Bridge of Imperial Star Destroyer Gero's Sight, Orbit Around Germanica

Max Reem stepped through the doors leading to the bridge of the massive warship. His thoughts were clouded, and not even himself could see them. Ever since he got his first Jedi training he had known how to block his thoughts, but he never knew how to keep them open to himself.

Several men stood up in the front of the ship and saluted.

The man farthest to the right, tall, fat and ugly, walked up a little towards Max and spoke: "All systems work well, there is no signs of threat in the system."

Max shrugged his shoulders before speaking, he felt sore, and he was tired too. "Good. I plan to go to the order's stronghold myself, maybe with a few of our guards too, but that is all. If they see our way we will have a new ally, and if it doesn't... I am unsure of what the consequences would be."

All four of the men, including Max looked grim, they all knew that the consequences would be horrible.

The next day was full of quietness. Max was to meet with the Order of Var'Rock today. A group of force gifted individuals that knew no mercy and and were renowned for their amazing abilities in combat. They had announced being interested in joining the Germanican Grays, but they were unsure of it yet. They wished to meet leader of the organization first.

Max Reem wasn't very enthusiastic about going to a race that believed in combat as much as Germanicans did, and not only that they were force gifted too. All Max could think of that morning was his meeting with them.

Max exited his quarters on the large ship and headed top the bridge, his stomach was growling, but he ignored that with his false blanket of confidence and strong will. As he made the short walk to the bridge he realized that not many people were in there stations.

Strange... Max thought, he walked through the door and into the bridge, where the fat, tall and ugly officer stood. The man turned towards Max with a look of dismay on his face. Stranger...

The man rushed to Max and grabbed his hand. "Are you alright?"

Max quickly pulled his hand out of the man's grasp and put on a confused look on his face. "Of course I am... What is going on here?"

The man put a look of concern on his red face and scowled at Max. "We heard yopu screaming last night in your quarters. Everyone was afraid, but we didn't want to go in there, and we couldn't anyways, there was an alarm on the ship stating that all officers were required on the bridge, once everyone got here, we were locked in, and that was when we heard your screaming."

Max turned away from the man, he had not remembered anything from the night. Could he really have been screaming, or was it someone else? And how did they know it was coming from his quarters when they were all locked up on the bridge?

Epic... though Max as he evaluated his situation. Somehow the alarm went off ordering all officers to the bridge, then he didn't hear it, which is strange because he is always observant to his surroundings. Then he was heard screaming in his sleep, when he was asleep the whole time. It was too strange.
Max opened his portable comm unit and entered Gavin Thane's number. After a few minutes, a small picture of Gavin came on to the watch like audio-visual system.

"Ah, Max, how are you? You look tired." Gavin spoke smiling with a deep warmth, his blonde hair neatly brushed back.

"I am not very tired, but I am distressed. Some things have been happening... weird things, things that I can't figure out. Apparently, when I was asleep, within the last 10 hours, an alarm stated that all officers were to report to the bridge. When they got there, they heard screaming coming from my quarters, and they tried to get off the bridge, but all means of exits, were blocked."

"Why were you screaming? And how were the exits blocked?" Gavin fidgeted in his seat, apparently getting into the conversation more, his eyes were scanning Max's face.

"I don't remember screaming. Exits, they were just locked, that was all. I had a group of men check all passengers and crew. Everyone was on the bridge, and no one was seen doing anything suspicious. Whoever did this planned good, or there was just a malfunction on the ship, which is strange," Max frowned, increasing the lines on his forehead.

"What am I to do? You and the crew know more of it than anyone else. Besides, my job isn't to be a detective!" Snapped Gavin, his face getting red.

"I never said anything, I was just telling you, seeing if you had an idea. I don't know whether or not I should talk to Philos, he is more wise in these matters, but I haven't heard from him for awhile." Max straightened his face to show a little more contentness. "What do you think?"

"I think nothing, but I believe you should find Philos and speak to him, but hurry, I beleive you have a date with the Var'Rock." Gavin smirked and Max rolled his eyes.

"Goodbye Gavin." Max said as he turned of his comm unit. And good luck...

Max headed out to the bridge, he wished to find Philos.

