“Heavy weapons? Not likely….” Asri muttered as she went back up to her room to change. “I’m an assassin…not a heavy weapons expert.” She doubted she would be able to even use a blaster properly, as her specialty was stealth and quick lethal melee strikes. But maybe that will be all she needed....

She changed into a set of dark, tight fitting clothing and took a couple of bottles of dark green camo paint with her. When she meant up with Maskis in the courtyard he gave her a questioning look. “My best weapon is surprise.” She explained. “If I don’t cover up my white scales I might as well be a target on a firing range. Meaning I can probably sneak my way in if I am lucky: had to sneak my way into tight security before on a job so depending on what sensory abilities those borgs have I should be alright. Be helpful if you have any input on that front. Honestly, I don’t know how to help you get in though, unless you are willing to let me do any data gathering, critter killing myself once I’m in.”

He sighed. "I wish you could, but unfortantly the prowler's information database won't authorize you to access it, unless you've got a key card from the fleet on you," he pulled out the one from Lavality, "she apperently left this in her room, which is a mistake and she probably already knows it." he said and put it back. "Unfortantly it requires a second officer as well," he pulled out his own key card, "both cards have to be put in at the same time, and the officer has to punch in the right key code. What that means it, you and I go in," should be mention what would happen if the wrong code was inputed?

Maskis walked toward the exit. "One more thing, if we get the code wrong, everyone here will know it." he said, "our prowlers use a soaped up reactor to power there engines and weapon systems, thats why our ships tend to self destruct instead of being taken by the enemy." he looked away from Asri. "The thing is... why didn't the crew blow her up... the planets atmosphere would've more than protected this planet from the explosion." he thought about it then shrugged. "Once you get in, find the control panel for the ships cyborgs, once you shut them down I can get in. As for that critter, if it was able to over whelm the prowlers internal defense systems, then I worry what it might be."

He checked his blaster, although he wasn't sure what good it would do him, what he needed was a rocket launcher. "It would probably be best to destroy those cyborgs either way, but I really want to find out if a second party is involved." he was getting concerned, the situation was matching up exactly as it did four years ago, back on Korribon. He worried, it couldn't be HIM, because HE was suppose to be DEAD. "Lets get going." he said

“Tell me what the controls look like and I’ll see what I can do.” Asri said as she walked with him. “So how are we going to get there? Walk?”

She turned around and found herself a lone. “What the…Maskis?” Oh don’t tell me you changed your mind about needing my… Before she could complete the thought Maskis drove up in a landspeeder, one that obviously couldn’t be his. Oh boy…. She thought as she hoped in before the owner of the vehicle could spot them: her white scales would make it far too easy for the police to know the one that had stolen the speeder.

“I’d suggest that you park this thing out of their agro range.” She said as she started smearing the paint over her white scales. “So that we have a chance at actually returning this vehicle when we are done?” Not that she was completely innocent in this area herself: a few times she had to ‘commandeer’ a vehicle for her own purposes in the past.

Once they were out of the city she spoke again. “Ok, when we get there, you stay hidden while I sneak up to the Prowler, if it looks like they are about to spot me, you distract them and I’ll make a run for the Prowler then. Any info on the sensor abilities on these borgs would be nice to know now, so I know what I am up against.

“Just to recap the rest, once I’m inside I’ll find the borg controls and pray that critter doesn’t find me before I disable borgs. Again, where are those controls located and what do they look like? It would be just too silly if they had signs leading the way to the controls….” By the time she had stopped talking she had finished covering most of her exposed scales with the paint: the back of her legs being the only part she hadn’t done yet for obvious reasons. “Man…it’s been a long time since I had to use this stuff…” She muttered to herself as she studied her now green hands. Briefly, she thought back to a time when she didn’t need to paint her scales to look green. Instead, her scales had been green naturally. With a sad sigh she pushed that memory away, focusing on the task at hand.

