government has failed, and why you need a new one. One of the New Republic."