Straightening my newly commisioned uniform out, smoothing the wrinkles and adjusting the buttons and rank to make myself look as presentable as possible, I walk to the door which had just allowed Max to enter the area. "Sir, Colonel Storm reporting. Everything up here seems to be in order. I've had security teams on full alert and random patrols to go about the ship with double gaurds on all the ships interior hard points. No one is getting through here."
After giving my report I look back to him and clear my throat. I had hoped he liked my report on the tightened security. Being a newly commisioned officer I surely hoped I was doing my duties as I should. I wanted my superior to know he made the right decision of putting me into a position of authority. I wanted him to know I would do the best job that I could all the while keeping the Chain of Command informed of my actions. Back on my homeplanet we had a Colonel go rogue, fighting the war on his own whim. Using methods that seemed unsound. He had to be eliminated for the security of the army. And this disgrace was something I wished to avoid. And also by doing this I would boost my higher's confidence and more important tasks would be appointed to me.
"Sir, may I ask what this is all about? Is it a drill or is this something more serious? Not even CommScan picked up any enemy activity. I would like to know whats going on is all sir."

While Jaiden spoke, Max continued to nod.

"Sir, may I ask what this is all about? Is it a drill or is this something more serious? Not even CommScan picked up any enemy activity. I would like to know whats going on is all sir." Jaiden's face looked concern.

"I am unsure, and believe me, if this is a drill, I did not issue it. I am guessing that our meeting with the Var' Rock has something to do with it, but again, I am unsure of this." Max spoke, he didn't want to think this was real, he wanted it to be a drill, but all drills were to be issued by Max or a kigh ranking officer with Max's permission. This was just too strange. "As for now, keep doing whatever you have been doing Colonel, and may the force be with you, for I am to leave now."

Max turned and exited the door and headed to his quarters. His mind was filled with so many questions, and few answers. He was too tired ot think, it felt like ages since his last rest.

With a beep from his comm unit, Max looked down at it, but decided it now worth answering. With his mind like this, he wouldn't be able to carry on a human conversation, besides, he was already in his quarters.

Before going to sleep, Max looked at himself in the mirror, he looked horrible. He had dark circles under his eyes, he had cuts on his face and a bruise on his jaw. Half of the stuff he didn't even know how he got. Max groaned, he was so young, but he was the head of a powerful organization, where almost everyone recruited happened to be older than himself.

Max turned away from the mirror, he took his outter robe off and then layed on his cot and fumbled around with what happened today. This past week had been full of extreme happenings, both good and bad, and both at the same time.

I smile as he gave me command. It was nice to finally see my hard work paying off. And so it did, and well to. Becoming the commander over an Imperial Star Destroyer was not something to be taken lightly. Sure there were more powerful ships in the Galaxy but the Star Destroyer was still a titan of a warship. Just its pressence could make a dispute disolve or even your enemies run as fast as they could without even as much as a shot fired. I walk to the main veiwport and begin my charge over the Gero's Sight.
"Helmsman, bring us into a loose orbit. I want to be able to pull out and be ready to engage anything that might come at us as soon as we would be able." I watch for a moment as the warship slowely and very slightly changed course and instead of a standard orbit around Germanica, the ship went into a loose orbit. This allowed a better response time to incoming ships from hyperspace but it still gave the land advantages of being in orbit, fast deployment of troops, orbital bombardment, less flight time for medical ships and just the fact you were still in orbit.
Once the loose orbit was established I give a second order which was followed through as soon as it was given. "I want fighters launched. Bring one squadron to their ships and the rest of our fighters on standby. Have half the squadron take a loose patrol around the Sight and the other half ready to rotate out after an hour and a half patrol time." This precaution was a well taken one, it allowed good response time to enemy fighters and also allowed the patrolling squadron to not get tired from hours of non-stop patrols, the rotation would keep them fresh. And also another benefit of having fighters off the deck was that if any ship at all entered the general area, they could be inspected with close range scanners by the fighters.
Once everything had been set in motion I take a seat in the command chair and monitor important information that scrolled by on the veiw screen... there wasn't going to be anything getting by on my watch...

"Ugh...," Max moaned as he got up. He hadn't remembered falling asleep, but he should have figured he would.

"Sir... sir... SIR!" Max heard the voice right in his room to his left... or his right. "Are you alright sir? There has been a attack sir, someone was found decapitated!" the voice stated, in a shaky tone, apparently he was frightened of smoehting.