Maskis turned the bike in teh general direction of the prowler. "Controls are located in level down from the entrance. You'll know it when you see it, it's one of the most vital area's of the ship that are protected by four autogun turrets." he looked around before turning the bike around a rock. "The borg's sensors where redesigned to pick up anyone carrying a weapon." he shook his head. "the downside to that, is that it doesn't pick up knifes, or vibroblades, only blasters and anything else that can 'fire' something" he slowed the bike down as they approuched the prowler.

He stopped the bike just west of the prowler, a large outcropping of rocks was a good spot to hide it. "There are small drones that permiate the inside of the prowler, they shouldn't harm you since they are medical droids, but in the event that they try to 'stick' you, just stick em back." he said as he got off. "One last thing, I don't know what this critter is, so becareful." he said to her

He stood there behind the rocks, using his binocs to sight the borgs who where walking around, almost aimlessly, but he could tell they where scanning the horizon. Couple years ago we found her, we also found some sort of lab protected by spider like bugs, they where twelve legged, two additional legs had a blaster and a flamethrower built in, pitty we had to annilate them because we could've figured out how they managed to evolve to have those weapons. he thought to himself as he checked the ship itself. He couldn't tell where that critter was, what worried him was the fact that the spider that they encountered in the lab wasn't detectable, and he feared that they might just be revisiting the past. If that where true, then Asri was indeed going to have a fun time, the spider would stalk her and wait until it felt she was off her guard. Although he knew she would NEVER lower her guard, so he didn't worry much. "I wonder why the fleet isn't responding though... in a case like this they'd have already sent several squads of x-wings and b-wings to investigate the disapperence." he was getting very worried, in fact, so worried he was wondering if he should leave the planet before Lavality arrived, and check in with fleet personally, he cast the thought aside and returned to watching Asri. "Good luck"

Just blaster type weapons? Was the designer a moron? Asri thought to herself as she exited the landspeeder and started applying the paint to the parts of her body she couldn’t do while sitting in the landspeeder. Any designer worth his salt would have included melee weapons. “Sounds like it should be a cakewalk for me to get in, but I know better then that.” She said. “If these borgs have been reprogrammed without the Fleet’s knowledge, they may now look for melee weapons as well. So I am not going to take any chances.”

She was finished with applying the paint, so while she waited for it to dry a bit she studied the pattern of the borgs patrolling, only to find it to be somewhat aimless. Looking toward the horizon…meaning they are likely only looking for things close to, at, or above their eye level. She thought. Makes sense, as most that would be wanting to get in would be sentients…however…. Asri dropped to all fours and started making her way toward the Prowler, using the shrubs and bushes as cover. Hardly anyone expects a T’Doshok to move like a quadraped. Course…it helps when most T’Doshok are too full of themselves to even consider it’s usefulness in situations like this. She couldn’t help but grin at the thought.

There was one disadvantage to walking like this: the same shrubs and bushes that now helped conceal her completely from view, prevented her from seeing the cyborgs most times. Thus she had to rely on her other senses, especially hearing, to determine if a cyborg was close to her. A couple of times she heard one start to move very close to her and she had to hunker down and pray it didn’t look down, as her camouflage wasn’t exactly perfect. It was times like this she wished they had time to set up some means of electron communication so Maskis could warn her if a borg was heading her way. Nothing could be done about that now, so she pressed on with only her senses as her guide.

Finally she reached the hull of the ship, but now came another problem: getting into it. Carefully she moved around it, looking for an access hatch of some sort. She found one on the port side that was partly covered by a bush. It was partly ajar, likely due to the impact of the crash, so all Asri had to do was pull it open the rest of the way, which it did with a loud screech. Instinctively Asri ducked and looked around, looking to see if any borgs heard that: luck was with her as no borg was in sight, but she knew that wouldn’t be the case for long, so she slipped in while she had the chance.

