Chapter 1: The Meeting

OOC: Closed.

IC: Lake Krul

The Dark Killer...

When most would have turned away from Lake Krul, Zeta stayed. Everything about the lake brought darkness, inviting fear. The particular land that the Zabrak stood upon had been given its name by way of a Dark Jedi named Kaox Krul. In short, he'd dueled a Jedi named Crian Maru. The duel lasted for many hours, the Jedi eventually giving in to the darkside. Both force users eventually became so consumed by their darkside powers that they destroyed one another as well as the land around them, thus creating another place for the darkside to live on.

Yet it was not these restless spirits that had brought the Iridonian there, but something else...

"I have done my part, now it is up to you..."

Lightning crackled within the distance....

Darkness besieged Zeta from all around, but it was the cold impassive gaze that stared back at him that Zeta noticed above all else.

Those eyes, it was almost like he was staring back at himself. The proprietor of the gaze reached out to him with implacable silence to which the Zabrak rambunctiously laughed at.

His laughter eventually ceased and with the faded laughter came a triumphant piercing gaze that shot right through to the very core of the creature that dared to counter him.

"So you think you can't be tamed?.."

Heated madness implanted into Zeta's eyes.

"... We shall see about that..."

The shades of the skies quickly turned to black, the clouds themselves quickly enveloping the landscape behind the fellow Zabrak. Lightning could be seen brightening the horizon followed quickly but feint but still boisterous thunder.

The eyes had in fact seemed to pierce Zeta, almost like that of a mirror to his soul - perhaps it was also the same for Ophidian. Although with the passive gaze one could not come to the conclusion quickly.

Ophidian met Zeta's laughter with that of an impartial stare. Countering Zeta's with what seemed to be to Ophidian premature laughter.

He then saw the anger in Zeta's eyes. But Ophidian kept what intensity he had in him controlled. Almost like the calm before the storm.

A cold, calculated, yet calm voice answered the Sith Lord.

"...We shall see the prophecy come to pass and fulfilled..."

He allowed silence to fill the air, he then continued.

"...But If you so choose to venture down this path. Your overconfidence shall be your undoing...."

Invisible hands found their way to tightly wrap themselves around Ophidian's neck, slowly draining the darkside devotees of the very air that he came to breath. Ophidian's air pathway became so obstructed that it caused the Zabrak to choke from the tight constriction of air that was barely flowing through his throat.

"Quite the contrary; it is your own insolence that will set your demise into motion…"

Ophidian started to feel the cold transparent grasp of darkside energies constrict his breathing. The darkside practitioner within moments, found himself losing his breathing.

Feeling at his throat, it took the apprentice mere seconds to become enraged.

Calling upon the darkside, Ophidian breathed, forcing air into his lungs, as much as he could. After a few moments, the choke began to weaken, Ophidian wouldn't know whether he had broke the hold or Zeta decided to release it. But it wouldn't matter, not to Ophidian.

Immediatly after, Ophidian, unclipped a hilt on his belt, and immediatly the air was filled with the eerie hum recognized by force users everywhere, the hum of a lightsaber.

Before Zeta even knew what had happened. The blade came around and rested above Zeta's shoulders and to the side of his face. The ethereal red glow from the blade Illuminating Zeta's face.

Zeta would find himself recognizing the double-bladed lightsaber Ophidian was holding, any sith would.

Rage and disproval was clearly evident with Ophidian as the plasma blade retracted. The turbulent storm in the background clearly growing in intensity, casted an eerie dark purpleish landscape as lightning and thunder echoed in the background among the darkened sky.

"I shall honor my part...."

There was no question in Zeta's mind as to the origin of Ophidian's blade.

"You make this all too easy for me, Ophidian," Zeta said, his mind taking note of the Zabrak's extraordinary use of control.

"It seems he has taught you well, but I will teach you even better. Come, let us walk."

So they walked, side by side, Ophidian never missing a step as he kept to Zeta's own form of step; the perfect replica.

"There is something you wish to tell me, what is it?"

The light fog and mist enveloped the two individuals, giving off an ominous glow.

"I have memories, instilled by my master years ago from my past life. Yet, I still cannot seem to remember everything coherently, as it is all slowly coming back to me. What I can tell you, is that my ways are the ways of old."

He paused as the two made their way to their destination he continued.

"I also have no recollection of the past events of recent years. A holocron would be most beneficial in that regard."

The two came upon a crevice, which Ophidian entered, and Zeta followed, obviously assuming his apprentice knew where they were going.

The walkway widened into a large room, the room had lit up to reveal a hidden hanger, wherein rested a ship.

He turned to his new master.

"I am not sure how you chanced upon me, but I must request that you keep all references to my former self a secret, that is including this ship, as revealing such may spoil my former master's plans."

He turned to Zeta, as if remembering a new memory. His hollow, almost lifeless red eyes, gave Zeta a wickedly eerie yet humble air.

He asked calmly.

"What is the status of the Jedi?"

Zeta gave way to bare little expression toward his newest apprentice, his gaze seeming to mirror that of Ophidian's.

"How I came upon you may not be vital, not so long as you know that your secret is safe with me. It is your business if you wish to keep me for my word or not. I gain nothing of revealing such a secret."

Ophidian and Zeta both knew how much of a lie his word was when it came to revealing the secret; there was much to gain from the truth. Despite seeing this, and knowing this, Zeta's perception held fast to his spoken words; for keeping the truth to himself offered him a great more deal of power than the truth could ever bring if it were to ever be revealed.

"... Vulnerable," Zeta said after a moments pause, his eyes dancing with light amusement.

".. We have not heard from the Jedi in some time, not since our last invasion upon them. I am sure it would please you to know that we were victorious in our efforts to invade the Jedi. Despite such constructive news, I can still say that we have not seen the last of the Jedi. We continue to plan for their impending annihilation."