As Max's vision appeared less foggy he perked his head up and rubbed his eyes and saw the man. STRAIGHT ABOVE HIS FACE! "Ahh! Get away! Get away! Why are you in my quarters? I was asleep, ugh, I never get any privacy!" Max snapped at the man, he appeared to be eighteen, he was definetly a new recruit.

"I am s-s-sorry s-sir, I d-d-didn't mean t-t-to embarass y-you!" the man stuttered as his face grew red as if he had just drinken hot Corellian sauce.

"You didn't embarass me. You just put your face a centimeter away from mine while I was asleep, while shouting your sithspawned head off!" Max relaized he had frighten the man, he seemed to be already shaken up enough for some reason. Max put on a false smile and spoke quickly. "Sorry - by the way, why did you come in here?"

The man seemed to be startled by the sudden coolness in max's voice, he didn't know that Max was a master at hiding his emotions to non-force users. "Uhh... sir, a man was found decapitated in the ships life support room. He also had a note in his pocket. I was told to give it to you."

"Yes, thank you. You may be off now." Max rubbed his eye with his hand while reaching for the datapad with the other.

"Of course sir, yes sir!" the man's voice drowned out into Max's thoughts.

"Weird..." was all he muttered as he grabbed the datapad. He felt something in it powerful and evil, but he didnt know what. Max continued ot study the holopad, but then decided to read it.

*A tall humanoid species popped up in the middle of the floor, he carried a man's head in one hand and a vibroknife in the other. He appeared to be a Var'Roc junior warrior from the painted markings on his body. And then he spoke: "No one else shall be harmed if you comply with my orders. I demand that you do not engage in diplomatic negotiations with the Var'Roc High Elder Council. if you do, then the Germanican Grays will perish!"*

The holopad ended and Max was left in the small emptry quarters to think over this new insect-like threat, or so it appeared. Max thought of how silly this man was. The Germanican Garys could wipe out this whole race, let alone a rebellion.

Max smiled and exited his quarters, he was ready to go to the Var'ROc High Elder Council, whatever a mere... fool said.

The leader of the Var' Roc exited his quarters in Tareeka, the capital of Tareek, the capital of the Var' Roc highlords.
Sek'nos warily glided along into the direction of the exit of his palace towards the waiting transport ready to take him to the assembly room, where he was to speak to the High Var' Roc council on the current updates.
Lord Pareja exited the building and entered the waiting transport. As he entered he saw that the Primus Maximus was sitting in the passesngers seat, along with the Quaestor, Aedile, and Consuls of the Var' Roc government.
"Greetings m'lord." the Primus Maximus spoke to Sek'nos.
"Hello Morrigan... Aedile, Consul... Quaestor..." Sek'nos mumbled. In his old age it was hard to understand him, and everyone knew that the Primus Maximus was next on the thrown. "What excatly is this meetin about again?
The council looked at each other and then at the High Lord.
"We are speaking on the condition on our relationship with the Grays." The Aedile seemed to speak out of his nose. "They're offering protection over our small government... as they said."
Sek'nos made a clicking sound in his throat. "The Grays?"
"The Germanican Grays, m'lord." Morrigan spoke aloud, she was remembering her past times with Max Reem, so long ago.
"Who is speaking for them?"
"Max Reem... the leader in fact." Primus Maximus Morrigan spoke flashing her teeth.
"And when is he to arrive?"
"Within the hour sir." The Consul spoke keeping himself in the shadows. "If at all possible, could I speak to him first? That way I could prep him and help him understand the way things go..."
The Primus Maximus and Sek'nos locked eyes. Sek'nos could tell that Morrigan didn't like the idea either. "I am afraid that the whole council deserves to see him first, not just one of the members."
Sek'nos felt the ripple of anger come from the Consul as did everyone else in the transport.
He will be removed from the Council once we get this Germanican Gray business sorted out Lord Pareja promised himself.

Max stepped out of the shuttle that had let him off in front of the large building, with large stides he made a great pace up to the door.

Along his way he pondered on what he shall say. He was so into the chaos aboard Gero's Sight that he had not even thought about what he should say in front of the council.

As he reached the door a man looked. "Do you have an appointment?"

Max grinned broadly, and replied in a smug tone. "Of course I have an appointment. Do you think I just strolled here to mess with you?"

The man raised an eyebrow and scanned Max up and down. "Well?"

"Well what?" Max replied in a silly tone.

This guy is so dumb, I doubt he even knows what I am doing.