The interior of the ship was a mess, wires dangling and sparking and the lights flickering in random intervals, which wrecked havoc with her eyes. They adjusted pretty quickly to changing light levels, but even she suffered temporary blindness when the light level suddenly went from almost complete darkness to high noon sun. On top of that there was the unmistakable stench of death in the air: she doubted that was the creature rotting.

Generator must be on it’s last legs. She thought as she quickly made her way down the hallways as quietly as she could. Which means we need to do what we need to do quickly… She really didn’t feel like getting blown up, that’s for sure. With the creature with relatively unknown abilities lurking somewhere on the ship, this had the makings of a horror/suspense movie. This was turning out to be a fun adventure for sure, though fun here was subjective….

Somewhere in the ship

Something moved acrosss the wall of one of the quarters, it's legs causing scratchs on the wall itself. He moved into the ventalation shift and crawled down the shaft

The critter stopped halfway down the shaft and looked through a grate, there it saw two bodys in another room, completely untouched by any other means, apperently killed when the room lost oxygen, this part of the ship was without oxygen thanks to the critter. It popped off the grate and crawled down the wall and headed straight for the bodys, intend on making a meal out of them. As it got close it stopped, something new was on the ship, the smell wasn't strong, but it could tell exactly what it was, the critter moved back into the shafts, and waited, it had a feeling it knew what the new meal was after, since five others had already tried in the past hour

back outside

Maskis waited there. "Wonder if she made it into the ship." he said as he sat down hiding from the borgs, one was wondering a little to close for comfort, apperently it had indeed taken interest in this area. "Asri.... hurry up and find those controls...."

Asri cautiously made her way through the ship, remaining on all fours despite the ample height room of the cooridors: she wanted to continue to keep a low profile. Her senses were on full alert, tuned to any strange sound, scent or movement. The scattered remaining droids startled her a couple of times before she learned to ignore their presence: they were ignoring her anyway. The smell of death kept getting stronger the deeper she went in and finally she found one of the sources of the stench: a body.

The man was wearing a uniform she knew the Fleet didn't wear, which told her that third parties were making an attempt at the data here. Apparently though, the creature was doing a good job at keeping anyone from getting to it. It considers itself to have no master. Asri concluded, taking the time to inspect the body fully, to see how the man died. The wounds were very precise and accurate and this worried her. This hinted that the creature was at least semi intelligant, which could make her task here that much more difficult. Animal intelligance was predictable, sentient intelligance...

The sooner we finish here the better. She thought as she started to move on, it was then that a scent other then death reached her nose. It was faint, but obviously reptilian and even more worrying it smelled vague Trandoshan. Don't tell me...another one of my kin has been a victim of genetic experimentation... She thought with a faint growl. Or at least his DNA stolen for the purpose... Seems there's been something of a rash of experimentation on Trandoshans in recent years: Tiskis suffered at the hands of Imperials, Asri herself suffered from a third party with links to the Empire and now this poor creature.

Asri forced her mind not to dwell on what this could mean as the body was fairly fresh: not even an hour old in fact, so she moved on quickly. She didn't know how this creature would react to her presence, but she didn't really want to find out. Moving quickly through the cooridors, yet mindful of how much noise she made and keeping her own senses aware of her surroundings. Did she just hear something in the vents....or was that her imagination?

Finally her objective came into sight when she saw the turrets on the ceiling: thank the goddess they were deactivated! Asri wasted no time, aware that by now not only could the creature be watching her every move, but Maskis could be getting in a spot with the cyborgs outside. Fortunately the terminal had it's own powersupply and responded to her commands. Kind of silly to not require a key card here... She thought as she searched through the menus for what she was looking for. Finally she found the command she was looking for and activated it. Ok Maskis, get your butt in here and lets take care of... Her thought froze in her head when a shadow that wasn't there before appeared briefly in the flickering light. Instinctively she drove to one side as fast as she could.....

