The Zenith,
Ison System

The bridge shuddered and shook under the force of the torrential impacts, tearing through shielding and even into hull. Atmosphere vented, and Theren Gevel grabbed hold onto one of the many handrails. Some of the missiles, on a predictable course towards a single target, were sliced out of space by countermeasures and random laserfire, but the rest rained home. “Contact the Basilisk and Paragon – have them order their Interdictors to raise their gravity wells and relay their coordinates.”

The Immobilizer Cruisers and their escorting Imperial Star Destroyers, having been moving around the enemy vessels for quite some time, had now effectively flanked them, one on each side, well out of range. Their gravity wells thrown up, prepared to pull the Imperial fleet out of hyperspace, they sat in wait, much closer to the planet. The main fleet had already readied their hyperdrives, the Attack Spheres recalling their TIE Devils as per standard jumping procedure. “Co-ordinates coming in… complete, sir.”

“Order the jump,” Theren said.

And in an instant, the Imperial warships leapt past their Sovereignty counterparts, flying to the left and right in predetermined battle groups. Realspace became hyperspace became realspace before Theren’s eyes, and an instant later, the ORS fleet was nowhere to be seen. Left behind, with their ponderous vessels needing to turn about before pursuing the Imperials, it was doubtful they would be able to catch the Zenith or her compatriots. “Gravity wells down. All vessels up to full maintainable thrust,” Theren ordered. “Load missiles. How long until we’re in range of the planet?”

“Not long.”

(I also realize you are off doing whatever right now. You were patient while I had computer trouble, so I still won't be pushing the 72 rule.)

OOC: But not this patient. Sorry, guys, I understand that one of you is away, but this is fairly ridiculous. For a group with enough members for a merge you seem to have dropped off the face of the earth.

“Fire,” Theren ordered. “Concentrate on the closest shipyard – transponder designation Black 16.”

From each of the Attack Spheres, Victory Star Destroyers, TIE Defenders and Skipray Blastboats, leapt a barrage of missiles, tearing into the superstructure of the shipyard. They twisted and maimed its durasteel skin, storming into its heart and causing numerous large detonations. The result was a considerable amount of destruction, both to the integrity of the shipyard and the construction facilities themselves.

“Closing into turbolaser range, sir.”

“Load missiles again, and target Black 16 for bombardment.”

Damages:
- Severe damage to Black 16.

"This is Ison, we are recieving orders to stand down to Imperial Forces. Accept our surrender, sirs, and we will lower the shield and allow Imperial Forces on to the planet. We also request you cease bombarding the shipyards"

The ships, left in the dust, ceased their turn-around towards Imperial forces, and sat warily, unsure as to what to do next. Planetary defences were de-activated at once.

Theren glanced warily back at Tornel. "Order the ceasefire."

Tornel nodded. Before long, dropships were approaching the shipyards and the planet, bearing Legionnaires. Word came quickly from the Varonat system of the surrender there. It seemed, then, that the Maelstrom campaign had been successful -- and long before it had been expected.

"Well," Tornel commented. "It would seem that you are an Imperial hero."

Theren smirked. "So it would seem."