"Well, what is your name and what or whom are you representing?" The man spoke in an iritated tone, apparently just now realizing Max's mischievous actions.

"I am Max Reem, and I am here on account of the Germanian Grays." Max spoke in a clear voice, that held his own, normal regular tone.

The man pulled our a little microphone like thing and mumbled into it. After several moments, he spoke. "Welcome sir, you may go in now."

Max put a straight fae and strolled through the fancy doors and towards a desk to his left.

"Mr. Reem?" a female's voice spoke from behind him.

"Yes?" Max said turning around seeing who the conversator was.

"In here please." the lady spoke signalling a door.

"Of course." Max spoke in a deep voice as he made his way to the door.

As Max got into the door the lady spoke out loud. "Top floor please."

As she said the words, the door closed and a swaying motion, and then Max realised he was going higher and higher.

Ding!

The sound startled the weary Max as he opened his eyes real quickly and saw the door open and the lady exit. Max looked to his side and decided to follow the woman.

After a few turns and a long walk, the woman smiled. "Alright Mr. Reem, we are here, just enter this door and if you need anything, just speak to the man in there. When you are ready, just go through the door in there congruent to this one."

The woman spoke in a professional way. "Thank you madam." Max replied smiling, and as she looked he winked. She bit her bottom lip and started walking away.

Max watched her leave, and as she turned the corner out of sight, he opened the door and saw a large desk, a machine in the middle of it, and a man dressed in a purple outfit standing adjacent of the machine on the low table.

"Max Reem, I presume?" The man spoke not even opening his eyes.

"You presume right." Max held a straight face, he wasn't sure of what to make of this man.

"You wish to have...?" The man groaned as he said this and started to massage his temples.

Max thougt the man looked silly, he was extremely thin, only wearing a thin white loin cloth over himself, and he was bald. "I would like... a drink of the finest water you have, and a... pear."

The man opened one eye and looked Max over and then closed it. "First one, eh? Look in the fridge by your foot."

Max looked at his feet and saw a knee high fridge, he opened it and it contained all kinds of nice stuff for suck a miniscule fridge. He pulled out a pear, and a nice crystal clear water. "Amazing..." Max mumbled as he took a sip of his water and a bit out of his pear.

"You're welcome, just enter this door here when you are ready to speak to the council. All weapons must be left here." The man spoke in a thick accent, which reminded Max of a drunk Sullustan.
"Sure thing." Max said as he finished off his pear and gulped down his water. "Thank you for the niceties."

The man nodded and Max made his way to the door, wearily, still unsuer of what to say, but at each step he made, a new seed of confidence sprouted and he started forming an image of what he must say.

The door slided open as Max reached six inches of it and inside the room, a spherial shape, at the top of the rotunda tower, which was made of glass was six chairs. Each sitting, two Aediles at the end, a Quaestor second to the left, a ProConsul seond to the right, a Consul right next to the High Lord, on his left, and the Primus Maximus right next to the old man, to his right.

As Max looked over the faces, only one looked familiar. "Morrigan." Max sighed the name in a dreamy way.

Morrigan smiled, but turned to the High Lord, to allow hom to speak. He looked at her and nodded and then looked at Max.

"Mr. Reem. You are here on behalfth of your... Germanican brethrens?" the High Lord asked closing his eys, yet focusing on Reem.

"Yes. I am here to help build a relationship among the Germanican Grays and the Var' Roc. To build an everlasting unity and brotherhood." Max smiled and spread his hands apart and slowly connected them again.

The Consul shifted his weight and Morrigan raised an eyebrow at Max. "How do you propse we could do that Max? How do we know you won't just drag us instantly into war?"

Max groaned mentally and looked up at Morrigan. I thought you were on my side!

She just shrugged and Max thought quickly for an answer. "Well, first we could fous on building your people and helping you grow."

Max stopped for a bit and then continued. "I understand you don't have a fleet? We could send some technological engineers to help your people build some ships to defend yourselves, or expand your grasp in the galaxy!"

Morrigan looked up at the High Lord Sek'nos and he looked down at her and they both nodded. Pareja then turned to Max and stood up.

"Mr. Reem, we are interested in this proposal, and we ask that you wait in the temporary quarters we have provided you with, while the council makes a decision."

Max looked at Pareja as he opened a door. "May the force guide you in your decision."

Pareja nodded and smiled. "And you too Mr. Reem."