The critter moved across the ceiling, looking around, it had seen someone or something interacting with the control panel, but whatever it was had moved away. A thin silk came from his adnomine and it slowly lowered itself to the ground. It was rather big to say the least, at least, but still half the size of an adult human. It had eight legs, two of which where not on the ground at all, but something protruded from there ends.

It moved across the deck, first heading towards the door, then stopped and looked back inside

Maskis smiled when he noticed that the borgs had stopped moving, taking a chance he got up and stood there, none of them reacted. He made his way quickly to the prowler, finding the hatch and ripping it open, he made his way down the hallway, encountering the body first; he knelt down and checked the wounds, the precision, the accuracy, there no doubt what was in here. Shit.... stealth wasn't something he was concerned about now, getting the DNA and blowing up the prowler was his ONLY concern now

He made it to the room where the controls where, the critter was on the ceiling now, but apperently ignoring him. He glanced around but couldn't see Asri. "Damn.... I doubt that critter got her, but where'd she go?" he asked himself, all the while being watched from directly above

A GM spider… Asri thought as she watched the creature the best she could from underneath the overhang of one of other consoles. Not at all what I was picturing in my head. She was expecting some type of reptile, going by the description on the datapad and what she smelled on the body.

I suppose someone in a state of panic ‘could’ mistake a line of silk as a ‘long tail’, but that’s stretching it. She thought as she watched it wander around on the ground, kind of aimlessly, for a couple of moments before returning to the ceiling. Unless…there is more then one creature onboard. That didn’t sound good at all to her.

She was rather surprised it didn’t find her as she knew it had ‘looked’

right at the spot she was hiding. It should have seen her in fact, but it didn’t seem to care. Asri knew that most ‘natural’ spiders tended to have vision based movement: hence why she was being as still as possible, but there was no reason for this GM one to not have a different means of vision. The fact it didn’t lunge at her when she moved so suddenly to get out of it’s strike range seemed to hint at this. Either that or it didn’t strike for another reason. Maybe the fact it had failed to stop her from turning off the cyborgs left it in a state of confusion as to what to do

now. There was no way of knowing for sure and with the reactor in the

state that it is, she really didn’t have time to ponder over these things.

Then Maskis came running in and strangely the spider didn’t even seem to notice him. Even stranger, Maskis didn’t see her either.

Something is not right here…. She thought. The flickering lights were staying off long enough so that Maskis’ eyes would have switched to infravision, which means she should be showing up as the sole real warm spot in this room, save perhaps the spider: the part of the console she was

hiding under faced right at the door Maskis came in through. Either

Maskis had some eye surgery to alter how his eyes saw in darkness or…

The nanos in my body have lowered by body temperature…. She thought with slight distress. If so, it was another sign of things to come for her.

But that wasn’t important right now, what was important was the fact that spider was right above Maskis and no telling when it would decide to drop in on him. "Maskis above you!" She called out.

Above him she saw the spider react to her voice and she wisely moved out of her hiding place as fast as she could….

Maskis first instinct was to roll out of the way, which he did, and landed several feet away from where he had been, he took out his blaster and began to fire at the celing, whatever was there must've moved

The critter landed right in front of him, but for some reason he couldn't see it. His vision was highly blurred, whenever he looked away from the door his vision cleared up, but when he looked toward where the critter was his vision was blurred; he ignored his vision and used his hearing, and fired off several more rounds, again missing. "Errrrrrr"

It was playing with him he thought, but he didn't have TIME to be played with; he needed to reconize what information was left in the database and soon before the ship decided to go nove. "Asri! Cover your eyes!" Maskis yelled and threw something into the air, he heard it hit something, a second later it exploded with a bright light, he heard some streeching that must've been coming from the critter; his vision cleared up and noticed that it was indeed blind. "Lets get going!" he said and exited the room. The room they needed to go to was a few decks down, but his pad was telling him that there was some sort of oxygen closer on the lower decks, seems they would need to open the oxygen vales before they could go
